Book Bellatrix is (part one):
Very tall. Taller than all three of the trio according to Harry when Hermione uses polyjuice to turn into her.
Quick. She’s able to stun four snatchers at once even when they’re in an uproar against her. They all ‘fell where they stood’ suggesting they didn’t even have time to stop her. Greyback is also restricted before he can even try to stop her and bound and kneeling at her feet.
Still very attractive after Azkaban again according to Harry despite that she makes his stomach lurch every time he looks at her.
Has ‘very long rippling black hair’ that’s not curly. It’s still rippling but now it’s become slightly coarse rather than silken and shiny like it was before Azkaban.
Bloodthirstier. She interrogates Griphook and when she’s satisfied with his answer she casually flicks her wand to cut him deep in the face then doesn’t even look back at him as he falls to his knees and screams in agony.
Thin. Not gaunt looking like she was right after her release from Azkaban but that’s part of why she’s so intimidating. She’s tall and thin.
Violent. She hit Ron across the face (just to get him to shut up) so hard his mouth was filled with blood and the sound was so loud it echoed around the room. She’s so violent it seems second nature.
Low (almost sultry) and disdainful in her baritone / voice. I always read her lines in Angelina’s Maleficent voice.
Not thin lipped! Just puts her lips into a line or purses her lips from time to time.
Feared and revered even amongst the goblins of gringots who ‘do not get involved in wizarding issues’.
Has an outright ‘malevolent aura’. So much so she’s never questioned or affronted. All along Diagon alley people were quickly stealing away from her to hide, too terrified of her to stick around.
Known to be closest to Voldemort even in public and non-pureblood circles.
Terrifying. She’s described as ‘frightening, mad’ when she’s screaming orders — so much so even her own sister who had been reluctant to do as she wants does so anyway. Even Fenrir Greyback is scared of her. When she finally releases him he ‘appeared too weary to approach her’ and would rather ‘prowl behind an armchair’ than get too close to Bellatrix.
Physically strong. Certainly strong enough to drag Hermione by her hair into the middle of the room. Strong enough to throw off Lucius’ attempt to grasp her and capture him herself in her grasp.
Ruthless. ‘If she dies under questioning, I’ll take you next. Blood traitor is next to mudblood in my book.’ Something she tells Ron after she’s hit him. She’s also incredibly calm when she’s being violent or hurting people. She doesn’t think twice on it.
A natural leader. She takes charge in most situations. She gives orders easily and she doesn’t care who she’s giving them to. She tells Draco to ‘move this scum outside. If you haven’t got the guts to finish them then leave them in the courtyard for me.’ When indicating to the snatchers she left unconscious.

If I Was In The Council
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before anyone says shit, I got permission from Kierra to do this. So shut.
Also, go read The Council by @itskierrababyy
Tumblr media
Name: Kita Shizuka
Appearance:
They didn’t have Kita hair :(.
Tumblr media
Sign: Capricorn
MBTI: INTP
Song: Maneater by Nelly Furtado
Headcanons:
Shinsuke is my twin brother. Throughout our whole lives, we’ve been seen as a contrasting pair. People have always seen Shinsuke as the more authoritative type, getting things done and always winning. I was seen as the more softer one. The one who played in the flower fields, loved to paint and ice skate, always listened, and was a very quiet, obedient child. And in front of adults, that may be true, but Shinsuke and I are more alike than people think.
The punishments Shinsuke used, the cruelty he displayed, the idea of The Council, all of that was because of me. Shinsuke was a ruler, but he was not a punisher. His mind was not creative enough to come up with cruel strategies and heartless games.
The student body loves me because they think I’m the kinder Kita, but they don’t know that their friends that have perished were gone because of me. They see a girl who helps her classmates, a girl who picks up fallen books and helps people study. They see a girl with a smile as warm as the sun. They don’t see the cold heart that lays beneath, the dark shadows that follow her everywhere she goes, nor do they see why she wears white gloves.
White is a symbol for innocence and purity, white gloves symbolize high status, clean hands, and cleanliness.
