Eddie goes live on Tiktok looking like absolute shit which is good because that’s what he feels like. He’s got a runny nose, a fever, a couch, and he’s got the camera held at a weird angle because he doesn’t even have his eyes open. He croaks out, “No one fucking tells you that if you breathe in all the toxic air in the hell dimension you spent spring break in than you shouldn’t marry a teacher who spends all day with germ-infested gremlins because you’ll catch every fucking upper respiratory infection in town.”
You can hear Steve, who sounds just as awful, tell Eddie to shut up and get off his phone before Eddie’s phone is shoved out of his hand and onto the floor. From the floor, you can only see part of the bedding and Eddie’s messy nightstand but you can hear Eddie say, “Oh-ho, does Steve Harrington have something to say? Does Steve ‘I don’t need a flu shot, this is just allergies’ Harrington wanna say something? Do you still have a fever? Yeah, then don’t-“
“Shut the fuck up or I’ll smother you in your sleep.”
“I’d like to see you gather the strength, big boy.”
They don’t talk much after that but Eddie never ends his live so for an hour and a half, you could listen to Steve and Eddie toss and turn, sneeze and cough, and gripe at each other about hogging the blankets until they fall asleep. Eventually Nancy picks up the phone, wearing two masks and protective goggles. She squints at the screen, rolls her eyes, and then ends the live.

plain language masking tips (to the best of my knowledge and ability):
masking is important because it both protects you against other people's germs, and protects other people against your germs. you can be carrying dangerous germs even if you aren't feeling sick right then. when there are diseases like the flu and COVID going around, it's important to mask in any situations where there are people around that you don't know. this is so you don't get them sick and they don't get you sick.
your friends might also ask you to mask around them. they might also ask you to mask at events where there's a lot of people, even if you know them. this is still to make sure nobody gets sick. it's okay to ask your friends to explain their reasons. lots of people have different reasons for asking their friends to mask. your friend might teach you something about diseases that i can't cover here.
a surgical mask and a cloth mask both protect other people from your germs, but don't provide much protection for you from other people's germs. they are about the same as each other. they are not as good at protecting other people as respirators.
a respirator is a mask that filters air and seals against your face. there are disposable respirators and reusable respirators. a respirator works by filtering the air, and making sure no air is coming into your nose or mouth that isn't filtered. a respirator has to seal around your face to work properly.
a disposable n94 or kn95 is a respirator that protects other people from your germs. because they are hard to fit, they are hard to wear correctly. if they fit correctly, they would protect you against other people's germs, but for most people, they don't. the reason they are hard to fit is because they have loops that attach to your ears. on a lot of people's faces, this leaves gaps around their cheeks and nose, which means air can get in and out without going through the mask.
a disposable n95 respirator both protects you from germs and protects other people from your germs. it's the best option for most people for daily use, because it's protective to both yourself and others. an n95 should have bands that wrap around your head. this makes it fit better than the ones above. if you get confused, remember: a mask that has bands that go around your head is always better than a mask that has loops that go on your ears.
a reusable p100 respirator is a plastic mask that you put p100 cartridges in to filter the air. it protects you against other people's germs the best out of all masks. it's not very good at protecting other people from your germs. it's good for situations where you are the only person masking out of dozens of other people. it might be uncomfortable or hurt to wear for long periods of time.
i am hoping to work with someone to add helpful drawings and diagrams and release this as a PDF soon. for now, please feel free to use this text for anything you want, with no attribution. feel free to change the wording to be more accessible.
if you have questions about masking, you can send me a message or an ask.
stay safe!

hiii i'm super bored, so here are dps sick headcanons
neil perry
seldom gets sick but when he does it hits him LIKE A TRUCK hates being sick he's allergic to penicillin so he feels very guilty about needing medication stubborn asf, will pretend he's fine for an annoying amount of time. will go to class watery eyed, sweaty, flushed red, shaking and half-delirious has to be forced to rest, but once that's managed he's very calm and sleeps through most of his sickness loves soup. his mom used to (and still does if he happens to get sick while he's home) make him some kind of special soup whenever he got sick and he loved it. give the boy some soup it will cure 99% of his illness.
todd anderson
gets sick frequently but goes through it pretty lightly he's never like, suffering, more like inconvenienced takes him such a long time though. he has never been sick less than a week fatigue hits him hard, he's falling asleep while standing gets pretty bad muscle pains and pretty irritable it makes him pretty snappy, which unfortunately, makes him funny asf, but no one can really laugh bc he's sick, that would be rude
charlie dalton
probably ate dirt as a kid so he's immune to all the germs, and doesn't get sick a lot but when he does his throat just... gives up on him. he looses his voice immediately i think since he barely gets sick the poets have no idea, so when one day he just shows up at breakfast dead silent they assume the apocalypse is near. gets really bad headaches. loud noises make his headaches worse. this is pretty ironic and funny to the other poets starts missing classes the second he can and doesn't come back until he's forced to by nolan himself would love being sick if it wasn't for the whole... being sick thing bc ouch... but like the attention is great
knox overstreet
gets sick at very unfortunate times, like just at the beginning of spring or during school breaks and weekends. convinced he's dying every. single. time. "This Is The End, Write Down My Will For Me Please... Please Call My Mommy, I Shall Bid My Farewell To Her..." to be fair he does get a horrible migraine every single time, so the guys are mostly forgiving of all of the bullshit inhales soup and tea with lemon&honey.
