Lucas softly closes his laptop before start massaging his nostril, "Well, this doesn't look good," he softly says to himself before turn over to look at her, "Two thousand and eleven, how should I manage that?" he asks to himself.
Lucas sadly smiles at her before getting up from the chair and walk to his bed. He slowly put his knee on his mattress, and by instinct, Maya moves to the wall to give him space to lay next to her.
But his rest was postponed by his phone.
"Just a second," Lucas says and places a soft kiss on Maya's cheek before getting up again.
He grabs his phone from his desktop and walks out of his room, "Hey Pappy Joe, how's everything in Texas?" he asks.
"Everything good kid, just wondering when you will come to visit since next year would be your last before you come back to study to be a vet," Pappy Joe says, making Lucas bite his tongue to not reply.
Lucas takes a second before open his mouth, "Yeah, that would be good, for us to talk about college," he says.
"Is something wrong?" Pappy Joe asks.
Lucas felt his adrenaline grow, "No, no, everything is fine," he fastly replies.
"Good, then I wait for you and Miss Maya, we miss her too," Pappy Joe says.
Lucas chuckles while taking a quick look at Maya, "Yeah, bet she misses you too," he replies, "Ok, now if you excuse me, I need to sleep, call you tomorrow?" he asks.
"Call whenever you want, I'm your grandpa after all," Pappy joe replies with a happy tone, making Lucas smile.
"Ok, talk to you tomorrow, good night Pappy Joe," Lucas says.
"Good night boy," Pappy joe replies before Lucas finished the call.
Lucas stays up for a few minutes, looking at Maya, "Well, this is a problem for future Lucas," he says before going back to bed, "Hey, move," he whispers to Maya, who just kick his leg, throwing him off the bed, "Cool, I'm gonna sleep in the sofa," he says before feeling Maya wake up and drag him into bed, "Aww, you love me," he says with a smile.
"Of course I do, now shut up, and let's go back to sleep," Maya replies, closing her eyes again.
"God, you're perfect," Lucas says, hugging her back and throwing a blanket over themselves.
.
Maya slowly wakes up the next morning, and a soft smile shows up on her face when she realizes where Lucas's hands were. She gently caresses Lucas's hands around her belly and carefully moves them away to get out of the bed.
She slowly gets up from his bed and covers him back with a blanket before kissing his hair, "Stupid cowboy," she says with a smile before walking outside his room, wearing a pair of shorts and one of his baseball jerseys.
In the kitchen, Mary Friar hears his son's door open and carefully close, "Lukey?" she calls her son.
"Different shade of blonde," Maya replies.
"Oh my God, I haven't seen that jersey in years," she comments before looking at her kitchen, "Breakfast?" she asks.
"I would gladly take some coffee," Maya replies.
"No, no, no, you're still growing, you need to eat better, let me make you some breakfast," Mary replies.
"Please, Mrs. Friar, I'm ok with just coffee," Maya insists.
"Please, at least let me cook you some pancakes," Mary presses.
"Ok, but let me help at least," Maya replies, giving up.
.
Lucas slowly opens his eyes and his smile disappears when he notices that Maya wasn't there. He rolls along his bed, and finally presses his face against the pillow Maya used last night, "Fuck, I'm whipped so hard," he says before getting up.
He walks into his house kitchen and saw his mom talking with Maya, "Why do I have the feeling that this chat is not in my benefit?" he asks.
"Morning Sleppy McBoingboing," Maya says.
Lucas chuckles, "That's hilarious coming from you," he says before walking to her and press his lips against hers.
Maya fastly hits his chest, "You do remember your mother is here, right?" Maya asks him.
"Give me a break, I was a secret boyfriend for way too long to not enjoy this," he says before kissing her again and steal a piece of pancake from her place.
"For real?" she asks, punching his arm.
"Yeah," Lucas replies with a confident smile, "Before I forget, Pappy Joe invited us to Texas before we go back to classes," he adds while pouring some coffee on a mug.
"Oh, so he already called you, good to know," Mary says before getting up and fastly wash her mug, "Well, Maya dear, always a pleasure to chat with you, but I need to get going," she says while Lucas looks at her mother walk out the kitchen.
"Should I wait for you for dinner?" he asks.
"Sorry Lukey, I have a 24 today," she answers from the living room.
"Breakfast it is," Lucas answers.
