I'm really happy that you like the S3 finale! I actually am not a fan of it myself (none of the 2 reasons you gave, just that I think it was paced too fast and would've liked to see some moments lingered on more, but I didn't hate it like many others did), but it's refreshing to hear a more positive perspective on it. What are some things you liked about the finale?

Dragon Bug is still Marinette's best powered up outfit

Snake Noir carrying the fight on his back + him resetting time before he saw Ladybug's identity even though he could have gotten away with knowing

Marinette becoming the guardian

I don't mean this in a positive way like I enjoyed it or something, but Adrien and Kagami's relationship showing the first cracks, it transitioned beautifully into the episode Lies

Adrigaminette being together and in love

The ladynoir content obviously, that hug healed all the emotional damage from watching Marinette cry

Marinette being a selfless adorable sweetheart by placing Adrien and Kagami's happiness above her own

I feel that the reason why the *writers* (let put the blame were really belongs...) made Marinette choose the Dragon rather than the Bee so she "commit a mistake to learn a lesson" (throwing Mari's character development backwards)... And the sad thing is that they could easily made Love Eater an akuma that *needed* the Dragon to be defeated, but Mari wonders if the Bee could be an alternative exactly to do not cut the Adrigami date... but forced by the akuma to do so...

Why does the fanbase ALWAYS come up with better ideas than in canon is BEYOND ME🙄

(What if Felix never existed?)

As a result of the poll, I decided to make an AU about Felix. So no Felix.

-For the most part,the first two seasons don’t change at all.

-So how does the episode Felix Play out without Felix?

-The intro is the same, with Gabriel about to tell Adrien only for him to say the thing about Nathalie, throwing Gabriel off.

-With no Felix, the only person visiting is Amelie. Who asks about the rings but doesn’t get much farther than that.

-Adrien’s friends make the video, and without Felix doing the impersonation. Adrien gets to see all the videos. Including Marinette’s.

-With Amelie there, Gabriel is still a bit on guard but nothing really changes. No akumatization because Felix didn’t meddle.

-Amelie leaves saying she will see them another time.

-Adrien goes and sees his friends, thanking him for the video.

-Now the key difference here is, Adrien did see Marinette’s confession. And we know that Fate usually intervenes to prevent Marinette from confessing. But this time, there is no intervention.

-After puppeteer 2.0 and the statue scene we know Adrien started wondering about Marinette (according to Season 5 episode Determination) which means Marinette’s confession may shake things up more.

-That being said, Adrien probably wouldn’t know how to respond to her feelings, since he also has his crush on ladybug and Kagami also in pursuit.

-So Adrien asks to talk with Marinette. He explains that he saw her video and he is glad she thinks so much of him. And as for her feelings, he needs to sort out his own feelings. And he appologizes he can’t give her a straight answer right now.

-Marinette would be a bit sad by this, but it’s not a no. She mumbles a response that she understands and won’t put him on the spot. Something He appreciates. As Kagami is doing the opposite.

-This leads into Loveater/ heart Hunter.

-Which has Marinette now a bit more emotional and uncertain, since she did put her feelings out to Adrien

-She still had to help with the catering and Luka gives her a lift.

-Kagami, Adrien and Marinette shenanigans ensues but this time with a bit more tension, as Kagami and Marinette have expressed interest in Adrien.

-Adrien is now very split, and is unsure of which way to lean. Go for Kagami or Marinette. But they still have fun like in canon.

-Andre senses the tension and does not help at all.

-Leading to Kagami being assertive and putting Adrien on the spot. Having him decide the ice cream. Instead of deferring to Marinette.

-Adrien unsure of what to say. Marinette noticed he was uncomfortable and simply says she needs to head back and to enjoy the ice cream without her.

-Kagami doesn’t go after Marinette, because she sees that Marinette was making the choice. She did feel bad… and then realized Adrien went after her.

-Kagami told Andre that she would be back and left to go check.

-Adrien says that they can come help her. But Marinette says she doesn’t need the help. Adrien insists.

-Marinette says that she wants him to be happy with the girl he loves, like the one he mentioned. That it’s okay. But Adrien says that girl isn’t Kagami.

-“She doesn’t love me back.”