gerard pitts
his temperature spikes up by +0.1°C and immediately delirium hits him and it hits him HARD gets really emotional and cries a lot. mostly bc he loves his friends and animals and science hates taking medicine. you gotta hide it in his food bc he will not take it will not shut the fuck up, not even for a second. not even when he's sleeping (pray for meeks he's really going thru it), talks until he looses his voice also muscle pains get him soo bad, like his back and his legs are useless he can barely sit sometimes
steven meeks
barely eats anything. all the food becomes repulsive to him and he has to be coaxed to eat literal toddler portions just so he doesn't starve. throws up a lot deathly pale + flushed cheeks and nose + teary, puffy eyes sleepy. hates it. hates missing classes and complains about it a lot. would over-medicate himself to get to go to class quicker luckily he can be easily distracted (mostly by crossword puzzles and music) charlie will go into his room and play saxophone for him sometimes <3
richard cameron
he technically has a pretty good immune system but he's so irrationally afraid of germs that he walks around in a medical mask during flu season to protect himself still gets sick though it's like a vibe check from god to stop fucking panicking like neil, he refuses to admit that he's sick and goes to class shivering, sweaty, and only half-lucid but he will go to class goddammit, gotta keep that perfect attendance somehow still believes that some painkillers would fix him. he almost overdosed once (or twice) has to be forced to rest and argues about it a lot he's hungry. all the time. could eat a five course meal and still be hungry. get my boy some sustenance, he's dying also gets migraines (he gets those anyways, they get way worse when he's sick though)

How to handle the Outbreak of the Un-Named Virus.
Want to know if you or a friend/loved one has caught the outbreaking virus? Be sure to read up on the process of the infection! If you or anyone close to you is showing any signs, quarantine yourself immediately.
Keep in mind that the virus can be transmitted through the following:
deep bites that have broken through the skin, breathing in the wrong air, sneezing and coughing(germs), physical contact, and/or consuming the flesh of an infected person's corpse.
ALL STAGES OF THE VIRUS ARE CONTAGIOUS.
It is important to quarantine and stay indoors as much as possible during this virus outbreak, if it is necessary to go outside, wear a mask and protective clothing, and bring something with you in case you are found in a situation that requires self defense.
To know whether you or someone else is infected, look out for the following stages....
Tw for: emetophobia, body horror, self harm, death, thoughts of unaliving, implied animal death, and potentially more
Stage 1:
The first stage will seem like the infected has a mild cold or flu. The newly infected will become ill with the following symptoms.
Sneezing
Coughing
Headaches
Fevers and chills
Mild Nausea
Congestion
Sore/itchy throat
Mild body pain
The infected will start showing these symptoms within 15 minutes-3 days, depending on how they caught the virus.
Stage 2:
The stage 1 symptoms become worse, causing the infected person(s) to become violently ill as well as making it very hard to find the energy to move. Stage 2 infected will most likely remain in bed for the majority of the stage. Symptoms include:
Vomiting/heavy nausea
little ability to move (some infected have described the feeling to be like "as if someone was painfully holding them down in place")
loss of appetite
insomnia or oversleeping
throbbing headaches (described as "worse than migraines")
random bruising on the body
Stage 2 can last up to 2-3 weeks before rapidly throwing the infected into the next stage...
Stage 3:
The infected in this stage will suddenly be filled with energy while they are still sick. Their bodies become covered in bruises and small specks of mold begin to form. They have an unpleasant odor. Other symptoms include:
Random fits of happy and sad hysteria
unpleasant mud-like odor that doesn't seem to go away (no matter how much you shower or bathe)
Rapid on and off bursts of energy
Visible and Auditory hallucinations
Bruises and mold spots forming on the body overtime, as if the body is rotting
heavy chest pain
Flesh is beginning to peel and/or "melt" off.
Heightened Paranoia and/or a feeling some described as "A mid life crisis"
Eyes begin to become more "empty" (faded pupils and irises)
It is recommended that in this stage, you say your final goodbyes. Regardless of whether or not you are the infected.
Stage 4:
Stage four is described to be "the most horrifying" out of the five. The infected is no longer energetic and hyper, those feelings are replaced with terror and anger as their pain and suffering get worse. In addition to physical pain and mental torment, the infected is also battling against themselves, trying to stay awake as they fall in and out of consciousness. Symptoms:
More vivid visual and auditory hallucinations that the infected will try to physically or verbally fight.
Harming oneself out of fear and/or frustration (or trying to cause themselves pain to stay conscious)
Seemingly going in and out of "reality", On and off consciousness.
body is slowly beginning to mutate or change (painfully)
bleeding from the eyes, nose and/or ears.
Hair loss or hair growth
Heavy feelings and thoughts about taking ones life to end the suffering or to "stop" the infection from taking them or infecting others around them.
