~Mystically Broken AU - Chapter 1~

You trembled as the taxi took you to a dark street, filled with crime. Robbery, Arson, right in the day light. You felt nervous. The taxi stopped at the tallest building. Once you left the taxi and entered the building, you turned around to glance at the Taxi, two people robbed the driver.. You hurried to your destination. You enter the Elevator, hopping nothing wrong happens.

~Flash Back~

You sat in your boss's office, expecting your paycheck for the month. She looked at you rather nervously. "As you know, our company has been slowly crumbling, we've been losing clients and we haven't been strengthening any business ties. Luckily! We have a few people wiling to help us, under a few conditions." You glanced at her nervously. "Who are these people exactly?" She gulped and looked away, She wasn't usually this cautious. You were worried. "You'll find out soon! They arranged a meeting for us to discuss the terms and conditions. You are coming with me since you are our top employee and one of our representatives!" She smiles enthusiastically. It felt odd, you wanted to know more about them. But you felt like she'd avoid the question. "That's great.." You smiled nervously. Why did your fellow representative have to be sick on THIS day?! You knew you should've spent more time in bed..

~Present~

You gulped as you tapped the button on the elevator. The top floor. The elevator door shut loudly. Who were these people? Why was this place so shady and creepy. You had the feeling that whoever your boss made a contract with isn't really a nice guy. The elevator made an abrupt stop as it opened. You walk out of the elevator and looked around. The floor was glass and it looked like an aquarium? You couldn't see any fish until you saw a.. robot shark.. then another and another.. The room was dimly lit and looked up to see the city's four most wanted criminals and your boss looking at you. "You made it!" your boss's voice muffled you were too in shock and you looked at the four criminals infront of you. "Let's get this over with, my time will not be wasted by your incompetence." Donatello, Mechanical genius, One of the smartest and deadly criminals due to his understanding of technology. He creates deadly weapons that cause mass destruction. it was rumored he uses petty criminals for his experiments.. Who am i kidding, he probably does. He glared you down like he couldn't tolerate your presence. "Donnie, stop your growling. You're gonna scare away the prey." Leonardo, One of if not the person with highest bodycount. He's killed hundreds, thousands to get what he wants. But he always manages to hide the evidence. One of the best Manipulaters. He's hard to catch, people say he just vanishes. He nudges his twin while laughing. He looks at you like he wanted to devour you whole. "Why don't you idiots shut up! Don't listen to them."

Raphael, a literal tank that could take hundreds of people at once. The strongest when it came to raw strength and battle strategy. If you ever cross him or do something that upsets him, prepare to deal with his terrible and DEADLY temper. He glared at Donatello and Leonardo as they shut their mouths. You hear a voice from behind you.. You gasped when you saw who it was. "Well, don't you look fun?"

MichelAngelo, The best at deceiving others and persuading them to do his bidding. He locks people up for fun and calls them his playthings. He kills anyone who steps in his way. He commits daily vandalism. He wouldn't kill anyone right away, he'd slowly drive them to the brink of insanity because it's fun to watch them fall apart. What had your boss gotten you into?! "Now, take a seat. Cynthia here tells us you have experience addressing crowds and dealing with rumors about your company. Dealing with any evidence regarding your companies misdeeds." It was true you were the one dealing with false rumors and false evidence.. That's how you became one of the representatives. But you had a gut feeling they were gonna take advantage of that. "I have been the one dealing with those issues but that was because they were mostly false! I can't defend something when i know it's wrong." You wanted to stand your ground. That was a bad choice. you turned to your side and gulp. There was a sword or katana.. an odachi. There was an odachi to your neck. "All of us have to do things we don't want to do to survive in this cruel world. Do as we say and we'll keep our end of the deal, alright?" Your boss, Cynthia just looks at you nervously, her gaze telling you to accept their condition. "Or we'll have to slowly destroy you one by one.. " His laugh echoing through the room. "Make this quick so i don't have to spend another moment with these imbeciles." you gulped and slowly nodded as you still felt the Odachi's sharp end to your throat. "We need you to destroy all criminal records. No matter how many times i delete it from the governments system, the people of new york still spread these awful rumors. who knew word of mouth could be so, infuriating. we need you to-"

"Ughh.. Donnie! English!" "Just get to the point already!" "I was JUST getting to that. We need you to accompany us to some governmental parties this year. They host four parties each year. One of us will accompany you and we need you to speak for us and claim our innocence." "But you aren't innocent! I-" You felt the Odachi go closer to your throat. "Hold your tongue." "Precisely, Complaints of the people to the government make us a target. So much so that they arranged an elite super force or a group of highly trained professionals after us." "We ain't getting anythin' done when we knows a buncha' creeps watchin' us!" "Do you think you can get the job done? It is pretty fun!" Your boss looked at you apologetically.

