I have a question for people in the medical field:

Am I supposed to be able to pull my kneecap straight up? Like it hurts but I can and also it always hurts so…? Am I just weird? Also I’ve moved it to the wrong side of my knee, like the inside bend part? I think my knees are fucked? Oh and also I’m slowly losing the ability to bend my knees.

Update: I woke up this morning and it is excruciatingly painful to bend my right leg at the knee, like I refuse to do it it hurts so bad. Help

wondering when this fandom will figure out that 'actually modern medical ethics says it's completely fine for a doctor to do literally any procedure they want to without consent to someone they think is having a mental health crisis' is not the enlightened take they think it is. This exact logic has definitely not been used to justify anything problematic at all, ever. :|

I tend to be largely of the opinion that modern medical ethics is irrelevant to this fictional story set in ancient low fantasy China, and turning into a modern medical ethics debate ignores the point of it in the story, i.e. that it was insane and ethically questionable and he did it anyway because he would stop at nothing, he would go to any lengths to protect Jiang Cheng, no matter the cost, no matter how much it might hurt him, no matter how implausible or impossible, whether or not he wanted it, and that was very sexy of him.

But if people are going to keep spewing that sort of nonsense in the tags and bring modern real life topics into it they could at least bother to think for half a second about what they're saying :/

#I hate to say it but it looks like they fell off #honorary mentions to seemingly knowing less about foraging than Aerin despite supposedly being a woodslore expert #and to not being able to treat wounds without the elite magic skill despite being a medic in b1 #I'm not saying they have to be absolutely flawless at *everything* but lbr so many situations in b2 have been related to b1 skills #that not getting to even allude to them anymore just makes it look like MC went from being the most competent person back to square one #(also as someone who dropped hella diamonds for max XP and all the skills it's more than a little annoying)