It is important to remember that in this stage, the infected will begin to bite people when they aren't conscious of their selves. If one wishes to kill an infected, it is best to do it in this stage, or allow the infected to end their own life, due to the last stage making the infected harder to kill....
Stage 5 (Final Stage):
Infected has reached the final stage of the virus. They no longer have any consciousness, and have "lost themselves". They are mindless and vicious and see everyone as either an enemy or prey. They actively try to bite and kill anyone who appears to be too close. Their bodies are constantly mutating into inhuman shapes. The process is bloody, the pain is agonizing, and none of it will end until the virus finally kills them from the inside out.
When an infected finally dies, the body will stop moving and begin to decompose rapidly, leaving acid and body parts as the only indication of their existence. However, Only 70% of infected seem to die....
Tips for the virus, quarantining, dealing with infected, and more:
always wear a mask around other people, even if you're inside your home (There is an exception if you live on your own)
If someone in your home is infected and being quarantined, it is advised to say your final goodbyes to them and avoid them at all costs, since as of right now, no cure exists, and the virus is fatal.
if an infected person asks to stay with you or enter your home, do NOT let them in. Even if they are only at the beginning of stage 1. Your safety is more important.
Keep your doors and windows locked at all times, keep the blinds and curtains closed.
If you are in a heavy populated area, try to evacuate and find shelter somewhere more secluded. if you are unable too, consider setting up more traps and security measures.
it is better to starve to death than to eat the flesh of the infected.
For more information and tips, visit our website or text/call our number.
Do not try to kill an infected unless it is out of self-defense.
Animals can also get infected. Their process is much faster and is similar to sickness and rabies. The virus has a 85% chance of killing a fully infected animal.
The government will be required and made to send out food and supplies to everyone once a week. Stay safe. Stay inside.
May all of this end and let us return to our everyday lives.

Papa with a sick SO (Headcanons)
Primo:
At the first sign of you being sick, he is already mixing his special tea blends and shoving cups of medicinal smelling brew in your hands.
He absolutely does not care if you think it’s “just a cold”, he takes these things very seriously. When it’s you. When it’s him, he’ll manage. The rules are different for him. Because he knows best.
Until you are feeling 100%, he WILL fuss over you. Yes, he does know he gets annoyed when you fuss over him. This is different.
Of course you’re not to worry about your duties. He has already informed Seestor that you are sick and absolutely must stay in bed.
It’s all a bit much, but really, it’s very sweet to have him so set on taking care of you. Besides, it’s better for you both if you get rest and he doesn’t have to worry so much.
And no one is going to complain about getting sick day snuggles on the couch and terrible day time tv.
Secondo:
For a man who so flatly refuses to accept or admit that he’s sick until he’s practically on deaths door, his standards for you are MUCH lower. (Listen, he knows the standards he holds himself to are actually impossible. But Amore is precious in every way and they get far more leeway that anyone else.)
He’s not as quick to pick up on you getting sick as his older brother might be. But once he hears you coughing or that gravelly sick voice or the stuffy nose, he is very concerned.
Don’t bother arguing that you don’t need to go to the infirmary or to be seen by the Ministry doctor. You can walk there beside him or be carried there like a grumpy toddler. The choice is yours.
He has an alarm set so you don’t miss your antibiotics and he made sure to get some yogurt in case the pills upset your stomach.
It’s one of the few times he’ll cancel his office hours. Someone needs to be there making sure you’re taken care of. And, if he absolutely can’t avoid work, he will find a couple of ghouls to do it.
I hope you like pastina, because that is his solution to all illnesses.
You have never really been cuddled until you’ve been cuddled by a very protective, large Italian man who is determined to keep you comfortable and safe, no matter what.
Terzo:
The one upside to Terzo being the most dramatic human in the history of the universe when he’s sick is that he does not question even the most poutiest of sick pouts from you.
Of course he understands how miserable you are. How could anyone not see the suffering you are going through?
The sheer number of pillows and blankets he acquires for you borders on the absurd.
He’ll also run you a hot bath because he heard somewhere that steam is good for you. And even if that isn’t true, he reasons it can’t hurt.
Whatever comfort food you want, he will get it for you.
The sweetness of it all is, admittedly, undercut somewhat by the makeshift hazmat suit he’s wearing, the oven mitts and tongs to keep him from touching any germs, and the Lysol spray he attacks every surface you get near as soon as you step away.
He loves you very much, he just also loves not catching whatever the hell you have.
And he DID agree that the gas mask for cuddles was a bit much.
Copia:
He’s also not super great at picking up on things right away. But any obvious signs you’re sick or you say the words “I don’t feel good” and he is right there.
Of course you need to see the doctor. Don’t be silly. You know he worries. You don’t want him to worry all day, do you?
How can you refuse when he makes the sad puppy eyes?
Once that’s out of the way, prepare to be snuggled within an inch of your life.
And to be told, repeatedly, that you need rest. He will get whatever you need.
