Zu Christian Bauers und Daniels Antworten bei der Premiere: Für mich klingt das schon ein bisschen unterschiedlich? Bei Christian Bauer wirkt es so, als hätte Adam schon ewig den festen Plan gehabt, zurückzukommen, und hätte genau im Auge behalten, was in Saarbrücken und mit Leo gerade los ist, um die richtige Gelegenheit zu erwischen, und bei Daniel eher, als wäre das eine unbewusste, vielleicht auch spontane Entscheidung gewesen? Vielleicht interpretiere ich da auch zu viel rein. Ist die landläufige Meinung eigentlich, dass Adam sich selber verboten hat, herauszufinden, was aus Leo geworden ist, vielleicht weil es zu arg weggetan hat, und einfach irgendwann schwach geworden ist, oder wusste er immer, dass Leo Polizist geworden ist und sein Vater nie aus dem Koma aufgewacht oder gestorben ist?

Jedenfalls vieln lieben Dank für die Audiopsie und ich freu mich schon auf etwaige Sonderfolgen, die da noch kommen mögen:-)

Hi! Ja, das kann man definitiv so sehen. Gerade Daniels Reaktion von wegen "Das hab ich so aber nicht gespielt" fand ich so witzig, dass ich das unbedingt im Podcast haben wollte.

Ob es eine landläufige Meinung dazu gibt, ob Adam die ganze Zeit "tabs" on Leo hatte oder nicht, weiß ich gar nicht. Persönlich tendiere ich eher zu Ersterem. Adam wirkt auf mich, als wenn er sich absichtlich aus all dem rausgehalten hat, vielleicht in der Hoffnung, zu vergessen/verdrängen, was passiert ist (und seine Gefühle für Leo maybe hehe), aber dass er zurückgekommen ist, spricht natürlich dafür, dass es nicht geklappt hat...

A pair of illustrations done a little while ago for the Lumen Éditions release of Strange the Dreamer. Written by New York Times bestselling author Laini Taylor, Strange the Dreamer is an epic fantasy about a young librarian, a mythic lost city, and the half-human children of murdered gods. While ultimately the illustrations were used for promotional material rather than the cover artwork, it was still a joy to be a part of the French edition release. The audiobook was my soundtrack while painting Lazlo and Sarai, and I was mesmerised by the dark beauty of their world!

The dream chooses the dreamer, not the other way around. Since he was a boy, Lazlo Strange has dreamed of the mythical city of Weep. A fortuitous opportunity allows Lazlo to join the hero Godslayer and a band of legendary warriors on their journey to search for the lost city. The answers Lazlo seeks await in Weep, but so do many more mysteries - including an unexpected bond with the blue-skinned goddess who visits Lazlo's dreams.

It was soo soothing working on this painting 😌 Sarai is one of my all time favourite characters and I loove painting blue skin for some reason 😄 This scene is not 100% faithful to the books as she didn't actually sleep on the balcony but you know, I was just envisioning her in that beautiful light.

Sebagai penggemar Laini Taylor, yang sudah mengikuti semua seri yang dia tulis, Anna sedikit syok waktu baca MUSE OF NIGHTMARES, karena ternyata ada kaitannya dengan seri Daughter of Smoke and Bones (yang juga sudah diterbitkan @bukugpu beberapa tahun lalu).

Akhir kisah STRANGE THE DREAMER, cukup bikin Anna sedikit nggak terima. Bikin Anna berdoa, semoga itu bukan ending yang sebenarnya. Dan waktu mulai membaca MUSE OF NIGHTMARES, doa Anna sedikit terkabul.

Sarai adalah si Batari Mimpi Buruk. Sejak kecil hidupnya dipenuhi mimpi-mimpi buruk di alam mimpi Weep. Dia pikir dia sudah tahu semua kengerian yang dipunyai mimpi buruk, tapi tampaknya memang selalu ada kengerian baru. Dan, tragedi yang baru terjadi membuktikan hal itu. .Rasanya semua kisah manis Sarai dan Lazlo bukanlah milik mereka, melainkan hanya dipinjamkan. Sarai menjadi hantu, lalu Minya (bukan Minyu, miminnya FiksiGPU) menyandera hantu Sarai karena dia tahu Lazlo mencintai Sarai. Dengan kata lain Lazlo ikut berada dalam kendali Minya yang masih berkutat pada dendamnya terhadap Weep. Kalau Lazlo menolak menuruti perintahnya, Sarai akan hilang. Tapi, kalau Lazlo menuruti permintaan Minya, akan lebih banyak lagi penduduk Weep yang terancam. Kecuali, jika Lazlo bisa menemukan cara untuk meredam dendam Minya terhadap Weep.
