Crossing a live track should be a bigger and more robust punishment than a financial fine imo, but implying you're only looking into it because of the status of the person involved in the last incident is a really weird and unnecessarily passive aggressive precedent to set when you can just say "Going forwards we need to reconsider the punishment given the severity and danger of these types of offences"...

Hiii!! Sorry to disturb you, I'm kinda new to the fandom and i was wondering what was the joke that charles pulled on the Ferrari team and how they broke the news of his 5yr contract to him? And what is the "car he won in" thing included in the contract? Sorry to be bothersome ksjsjsn

I need cute Ferrari and Charles story to somehow mend my broken heart after the mess of the last few races, i love anecdotes about how much his team loves him and is wrapped around his fingers

helllooooo, it's no trouble at all! I love talking about charles and ferrari :') so here we go!

The prank Charles pulled on the Ferrari team was at the last 3 corners to him winning Bahrain 2022. For context, 3 years ago, Charles was leading the race in Bahrain by around 10 seconds, in his second race ever with Ferrari. It was brilliant to watch. It felt like he was really going to win his first race in just his second race ever in a competitive car. (Previously, he had just one year at Sauber, which finished P8 in the standings.) But then. "There's something strange with the engine, something strange with the engine!" Lewis passed him. Then Valtteri. He managed to keep a P3 thanks to a safety car, but his very first podium in F1 had been a disappointment because were it not for the engine problem, he really should have had his maiden win then. It wouldn’t be until Spa 2019 where he would win his first F1 grand prix. Flashforward to 2022. First race of the season. Ferrari had been P3 last year. They looked quite strong in testing but you never really know until you get the cars on track. Charles is on pole. He drives beautifully, outsmarts Max Verstappen after a close pit stop then holds him off with a perfect restart. We’re at the final lap. Three corners to the end. Then you hear on Charles’ radio: “There’s something strange with the engine, something strange with the engine!” Brief pause. Engineers checking their date. Mechanics suffering a mini heart attack in the garage. Tentatively, Xavi, his race engineers, laughs, nervously, “Copy.” Pause. “I’m joking.” You can hear his smile. “Understood.” He reaches the finish line. “And P1!!”  Charles says he’d actually been planning this prank for about 10-15 laps, the madman, hoping there wouldn’t be reliability issues. (Possibly through that nervy safety car restart even.) He said he was already imaging the face of an engineer Torre in the garage, “povero gabbiano hai perduto la compagna.” [reference to an italian meme, “poor seagull who lost his mate!”] This is an inside joke between Charles and the Ferrari garage, who had played the song in the garage and dared him to say it on the radio, if he won. Mattia says to him on the radio, “Never do that again, eh?” Charles responds that no, of course not, it was only appropriate in this situation.  Charles pulls up to the pit lane. P1. He embraces his team, they are rejoicing, this feels like redemption and a rebirth. “Sei uno stronzo! Sei uno stronzo!” his mechanics/engineers say as they hug him. Yeah, because he is an asshole for making them a heart attack for a few seconds like that!