You’re going to need to be a little firm about not requiring him carrying you to the toilet, it’s just a touch of the flu. You can manage the 15 steps to the bathroom.
You do however get the sick day unicorn onesies. Those are a must. And he will dance around in his like the absolute goober he is just to make you smile.
Pastina, pastina, pastina.
At the end of the day, though, he will absolutely sit and cuddle you and comb his fingers through your hair and make sure that you’re as comfortable and loved as it’s possible to be.
Nihil:
Oh, you’re sick?
That sounds real rough. For you.
You should go deal with that. Somewhere else.
Away from him.
Please disinfect everything you’ve touched on your way out.
If he doesn’t hear from you in a few days, he’ll send a condolence card.
Well, someone will.
Not him, obviously.
He’s busy.

Basic Hygiene Rules at Public Events (for grifters and ex-royals)
Hi Skippy & Friends-Pilgrim checking in, quite astonished and even alarmed observing the constant hugging by the two twits putting on the ritz in front of hundreds of people from all over, many with medical problems. Our dear Puke and Pukess of Suckeths need a refresher course in both physical cleanliness and proper public behavior especially when the flu season is back in action including a new variant of Covid on the rise.
First, I am not a medically trained person but we have all been on a serious learning curve for the past few years about how to not get sick. When we followed those rules to the letter humans were far better off. We kept a polite distance from strangers or those worried about being infected with a cold germ or worse. We wore masks, especially if we were the sick ones so we didn’t give it to everyone we walked by. We used sanitary hand cleansers after shopping, getting gas, touching doors, etc etc etc…Now that we are going back to schools and workplaces guess what? Colds, flu, childhood diseases and bodily bugs are all back. With our nation’s borders totally wide open and very ill people arriving daily, old infectious diseases our society was protected from are being discovered.
What made me crazy was watching JH and the ILBW march up to anyone, move in with arms raised insisting on a big personal hug! I would have freaked out like lots of kids did. Adults acted like deer caught in headlights. How many germs did they spread around for days? As I said earlier, some of these athletes might still be very fragile having gone through difficult medical procedures. The staged group shots for their filming crew, with people sitting shoulder to shoulder, making believe they were in jammed stadium seating, cued to sing, wave flags, cheer on their favorite major league teams was just nuts! Wide angle shots showed they were surrounded by rows and rows of empty seats! “Say, lets breathe down each others throats for the next half hour so we can make a film and get paid tons of money. Oh and you guys…well you get to tell people you were hugged by us and we made believe you were our best friends!” Ha. When back home are those selfies going to be worth it while dealing with the “minor aches and pains of the flu”? Will they reealllly impress your friends or be valuable on eBay?
Here is the first aid list for them to start following: Wash all wigs & extensions whether real hair or synthetic every 6-8 wears so pungent smells, molds and bugs are kept at bay. Don’t fling you hair around in people’s faces. Keep your hands away from your sweaty, germ covered hair especially when around food. Keep your hands away from your mouth and nose. Cover your crotch and feet in public places. Whoever decided that the Suckeths needed to hug absolutely everyone they were introduced to, put a medal on or walked by in the street was sorely perverse. It is impolite, not royal, not decent, not sincere and downright dangerous. Not to mention just plain cringe worthy!
Over and out from a normal Cape Cod. PS the laughs have been great!!!
Greg Post dear Pilgrim!  Ewwww, last paragraph…the best…😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

OCD and hand washing
Since cold and flu (and covid) season is approaching, I thought I'd make a post about obsessive hand washing because it's something I've been struggling with for years. So here are some thing you can do to protect your hands and maybe lower the amount of compulsions surrounding cleaning/washing if you can.
If your hands are not currently split open or raw, buy or use some cream that's thick and fit for dry, sensitive skin. My favorite is Cetaphil's Moisturizing Cream for very dry to dry, sensitive skin. However, it's a bit expensive, so I've been using Equate Therapeutic Dry Skin Cream. (From my experience the creams are thicker and make my hands feel better, but they come in jars, so if you have a fear or compulsion about not wanting to put your hands in your products, they have tubes and bottles out there)
If your hands are split open or raw, please don't use lotion or cream on them! Trust me, it'll burn. A few years ago, I looked up remedies, and I found that olive oil doesn't burn and does the trick! So when my hands were split, for the first day or two, I'd put olive oil on a few times a day, and then after they healed a little bit, I'd move to a lotion and vaseline combo. Although, olive oil has gotten a bit more expensive where I live, so if you live somewhere where it's the same, coconut oil can work as well.
I totally forgot to add- if you wash your hands with very hot water and dish soap: please do not do this anymore! it's drying out your hands so much faster. dish soap is not meant for hands, it's very rough. also, water so hot to the point it's steaming is only detrimental to your skin. you'll kill the germs by using regular hand soap and cold water. :)
Tips on not to wash as much:
I get it, you feel like you need to wash your hands. Especially now as everyone's getting sick, it can be pretty scary if you have ocd. I've been there too, and am currently struggling with it. You're not alone.
