it was my birthday yesterday: predicting my 23rd year based on my solar return chart
i think this is fun to do, so feel free to comment or reblog what you think will happen this year to me based on my chart, while i make my own predictions for my solar return chart. feel free to treat this as a solar return observation post! perhaps next year i will come back and see if my predictions were correct!
first things first i have to point out this is a 2023/2024 chart i always get funny looks for this but hi i turned 23 on october 27th, 2023 (this year my solar return starts the 28th because of the eclipse - i suspect) why would i look at a 2024 solar return that takes place october 27th, 2024 - i would be 24 then? so from this point on EVEN WHEN WE ARE IN 2024 i will be referring to the 2023 chart for the solar return year. make sure you verify your stuff before looking at your solars.
Tumblr media
1H IN LIBRA AT 12° (contains: scorpio sun and narcissus (37117))
prediction: there is likely to be a relational focus this year and with venus (the house ruler) in the 12h it is likely to be with myself (what us my relationship with my self? how can i better treat myself? etc). my diplomacy skills are likely not going to be the best as i look at the 10h/11h, what is sitting in those houses, and that pisces degree on my 1h... with my scorpio sun present in the house, it is likely that it will be obvious that i trust no one this year (people may suspect that i only trust myself - they could feel as though i look down on them or think little of them). my sun is opposite my moon so i might feel a bit disconnected from myself... with my sun in the 1h, i will likely have a super intense vibe (not that i don't already) but in a way that seems like magnetism because it is a libra 1h? like drawing others in? i do feel like this year is going to be the sort where i am discovering who i am and who i want to be (i just have to make sure it doesn't get out of hand with the sun and narcissus (especially with his conjunction to my sun, mercury, and mars) present).
2H IN SCORPIO AT 9° (contains: scorpio mercury, mars, and kassandra (114) AND sagittarius educatio (2440) and pythia (432))
prediction: what an interesting mix of stuff i have here... money makes the world go round this year i guess. my mercury is at 9° and my mars is at 11° - can i just cry a little...? bro wtf is bitcoin and why do i feel like i am gonna get into the world of online investing...? the coupling of these two planets (especially mars as the 2h ruler) makes me feel as though i will be making money and spending it or moving it relatively quick so that i can't use it? i say "i can't use it" because my mars opposes jupiter which makes me think of compounding interest like a CD... anywho, i am a money wizard? i have kassandra and pythia here, so i feel like i will probably make investments and use my money in unexpected ways (kassandra makes me think of emergency funds OR bad financial contracts though). i also have educatio here so at least i will be learning more about financial literacy plus i do think with mercury i will be extremely interested in learning more about finances. and with mars... it might just become a new passion of mine... aside from money, while i am likely to continue a lot of giving and receiving of knowledge this next year on social media (mercury things), there is a danger to the realm of social media... ESPECIALLY with mars present and both mercury and mars conjunct my sun then all three opposing jupiter... my self worth could take a hit which i do not look forward to.
3H IN SAGITTARIUS AT 10° (contains: sagittarius ambrosia (193), asclepius (4581), cupido (763), jormungandr (471926) rx, lev tolstoj (2810), and zeus (5731) AND capricorn aphrodite (1388) and chekhov (2369))
prediction: sagittarius and 10° for the 3h is giving "it's all fun and games until someone says/mentions ____". i have to be mindful of my mouth because while i am likely to make people feel alive with my words given ambrosia and asclepius in this house, i also have chekhov (where you want simplicity but receive drama), aphrodite, and jormungandr (where people try to end you - aka getting socially outcasted/cancelled) in the 3h... but lev tolstoj is here too so whatever i am saying that offends others or makes them mad is facts even though there is drama/gossip involved when i do say these things... the dangers of social media part 2? i feel like it may be romantic drama because zeus (i am not a zeus person because there are no aspects to the sun or asc - only a square is made from this asteroid to my venus), cupido, and aphrodite (and for aphrodite there are no aspects made to my inner planets this solar return - so it is definitely not me doing something sus like cheating) are here in the house too. i do have my suspicions as to what is happening already... and oh shiiii will it hurt because 10° is always a bit painful in my opinion. especially with the house ruler in the 8h... it just looks like emotional damage...