-That was a surprise, Adrien confesses that the girl he talked about, she didn’t feel the same way and that she made it clear. That… that he’s okay with it. He wasn’t at first, but he realized that he grew beyond those feelings.

-Marinette asks who the girl was that turned him down.

-“You wouldn’t know her… I’m not even sure I know her.”

-Kagami had stopped and overheard what he was saying. And it was heartbreaking.

-Kagami runs off heading back to that party.

-Only for her to get caught by Loveater.

-Marinette sees the sorrow on Adrien’s face, he could see that right now, Adrien needed more time to process his feelings.

-“You don’t need to reciprocate feelings if you aren’t ready to deal with them. I don’t think I or Kagami would want you to move forward if you aren’t ready to. Your feelings matter.”

-That plucked something for Adrien. Hearing Marinette say that did help shake something loose. But the moment couldn’t be capitalized on since heart Hunter showed up!

-Marinette and Adrien barely escape and transform.

-Not as emotionally devastated as she was in canon. But still not thinking as clearly.

-Marinette summons her lucky charm and she realizes she needs help from Fu.

- Marinette forgot to detransform.

-But, Ladybug did pick Chloe for back up, since Ladybug’s mine was in a different set.

-Fu still got captured by Hawkmoth and Mayura.

-Hawkmoth realizes he knows none of the kwami names and thus can’t command them. And since he doesn’t have Chloe to exploit, since she was picked by Ladybug, Hawkmoth needed a new plan.

I still can't get over Kagami's behavior in Loveater

When Andre gave them the 3 ice cream choices, instead of asking for Adrien's opinion or choosing it herself, Kagami asked Marinette to choose.

Keep in mind that she discovered few seconds ago how much the ice cream means to Marinette regarding eternal love.

Knowing Marinette's insecurities and selflessness, Kagami figured out that she would never choose the Adrinette ice cream. It was the perfect opportunity to make her leave so she had some private time with him. Then when Marinette started rambling about which combination to choose,

she moved provocatively next to Adrien

... while smiling to her. This is manipulation level 100000.

It doesn't help that she thinks that Adrien may feel the same towards Marinette.

Anyway I understand the point of the writers : Kagami sees romance as a fencing match ; she is using every means to win. However, that episode was written from Marinette's perspective so I couldn't like Kagami and still can't

Not to be petty (I am) but I did cheer up when all her fantasies about Mister Perfect turned into ashes in Lies.

I mean like that's what you get.

Being mean and egocentric does have consequences and the best thing was that the one who hurted her was not Marinette whom she was glaring to in season 3 but the perfect trophy that she won from their fencing match and that couldn't do no harm.

Anyway the whole Kagami advocating adrinette in season 4 still doesn't convince me even if her feelings were true.

She basically broke up with Adrien because of his lies. She has no guarantee that he wouldn't be dishonest with Marinette and hurt her too. Why would she think "he is perfect for Marinette" ?

The reason : writing inconsistencies to try to move the plot forward, the same way they made Kagami fall in love with him in the first place out of the blue when she didn't show any sort of interest in Riposte

The only thing that could redeem Kagami for me is a soft Kagami -> Marinette hug in season 5. But I doubt it will happen

Another one of those Imperial defectors and their associated lasat pal. This is Amay Triss, a half-Twi'lek and former stormtrooper. They and their squad are one of the many captured by the polar countries. Their coloring and raw singing talent got them noticed by one of the recruiting agencies that find potential artist apprentices for wealthy houses.

Amay took a little while to settle in, helped by Loveat, the lasat in this picture and another apprentice singer. It took them a while to realize they were no longer considered a hostage but instead a valued member of the household, and they're still nervous that messing up will result in expulsion onto the ice. Loveat does her best to reassure her friend that even if Amay flunks out, they'll have a home with her family.

I don't know if they'll end up a romantic pair, but Loveat calls Amay her "snow spirit." Pastel coloring is common in the polar countries, but totally white pelts are rare. Usually, all-white lasats in myth are sent by the spirits to help heroes on their quests, emerging out of the swirling blizzard.