Ask yourself if it's *absolutely necessary*. If you just came in from work/school/the store, then yes of course, go wash your hands. But if you touched something like the remote (that maybe the people you live with touched), it's not going to kill you to not wash your hands. This is coming from someone who couldn't touch the remote or any doorknob (in my own home!) a few months ago, but can do so now without washing her hands. Yes, it's extremely difficult, and will likely invoke fear and other unpleasant emotions and feelings, but if you can, maybe just try one thing at a time. For example, maybe try not washing your hands after touching the refrigerator door (if that's not an issue, pick something that's relevant to you). If you can't- that's okay, this is a hard thing to do!
Wear gloves if you can. Yes, this may be reinforcing your compulsions, but if you still really struggle with washing your hands over and over and over, gloves could be able to help you. You can get a pair of regular gloves, or you can buy disposable ones if you're dealing with something you may not want to get on cloth gloves.
Distract yourself. If you're doing something where an obsession and a compulsion usually come into play, try a distraction. You could turn the tv on, put on a YouTube video, listen to music, or talk to someone.
Try to rationalize your way out of it. If you have OCD or struggle with similar symptoms, you know that most obsessions and compulsions don't make any sense. So if your brain is telling you to clean something or wash your hands, logic your way out of it. If it's telling you that you'll get hurt if you don't clean all the doorknobs, ask it why? Any germ that may be on there is not likely to kill you. Unless you don't have your covid vaccines, or have a compromised immune system, there's most likely nothing to worry about.
If you live in a place where masks aren't mandatory, wearing one may ease your concerns. You don't have to if it's not required, but I've been wearing one the whole time, and I don't worry anywhere near as much when I go out because I feel protected.
If you need/want to reach out, please do! I'm here for you all, and I wish you nothing but the best ❤️

wait people aren't wearing masks in public anymore and are still complaining about it to this day? they may be vaccinated but please think of the immunocompromised and those who cannot get a vaccine because of certain health reasons.
let's just normalize wearing masks permanently in public. as someone who hates my own face i see this as an absolute win lmao
literally the primary reason to mask is to protect others around you from your germs! if you’re sick you should be wearing a mask no matter what, even if covid somehow magically disappears. that’s how it works when a large portion of us live in densely populated areas full of germs. iirc some strains of the flu have been eradicated because of people wearing masks. plus if you don’t have a genuine medical exemption to wearing a mask and youre complaining that it’s itchy or fogs up your glasses or whatever then you just need to learn to deal with it. protecting other people, especially immunocompromised and anyone who can’t get the vaccine or mask for whatever reason, from your nasty sick germs and/or covid is more important that your sore ears. sorry 🤷‍♂️

Benefits of wearing a mask that have nothing to do with Covid
Lowers risk of getting the flu, which is a completely different disease.
Protects face against sunburn in an area I hate putting sunscreen on.
Keeps face warm when it's cold outside.
I find it easier to hold in a sneeze while wearing a mask, because if I sneeze with a mask on then my sneeze germs will get all over my mask and all over my face, which my brain believes are far more dire consequences than spreading my sneeze germs all over the room and on other people.

There's a pretty bad bug going around that's not COVID or the flu.
And the number of snotty nosed grimey ass kids running around with this nasty ass cough, not covering their mouths, touching things when they cough (getting their slimey ass mouth germs all over the things because kids hold shit right in front of their snotty ass faces when they hold it).
And I can't blame the kids (though I do still think they're gross and slimey as hell). This goddamn school system that penalizes kids for taking too many sick days and gives kids extra credit for not taking sick days is not only normalizing taking your kids out in public when they're slimey and gross (if they're good enough to go to school, they're good enough to go to the store). But it's spreading this gross as upper respiratory infection around and kids are dying from it.
Dude. I went outside (without a mask) for a few hours on Saturday (unmasked because it was just me bird watching at a nature reserve). But I went in for 5 minutes (I didn't know that this nature reserve had an inside but I made sure to stay away from everyone).
And this slimey ass kid was coughing everywhere. And guess who had to miss work yesterday because they were sick? (Honestly, I do kinda deserve it for not wearing a mask inside).
My only solace is that when I went to an event on Monday, I was wearing a mask. So when I left early because I wasn't feeling good and noticed that I had a low fever, I knew that I did what I could to protect the others around me.

Jess Watches // Thu 14 Dec // Day 83 Synopses & Favourite Scenes & Poll
The Resident (with mum) 2x12 Fear Finds a Way
When a nasty flu season turns out to be masking a terribly infectious disease, Chastain must race to quarantine and diagnose infected patients.
This ep was filmed in late 2018. A full year before everyone started getting severely ill and many dying from what we soon learned was covid. They were visually very clear using the green glittery effect to show how quickly germs can spread. And how much we are each responsible for protecting ourselves and each other. So please, wear a mask, especially during flu season.
Eureka (rewatching) 2x03 Unpredictable
A surprise visitor disrupts Jack and Zoe's lives; strange weather must be tracked to its source before it becomes an "ice funnel of death."
When they weren't sure if what Jo had picked up was a frozen big toe, did they think it could've been the tip of his dick, or did I miss something?? Also, Allison was definitely a little jealous of Carter's ex wife. If only she'd notice he only has heart eyes for her.