4H IN CAPRICORN AT 14° (contains: capricorn pluto, balder (4059), and bellerophon (1808)
prediction: a lot of my astro friends who see this chart are like "oh are you moving?" and i am like ABSOLUTELY NOT. like i literally just moved so no. unfortunately (i hate to be this person) i do believe a beloved family member (4h balder conjunct pluto and square moon) will be passing this year. even more unfortunate - i do not think it will be an easy death with bellerophon present because he was thrown from pegasus... and not to be super disgusting, but i do believe i will inherit something expensive and very material given the earthy grand trine formed by pluto, venus, and uranus. that being said i feel like i might neglect my mental health because pluto squares my moon - i might stopping going to therapy (currently i see a therapist regarding my childhood ptsd). i might regress into people pleasing behaviors because it is all that i will be able to control if someone in my family passes... which is not the healthiest for me.
5H IN AQUARIUS AT 17° (contains: pisces saturn, amor (1221) rx, and karma (3811))
prediction: this seems like a good mix for me achieving something big with writing/blogging. especially because saturn is the traditional ruler of aquarius and capricorn (which is home - the work i do from home, a side hustle). my outlook for romance is not too good with amor in retrograde in this house nor with freedom loving aquarius ruling this house. not to mention i feel like the world will be showing me something that will cause me to have a grudge against love (saturn) and karma will be dished out. this could also be a sign that my childhood trauma could be triggered again with saturn in the 5h too (great).
6H IN PISCES AT 17° (contains: pisces neptune rx, AND aries heracles (5143) rx and salacia (120347) rx)
prediction: i appreciate the that neptune is retrograde in this pisces house... last thing i wanted was for my health, routine, or hygiene to be confusing/frustrating, avoided, or to constantly be behind / running late / neglected. so this is fine by me. i might be obsessive with scheduling, health, and hygiene because jupiter (this house's other ruler) is in the 8h. it seems like the job hunt is at a standstill with heracles in retrograde - instead, i might get one great option that i take and stick to with given salacia in retrograde.
7H IN ARIES AT 12° (contains: aries nn, chiron rx, part of fortune, pandora (55) rx, and signe (459) rx AND taurus moon and vertex)
prediction: it's a toss up as to what all this could mean. i could find myself in a very emotionally charged connection (this is the eclipse moon after all) - with chiron rx it could be the healing of past wounds. the combination of vertex, part of fortune, and north node dictates that any relationship/partnership i find myself in could be extremely significant. with pandora here i feel like it might be unexpected where this relationship will come from. WITH SIGNE HERE i feel like some people may look down on who i this person is...
8H IN TAURUS AT 9° (contains: taurus jupiter rx and uranus rx)
prediction: oof not my 8h ruler in the 12h - what's that screaming i hear lol? maybe i will be afraid of change - i mean that because of the 12h venus and jupiter retrograde... the combination doesn't really express embracing change and the unknown, you know? the uranus retrograde makes me think i will be moving away from shared finances and working on managing my own money. i definitely believe it is for the best that i keep my opportunities to myself... i don't get the sense people will be supportive of my wins - i more so sense the envy of others from this house. i don't think i will be shocked by my successes, but i feel like others will not see it coming...
9H IN GEMINI AT 10° (contains: gemini midas (1981) AND cancer arachne (407) and odysseus (1143))
prediction: mmmm the contemplation to go back to school is real this coming year. it's weird because it might not be for my MFA? like the 9h midas sextile chiron is giving paralegal? nursing? idk but it's not feeling literary oriented... especially with cancer arachne present, i feel like that is nursing/medical-esque... alternatively, midas can be extreme change then add in odysseus, the traveler - i could be going on a trip that changes my life entirely.
10H IN CANCER AT 14° (contains: cancer ajax (1404), hannibal (2152), and loke (4862) AND leo agamemnon (911) and arthur (2597))
prediction: it's a REAL toss up how this house will manifest. i feel like sometimes people will love me and find my presence comforting and other times they will hate me and be annoyed by me. this is thanks to the moon ruler in the 7h... and ajax (who squares my chiron)... and agamemnon (who squares my moon)... i say ajax because i think of my 3h this year - i am falling on my own sword in that regard for sure because not everyone will like what i have to say especially when it is likely to be true (3h sag is starting to remind me of a verbal burn). while people are likely to look up to me (10h arthur AND hannibal) or be forced to - because of my status, they are likely to despise me for what i say/said (7h moon AND mercury and jupiter (3h ruler) square arthur). meanwhile, it might not even be me who is the problem i just look like the bad guy for making it more apparent like loki (10h loke).