The students don’t see that the gloves are there because my hands are clean, I don’t do dirty work. I don’t have blood on my hands, unlike my brother. Instead, my blood is soiled. The blood that runs through my veins is blacker than anyone else’s in the school. The student body doesn’t see that behind the angelic facade is the demonic prodigy of The Council.
After Y/N joins The Council, I invite her to have a cup of tea in the student council office. She’s surprised to know I’m even on the student council, thinking I was just another student who was related to Mr. President.
Over time, Y/N starts to realize that Shinsuke isn’t the puppet master of Inarizaki, but me.
Yes, I made myself OP. Got a problem with it? No, you don’t.
Istg Atsumu is so fucking annoying, I smack him upside the head at least once a day.
But not Osamu.
Osamu, my beloved <3.
Does Shinsuke know? No. Does he need to? No.
I should make a Council!Me x Council!Osamu wedding.
I hate Suna sometimes. Mf will wake me up in the middle of the night just to spill tea to me. It’s fucking annoying like ?? Wait til it’s not 2 am Mf ???
Aran is sane <3. I also always steal his money during card games.
I’m the best gambler in Inarizaki. That’s not relevant tbh, but it should be.
I’m also dad’s favorite.
Shinsuke is fucking dumb as fuck. Like he’s smart or whatever, but to me, he’s just a loser.
(I love you, Kita <3)
In front of adults: oh, what loving siblings.
In front of Shinsuke’s friends: they either hate each other or are just both assholes with love.
I do have friends other than council members.
I’m not gonna name them, but they’re there.
I’m the best at solitaire. No one can beat my record.
Because I have a personality outside of being the puppeteer, I’m also a figure skater <3.
I’m the best character in The Council. Case closed.
Anyways, here’s a poem I’m relating to Council!Me.
“She wore silk dresses
and flower crowns
and she was loved
she was soft
and then she was stolen
this is the story they tell.
they do not speak of her rages
when she would pull rain from the clouds
and the flowers beneath her feet would turn black
they do not speak of how she laughed
when icarus fell from the sky in a golden plume
they do not speak
of how she grew flowers
because she enjoyed watching them
fade and die
and they do not speak
of how she pounded at the gates of hell until they opened
and how she let pomegranate juice
drip from her smiling lips
and how even Hades
trembled under her gaze.”

I hate when writers make Bellatrix this weird short curly haired goth girl who everyone bullies because that’s so out of character. Like, she’s literally the first of the newest generations of Blacks to go to Hogwarts, everyone would be in awe of her because of the rumours they hear about Blacks, even the other families in the sacred 28 — and damn does she live up to her reputation. She’s snooty and arrogant and up herself but she’s so proficient with a wand there’s no way she hasn’t been learning magic since before she could walk or talk. She’s intimidating even at the age of 11 with perfect sleek black waves and the exact shade of dark grey eyes which are only known to the Black family. She’s from the most ancient and noblest pureblood house there is and she damn well acts it. Of course all the Slytherins want to be her friend and the rest of the school despite being high-key very afraid of her want to either be her or be with her. She comes back after summers with a subtle tan and an aura of dark magic surrounding her, the most mysterious girl at school. She has the most thrilling laugh, mostly because she doesn’t laugh often, but it captures everyone’s attention. She’s no brute either like mulciber, crabbe, goyle — she’s too arrogant, disdain marking her features because if you’re not worth talking to she won’t (unless to utter a hex or two if you’re really truly unlucky). She has an exclusive circle that’s impossible to get into without invitation, but she’s so so charming. She plays her professors so beautifully, playing nice with Slughorn when he invites her to club dinners and parties. Even Dumbledore can’t help but like her despite her particular proclivities for dark magic. She’s a prefect too and she’s always scoring top marks in classes. She’s even thrown Tom riddle off a few leaderboards. Those kids who do hate her? They hate out of jealousy, anger, resentment — she’s not afraid to put them in their place, but they rarely speak out. Why would they against a Black witch? They’re known for their dark magic and curses, they won’t risk her wrath, she could curse their entire bloodline and look gorgeous doing it. She’s intimidating as all hell anyway, tall and with a dark beauty, privilege and nobility written across her face, so it’s not worth their time. Don’t tell me she was bullied or a bully, there’s no way Bellatrix fucking Black was anything less than the most infamous pureblood princess to grace those unworthy halls.