The story of Charles being notified that he got the Ferrari seat for 2019 is also such a great one because, like Charles’ Bahrain 2022 joke, it really is representative of Ferrari humor. (Basically, Person A will go like [smth completely untrue/opposite of what they want to say,] Person B will be like oh..., and then Person A is like :3 jk, actually-)  I’m not sure if this call takes place during the summer or during the season, but it should before Kimi announced at the Italian Grand Prix that he was going to Sauber/Alfa Romeo next year. Charles, at that point, was in his first year with Sauber. He’d been doing a brilliant job with a car that wasn’t that great, getting it into Q3s and scoring good points too. It was a big debate among tifosi whether or not Charles should be called up or not. Most wanted Kimi to stay. He was massively popular, his form was seeing an uptick in the latter half of the season, he was a very steady and solid partner to Seb who was leading the championship fights for Ferrari. Charles, just 20 at the time, was an unknown. It hadn’t been in Ferrari’s nature to promote drivers young for some years. Massa had spent 3-4 years at Sauber before stepping up to Ferrari in 2006. The Ferrari Drivers Academy had only been established in December 2009, Jules Bianchi was the first member. He was still part of Ferrari’s program when he made it to F1, driving at backmarker team Marussia F1 in 2013 and 2014 until his fatal accident at the Japanese Grand Prix. Jules probably would have made the step up to the midfield Sauber in 2015 first, to prove himself more, before he could step up into Ferrari, a future that had seemed certain to so many around the paddock until his accident.  But then, a few years on you had Charles, who was immediately fast in a car and learned even faster. He won GP3 and F2 back to back in his rookie seasons. Since 2017, there’s been quite some hype surrounding him as a Ferrari junior who was dominating the F2 season, even more so for his incredible show of maturity and determination to race and win on the very week his father died. That weekend had impressed then Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene.  And so, in 2018, some time during summer break or before the Italian Grand Prix, Charles receives a phone call from Maurizio. Maurizio says, “Okay, we’ve made our decision, you are not taken for 2019.” Charles was, of course, disappointed. But it is an understandable decision to renew Kimi Raikkonen, the last Ferrari champion, you know? He will get his chance eventually. 15 seconds pass. “No, I’m joking,” Maurizio says. On September 11,  there is the official announcement: Charles Leclerc will drive for Scuderia Ferrari in 2019. 

Charles won Spa and Monza back to back in 2019, his first and second win consecutively. The first Ferrari win at Monza since Fernando Alonso in 2010. He’d sustained consistent pressure from Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas throughout the whole race, and he won. As soon as he won Monza, this 21-year-old kid said to Ferrari, “...You know, I would love this car at home.” And they were like, “Oh, we’ll see, we’ll see.” The end of the year rolls around. Charles is renewing his contract with Ferrari. In the process of re-negotiating his contract, he brings up the point about the car that won in Spa and won in Monza, and Ferrari accepts. Charles renews his contract with Ferrari by 5 years, the longest contract length in Scuderia Ferrari history, a courtesy not even Michael Schumacher received. That 5-year contract just shows you the regard Charles and Ferrari has for each other.  So, in 2021, ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Charles teases that he has received a very special gift from Ferrari. It is that SF90 car, with the same exact chassis that he won his first two grand prix with back in 2019.

Defeated and exhausted, that was Lewis scotched in his airplane seat with you tangled in his arms, asleep beside him. The flight back to the UK after a disastrous Japanese Grand Prix held all the weight of the race, the frustration of the poor performance, and the uncertainty of his future with Mercedes weighing heavily on him.

Gently cradling you in his arms, Lewis pressed his face into your hair, breathing in your scent, finding solace in the familiarity and warmth of your presence. His fingers lightly traced the contours of your back, feeling the steady rhythm of your heartbeat against his chest. Holding you like this; he felt a fleeting moment of peace amidst the storm of emotions and uncertainties that surrounded him. He whispered softly, barely audible above the hum of the airplane engine, " Thank you for always being there for me, even when I'm at my lowest”

He held you close, drawing comfort from your presence, knowing that whatever happened, you had been through much worse and had always stood strong together. As he looked down to your sleeping figure, the scene brought back a nagging memory on repeat, a night back in 2021, when you had comforted him after a nightmare. Now, as much as back then, you were his anchor, his safe haven amidst the chaos and uncertainty.

You were jolted awake when his entire body lurched, causing him to drop you abruptly onto the mattress. His breathing was rapid, coming out in sharp puffs as he hid his face in his hands, his shoulders tense under your arms as you held him from behind. You waited patiently, holding him until his breathing began to even out. Eventually, he turned to you, fear evident in his eyes. Without a word, you pulled him into your embrace, running your fingers through his braids and soothing the tension in his arms.

You had never seen that happen to him – that nightmarish episode that left a haunting impression. It had been two days from the crash with Verstappen in Monza. You'd traveled with him to NYC under the pretense of having an important. No one knew about the two of you yet. A few stolen moments here and there, and nights tangled in each other were all you had. He returned to his penthouse almost at dawn after the Met Gala, quietly ushering you from the bedroom you were occupying to his own bed. His friends, drunk from the after party, were oblivious to the fact that your supposed meeting was just a cover-up. The real reason you were there was that you couldn't bear to be apart from him after that crash.