11H IN LEO AT 17° (contains: leo charybdis (388), helena (101), and hestia (46) AND virgo beowulf (38086), juno (3), lacrimosa (208), and silentium (2710))
prediction: i feel like my popularity is going to be a thing / where i am on the social status food chain (high up). but i don't believe i can trust anyone this year... i feel like i am likely to reach big social media milestones with beowulf in this house (and this house being in leo at 17°) - social media might even take over my life a little bit (11h charybis). i do feel like friendships will be very love hate with juno and hestia here - i am likely to be a moderator of sorts but with helena here i feel like someone is going to accuse me of being disloyal because of how i am likely to moderate without bias. i might find myself truly alone again this year because of it (11h lacrimosa and silentium).
12H IN VIRGO AT 17° (contains: virgo venus)
prediction: greatttt i thought we were passed this but i guess not.... looks like i still need to work on my self esteem... intuitively, i don't sense social media is going to be kind to me, and i really hope that doesn't mean here. like i am okay if it is instagram (that app is dying anyway) but like here and tiktok are my favorite apps to be in. when bullying is involved though and it is consistent, there is a limitation to that favoritism in which it becomes apprehension to stay for something like a social media in comparison to showing up for myself. there could also be delusions in romance with this set up - i could experience over thinking in a romantic connections with that 12h virgo venus too. karmic relationships are highly probable with this placement too. OR it could be an ex becoming an enemy too (unknown enemies my a$$)...

GODS AND HOW THEY AFFECT PEOPLE PT 2
PLEASE REBLOG IF YOU ENJOYED IM SO TIRED
Okay, so we established this is a possibility that they associate and gift their talents and eyes to people living. If you haven't seen that post it's on my master list/pinned post.
Gotta thank @i-would-marry-thunderhead though they didn't try they helped me find a missing piece on what I was looking for.
More thanks to @medusa12346 and @tulatodivine for helping me find the click to read more thing, I'm new so😶
It's not random. As planets rule zodiacs, it's know some gods rule them, and it's not just planets as not all mythology and religion is based on planetary stuff. For example, if Ares rules mars and Mars rules Aries. People with Aries in their chart are gifted some of the small things Ares has.
So here are the planets and what they rule along with some things the gods may gift you Greek and Roman style. If you would like other gods please ask I'm not well versed in many others it's been a while since I've researched.
Links (minor searching sorry it's late I also may have to finish readings tommorow though I do have to go somewhere so sorry): Wikipedia gods and planets ruling with this link there is also more religions and gods with planets so if you're interested look into it.
More on the planets and gods in longer versions
What zodiacs the planets rule
Let me clarify Wikipedia is not always trustworthy but my research will be short tonight.
Preferably they will be within the big 3 but there are also minor things to look into I can't remember all of a sudden I REMEMBER
Basically depending on if it's the sun, moon, or ascendant. These emotions could come out at certain times or moments
SUN:
Apollo seems to be talked about with the sun but it also looked like Helios was the main with Apollo helping out at times or more often so they'll both be here ig: like said they rule the sun and the sun rules Leo (guessed it lol ily guys) some gist given to you Leo charted people you may be gifted with the ability to partially know if something is a 'yes or no' you may get deja Vu at times as signs from Apollo. You are also of course gifted with the ability to look good in gold. Other things could be his beauty, tanned skin, gut senses, nice legs, running and etc I can't remember
From Helios you may be gifted with good sight and vision, strong feet I feel idk?, And so far strong connection to growing things (will maybe add more if found)
OKAY this is gonna be a while.
MOON:
Artemis and Selene (of course her) rule over the moon which rules over Cancer. Possible talents and gifts are animal connections, animal eyes watching over you as companions, medical knowledge, natural medicines also, Excellence in athletics Kirk archery and stuff to do with jumping.
Selene gifts you oohhh it's possible you could slide some Helios gifts here to because they're siblings apparently. I see youth, strong arms, strength (not overboard remember), elegant style in clothing, and the moons watch during the night.
To clarify, there also things to think of like planet aspects and fuck the numbers the tilt or some shit uhyy yeah that will tell how strong these abilities may be.
MERCURY: all this got deleted guys ughhh
Hermes rules mercury which is both surprising and not. Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo (who is also associated with Chiron). Possible gifts include running, determination, medium abilities (determined by what I stayed above also on strength), probably funny ass jokes. Fly, you're just gonna be fly af. Hermes was a very important god to me, he also signifies glory, domination, and success full filled to me so yeah. The ability to soother the people around you with either your voice or your touch, clear or nice voice.
