Audio Drama "The Village of Kururugi, Dwelling of Evil Spirits, A Really Scary Geass"

The Drama begins as Suzaku happens to be back at the Kururugi temple, musing about nostalgic memories of his past there, with Nunnally and Lelouch;

Lelouch, Gino, Anya, Rolo and C.C. have come to the Kururugi temple, seemingly to everyone's belief, to enjoy a festival, but it turns out they mistook Lelouch because he meant a matsuri (offering to the God living in the temple) and they understood omatsuri (festival) As Anya and C.C. are bored by the perspective, Gino wonders what Suzaku plans to do there, to which Lelouch replies he doesn't know but that the Kururugi temples isn't the same as most temple in Japan. Anya is seemingly wearing a miko garb, while Lelouch keeps on explaining things about how some stuff about this temple is weird, Gino and Anya are all about doing some cliche tourist stuff and Lelouch gets pissed at them not even trying to listen.

Suzaku then interrupts them, noticing how they have followed him only to discover what he planneds to do by coming over there; He also notices how Anya's miko isn't very miko like as she wears a very shot skirt; C.C. then mentions she once cosplayed with a similar miniskirt and Lelouch and Suzaku tried to imagine that before C.C. calls them back to reality.

Eventually Suzaku get his stuff ready to perform the ritual (which has nothing in common with usual shintoist ritual) as it involved the blood of a behaded chicken, a cursed straw doll and a sword which was drown in criminal's blood. Suzaku wants to seal demonic spirit for it is the role of the Kururugi temple, and the seal has weakened so it needs to be renewed.

Suzaku then begins to say basic stuff like "disappear evil spirit" to everyone's delusion as it is very simple and an evil spirit with emperor Charles's voice eventually appear; As Suzaku can't defeat the evil spirit he decides to use Lancelot but gets defeated anyway; Gino then uses tristan but gets killed, just like Rolo when he tries to use both his geass and his Vincent;

Lelouch then decides to step up and use an all time technique to defeat the spirit, which is to simply deny it's existence (okay this one was good, that is so Lelouch) before calling him out on his lack of closed relatives and him being an illusion. He also tries to use geass but it doesn't work; The spirit gets super angry at that and threatens to eat them all. Xing-ke and Tianzi suddenly intereferes, with Kaguya as well, Xing ke mentions that his family mastered several art like the ones of Feng Shui (…) and that he can defeat the spirit.

He then motivates everyone to yell a nonsensical formula to destroy the spirit, but after several trials it doesn't work and the spirit take out Xing-ke. The spirit then propose to avoid destroying them all if the most beautiful woman around is willing to give herself as a sacrifice; Upon hearing that, Girls begin to fight in order to decide who should be the sacrifice cause they all think they are the prettiest. Eventually C.C. decides to use the power of…Ichirou Okouchi in order to defeat the evil spirit which …works, since he is the creator of Code Geass. As all the survivors leave carefree and hungry we get a glimpse of all the defeated who have been left behind and ask for rescue.

This Drama is about the art week festival which happens in Ashford, and really begins when Rolo enters the student council room, visibly tired; Surprised, Milly wonders what's wrong and Rolo tells her it's because of the Art sessions, Shirley sighs and understands; Milly doesn't understand and they explain that Rolo is tired because he had to be a model for the other students because of the Art festival; as Milly is super disappointed to not know about it, Shirley summarizes the event and end up mentionning Lelouch was the model last year, to Milly and Rolo's surprise; She then imitates how people asked him to not move and to not change his expression ; Rolo gets all dere dere thinking about how it's similar to him; Milly on her side is very unhappy that she didn't knew and didn't witness Lelouch's demise; We then skip to Lelouch entrance, seemingly looking for Rolo to talk about cooking, when Milly welcomes him with a very well done Charles's imitation of his "RuRushuuu" before they switch to the topic of the art week; Milly wants Lelouch to get naked so they can draw him and of course, Lelouch doesn't want to; He begins to think of all the reasons why he doesn't want that, such as they might draw him poorly before he gets back on his feet and reminds Milly that if she forces him to be a nude model, she'd have his fans who'd blame her and she might lose her seat as president. Milly is shocked at his idea to use women against him but Lelouch is very satisfied with himself. Lelouch then proposes Rivalz as model, Rivalz seems ready to sacrifice himself for Milly's happiness but Milly…doesn't want him.