I like to think that Voldemort really enables Bellatrix especially post-Azkaban, letting her act on more of her violent impulses even towards other death eaters and he finds it quite amusing. Everyone else knows they can’t really complain to him because he’s going to give them the “what? you can’t handle one witch yourself??” knowing each of them know in turn that she is not just any witch she’s Bellatrix Black, the most dangerous witch alive and sole student of Lord Voldemort himself. You know the occasional “behave, Bella” is said with a smirk and followed by a remark like “you’re upsetting Dolohov/Malfoy/whoever” in the most brutal snark. I just like to imagine their mutual toxicity extends beyond the remits of their relationship and further to every person in the world, enemy or ally.

i hate fanon narcissa. sorry but she's the ultimate bad bitch not a soft little girl. my literal ice queen. she's not abused and mistreated and sold off to marry someone against her will. she's the baby of the family and she is spoilt beyond comprehension, she has mummy wrapped around her finger, she gets everything she wants when she wants it because she knows how to play the game. she's quiet, self-assured and poised, but she's a slytherin through and through, she's cunning, calculating, dangerous in her own way. she's poison in your wine goblet as she smiles at you. she's manners and elegance, but she's everything pureblood. she's very much a black despite her looks. she's arrogant, haughty, believes herself to be better than everyone else (because she is bitch). she cried into bella's shoulder the night andy left and then never uttered her name again, she was even more furious than bellatrix was but her fury is different - when she cuts you out, you could die of frost bite. she married of her own volition like bella did, but unlike bella who married her best friend she married someone she knew she could make a family with and be happy with. she's the ultimate pureblood princess turned queen.

Obsessed with how you portray father Cygnus (I hate black sisters abuse theories) please give us all your headcannons for him!
You and me both, anon! My headcanons list for daddy warbucks is ENDLESS so here are a good chunk. Enjoy!
◜    ۞    ◞   he’s a Black through and through. Tall, broad, grey eyes, black hair, classically handsome even as he gets older and older. Behind Tom Riddle he was certainly one of the most handsome boys at school despite that he’s 2 years younger than Tom.
◜    ۞    ◞   his best subjects were arithmancy, astronomy and alchemy.
◜    ۞    ◞   his magical expertise is astounding — of course it is, he’s a Black — he can recall histories of ancient lineages in his sleep and he practices rune mapping regularly. His skin is littered in runes, though admittedly, not as deeply as Orion’s is.
◜    ۞    ◞   like all Blacks he relies on his name more than anything else. They’re arrogant but they’re not show-offs like the Malfoys. They’re haughty but not snooty like the Rosiers. More than anything he knows how steeped in ancient and dark magic the Blacks are and he draws on that heavily, investing himself deeply in their unique, powerful, dark magic.
◜    ۞    ◞   he also loves hunting (muggle hunting is a favourite), wizards chess, collecting dark artefacts — which he’s been doing for as long as he can remember, having ludicrously expensive things imported from all over the world. It was a hobby of his fathers which he shared interest in.
◜    ۞    ◞   Speaking of his dad, he and Pollux had a lot in common but Pollux’s pride and joy was always Walburga.
◜    ۞    ◞   Pollux pushed him for a career in magical law with the Ministry. Irma wanted him to become an alchemist. Alchemy was his passion, a passion he later shares with his eldest daughter, Bellatrix.
◜    ۞    ◞   He excelled in magical law enforcement anyway, taking additional studies to become a magilawyer. He climbs quickly in the Ministry, moving from junior to senior within the space of about four years. By the age of 30 he’s the head of magical law enforcement, the youngest wizard in Ministry history to reach that position.