VENUS: WHY ARE THERE 3 HERE?!!??!? I wanted to include the goddess Venus but we'll see😭
Aphrodite rules Venus understandably, Venus rules Taurus and Libra I believe. Possible talents and gifts are of course beauty, loved eyes, this so kind weird but musical talent, telepathy (little), birds as helpers (as in messengers to the clouds or many realms), possible skill for design.
I saw a name called cypris but I'm not sure that's true I looked into it just a bit and found someone named Cypress I don't know if they're related but I believe it's possible? Other names are Cyparissus or Kyparissos. They were liked or loved by Apollo. It's not big but what I read was interesting.
There was also a Cytherea, this was probably an alias or second name given or that of Aphrodite, knowing this there was also a place called Cyprus which leads me to believe Cypris was another alias or typo.
MARS:
As talked about before. Most of us know they rules over Mars, mars rules over Aries. Possible gifts could include determination (he may have been a little cowardly which makes sense as an Aries sun with my shyness), strength, talent in art or drawing idk why I just feel that, piano (also applies to Sagittarius ppl honestly), understanding languages also possibly? Crafty with tools and objects, tactic smart in small ways.
JUPITER:
I saw the name Dias which I wasn't sure on, Dias I believe is another alias and modern name for Zeus. Zeus rules Jupiter and Jupiter rules Sagittarius so thats also no surprise. Gifts and talents may be swimming, science, young literature and old, an eye for good things, blessings through touch (more on a topic I'll bring up later not strong here), dancing, hunting, generosity, a promise of children. I feel many people with Zeus or Ares in their chart may have been accused as witches in those centuries. (Random) that'd all I get right now
FOUR MORE
SATURN:
It said Cronus, I knew him as chronos (hit chronological order) which may have been wrong. He can go by that cronos, or kronos. He rules Saturn and Saturn rules Capricorn which also is understandable with relations between them. Talents and gifts may include: I feel like y'all may have thought you were telekinetic when you were younger💀, I see ginger hair here also, sticky fingers (stealth), time control (as in good with keeping time on track), perception of lies (the man was fooled right? True but I feel it's still smth small), faithfulness (also crazy uh), a gift of great smell, good taste in food choices, I feel like he raised a bunch of hand holders 💕💕 idk why I just do. That's all here
URANUS:
It says Ouranos which makes me think of Ouran highschool host club for some reason, I really would like a season 2. But it's funny cause I didn't know him and he seems pretty interesting though it seems like a minor role if he's the heavens personified that's some big stuff. He rules Uranus which rules Aquarius, possible talents and gifts could be (BLINDING LIGHTS IS PLAYING THIS IS GOOD UGHH I LOVE THIS SONG) alright back to it. Talents like, singing, clairaudience, intuitiveness, a love for curiosity and knowledge, liked skin and proportions, natural attraction, believable, natural leader when younger though maybe not as grown idk.
NEPTUNE:
Of course ruled by Poseidon. Idk why I still add the planets it's the thing above🤦🏽‍♀️ I just make this harder on myself. Neptune rules Pisces. Gifts and talents could be creativity, building, imagination, pull towards earth, swimming, attraction to people also (in a way that your looks capture people as Pisces is beautifully soft), strong senses of the eyes and ears, technology, either quiet or loud voice.
PLUTO:
The official one for Greeks is Hades, there was a name before called Plouton or Ploútōn another name for Hades. Pluto rules Scorpio, also guessed. Gifts and talents may be excelling in curricular concepts like philosophy, leadership (you guys can lead double lives but you're good rulers ngl kinda manipulative at them tho), you guys could probably background check me through connections with ppl lol, people confide in you often this is good cause I feel you feel loved by this, risk takers (Hades is kinda 'out of the circle' which leads to thoughts that Scorpios like to explore and be chaotic because of this at times they're finally free on earth), down to earth or way up high one way or another no in-between, natural ideas that people can't help but fall for, the ability to be unnoticed when wanted, stealthy, quick under pressure. you guys make this world more enjoyable over all there's not much ik you guys are just amazing to me for some reason.
END
that's all there but more to add on are things like blood line theory, if you are a natural descendant of a god (not by literal blood just chosen exactly by them) then there's a chance your abilities will be stronger and you will make a more greater imprint on the world. Not all of these were used for good. They cna be used to any advantage.