"Same as your father, which is one of the reasons I marry him," Mary replies before walking back to the kitchen and kiss Lucas on the forehead, "I raised you to be husband material from day one," she comments, making Maya laugh, "Ok, now I really have to go, I left Chilli on the fridge, enough for four people," she adds before giving Maya a kiss on the forehead too, "bye, bye, have a good day you two," she adds before jogging to the door, leaving Lucas and Maya alone in the kitchen.
"So, what you say? Want to come with me to Texas?" Lucas asks.
"Really doubt Shawn is gonna let me go anywhere out of state with you," Maya comments.
"Don't worry, Zay is gonna be there, and I know for a fact that he wouldn't mind if I invite Isadora and Sarah," Lucas replies.
"Yeah, Shawn doesn't have a problem with them," Maya replies, "They are not the ones getting in my pants," she adds.
Lucas smile and takes a sip of his coffee, "Yeah, can't argue against that," he replies before sitting in front of Maya, "But be sure that not only I want you there, my whole family loves you more than me, so, they would be happy to see you," he adds.
"Again, Shawn doesn't have a problem with them," Maya says.
"Well, we would find a way," Lucas says before putting a soft kiss on her lips.
Maya passes her arms around his neck and kisses him back, "So, we're alone," she comments.
"I remember someone saying that Shawn has a problem with me, could be this the reason why he has a problem with me?" Lucas teases her.
"I'm not gonna force you," Maya replies with a smirk on her face.
"Yeah, like you had to force me to do this," Lucas replies kissing her deeply before lifting her up and taking her to his room.
.
"Ok, before you ask, yes you can go," Shawn says once he notices Maya on his home office door.
"What?" Maya asks.
"I got a call from Mary at lunch, and she explained everything to me," Shawn explains.
"Ok?" Maya replies confused, "This was easier than expected," she adds.
"Maybe for you," Shawn replies, before messing with Maya's hair, "Just be warned, if that boy has finny ideas and he comes back from Texas, I'll make sure he regrets it," he adds, making the line on the sand for Maya.
"You know, I should be mad that you want to hurt my boyfriend, but I like that you're that protective over me," Maya says hugging him.
Shawn just chuckles, "What you expect, I'm, legally, your Dad now," he comments, "Which makes you and your Mom, my number one priority," he adds.
Maya fastly gets away from him, "Not Cool," she says while cleaning a few tears, "Don't give me feelings, ass dad," she adds.
"Yeah, sorry, not gonna stop," Shawn teases her with a huge smile on his face, "I can't wait for you to be age-appropriate for kids and they call me Pappy Shawn," he keeps teasing her.
Maya gives Shawn a smirk, "They probably gonna call Lucas's Dad Pappy," she says.
Shawn's jaw drops, before he let out a chuckle, "Get out of here before I change my mind about that trip," he warns her.
"Whatever you say, Grampy Shawn," she teases him before walking out of his home office.

Lucas softly kisses Maya's hand while she was looking outside her window on the train to Texas, "You know, I'm still surprised that Shawn let you come," he says, commenting on his future father-in-law's opinion about him going to Texas with his daughter.
"Yeah, thank Pappy Joe for that," Maya says with a smirk on her face, "Shawn called him, and he assures him that if you try something inappropriate, he has a shotgun," she adds, making Lucas's face go pale.
"Well, guess like father, like son," he comments, making Maya show unexpected interest in his words.
"Do you have a story?" she asks him.
"I guess I never told you about why my Dad never comes when we stay with Pappy Joe, right?" he asks. Maya denies with her head, making him chuckle, "Well, one day, when my parents were around our age, Pappy Joe find my Mom in a very compromising situation with my Dad," he explains.
"Under or Over?" Maya asks.
"Over," Lucas replies, "I also would like to point, that my father was the victim here," he adds, making her chuckle.
"Way to go, Mrs. Friar," Maya jokes.
"Yeah," Lucas says with worry on his face, "Pappy Joe warn him that the next time he sees him, he would shoot him, probably with the same shotgun he mentions to Shawn," he continues, "So, next week, my Dad drives my Mom back from school, Pappy Joe sees him with my mom, and proceed to shoot his car," he adds, making Maya choke on her juice.
"Oh boy, you're screwed," Maya says, holding her laughter.
"Come on, I love you, and you're really hot, but I can restrain myself. I'm not an animal," Lucas says, confident.