◜    ۞    ◞   For a long time he remains magilawyer primarily keeping purebloods out of Azkaban and supporting the imprisonment of mudbloods. Yes he’s a corrupt wizard, no he does not care.
◜    ۞    ◞   he’s heir (English side, Orion is the French side’s heir) to the wealthiest family in the world. He has more gold than he knows what to do with. When he returns from the continent he invests it heavily in Lord Voldemort, who he’s always thought has absolutely the right ideas about blood purity and whom he genuinely admires (despite that he was not invited to become a knight at school).
◜    ۞    ◞   Cygnus refuses to take the mark unlike many of his former classmates. Voldemort would’ve killed him for refusing him but Cygnus is useful and loyal despite his refusal to play destroy for him. Voldemort immediately uses him for keeping his death eaters out of prison if they’re ever caught, which isn’t often — and for writing new rules into the law systems of magical Britain.
◜    ۞    ◞   he and Druella were a love match, though she is his complete opposite. His father approved of the match (she’s a good standing pureblood witch after all) but his mother didn’t and wanted him to marry a Black, likely his cousin Lucretia. She relented because of Walburga, who made the point of — what does it matter? His children will still be Blacks.
◜    ۞    ◞   onto his babies!!! He’s very very proud to be a girl dad. He adores his three witches, every single one of them is the absolute light of his life and he understands them completely. He gets Bellatrix’s adventurous mind and rebellious spirit, he gets Andromeda’s academic mind and quirky spirit, he gets Narcissa’s pristine mind and sweet spirit. He adores them for their uniqueness and very much encourages them to explore and pursue their passions.
◜    ۞    ◞  baby Narcissa curled up on his chest is guaranteed to make him fall asleep within seconds.
◜    ۞    ◞   Druella definitely marks him down as the reason Bellatrix takes the mark and Andromeda becomes politically minded against their way of life. Cygnus takes none of the blame because his girls have always been single-mindedly passionate to what they believe in.
◜    ۞    ◞   Andromeda’s leaving wounds him deeply, but only furthers his closeness to Bellatrix and Narcissa, remaining very much a deep and fixed part of their lives.
 ◜    ۞    ◞   he’s daddy as fuck.
◜    ۞    ◞   100% Alphard was his best friend. He did not approve of him being disowned for giving Sirius gold, though he did heavily disapprove of Sirius’s actions against the family.
◜    ۞    ◞   Walburga is the love of his life, he adores his big sister though he finds her intolerable at times (as all siblings do). He bends over backwards for her and does it without thinking twice. He is also exceptionally protective of her — cut to Cygnus decking Orion in the face for calling her a stuck up bitch and Walburga telling him she ‘wanted to do that herself!’
◜    ۞    ◞   Narcissa has done him the most proud for her family values and her integrity.
◜    ۞    ◞   Bellatrix has done him the most proud for her strength, ability, power and position in society.
◜    ۞    ◞   he approved of Bellatrix being taught magic by Voldemort when she’s 15 — after all, she’s practically a child and Voldemort is older than him what’s the worst that could happen?
◜    ۞    ◞   He didn’t realise how in love with him she was until he hears them conversing when she’s 19 and engaged to Rodolphus Lestrange. He didn’t mean to listen in, but he overhears her begging him not to marry her to Rodolphus and take her instead. He says no but that it won’t change things between them, she’ll always be his first. It stilts Cygnus entirely and he leaves quickly. He never shares what he hears with anyone, even Bellatrix.
◜    ۞    ◞   he finds out about Orion and Bellatrix’s affair first. He finds them asleep together when they’re in Orion’s home in France.
◜    ۞    ◞   if he could, he’d have had her marry Sirius and keep the Black family name. As it is, he was too young for her and also she seems dead set against having children anyway — and he doubts Sirius could change her mind, so he relents against his preferences for her marriage.