Meanwhile, Rolo is all admirative of his big brother being able to get out of it of his own before the attention shifts to him, Indeed if neither Lelouch or Rivalz can do it, Rolo will have to do it; Milly then compliments his look and makes him feel quite uncomfortable before Lelouch reminds him it's an order from the president of the student council, to which Rolo is like "Brother ?!" Rolo then begins to think about ways to get out of this mess without endangering Lelouch but suddenly Lelouch intervenes and reminds Milly that she can't have his little rother be naked in front of a crowd, to Rolo's relief; He then implies that to protect Rolo he'd be willing to do it but Rolo intervenes and says he'll do it if it's for Lelouch's sake; As they are in their very brother moment Milly realizes she is the mean one there while Rolo is all happy in his thoughts because Lelouch wanted to protect him; Suzaku eventually arrives, all cheerful as usual and as Milly begins to try and bribe him for her project with her super sweet voice he rejects her offer without even leaving her the chance to say it; Gino comes in after him shortly and the evil mind of Milly and Lelouch combined decide to have him be the prey, by talking about how Lelouch is the only one who can do what they need for the next event; Suzaku tries to warn him but is shut down by the others, and Gino falls into the trap because if Lelouch can do it, he can also do it; They manage to have everyone "agreeing", leading Gino to agree and he ends up in the position that you can imagine, much to Milly's satisfaction.

That's about it for This audio Drama, The second one could very well have happened as it's not pure crack, like the first one and last one of the R2 sound drama but it's a mess so it's up to you how you want to consider it; Hope you enjoyed ~

self explanatory really. or not. ANYWAY ive mentioned 100000 times that amesa is a literal personification of what mim is. a generator of fog and an observer of their collective. SO camera and um. humidifier.

In the art book it does make it clear that the worlds are merging together so Magatsu-Inaba becomes.. well. You’re literally above Inaba now. SO yes, Izanami at this point is watching over all of Inaba. “Ame”- no - Sagiri. 天の狭霧, "fog of the sky," if we’re taking the literal translations.

It doesn’t mention how it looks like a bit like a naval mine but it never mentioned how izanami in robes looks like a teru teru bozu so.

the other interpretation I have is that amesa emerged from the sea of human souls <- said loosely, hence the liquid from underneath. But considering the area around Adachi’s body burst into flames and that the color scheme of the Ame-no-Sagiri lens, it could be reminiscent of an oil puddle, hence the meme <- sorry I really thought it was funny.

And the 石油 (sekiyu) from MOEL meaning “oil” well. it could round up back to there.

are Inaba and Yaso-Inaba any different? - yes. Yaso-Inaba is found within the City of Inaba itself

this is part of the bullshit geography they have going on yeah. 八十 (yaso) means “eighty (80)” literally and 東 (higashi) means “east.” This screenshot is the train station sign. The game also says that Yaso-Inaba is the end of that line while Higashi-Inaba is another station somewhere out in Inaba.

while we’re talking about funny geography, it took bancho three train transfers from Tokyo to get to Yaso-Inaba. In Dancing, Yosuke said they took a bus to get to Takura Productions in Rise’s city and where Narukami’s residing in at that point. While there’s the map of, um im not sure actually, might just be Yaso-Inaba I haven’t quite checked. Yasogami and the shopping district and Samegawa are actually near to each other, and? If not for his ability to take over people's mind and body, Yuu Otosaka would be an ordinary high school student. Though it only lasts for five seconds at a time, Yuu's mysterious power allowed him to cheat his way to the top of his class and enter a prestigious high school, where he continues his dishonest acts.

His shenanigans are eventually stopped by Nao Tomori—the headstrong student council president from Hoshinoumi Academy—who sees through his deceit. Through coercion, Nao convinces Yuu to transfer to Hoshinoumi and join the student council. Hoshinoumi Academy is secretly an institution created for adolescents who possess supernatural abilities—with the student council serving as a means of locating those who abuse their powers.

