Chaos (Vincent Valentine) and Darkness (Nero the Sable). I have long wanted to depict their epic confrontation. Similar and so different, and both devoted to their loved one.

Nero: A pleasure to finally meet you, Vincent.

Vincent: Nero.

Nero: At first, I thought you nothing more than a nuisance. However, it seems I can no longer let you run about unchained. I must protect my beloved brother.

Vincent: Your brother?

Nero: Dear Weiss. Powerful Weiss. The only person who ever loved me. And the only person I will ever love.

Nero and Vincent - Harbingers of Chaos

If it wasn't obvious Nero and Vincent/Chaos are connected in some way, Rebirth ensures that you don't miss it. Galian Beast's Chaos Glaives are visually quite similar to Nero's Chaotic Pulsars. In general, both use very similar attacks with the exception of Nero using magic to absorb your character's HP whereas Galian never takes HP, but rather uses physical violence.

Nero taunting Yuffie about retrieving Sonon's body is also very telling that we're going back to Deepground in part 3. Whatever their reasoning for showing the parallels between Nero and Galian/Vincent, I think it's safe to say there will be some plot point in part 3. Seeing as Sephiroth desires to concentrate all of the corrupt Lifestream and take it for himself, (and this is a similar function that Nero/Chaos have), it wouldn't surprise me if Sephiroth would try to utilize them in some way, be it great or small. They are, after-all, harbingers of chaos.