"Yeah, remember when we went to the Mall? Yeah, those forty minutes you spend with Zay playing house of the dead on the arcades, I spend them on Victoria Secret, with two hundred bucks my Mom gracefully gave me," she explains.
Lucas looks at her with his mouth wide open, "Not Cool!" he groans in disdain. He makes a tiny pause in his disdain to look at his girlfriend, "Well, we're still not in Texas," he says, implying something not PG-13 at all.
"My God, in what did I turn you?" Maya teases him before getting up and grab his hand, pulling him up.
Lucas grins at her, "On," he replies, making Maya flirty hit his chest, "Now, let's give that bathroom a better use," he says, looking directly at her eyes.
Maya stood there for a few seconds, feeling her throat a bit dry, "You know, sometimes I forget the effect of watching your pupils dilate has on me," she says.
Lucas smile and takes her hand before guiding her to the bathroom, "Let me show you where I want to put my eyes," Lucas teases her, looking south of her body.
Maya smiled and grab Lucas by the collar before dragging him inside the bathroom with her, "If this is Texas Lucas, I suggest we keep him," she says before pressing her lips against his.
.
On the next set of seats, Isadora, Sarah, and Zay look at how Lucas and Maya went to another train section.
"Where are they going?" Sarah asks.
Isadora looks at Zay, asking him to lie.
Zay just chuckles, "You don't want to know," Zay replies.
Understanding exactly where they were going and what they were going to do, Sarah blushes, "Well, they seem healthy, don't they? But why here?" she asks, trying to take her awkwardness from herself and put it on the table.
"They are young, they are in love, they are sexually active, they are both extremely hot, countless reasons," Isadora summarizes.
"It's because of me," Zay just answers, making both girls look at him with doubt in her minds, "Yeah, I tell Shawn a tiny story about how Pappy Joe is not especially fond of teen pregnancy and how once he caught his daughter over Lucas's Dad and threat to shoot him if he ever saw him again," he explains.
"Did he shoot him?" Sarah asks while Isadora looks at him in complete disbelief.
"Yeah, my Dad told me that he had to fix 2 shotgun shots from the back of his car and new back tires," Zay comments before let a chuckle escape his mouth.
"Why would you do that?" Isadora asks, surprised about his actions.
"You remember how bad I wanted for this to happen?" he asks back, "Sometimes I wonder if I really wanted Lucas to be happy, or for Lucas to be happy with Maya," he adds, "Anyways, he hides this for a year and a month from me, and he needs to learn that sometimes, you face the consequences of your actions," he explains.
"I know I'm kinda the new kid, but that's petty as fuck," Sarah says.
"Nice to meet you, Isaiah, third name Petty, Babineaux," Zay introduces himself.
"Third name?" Isadora asks.
"Second name Jonas, not gonna deny the name my mother gave me," he answers.
Sarah gently gets closer to Isadora, "Are they always like this?" she asks in a whisper.
A bit nervous by Sarah's closeness, Isadora softly nods, "But I assure you they are good people," she defends her friends.
Sarah softly chuckles, "This trip is gonna be fun," she adds with a soft smile.
Isadora was able to feel how her brain disconnects for a picosecond from herself before looking outside the window with a smile.
.
A few hours later, the whole group walks down from the train.
Lucas walks closer to Zay before getting close to his ear, "I know you tell Shawn about Pappy Joe's shotgun. Enjoy your first days with Vanessa," he whispers in his ear.
Zay looks at him surprised, "Son of a bitch," he replies.
"Vanessa didn't spend two hundred dollars in lingerie, you ingrateful asshole," he answers.
"See you at night, bae?" Zay asks Lucas.
"Sure thing, B," Lucas replies.
"Good thing I bet on Zay, don't you think?" Maya asks him.
"You didn't," Lucas says, then analyzes her face, "Oh my God, you did," he says.
"Of course I did," Maya replies, "Bae," she repeats Zay's words.
"You're lucky my family loves you more than me," He adds, picking up Maya's bag and walking towards Pappy Joe.
"Grandson," Pappy Joe says to Lucas.
"Grandpa," Lucas replies before hugging him tightly.
"Miss Maya!" Pappy Joe says before walking to her and give her a warm hug.
"Every time," Lucas says, defeated.
Guess that's all.
For now.
Now let me check these WIP, I know I have them somewhere