With Yuu begrudgingly assisting in council affairs, the group sets out to find and protect new ability users from harm. However, as they further investigate the abilities, their findings entangle them in far more complicated matters than they could ever imagine.

I have seen bits of the Hanako-kun radio show translated here and there, but never the entire episodes, so here’s to the people who wanted to know how the rest of them goes down. The whole thing is ridiculously funny.

Akarin: Eh, the very popular original work by AidaIro-sensei, serialized in G Fantasy, “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun”, will finally have the first episode of its much-awaited anime adaptation broadcasting from next week onward, on January 9! For those who can’t wait for it to air, today, I, Kitou Akari, who play the role of Yashiro Nene, am intruding into the studio in the middle of the recording, to ask everyone in the cast about their passion for it! Yaaay!

[Cheering]

Akarin: It’s already clear that it’s pretty lively here, though!

Yuu-kun: Thanks!

ChibaShou: YES!!!

Chikape: Whoa! He’s so eager!

Akarin: *laughs* Chiba Shouya-san!

ChibaShou: Yes!

Akarin: Chiba-san, how about it?

ChibaShou: Please stop playing around like I’m so cool when we’re at a stage where I haven’t said a single line yet!

Akarin: *laughs*

ChibaShou: That’s a pretty good retort! Hum—

Ogata: The one who played around was Mizushima Takahiro!

Akarin/ChibaShou: *laugh*

ChibaShou: That’s right. It was Mizushima-san. Hum, speaking of Mizushima-san, I’m Chiba Shouya!

Akarin: *laughs harder*

ChibaShou: Hum, I voice Minamoto Kou. My name is Chiba Shouya. Everyone, happy New Year!

Akarin: Cheers!

ChibaShou: Cheers. Man, seriously. This was such a long-awaited anime adaptation.

Akarin: Hm-hm!

ChibaShou: Ever since this work was announced, as expected, each of the viewers were like, “Ah! That thing’s gonna get animated!”, so it seems this series is truly loved by people of many age groups.

Akarin: Right?

ChibaShou: Anyhow, the more you read it, the more you become a captive of it! Hum, for me, this year is coming after a bad one...

Pick-up Voice 2008/10

Posting a fragment of an interview with JunJun and Daichuu from the magazine Pick-up Voice 2008/10 vol.10, where the two state that Lelouch cared about Rolo all along. It’s not much, but I know their words will make people other than me happy, so here it is:

Interviewer: The incident with Shirley in episode 12 was shocking. To think Rolo would go so far...

(TN: Should be ep 13, but okay...) Mizushima: Rolo, just like Lelouch, is incapable of seeing people as anything more than symbols. So, when it comes to Shirley, since she gets along with Lelouch, Rolo saw her as an obstacle. Therefore, coming to the conclusion of just killing her was easy. Whoever comes between Lelouch and Rolo is a hindrance, and the one at the top of that was Nunnally. Rolo clearly said in his monologue "I'll kill her". He was resolute. Fukuyama: It should have been obvious the moment he let Rolo join him, but apparently Lelouch didn’t get that (laughs). He thought that, since Rolo was willing to do anything for him, he would bring Nunnally to him as well. Even before, it seemed to me that the danger of Rolo killing Nunnally was imminent, but when that scene came I realized that “This guy really doesn’t get it!!” (laughs). I’d say that if both of them had grown up developing normal relationships with people, they would have become good siblings. Lelouch has affection for Rolo too, you know. He just spent all the time not being aware of it and only came to the realization in their final scene together, but he had been depending on Rolo for many things without realizing it. Once Lelouch lets someone get close to him, it's already too late, although he can’t see that. Perhaps his feelings towards Rolo weren’t that strong, but in the end, when he was saved by him, his emotions heightened and he realized "This guy, he actually...!" (laughs). He really is weak when it comes to emotions. Mizushima: I like it when Lelouch is easily swayed by emotions. The scene in the end where he couldn't help but worry and say "Stop it, Rolo! If you do that, you'll end up dead!" was probably unconscious for him. ------- (There were also some more Rolo lines in GeaGene and Super Robot Wars DD, but it’s so little that I’ll post them some other time.)
