I got a quesadilla from Publix this morning, and the more I look at it, the more I feel like I'm not gonna like it.

i hate fluorescent lighting. its too bright, i hate the color, it makes my eyes tired and stresses me out. the office i work in has two long panels of fluorescent lighting, but they are each on a different switch. i usually turn one on and keep one off. like a balance of having light, especially for my coworkers and not being overwhelmed by too much of it. today ive been struggling to do work. i also felt my eyes getting really tired and hurting. i realized both the light panels were on! im usually the first one in and i turn on the lights in the morning but not today. so i tell my coworker that im going to turn off one of the lights. he tells me that he normally doesnt like that but today is fine. and just, it really frustrated me. because 1, i normally do this and its not a problem, why is it a problem now that im telling you im doing a thing. and 2, it feels like he doesnt want to accommodate me and thats really frustrating because im asking for a minor thing and hes not caring out how having both lights on makes me feel. like yes maybe having only one light on makes you feel a certain way but what about me. im tired of having to accomodate for other people only to have them be uncaring to accommodate for me.
also - it feels like hes saying i can do it today because hes giving me permission to? like this is my office too!! youre not my boss. you dont need to give me permission to do shit. i really dont like the presumption there. its like an implication that im the one whos deviating from the norm so i need to have permission from others to do it? stupid and dumb. just let me have my little accoms.