You nodded and the Odachi was pulled away and you took a sigh of relief.. What did you get yourself into.?

Guys. Monkey king doesn't know

If Monkey king truly doesn't know why he keeps going back to MK's rock when looking for Mk in the scroll, then he doesn't know it's MK'S rock.

If he doesn't know its MK's rock, then he doesn't know that MK came from the same rock he did.

Then he doesn't know the MK is also a stone monkey.

If he doesn't know MK is a stone monkey, then he has no idea why MK is turning into a monkey

He Doesn't Know

Monkey king: - but it's fine!. You look like you're doing f-fine.

Like like. I always thought this moment was like when you're watching over a kid and the kid hits their head and the kid is crying and you're trying to calm them down while trying not to freak out yourself because you don't Actually Know if they're okay yet. Like, that's how I think Monkey King feels in that moment because he doesn't know what's wrong with MK (he has No Clue Why MK is glitching into a monkey!!) and doesn't want to freak him out more.

He has no idea that MK is turning into a Monkey because he came from the same stone that Wukong did.

MK: I don't know what's happening to me Monkey King: we can figure it out after this! But we gotta deal with the now first!

"We can figure it out after this"

He. Doesn't. Know

And he doesn't get any time to figure it out!

Ink curse: Nice of you to join us, bud! Ya know none of this would have happened without you, right?

That's all he gets before the Monkie Crew shows up!

And then the next time the curse is talking about Mk's monkey form is how MK is "a demon destined to bring destruction, a harbinger of chaos", which honestly I'm not even 100% sure the others even heard any of that or if MK was the only one who could hear it considering we don't get to see any of the others react to what the ink curse says.

But nothing the ink says tells monkey king anything about where MK came from or what he really is!!!

I don't know if he'll even connect the fact that he ended up near the area where he kept going back to rock, because MK's fight with the curse kinda destroyed the area and I'm not even sure if they're on the same mountain top!

So Monkey king can't even put the pieces together that MK is connected to the stone!

All he knows is that he gave this wonderful good kid his powers and now the kid is being turned into a monkey and the ink curse is using tha to hurt MK

Ink MK: Ya know this never would have happened without you, right?!

Guys... he's gonna think Mk is turning into a monkey because he made Mk his successor and gave him his powers

Yuugo holds tea parties for the younger GF kids and anyone else who wants to join in

(He first did it in an attempt to distract them when Emma was still in a coma recovering and they were sad)

OUGH very cute indeed this is 100% canon in my mind.

In addition to reassurances from Anna, Don, Gilda, and Nat, Yuugo's words would keep them grounded with his steadfast conviction that Emma would pull through and Ray would return within three weeks, even with the latter happening and Emma still not having woken up yet.

(Chapter 58)

The youngest were already so keen on being around him even before his turn around that I feel like it wouldn't take much convincing to get them on board with the first one.

Assuming Yuugo doesn't fix the cup he was sipping air from before this a second time, I wonder if he would automatically include it among his set-up or if the kids would notice and insist on setting another place to honor Dina and the rest of the group from Glory Bell. If the latter, Yuugo would surely be touched and be one of many instances where he can't stop himself from thinking a combination of just how good these kids are and how he's grateful he's alive to participate in this.

The older Grace Field kids wouldn't take much prompting to join either, with the exception of Gilda. She was ready to follow through on her threat to blow up the shelter after seeing Ray didn't return with them and Emma was in critical condition.

(Chapter 96)

But once she understands the situation, she's quick to adapt so Emma's life can be saved.

Still, there's probably a bit of awkwardness once everything's calmed down. I love the thought of the younger kids pulling her into either the first or second one and her being a bit hesitant, but Yuugo, handling it with grace and without drawing much attention to why that might be, hands her a cup with a small but kind smile. She accepts it with a smile of her own.

Understandably, there's more focus on his relationships and dynamics with Emma and Ray, but I love whenever creators focus on his relationship with Don and Gilda considering the four of them maybe have…two or three months at the shelter with him and Lucas before they're killed compared to the rest of the kids who stay behind? Same with Zack and Violet.

(Mystic Code Book Chapter 7; the timeline's a little fuzzy on how much time they spend at the bunker between the East and West expeditions.)

Love a bunkerman getting to know and spend time with all his kids. Naturally, this extends to all of them participating in a tea party at some point. There's not enough cups from the set him and Lucas brought from Glory Bell, but if the shelter doesn't have any spare sets, they make due with what they have since it's not the type of cups that matter, but that they're all taking time to enjoy these little moments of happiness with one another in the new home and family they've made for themselves.