◜    ۞    ◞   as for Rodolphus I have two ideas for how this could go: either way he loves his son in-law, they have an excellent relationship and they’re both dangerously protective of Bellatrix. 1. Rodolphus and Bellatrix have been best friends since their childhood, it makes sense they marry each other. Bellatrix doesn’t mind so much, he’d make for an easy enough match and she does seem to adore the wizard. It’s an easy engagement, easy marriage, and they make a beautiful couple. 2. Rodolphus is Cygnus and Voldemort’s age, a former peer of theirs. Rodolphus never marries and never shows he’s interested in Bellatrix. Bellatrix expresses her interest in him directly to a very surprised but perfectly pleased Cygnus who agrees he’s an exceptional wizard and would make for a brilliant husband. Plus if Orion proves anything, he knows his girl has always liked her older wizards. They court for some time, get engaged within a year and married in the next — again they make a beautiful couple.
◜    ۞    ◞   he is not keen on Lucius Malfoy despite that he seems to dote on Narcissa and bend to her every whim. Narcissa deserves far better — but honestly no one would be good enough for his most precious girl, so fine.
◜    ۞    ◞   He knew about Bellatrix and Voldemort’s affair and did everything in his power to keep it from ruining his daughter’s reputation which he felt she was being reckless about.
◜    ۞    ◞   he tried to talk her out of it multiple times but it only seemed to further her closeness to Voldemort and Voldemort’s iron-tight grip on his daughter.
◜    ۞    ◞   one day when he finally confronts him, Voldemort says if he wanted to make his pretty little daughter his personal whore he would, and who would stop him? Certainly not Cygnus Black. Cygnus (in his very characteristically Black temperament) pulled all Black funding from under Voldemort’s feet and found himself on the other end of Voldemort’s wand. When Cygnus refused to relent despite the threat of death, Voldemort turned his wand onto Bellatrix. He had the choice — continue giving him the gold he wanted or lose his heiress. He didn’t think he could actually kill her given how close they were and how heavily involved with everything Bellatrix was (and quite frankly, how obsessed and possessive of Bellatrix Voldemort appeared to be) but Cygnus complied.
◜    ۞    ◞   he once more risked Voldemort’s wrath by demanding the man at least have the decency to marry his daughter when he gets her pregnant. Voldemort only laughed and Cygnus lost what little respect for him he had left after that. Though he continues supporting the cause, he actively avoids Voldemort unless he can’t. Even then, he speaks to him with a candour and freeness no one else (except Walburga and Pollux) seem able to.
◜    ۞    ◞   Despite that, he absolutely adores his little granddaughter (more than his grandson, sorry Draco). Delphini means the world to Cygnus and he’s grateful to Walburga for legitimising her.
◜    ۞    ◞  the most devoted, hands-on grandfather you will ever come across. Absolutely spoils his girl rotten just like he did her mother.
◜    ۞    ◞  he continues hunting well into his older age, almost always solely with Bellatrix. It hurts him just a little she goes with Voldemort more than him. During the height of the war he never sees her without him nor him without her.
◜    ۞    ◞   he loses his job when he fights for Bellatrix’s release from Azkaban prison. He’s disbarred and revoked of his positions and titles. He’s heart broken and inconsolable at his daughter’s imprisonment, his most beautiful, shining star chained behind bars. He misses her beyond belief and not Walburga, Druella or Narcissa are able to pull him from his grief.
◜    ۞    ◞   he dies from the heartbreak of losing Bellatrix to Azkaban and then soon after, Walburga’s death. No one is with him when he passes, but his hand is tight around the picture he keeps of Bellatrix with him all the time. Delphini takes the picture and keeps it herself.

Do you think Bellatrix knew that Voldemort is halfblood?
Yes though I can never decide how I’d like for her to find out.
I can’t imagine she didn’t know, given how defensive of him she became when Harry was shouting “your beloved master is a half blood!” to her. Personally I saw that scene as her being entirely defensive of him because she knew but likely a majority of death eaters didn’t.
I think if she’d not have known she’d have been confused as opposed to angry.
I imagine despite it wasn’t common knowledge, given her own status and family standing as one of the sacred 28 she was taught about blood history and at some point when she found out his name was Tom Riddle it clicked that he had to be a half blood.