What We Do in the Shadows 5x05 Local News
Coverage of a local water main break brings unwanted attention to the vampires.
The reporter calling him Nandor DeLaurentis had me cackling. But even with a few gold one-liners and visual gags, the episode was a bit too chaotic for me at times. I was more enjoying Guillermo's dynamic with his family. Also, wtf was their tv? Is it a newer style of curved one??
The Dragon Prince 5x05 Archmage Akiyu
Ezran convinces the group to look for an eccentric ocean mage with critical information. Karim calls in a debt. Claudia tries to communicate with Viren.
It was so sweet of Soren, who is most definitely a dragon doctor, to try and look after Zubeia. Hydration and rest are indeed very important. And Terry winning all the Best Boyfriend awards at distracting Claudia from worrying by encouraging her to have fun and shake her butt. I also loved the character design of Akiyu aka Tidebound Tina.

It can help reduce the risk of complications during delivery and ensure that the baby is born healthy. Exercise can also help pregnant women manage their weight gain and keep their energy levels up. However, it is important to remember that pregnant women should always consult their doctor before starting any exercise program. It is recommended that pregnant women get at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity each day, such as walking, swimming or cycling. Low-impact exercises are best for pregnant women because they don’t put too much strain on the body. Pregnant women should also avoid exercises that involve jumping or bouncing, as well as activities that put them at risk of falling or getting hit in the abdomen. When exercising during pregnancy, it’s important to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks if needed. It’s also recommended that pregnant women wear comfortable clothing and shoes designed for physical activity. Additionally, pregnant women should pay attention to their body’s signals and stop exercising if they feel dizzy, lightheaded or experience any pain or discomfort. Overall, exercising during pregnancy can be beneficial for both mother and baby. However, it’s important to remember to always consult a doctor before starting any exercise program and to pay attention to one's body while exercising. Protecting Individuals With a Compromised Immune System It is important for those with a compromised immune system to take extra precautions to protect themselves from illness and disease. This includes avoiding contact with people who are ill, washing hands often, and avoiding touching the face. It is also important to practice social distancing, which means avoiding close contact and large gatherings. It is also important to wear a face mask when out in public as it can help reduce the risk of spreading germs. Additionally, people should keep their living environment clean and sanitary by regularly wiping down surfaces with disinfectant wipes or sprays. When taking medication, it is important to make sure that they are taken at the correct time and dosage as prescribed by their doctor. It is also essential to get enough rest, stay hydrated, eat healthily, and manage stress levels in order to maintain a strong immune system. People with a compromised immune system should also consider getting vaccinated for seasonal illnesses such as the flu or pneumonia if they are available in their area. Finally, it is important for individuals with a compromised immune system to be aware of any potential triggers that could lead to an infection. These might include environmental triggers such as pollen or dust mites or medical triggers such as undergoing certain treatments or surgeries. By being aware of these potential risks and taking steps to reduce them where possible, individuals can help protect themselves and keep their immune systems healthy. Helping Individuals With Gastrointestinal Issues
Gastrointestinal issues can be a difficult and uncomfortable condition to live with, however there are steps you can take to help manage your symptoms. There are a variety of treatments available that can help reduce the severity of your symptoms, as well as lifestyle changes that you can make to ease discomfort. Eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and getting enough rest are all important components in helping individuals with gastrointestinal issues. A healthy diet should include plenty of fruits and vegetables, as well as lean proteins such as fish or lean cuts of meat. Foods that are high in fiber like whole grains, legumes, and nuts can also help to alleviate gastrointestinal issues. Additionally, limiting processed foods and sugary snacks is recommended for those with GI issues. Regular exercise is also beneficial for individuals suffering from gastrointestinal issues. Exercise helps to reduce stress levels which can aggravate symptoms. Additionally, regular physical activity helps stimulate the gut muscles which can aid digestion. A combination of aerobic exercise such as walking or running combined with strength training will help you get the most out of your workout routine. Getting enough rest is also essential for those who suffer from gastrointestinal issues. Not getting enough sleep can cause stress and aggravate symptoms so it’s important to ensure you get adequate rest each night. Aim for 8-9 hours of sleep each night in order to feel refreshed and energized during the day. In addition to lifestyle changes, there are a variety of treatments available for individuals suffering from GI issues including medications, dietary supplements, probiotics, acupuncture and biofeedback therapy. Consulting with your doctor or healthcare provider will help you determine which treatment option would be best for you based on the cause and severity of your symptoms. Precautions for Individuals Taking Antibiotics Taking antibiotics is an important part of many medical treatments. However, it is important to be aware of the potential side effects and take precautions when taking antibiotics. The most common side effects of antibiotics are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and yeast infections. It is important to follow the instructions given by your doctor or pharmacist when taking antibiotics to avoid these side effects. Additionally, it is important to make sure that you finish your prescription in order to ensure that the infection is fully treated. It is also important to be aware of food and drink interactions with antibiotics. Some foods and beverages can interfere with the effectiveness of the medication or cause additional side effects. Common foods and drinks that should be avoided while taking antibiotics include alcohol, dairy products, calcium supplements, iron supplements, antacids, and grapefruit juice. In addition to avoiding certain foods and drinks while taking antibiotics, it is also important to practice good hygiene habits while taking the medication. This includes washing your hands frequently with soap and water or using hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available. Additionally, it is important to avoid sharing towels or other personal items while on antibiotics as this could spread bacteria or put you at risk for infection. Finally, it is important to talk with your doctor about any potential drug interactions when taking other medications or supplements while on antibiotics. Certain medications or supplements may interfere with the effectiveness of the antibiotic or cause additional side effects so it is best to check with a healthcare professional before starting any new medication or supplement regimen while on antibiotics. Taking these precautions will help ensure that you get the most out of your antibiotic treatment and avoid any unnecessary risks associated with taking them incorrectly. Dealing With Yeast Allergies People with yeast allergies must be vigilant in avoiding foods that contain yeast.