The dark markings around Loveat's eyes are also common in the polar countries, and help redirect the glare from the snow.

wait is the s5 ending actually bad I am concerned

Honestly I don't think I can say. First of all because I don't know how you're defining "bad" (bad storytelling? Bad characterization? Bad outcome?) but second of all because the spoilers aren't..... Specific, if that makes sense? I really can't explain it. I know how S6 is gonna go on, and I know a few key details, but I don't really know what the ending of S5 looks like. I mean, I don't know. We've known how things were gonna end since the beginning. This is not a show that's gonna have some gotcha grimdark ending. And frankly, the finale episodes especially had vague synopses. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone else so I'm being vague but.....

Imagine having watched seasons 1 and 2, and you hear about season 3. You know there's a kwami swap episode, you know that Max gets a Miraculous, you know that at some point Mayura will be making an appearance or two, you know that at the beginning of the next season Hawk Moth will have the fixed Peacock Miraculous. You don't know that Marinette is gonna become Guardian, that she almost gets akumatized, that Juleka wants to be a model, that Chat ends up learning that Marinette was Multimouse, that Alya and Nino got akumatized into Oblivio, that Félix is gonna introduce two very important rings. You definitely don't know about the adorable Adrigaminette in Loveater, the Adrinette nap in Startrain, the angsty way Adrien gives up the Snake in Desperada.

That's how I would describe the gaps in knowledge. I know stuff. I know that I know stuff. But I don't know so much that I think it's not worth it to watch S5, because most of the stuff that I love about Miraculous has not been spoiled.

Akuma fashion show a Go Go

And rules as follows

1. They will be rated only for the season they appeared in, so unless they get a redesign or updated look they don’t count

2. For each season I will be ranking one best and one worst.

3. These are the opinions Based Solely on asthetic, I will not be taking into account their powers or abilities, or even if they are my favorite akuma.

4. Akuma only, so no heroes villains or sentimonsters.

Season 1 Best and Worst

Best: Stormy weather

What can I say, the look is iconic for a reason, she set the bar high and she always blows away the competition.

The twisting hair, the purple dress and slick akuma shaped mask. Also the choice of weapon.

Worst: Animan

The problem is he has no original form. Vanisher also has the same problem but his just seems lazier considering he gets to be the main akuma in an episode.

Not much to say except do better

Season 2 Best and Worst

Best: Reverser

I love the symmetry of his design. It’s something Death the kid and Thanos would agree with. The asthetic works so well and while I’m grading on looks it’s neat how his power factors in.

Marc knocked it out of the park with this design

Worst: Gigatitan

It’s boring. It’s so standard that it’s not even bad. Some of the designs this season were weird but I can’t say they were awful. But this one is just bland. I will probably forget it after I post this

Season 3 Best and worst

Best: Desperada

I want to specify this is Solely asthetic. She isn’t my favorite akuma and the episode she is in is divisive, but I love her look. The music theme and bad ass rocker make up with touches of Gold. Different instrument weapons. Brilliant aesthetic.

Worst: Loveater

Season 3 had a lot of not that great designs but Loveater is a horrific monster. And is still the UGLIEST akuma to this day. It’s the embodiment of what a toxic relationship looks like.

Season 4 Best and worst

Best: Qilin

Originally I was going to put wishmaker on here, but Damn does this design Slap! And there are some solid designs. I just wish the episode debut was better. Outside of that, it’s just a cool armor and the glowing jade eyes are cool.

Worst: Ephemeral

If Loveater is the visual representation of a toxic relationship, Ephemeral is the visual representation of Child abuse. The design looks so wrong, looking like a neon grape and the sad look on his face sells it. While even the ugliest designs have some charm, this is just a crime to look at.

Season 5 Best and Worst

Best: Safari

It’s the best akuma design. The Hunter/Lara Croft tomb raider asthetic. The shades, then boots. The way her hair looks. The fit got me acting up. Plus while it’s unrelated to the asthetic, the way she tells Monarch to f*** off, and Provides the kwami swap episode we deserved. Easiest pick for me.

Worst: Sans-Culotte

She looks like a glob of toothpaste. I feel like she was in a Aquafresh commercial and while I get what they were going for… I hate the design. It doesn’t look good. It looks like she doesn’t have a nose.