Also her parents knew him from school (at least, Cygnus certainly did) as did her Aunt Walburga. Though they themselves weren’t death eaters they knew him and his cause well enough to be agreeing with his mentality, thoughts and ideologies and were probably throwing gold at him too. They likely told her about him — either to warn her not to get wrapped up in him, to tell her because she’s curious — or my personal preference, to be yelled that he is a half blood by her aunt when Walburga finds out Bellatrix is having an affair with Voldemort.
I think there are too many ways for her to know than to not know. I also think she’s far too smart not to figure it out herself anyway.

Druella and Bellatrix thoughts or hcs?
Again sorry its taken me so long to answer this, i'm getting to all my oldest asks today (some 2 months old like this one)!!! Have a few thoughts and HCs about their relationship.
◜    ۞    ◞   Bellatrix has never got along with her, they differ far too greatly not just in looks — Druella: blonde, blue eyed, thin lipped, soft featured, Bellatrix: black haired, grey eyed, full lips, strong features — but also in personality. Bellatrix is just like Walburga. Druella hates that.
 ◜    ۞    ◞   Bellatrix calls her ‘Druella’.
◜    ۞    ◞   Druella was always far too hard on Bellatrix. Too much Black and not enough Rosier, she would say.
◜    ۞    ◞   Druella was extremely disappointed in Bellatrix for taking up with the Dark Lord. She called her his whore multiple times. It didn’t ever bother Bellatrix what she thought. If anything her mother’s disdain for the Dark Lord only pushed her harder into his clutches and his bed.
◜    ۞    ◞   Bellatrix would actively rebel out against Druella who wanted her to be a good pureblood wife and mother. She married of her own volition, choosing Rodolphus herself (Druella wanted her to marry someone else) and refusing to have children by him.
◜    ۞    ◞   the only time Bellatrix was ever physically violent to her mother was when she called her unborn child ‘a half-blood’s bastard’. She slapped her so hard she had a mark on her face for weeks that no potion or salve could heal. Bellatrix struck her with a heavy force of her dark magic and it terrified her. Druella stopped speaking out against him after that.
◜    ۞    ◞   Druella did however, grow to love her granddaughter very much. She may not have approved but she saw so much of her beautiful little baby Bellatrix in Delphini and couldn’t help find the little girl charming and sweet. She died just before Draco was born but she’d have had a softer spot for him instead.
◜    ۞    ◞   Druella’s death did very little to Bellatrix. By then she’d seen so much of war it didn’t even hurt and she certainly didn’t cry at her funeral, but even if she hadn’t been at war, it wouldn’t have made a difference.
◜    ۞    ◞   despite this all Bellatrix is still the Rosier heiress. She didn’t want the title but she can do nothing about it. She did however give the estates to Narcissa who uses it as a holiday home (seen as it’s in France). Bellatrix very rarely goes there, though she has fond memories of her great-aunt Vinda and her best friend and cousin Evan.

Sometimes I think about the fact that neither Sirius nor Bellatrix trusted Severus Snape and both made it perfectly well known to him. I think about how he must've been the only person left able to see the exact resemblance in them and know there was something going on between them, that their avid disdain for each other was perhaps just a rouse. But then how could he prove it? Bellatrix just as accomplished an occlumens as Severus himself (if not better) and in the decade Sirius spent in Azkaban, it seemed he'd become an occlumens too. Those Blacks were always so good at taking their secrets to the grave, and the half-blood Prince was not going to be able to uncover them.

Do you think Bellatrix felt protective of Regulus? Have they talked about Sirius and the possibility of her joining them? Bella and Reg's relationship is very underrated
Definitely protective. He was their heir after all. Though I personally like to throw in a little deviation now and again and suggest Bellatrix would've fought for heirship herself (I just feel given the complexity of her character as well as her pride would make her this way, particularly after Sirius leaves) after Sirius leaves and even more when Regulus dies.