This can be a difficult task as yeast is a common ingredient in many foods. Breads, beer, and wine are the most obvious products that contain yeast, but it is also found in candy, processed meats, sauces, and vinegar. For people with yeast allergies, it is important to read food labels carefully and avoid anything that contains yeast or anything that is fermented. The symptoms of a yeast allergy can range from mild to severe and may include rashes, hives, itching, swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, nausea and vomiting. If these symptoms occur after eating a food containing yeast or drinking alcohol, an allergy may be present. An allergist can test for a reaction to specific yeasts by using skin tests or blood tests. For those who have been diagnosed with a yeast allergy, it is important to take certain precautions when selecting food. It is best to avoid processed foods and instead choose fresh fruits and vegetables as well as lean proteins such as fish or chicken. Whole grain breads are usually safe for those with a yeast allergy since they are made without added yeasts. People with an allergy should also avoid beer and wine unless they have been specifically tested for an allergic reaction to those particular beverages. For individuals who have more severe reactions to certain yeasts, there are some over-the-counter medications available that can help reduce the severity of symptoms. If these medications do not provide relief from symptoms then it is important to consult an allergist for further testing and treatment options. In some cases immunotherapy may be recommended in order to help the body build up a tolerance to specific types of yeasts. With careful attention to food labels and avoidance of products containing yeasts or other fermenting agents people with allergies can live comfortably without having to worry about uncomfortable allergic reactions. By working closely with their allergist they can develop a treatment plan tailored specifically for them so they can enjoy life without fear of experiencing allergic reactions due to the presence of certain types of yeasts in their diet. Encouraging Physical Activity in Older Adults Older adults need to remain physically active to maintain their overall health and well-being. Exercise can help them stay independent longer, reduce the risk of falls, build muscle strength, and improve balance. However, physical activity among older adults can be challenging due to age-related changes in the body, such as decreased flexibility and endurance. The good news is that there are ways to encourage physical activity in older adults. One way is to create an environment that encourages physical activity. Make sure the space is well lit and free of any obstacles or hazards that could increase the risk of falling. Provide equipment and furniture that are designed for seniors, such as exercise balls or chairs with armrests for balance. Encourage social activities that involve movement, such as group walks or tai chi classes. It's also important to find activities that are enjoyable and engaging for older adults. Consider their interests when creating an exercise program. For example, if they enjoy dancing, try a dance class or ballroom dancing lessons. If they like being outdoors, suggest taking walks in the park or doing gardening activities. Finally, provide resources and support for older adults who want to become more physically active. Offer information about local fitness centers or classes designed specifically for seniors. Connect them with a personal trainer or coach who can help them create a safe and effective exercise program tailored to their individual needs and abilities. With the right guidance and support, older adults can become more physically active and enjoy better health and quality of life. Liver Disease and Diet The diet of a person with liver disease should be tailored to their individual nutritional needs, as the condition can affect digestion and absorption of nutrients.
A healthy diet should include plenty of fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, and healthy fats. It should also be low in saturated fat, sodium, cholesterol, and sugar. Additionally, people with liver disease should avoid foods that are high in toxins such as alcohol and processed meats. People with liver disease may also need to limit their intake of certain vitamins and minerals. For example, those with severe cirrhosis may need to limit vitamin A intake due to its potential toxicity in the liver. People with hepatitis may need to limit their intake of iron due to the risk of inflammation in the liver. Additionally, those with fatty liver disease may need to reduce their intake of carbohydrates in order to reduce fat accumulation in the liver. Finally, people with liver disease should also pay attention to their fluid intake as dehydration can worsen symptoms such as fatigue and confusion. Drinking plenty of water is important for maintaining hydration levels but it is also important to avoid caffeine as it can increase dehydration levels. Additionally, people with advanced stages of cirrhosis or other serious conditions may need to be monitored for fluid overload or electrolyte imbalances which can occur due to excessive drinking or consuming too much salt. Conclusion Kombucha is a great drink for those looking to increase their consumption of probiotics and antioxidants. However, it is important to note that kombucha should not be drunk by everyone. Those with weakened immune systems, those who are pregnant, and those taking certain medications should avoid drinking it altogether. Additionally, people with diabetes should speak to their doctor before consuming kombucha as it may contain sugar. Kombucha should be consumed in moderation by those who can drink it safely and enjoy its health benefits. It is important to note that kombucha can contain alcohol or caffeine, so those sensitive to these ingredients should pay attention to the labels before drinking. The best way to consume kombucha is to buy it from reputable sources and follow the instructions on the label carefully. In conclusion, kombucha is a popular drink with many potential health benefits, but there are certain groups of people who should not drink it. People with weakened immune systems, pregnant women, people taking certain medications, and those with diabetes should avoid consuming kombucha altogether. Others must take special care when choosing and consuming this beverage in order to take full advantage of its potential health benefits while minimizing any potential risks.