Hours seemed to pass without either of you uttering a single word. The mere press of each other’s bodies was enough to ground you both. By the time Daniel knocked on the door to let him know they were headed out and assumed you hadn’t spent the night, it was well past noon. Little did he know, you had been there the whole time and would continue to be there for the rest of the day.

Lewis had witnessed similar episodes with you, most often triggered by situations related to Ayrton. Sometimes it manifested as restlessness, with you tossing and turning in bed. But on other occasions, it was far more severe. You'd wake up cold, tears streaming down your face, a scream caught in your throat, and a deafening ringing in your ears.

When these episodes occurred, Lewis knew exactly what to do. He would hold you tightly, his fingers lightly tracing your skin and scalp, while he repeated reassuring words over and over. And when you finally became aware of your surroundings, he'd listen attentively as you spoke about whatever had triggered the nightmare, comforting you until you fell back asleep in his arms.

As the sun began to set, casting a hauntingly beautiful golden hue through the penthouse windows, you went to find some food, Lewis hot on your feet, taking any opportunity to find himself wrapped in your arms. His arms securely around you, his fingers gently tracing patterns on your back as you leaned into him even while you waited for the stove to warm up the takeout from the previous night. The events of the day had left both of you emotionally drained, the scars of the past resurfacing with a vengeance.

The weight of the nightmare and fear of the unknown had taken its toll on both of you. The emotional strain was palpable, the shadows of past traumas lingering in the corners of your minds, waiting to strike when least expected. "You don't have to go through this alone, you know," you whispered, your voice filled with genuine concern. "I'm always here for you, no matter what."

He looked at you, his eyes filled with a mixture of gratitude, love, and pain. "And I'm here for you" his voice softly reassuring you “Always."

Lewis smiled, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. He pulled you closer to him, cherishing the moment of fragile peace and understanding between you. The bond you shared was unique, built on trust, understanding, and unconditional love. Despite the challenges and nightmares that sometimes haunted your nights, the love and support you provided each other were unwavering.

As night fell, Lewis led you back to the bedroom, ensuring you were comfortable and safe before joining you in bed. He held you close, his presence a constant source of comfort and reassurance. You drifted off to sleep, protected and loved in the arms that secured you so tightly.

Lewis remained awake; his gaze fixed on your peaceful sleeping face. The haunting memories of the accident with Verstappen in Monza played in his mind, and a shiver ran down his spine as he thought about how close it had come to being his end.

His thoughts were consumed by the accident, the fear of losing you, and the nightmares that had been haunting both of you. The emotional strain was palpable, and tears welled up in his eyes as he continued to watch you sleep, his mind tormented by the events of the past and the shadows of the traumas you both had endured.

The room was silent except for the soft, rhythmic sound of your breathing. Lewis leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss on your forehead, his heart aching with love and fear. He whispered words of love and reassurance, hoping that somehow, you could feel his presence and know that he would always be there for you.

He tightened his grip around you, pulling you closer as if trying to protect you from the world and the nightmares. His mind was filled with what-ifs and worst-case scenarios, the weight of the past and the uncertainty of the future pressing down on him.

"We almost lost it all," he whispered to himself, his voice choked with emotion. "Gosh, I can't lose you, not now, not ever."

f1 Charles Leclerc made his Ferrari debut in 2018, racing alongside with the 4 times champion of the world, Sebastian Vettel, now, finishing his 5th year with the Scuderia and far from the results that he wanted, he leaves the team. Charles raced 100 races with Ferrari, won 5 times, including his historical winning in Monza, 2019 and 28 poles. Very good luck, Charles.

charles_leclerc for 5 years this team and this car were my dream, i have won with ferrari and i have lost with them - many times, but i still had faith in the project, unfortunately, my dream was not enough to hold the love and the wishes i had with them. thank you all tifosi out there, for the indescribably suport and love you have showed me for the past years, it was my honour. my heart will always bleed ferrari red, but it is time to breath another air.