Other odd thoughts:

• I'm not sure whether it's funnier to have the kids teach Yuugo proper tea party etiquette or if he surprises them with his knowledge on the subject based on what he learned back at Glory Bell or what he read in some books in the bunker library. (Over the course of thirteen years, he might have come across something, but put the books down upon coming across those passages because at the time, it was too painful. Now he has a reason to go back and read them.) • Gillian would 110% be on board for pulling out all the stops for this and along with Pepe would be stepping up the dessert game. • Pepe would also have his own assortment of tea blends to share, along with Lucas and Paula. • We see Paula eating with the rest of the group in chapter 98

so the ritual of eating with Adam shown in the chapter 92 bonus sketch might have been left at Goldy Pond, but on some occasions where she seeks out a more quiet spot to enjoy her tea, Adam ends up accompanying her.

A week after your.. encounter with 4 of New York City's most wanted criminals.. You were currently walking down a hallway of one of the Genius Built™ buildings. It glowed purple.. (Due to the LED's) "Why do i have feeling we're.." Donatello cut you off.. "Underground? We are. This wasn't my only choice but it was the easiest to create. I was also thinking volcano, underwater, abandoned library.. but those are still in progress." He didn't spare you a glance as he tapped away on his gauntlet with a smug grin. "Why am i here again?" Donnie glared at you as you asked your question. "Scoff, Did you not read my very detailed email i sent you?" You remember receiving it.. though, it was LONG.. so you decided, what's the harm in ignoring it? "You're here to gather information about us to plead our innocence to the public. In return we're helping your company. Let's hope your boss wasn't lying when she said you could manage." You looked at him, he was wearing a black turtle neck under a white button up shirt with a few buttons unbuttoned and tucked into a high-waisted pants paired with black boots and a few chains hanging from his pants. You looked up to see he had purple eyes with goggles, one colored red and the other colored blue. (I WILL DRAW THIS WHEN I HAVE THE TIME) You enter a room, purple couch, big TV, circular table in the middle which had a screen built in it.. and a rug with the Genius Built™ logo on it. Donatello smirked. "Hold your applause." You just sat down. "So, how are we gonna do this?" Donatello looked at you and sat down the other side of the couch. "What do you want to know?" "Why do you sell deadly weapons to criminals? to the black market.?" You looked at him and he was typing away at the built in screen on the table. "It's not my fault my clients were criminals. I'm not responsible for anything they use it for." You sighed. "You made it didn't you?" His (drawn on) Eyebrows perked up a bit. "I didn't know they were gonna use it to harm anyone. Therefore, out of my control." He says it as if he didn't care if they were criminals or not. But he was right. .. "That's not helping!!" You grabbed a pillow and shoved your face in it..He just shrugged and continued typing away.. You started thinking.. You spent hours thinking of anything. ANYTHING to help him. Hours of laying in different positions, walking and pacing around.. You were stressing at this point. You were hugging a pillow before someone placed a cup of coffee infront of you. You turned to your side to see Donatello sipping his own coffee, you take a sip of yours and smiled before covering your mouth to spit it out.. WHY WAS IT SO BITTER?! Donatello must have saw you cause you heard a light chuckle. You turned to look at him, he was..smiling.? Well, he wasn't looking at you anymore. His gaze back on the built-in screen on the table. "Bitter? There's creamer and sugar in the kitchen." He gestures to the door on the left without sparing you a glance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- At this point you were looking through his criminal records.. and WOW.. you were distracted by a voice. "Still going at it?" He asks. You were angrily looking at the folder like if you glare hard enough at it you'll find something... You checked the time. 11pm..?! "You'll be sleeping here. You can talk to Leo tomorrow." You paused and looked at him. "You didn't think you could've told me that earlier?" Donatello just shrugged. "I didn't want to break your focus." You sighed. "S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. will escort you to your temporary quarters." An adorable purple drone with a head and face waved at you with its... arms? hover things? and the robot lead the way to your room. It was kinda decent!. A bed, night stand, mini fridge, TV, a few books. You were going to enjoy it to it's fullest. i have so many thoughts about gohan and goten its kind of unreal

#and what am i gonna do... write about it? get serious #what can i say i love siblings in media :(#gohan who hardly got a childhood and spent it solely around people twice his age and maturing way faster #than he should have and then his dad dies (again) and he has to take care of his mom and his new baby brother #and he is 10!#and goten who got to experience peace thanks to his mystical legendary warrior of a dad and everyone tells him he looks like him and #how amazing and great he was and all he grows up seeing is the damage done to his family and then BOOM he just. comes back.#and listen i love goku okay im not a goku is a terrible father believer. he loves his family. but hes not a good dad by any means #gohan is trying to grow up while taking care of his mom and making sure his little brother never has to go through anything like he did #and at least goten has trunks! the only same aged friend gohan gets is dende and thats only because #hes off on a space mission at SIX YEARS OLD??? and then he gets his fucking neck broken and almost DIES #i could keep going.