I think Sirius is a sore subject for the both of them when he leaves. I personally don't think the brothers were as close as fandom likes to make them out to be. I rather like the idea of Sirius and Bellatrix having more kinship and Regulus and Narcissa having more kinship. I feel like Regulus and Narcissa embody the perfect heir type trope the Black family probably heavily doted on whereas Bellatrix and Sirius who no doubt embody everything Black (physically, in terms of temperament and in magic) are a little more rebellious. I mean...a gryffindor and the first female death eater anyone?
Back to Bellatrix and Reg however; I do appreciate their relationship too. I've said it in my previous post for a similar question but I think Reg is 100% head over heels for Bellatrix, she's everything he looks up to for a long time. I think she is far more confident than he is, far more exceptional with magic, far more perceptive, ultimately embodying everything he desperately wants to embody. She is the ultimate big sister to Reg (and Cissy & Andy).
I think Regulus closes off in talking about Sirius after he leaves because he resonates far more with his mother who is seething burning anger, but I think Bellatrix likely continues talking about Sirius with Orion - even if it is just to discuss what they should do about him. So I doubt they discuss him very much. I can however imagine Regulus overhearing Bellatrix and his father and wanting to talk to her about it when they're alone.
Bellatrix and Regulus are very different in my opinion, but there's no doubt they absolutely adore each other.

What are your Black-Gaunt family headcanons? :3
For the sake of this post this is for my first war Delphini AU (which @daughterofyourdarklord and I have been heavily invested in lately, so safe to assume she is the Delphini I have in mind writing these) otherwise they'd not have been much of a family. Enjoy this random handful of hcs anon!
◜    ۞    ◞   Think Addams family values. Delphini grows up around a lot of dark dangerous things (the dark dilf being the top of that list). She’s born of them, they’re dark magic incarnate, so she has a predisposition to it immediately.
◜    ۞    ◞   Bellatrix puts a dagger in Delphini’s hand for the first time when she’s 2. They take her muggle hunting when she’s 4, for the first time. It’s the first and last time, because Bellatrix is locked in Azkaban and Voldemort ‘dies’. However, they make habit of doing this fairly often as the three of them later when they’re together again. It’s been an old enjoyment of Bella and Voldemorts for years, after all.
◜    ۞    ◞   They’re an exceptionally well put together family. They always look immaculate together. For public events both witches take their places beside — and a step behind — Lord Voldemort. Bellatrix as commander of Death Eaters and Lord Voldemort’s right hand, is as always placed at his left side. Delphini as the reigning monarch and ‘the Augury’ of the wizarding world is on his right.
◜    ۞    ◞   Eventually, Delphini’s place becomes more prominent than Bellatrix’s. This happens when Voldemort officially titles Delphini the monarch of his reign three years after the end of battle of Hogwarts.
◜    ۞    ◞   Bellatrix Lestrange becomes Madame Black / Lady Black (for Voldemort, others addressing her as ‘my Lady’ feels a more appropriate) once more when Rodolphus dies in the battles which continue to rage for 3 years after the battle of Hogwarts, and Lord Voldemort publicly takes her as consort after over twenty years of their relationship being private. She takes her name back now she’s the Black heiress. It also feels better given Delphini is a Black too.
◜    ۞    ◞   Delphini is given many titles, she is seen as the saviour of the pureblood world (yes, we all know the irony of it). She is their reigning monarch, their Augury, their heiress, the daughter of the Dark Lord.
◜    ۞    ◞   They have a lot of snakes in their abode. Nagini accompanies Delphini publicly a majority of the time, however, Nagini actually spends most of her time alone with Bellatrix. She appreciates the witch’s company and curls herself around her whilst she sleeps. Voldemort will never say it but he reluctantly suspects its because the snake holds part of his soul. She is however, most protective of Delphini and entirely loyal to Voldemort.
◜    ۞    ◞   Neither Voldemort nor Bellatrix had to teach Delphini wandless magic, but Bellatrix did make sure to teach her blood magic and Voldemort taught her bone magic.