9:45 PM, September 11, you stared at the clock with heavy breaths. You groan, sitting up from your bed as you look out your hotel room's window. It was the night before the Italian Grand Prix. Sighing loudly, you look out, seeing the beautiful view of Monza. Your family stayed at Hotel De La Ville, a famous hotel, and the hotel drivers stayed before the races. Eyes blinking profusely as you realize you're staying in the same hotel. This feeling you had, you were so nervous, so worried. That feeling you used to get came back. You took deep breaths, trying to calm yourself. 

Suddenly, the loud, sharp noise of your hotel room being opened startled you. You yelped, turning around with eyes widened. Sighing softly as you realize it's Pao. 

"Gee, you look like you've seen a ghost." 

He looks at you with furrowed eyebrows, eyeing you from head to toe. 

"Sorry, just nervous for the race tomorrow." You sigh, sitting down on your bed. 

"Or because you have a crush on one of the drivers?"

Pao laughs, teasing you; he sits beside you, patting your shoulder as he smirks. 

"Oh my god, Pao! I don't have a crush on him!" 

Oh, how you wished you lied. 

He was right; you did. Come on? Who wouldn't have a crush on Carlos Sainz Jr? He's every girl's dream man. That's why you couldn't be happier when he signed that contract with Ferrari. He's one of the reasons why you're a Ferrari fan. Dozing off and being lost in your thoughts was disturbed by Pao snapping his finger in front of your face. 

"Are you high or something?" 

He laughs, looking at your dead-ass blank face, which soon turns to a disgusted face. You playfully and gently slap his face. 

"What do you want?" You roll your eyes, asking him why he's in your room. 

"Dad said to give you the paddock passes." 

He gives you the paddock passes for your whole family, and you smile softly, looking at it. 

"Great, thanks"

You said as you put the passes on the first drawer of your nightstand.

"Get some sleep, Y/N," 

Pao chuckles, gently patting your shoulder as he leaves your room, closing the door. 

You snicker at what your brother said, sighing softly as you grab the paddock passes from your drawer. You took your phone from your pocket and took a picture of the paddock passes. You opened your Instagram and posted a picture of the paddock passes.

After you've uploaded the post, you put the passes back in the drawer. Going to the bathroom, you grabbed a jacket and wore it. You grabbed your things and left your hotel room as you headed to the elevator. When you enter the elevator, you press the button for the ground floor. Once you reach the ground floor, you head to the front desk to ask where the buffet is.  

While you walk to the front desk, you put your AirPods on. Playing the song "Take a Chance With Me." The lyrics hit you hard, knowing so much that you relate to it. Thinking to yourself, what if you saw Carlos? Even though you would see him tomorrow, you still hoped to see him. 

🎶 His laugh you'd die for, his laugh you'd die for. The kind that colors the sky 🎶

Hearing the lyrics caused you to smile as you arrived at the front desk; suddenly, a man pushed you aside aggressively, causing you to yelp. Groaning as, you felt the pain of him making you on your arm, which caused a bruise. You scoff, glaring at the guy. 

"Hey! What the hell was that for? You didn't have to push me! And to be fair, I was first. There's a line for a reason, dude."

 You roll your eyes, looking at the guy with anger. You were fuming, and boy, did he make it worse. 

"You're funny, kid; this hotel is only for rich men. What the hell is a petty little girl like you doing here?"

The man scoffs. He turns his head to the receptionist.

 "Can't you get this girl out of here?" He looks at the receptionist, disgusted, and then eyes you from head to toe. 

"Um sir, no, she's-"

 The stupid man didn't even let the receptionist finish. You scoff, stretching your arms out. You give the guy a stern look, hands on your hips, as you start talking back. 

"Rich men only? You don't own the hotel, man, and for your information. I am not a girl; I am a woman. You don't have the right to say that to me; the owner of this hotel is my father's co-worker. Yeah, and you'll be like, who could possibly be your father?" 

You say in a sarcastic tone, babbling as you coo. 

