and rereading windwitch and getting vivia's point of view and how she interacts with serafin, it's just. shit. this is such a well-written depiction of emotional abuse. vivia is desperate for her father's love and approval, and he seems to give it to her -- and then wrench it from her in turn. and she's left to make up excuses as to why, to fill in the gaps with what she must have done or said wrong. she knows he means best for her, he must mean best for her, surely he loves her and favors her, surely if she can be just like him then she can keep his favor and never disappoint him again, never lose his fickle favor again -- surely if he's angry at her it's because she failed him, that she wasn't good enough, she must have made some kind of mistake.

serafin never raises a hand to vivia. he never has to.

"Do Anjaane" was produced by Tito and directed by Dulal Guha. It's adapted from Nihar Ranjan Gupta's story "Rater gari." The film features a star-studded cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Prem Chopra, Pradeep Kumar, Utpal Dutt, Lalita Pawar, and a young Mithun Chakraborty before his rise to fame. This film inspired remakes in other languages, with "Maavari Manchitanam" in Telugu (1979) and "Aaseya Bale" in Kannada (1987).

The screenplay was written by Shafiq Ansari and Nabendu Ghosh, based on Gupta's story. The cinematography was handled by M. Rajaram, and Bimal Roy was responsible for the editing. The music, a critical aspect of the film, was composed by Kalyanji Anandji, with lyrics penned by Anjaan and Verma Malik.

although the nights are famously known for their beauty , the day in the night court is similarly lovely. it's a nice change of pace from the blistering winter storms that they constantly suffer in the winter court. but as the high family's resident anomaly , although clytemnestra would rather bask in the warmth of the day , she knows that her husband would rather sit in meetings and his brother would rather play with his little knives.

it became evident very quickly that neither brother was happy to have her join the family. that was simply too bad for them. as her family’s only daughter, clem had been deprived of the joy of a younger sibling and she was happy to take sorin as an answer to her childhood prayers six hundred and some odd years later. whether he wanted to be or not.

❝ sorin ! ❞ apparently having yet to learn her lesson with the younger nihar , she calls out , finding her brother-in-law doing exactly what she expects. that is: playing with his knife. ❝ have you eaten yet ? i think we should like to have lunch shortly. ❞

I decided to reread the Witchlands saga, since I read it years ago when only Windwitch was out, to catch up with the other books.

It was, and believe still is honestly, my favorite saga of all the time.

Rereding it now, it still fells like the first time, I love this books even more then the past, and I absolutely swear that IF SUSAN DOESN'T MAKE SAFI AND MERIK ENDGAME AT THE END OF THE BOOKS AND DON'T GIVE THEM THE ✨HAPPY ENDING✨ THEY DESERVE I'M GOING TO BURN MYSELF & THIS BOOK (together yeah 😩) BECAUSE I CAN'T LIVE SUFFERING🚶‍♀️, BUT EVEN IN DEATH I WOULDN'T WANT TO BE SEPARATED FROM THEM! 😭
