the gap between “oc playlists i curate for other people to listen to” and “playlists I actually listen to in practice when I am making stuff about the oc” is a mile wide and I think most funnily demonstrated by the one i’ve been using for chief+the R.A.

//Hmm, today I will listen to some Warhammer 40k music
>Plays Noosphere and Children of the Omnissiah from Warhammer 40k Mechanicus.
Today I will now design a Zaunite Akio skin for future use, possibly maybe.

Me: *just gained A2 level of Spanish*
Me: it's time for me to read *checks cover* Mitos, Sueños y Misterios, while listening to Mechanicus ost!
(It was completely accidental)

I was tagged by the lovely @floralprintshark in... may 2020... for this... BUT ANYWAY... lets gooo
🌿 favourite comfort food: The big burger from a place near my house, like, everytime I'm down and have the spare money I get it there, it's sooo tasty!! Also gnocci and lasagna!
🌼 favourite alcohol: CAIPIRINHAS!!! I LOVE THEM AND I LOVE MAKING THEM!!! I'm a sucker for just sweet alcoholic drinks in general but fruity stuff is the best.
🌷 favourite relaxing activity: weirdly enough, doing house chores while listening to podcasts, hanging out in voice chat with friends and playing Minecraft/Stardew Valley.
🌸 favourite fluffy/feel good fic: sadly I can't answer this one properly bc I don't really read fics 🙈
🌻 favourite calming scent: Sun-dried laundry and rain 100%
🌺 favourite relaxing/uplifting song: Oh, I can't really pin one song, but like, anything pop/rock with a high bpm always get me going, for relaxing, game soundtracks, especially the Warhammer 40k: Mechanicus OST and the Skyrim OST.
🌵 favourite white noise: rain, wind in trees, waterfalls, crackling fire, thunderstorms, summer/spring nights.
🍄 favourite book to get lost in: the whole Percy Jackson series, I used to eat those books up.
💐 favourite chill tv show: I don't really have one? I rarely ever watch tv, so I'll say maybe Leverage bc I always have a nice time watching it with friends.
🌹 the best advice you’ve ever had: Well, "Feelings are not always enough to uphold a relationship", is a pretty good one, and you should always try your best to communicate your feelings and thoughts within your (platonic or romantic) relationships.
I’m tagging @whatmyrottingboneswillsing, @m1dn1ghts1nger, @localidiot-m, @manicpixiedreamworld and anyone else that sees this and feels like doing it 💖

List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the askbox for the last 10 people who reblogged something from you! get to know your mutuals and followers
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! I hope everyone gets to spend some time with loved ones who are caring and supportive today.
Today is a Perfect Fall Day. Crisp breeze, slow rain, gorgeous fall colours. Perfect weather for a run, and I think I'll curl up with a book on the front porch and a hot mug of tea.
I have more open source tools! Right now I'm futzing around with Selenium IDE, I want it to automate my benefits reimbursement forms. Fuck secretary work. Make the computer do it for me. Hooray for python!
I just read a Jeeves and Wooster story and the way they "yes and" each other by constantly offering yet another weird metaphor is my favourite thing :)
I have discovered the Sleeper Citizen OST and while I haven't played the game yet, the soundtrack is my current obsession for when I'm coding.
(Bonus) Everything about the Adeptus Mechanicus in Warhammer 40K is sending me into peals of laughter. So much of the lore is a direct riff on the Anglican Book of Prayer! All the hymns I grew up with, that still live in my skull? I'm rewriting the lyrics now. All hail the Omnissiah! From the limits of the temporal plane, machine code set us free.

Thank you for the tag @arkytior-foreman!✨ I love these music tag games, I love finding new stuff (and remembering old stuff - hurray for Chameleon Circuit!).
The assignment is 10 songs, 10 people.
I have only listened to two songs since last week, but non stop on repeat for hours and also they're in my brain all the time, so they totally count.
The first one is from the Disco Elysium soundtrack: Meeting the Posse 1.
In an amazing twist of fate, the second one is ALSO from the Disco Elysium soundtrack: Meeting the Posse 2.
8 more songs to fill out the list:
Troll's Village, Divinity II ost
Ezio's Family, AC II ost
In the Deep Woods, Roadwarden ost
Noosphere, Mechanicus ost
Gerudo Valley, Ocarina of Time ost
The Duke's Herald, Pentiment ost
The Duke's Forces, Pentiment ost
Please tag yourselves, I feel like I play these things too often to bother people every time.

Why listen to pop music and radio when absolute masterpieces of music exist in games? Like have you LISTENED to Hollow Knight OST or any of the music in WH 40k: Mechanicus?