"My father is Jean Louis Dela Cruz."

While you were arguing and yapping with the guy, just across the lounge, 

A person you wouldn't expect to be there. Carlos Sainz Jr. was with Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton, and Lando Norris. They see the situation, eyes widened at how you could stand up to the guy. Lando's eyes widened as he recognized you. "

Mate! That’s Y/N Dela Cruz! The famous supermodel. How dare that stupid man talk to her like that." Lando shrugs, shaking his head.

But Carlos can't even listen. He was in awe of your beauty. How can something be so beautiful and perfect? He thought to himself. It's like time stopped, and the only thing he could see was you. Your beauty, your perfection, you. His thoughts were interrupted by Lewis nudging him. 

"Dude, are you here?"

 He laughs, noticing Carlos is lost in his own thoughts. Carlos chuckles, smiling as he nods his head. 

"Yeah, what's happening?"

 He sighs, looking at Lando, Lewis, and Charles.

"Lando was just saying that the guy there was disrespecting Y/N, the famous supermodel."

 Charles reiterated what Lando had said a while ago. 

Carlos didn't need Charles to finish his sentence once he heard the word "disrespectful and Y/N." Lewis was about to say something, but Carlos caught him off guard by storming towards you and the guy. 

"Wait, what-"

 Lewis' eyes widened seeing Carlos march over to you and the guy. Charles and Lando chuckle. They look at each other as they decide to follow him. 

Meanwhile, you were still arguing with the guy and already speaking Spanish. Angry Spanish will always work somehow. 

“¿Quién diablos te crees que eres? ¿Cómo te atreves a hablarle así a una mujer? ¡Claramente nunca te enseñaron modales! Estúpido hijo de puta.(Who the hell do you think you are? How dare you talk to a woman like that? They clearly never taught you manners! Stupid son of a bitch.)"

 You scoff angrily, giving the man a death stare. You could feel your eyes burning from anger. 

"Crazy."

 The man rolled his eyes, laughing at you as he walked away.

"QUE? WHO YOU CALLING CRAZY (WHAT? WHO YOU CALLING CRAZY?)"

You yelled, eyes widened and mouth open, still angry. Scoffing loudly, you see four men in your peripheral vision. You turn to your left, eyes widened to see Carlos, Lewis, Charles, and Lando. You furrow your eyebrows, seeing Carlos stare at you. Your eyes widened, realizing that your wish earlier had come true. The song "Take a Chance With Me by Niki" was still playing. One of the lyrics played, making you blush slightly, trying to keep your composure. 

🎶 Electricity surging in the air 🎶

"You are gorgeous, I'm Lando."

 He smiles at you playfully, going in front of Carlos and reaching his hand out for yours. 

"Stop flirting with girls, Lando."

 Lewis rolls his eyes, approaching you closer and smiling. 

"Hi, I'm Lewis."

 Charles grins, furrowing his eyebrows as he nudges Lando. 

"Sorry about Lando, I'm Charles." 

He smiles. 

"Yeah, I know you guys." I smile softly. 

"Are you okay? That guy was awful." 

Carlos smiles at you; he flutters his eyes with his pretty eyelashes. Giving you the most seductive but loving look. God, how your heart beat so fast, but you had to stay strong. 

"Yeah, men are dogs."

 you rolled your eyes, crossing your arms as you raised an eyebrow. 

"Meow"

 Carlos chuckles, smiling at you, making the others laugh, shocked at Carlos' flirty behavior. 

You couldn't help but chuckle, and you playfully clicked your tongue. 

"Yeah, good luck tomorrow. I'll see you."

 You smile softly, winking at him as you walk away. You let out a deep and exasperated breath. Giggling like a teenager as you saw your crush. The song "Take a Chance With Me " by Niki still played until you went back to your hotel room and went to sleep. 

Meanwhile, down at the lounge of the hotel. The guys stayed there, Lewis smiling and laughing as he teased Carlos, 

"Flirting 101."

 The others laughed along, and so did Carlos. 

"I found my charm now."

 He smiled as they all went back to their hotel rooms.