After three years of covering covid, I built my own air filter
After three years of covering covid, I built my own air filter
Covid is not going away for the foreseeable future. Vaccination, rapid tests and appropriate masking are important ways to protect against getting sick and spreading the virus.Get more news about home air filter, you can vist our website!
So is better indoor air quality.
As we enter Year 4 of this pandemic, with new variants popping up, I want to be able to gather more often — and safely — with family and friends. I want to host regular dinners featuring sour cherry pie, like the one I made for fellow health reporters after we had been working remotely — pretty much around-the-clock — for more than a year.
And I want to feel safe at work, where, like most reporters, I don’t have my own office. I can’t just close the door to keep out colleagues’ germs. Or open windows for fresh air.
So, as someone who likes to seize control of seemingly uncontrollable situations, I resolved to build my own DIY portable air cleaner.Generating cleaner indoor air at home and at work reduces everybody’s risk of being sickened by airborne pathogens such those that cause covid-19 and the flu.
While I’m pretty good at following recipes, I don’t have a lot of confidence in my ability to build stuff from scratch. Not even with Legos when my son was little. Forget about Ikea furniture.
But I decided to give this Corsi-Rosenthal Box a try because we would be gathering with lots of loved ones heading into the new year. The Corsi-Rosenthal Box is named for its two inventors, who were looking for a cost-effective way to build something that performs the same functions as costlier air-purification devices. They came up with the idea in August 2020, five months into the coronavirus pandemic.
Richard Corsi, the dean of the College of Engineering at the University of California at Davis, and Jim Rosenthal, the chief executive of Tex-Air Filters, teamed up to create the easy-to-assemble, inexpensive air cleaner using materials found at hardware stores or online. The box uses four common household air filters for the sides — the kind you use for a home HVAC system — a 20-inch fan on top, cardboard, scissors, and duct tape to hold it all together.
When the fan is turned on, air is pulled through the four sides of the box. The filters trap contaminated particles, allowing clean air to flow into the middle of the box and be pushed back out into the environment through the fan. The fan just needs to be plugged into a normal electrical outlet. Not only can the boxes reduce the spread of pathogens such as the coronavirus, they also can reduce other particles, such as those generated by wildfires, as well as dust and pollen.
The box removes all kinds of other pollutants, like “allergens, tiny particles created by chemical reactions to ozone or cleaning chemicals,” said Don Milton, an environmental and occupational health professor at the University of Maryland’s School of Public Health, who came up with the name for the box.

Best ways to prevent germs in air
Air microorganisms are microscopic living organisms that can be found in the air we breathe. While many of these microorganisms are harmless, some can cause illnesses, including respiratory infections, colds, and flu. Preventing the spread of airborne germs is essential to maintaining good health.
What Causes Germs in Air?
Airborne germs can come from a variety of sources, including coughing, sneezing, and talking. When an infected person coughs or sneezes, they release tiny droplets into the air that can contain harmful germs. These droplets can remain suspended in the air for hours and can be inhaled by others, leading to the spread of illness.
Best 5 Ways to Control Air Microorganisms:
Wear a Mask: One of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of airborne germs is to wear a mask. Masks can filter out airborne particles, reducing the amount of germs that are able to enter your respiratory system. This is especially important during times of heightened illness, such as during a pandemic.
Practice Good Hygiene: Regularly washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds can significantly reduce the amount of germs on your skin. Additionally, avoiding touching your face and nose can also prevent the spread of germs.
Keep Indoor Spaces Well-Ventilated: Proper ventilation helps to circulate fresh air throughout a space, reducing the concentration of airborne germs. This is especially important in public spaces such as schools and office buildings, where many people congregate in a relatively small area.
Use Air Purifiers: Air purifiers are devices that can remove airborne particles from the air. They can be especially helpful for people with allergies or asthma, as they can remove allergens and other harmful particles from the air.
Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle: Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can also help to strengthen your immune system and make you less susceptible to airborne germs. This includes eating a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, and exercising regularly.
In conclusion, preventing the spread of airborne germs is essential to maintaining good health. By wearing a mask, practicing good hygiene, keeping indoor spaces well-ventilated, using air purifiers, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, you can significantly reduce your risk of illness. Remember, taking these preventative measures not only protects yourself, but also those around you, so it is important to take them seriously. Stay safe and healthy!