◜    ۞    ◞   They regularly engage in ancient dark rituals. It started with Bellatrix taking Delphini into Black family rituals and teaching her the ancient magic of the Blacks — runic readings, speaking to the stars, the power of magical blood, etc., and then Voldemort too began giving some time to both witches. He and Bella still engage in their own private rituals anyway — the ones they’ve been doing for years and years now.

What was Bellatrix like after Azkaban? How did it impact her and her relationships?
Anon I have to be honest, I hate fanon interpretation and the more I watch the movies the less I enjoy HBC's interpretation too. Don't get me wrong she's an exceptional actress and I absolutely fell in love with her the moment we saw her on screen but her version of Bellatrix is very very ooc from book canon.
There are some aspects of her I absolutely love from the films, but honestly book Bellatrix is where its at. Now, we don't know what Bellatrix was like pre-Azkaban. We get snippets of her but everything else we get is from Harry's perspective and he thinks her simultaneously repulsive and attractive.
So here's my take on post-Azkaban Bellatrix:
Mentally changed - no, not insane. Not in the way the films showed. I think she was marked criminally insane when she was sentenced to life in Azkaban however the actual meaning of 'criminally insane' is: not being responsible for ones criminal actions because of a mental disorder. She was fully aware of what she was doing and she did it all with pride for the love of her life and likely also because every action she took acted on her own personal beliefs that muggleborns and halfbloods and muggles are below her.
Similarly, a personal headcanon - she is mentally changed because she's been occluding so deeply and for so long. I think her perceptions of reality are slightly distorted, I think her perception of time is completely thrown off and I think this is because she was locked in a cell for 14 years and unable to be with the love of her life who she knew was alive but no one else believed her and she couldn't do anything about it.
I see her physically changed too. I think Azkaban didn't leave her too thin for too long and too ragged looking (like HBC's version with the birds nest hair and disgusting teeth) considering witches have a lovely little thing called magic... and Bellatrix also strikes me as too conceited to let herself look that bad. She was described 'feverish' in the department of mysteries but I personally put this down to bloodlust like a predator finally released from its cage. I think she practiced a lot of wandless dark magic in her cell whether it was rune marking - with her own blood too probably. I don't think she just sat there and rot away. I think she went deep into her magic while she occluded, calling to the stars to keep her love safe and so on.
Relationships:
Rodolphus. I think she missed him. I will forever headcanon they are best friends (who also happen to have very good sex) and they get on like a house on fire but Voldemort was always the one she felt that chemistry and deeper rooted passion with. I think they likely grow closer post-Azkaban.
Narcissa. This one is complicated. I think Narcissa is a little apprehensive of Bellatrix this time around. I think Bellatrix is a lot darker than she remembers, I think Narcissa sees a lot more of Voldemort in her sister and she begins to really resent it. I can imagine however that there's something about her darkness that Narcissa likes...something she can't resist getting close to given she too is a Black.
Voldemort. I think they find their rhythm fairly quickly. I think they spend a lot of time together, even if its just relearning each other. I think he doesn't see her as any different - if anything, he thinks her more beautiful. I think they spend every night together, I imagine her clingy and him for once not minding it. Their passion goes through the roof and I think Voldemort wants to indulge in her again and again for months on end (I mean with canon Delphi, how did that happen? Lots of hot filthy toe curling sex).
Delphini. in which of course I mean my AU where she's trio era. Now this one I think is more complicated. I love to headcanon that Delphini looks a lot like Bellatrix. I like to think Bellatrix finds her hard to look at for exactly that reason. She sees what she used to be in her daughter. I think physically she restrains herself from affection for a long time because she mentally can't take looking at her. However, I think eventually they start to heal and things will go back to normal.
Death Eaters. I don't doubt for one second every single one of them is shit scared of Bellatrix. I think they know her reputation well since pre-Azkaban and now she's even more ruthless they're not for a second going to test her.
Family: she's come out of prison 14 years and everyone she loved in her family (save Narcissa) is dead. That's a lot to wrap your head around. She loses her father, her Aunt, her Uncle (though I do like to HC Orion dies just before she goes to Azkaban) and she and Cissa are the last Blacks.