I believe asteroids also have something to do with the gods so if you would like to hear something on that please ask!
All in all this post took about 2 hours and 30 mins or close which isn't bad. Sorry if anything was missed and please share your ideas on this I love hearing them!
Coming back to say I'm surprised Hera wasn't here I was looking forward to her

On houses, house rulerships & how ya'll should stop associating them with signs + a rant on the meaning of the 8th house
This is one of those moments where I'm going to say (read: rant, so heads up, I may sound pretentious) that modern times keep distorting astrology. I’m talking about associating houses with signs/planets (aka the “12 letter alphabet”, briefly mentioned by William Lilly in the 17th century but ultimately it became a product of modern astrologers: first attempted by Alan Leo and decades later popularized and named by Zip Dobyns). Can we just... use a neuralyzer and make people forget that method? It's ingrained in people's minds because, seemingly, it's easier to learn that way - search astro basics in google and you'll see things like "9th house=Sagittarius=Jupiter". This compressed version of astrology seems more accessible and easily digestible for a casual reader and not many newbies try to even question that approach. But there's a reason reputable astrologers these days are trying to erase it from everyone's minds. Signs are traits, planets are vessels, houses are areas of life. Houses are a completely different thing + every person has their own chart with their own house rulers. You can't say Mars is the “natural” ruler of the 1st... well unless, of course, you're an Aries rising, then yeah, your 1st is ruled by Mars, 2nd by Venus and so on.
Sure, some houses share accidental similarities with planets that have been assigned to them by modern *cough*lazy*cought* approach. Example, the 3rd rules communication... oh and so does Mercury. But then again, Mercury has nothing to do with health, injuries, work - all things 6th house. 7th is relationships and 2nd is money & values... and it so happens that Venus shows our attitude towards these things. I would sometimes find myself loosely refer houses to planets, like “oh the 3rd mercurial house” just because SOME of them do fit with the characteristics... and because it's a language that is well-understood (I won't do that anymore). BUT even when I started learning astrology, I had a red light go on in my head when people would straight up go "Moon in Virgo or Moon in the 6th". It never made sense to me. These are completely different things. And I've seen some awesome astrologers who would state things like "oh Aquarius Sun is basically the same as Sun in the 11th", like nah, dude. Because why? Aquarius is the friendly type and the 11th rules friends? Because Aquarius is the big innovator and 11th stands for hopes and dreams? But Aquarius is also a rebel who's stiff in their beliefs. Aquarius is a weirdo, is the 11th house the house of weirdos? No. Aquarius likes to be independent and usually has issues with feeling of not belonging anywhere, while 11th rules communities. THAT'S CONTRADICTORY. Because they're not the same.
Want more examples? Having Venus in Aries is completely different than Venus in the 1st. What do people usually say about Venus in the 1st? That it makes the native charming, lovely, well-put together, with great manners, maybe beautiful, graceful, maybe a bit shallow. When in Aries? None of these characteristics fit, on top of that, it's in its detriment. Our poor gal Venus is uncomfortable and confused in Aries. She's like, "conquer? Swords? Selfishness? Obnoxiousness? Sparring? You're telling me to fight people? What am I doing here???"
I think it most shows in the 8th house, which... *deep breath* has gone through so much (ironically since it rules transformation), like, there's a lot to unpack here. "tHe sCorPioNic HoUse": tell me in what way does Scorpio have to do with inheritance, death, taxes, other people's stuff? These are the og topics associated with the 8th house. And by the way, it doesn't have to be a material inheritance, because I saw people being confused by that. You can have your 10th house ruler in the 8th so maybe you'll inherit that job as a chairman in your father's corporation, along with its renowned name. Or your 6th house ruler is in the 8th so you'll inherit a genetic health condition from your parent.
Now, modern astrology, as per usual, tried to turn it into something positive (and psychological because apparently according to modern notion, astrology can’t predict anything so it’s only psychological *eye roll*) and put its rose-colored glasses on it so they'll say things like: transformation or taboo topics - like okay, makes sense, it's an intense house after all. Like a near-death experience or a metaphorical death will be transformative and maybe hard to talk about. And Scorpios do have the tendency to go through drastic situations in their lives and to dig deep & not being afraid to uncover secrets and all that's unknown and scary for others. There you have it, some convergence. But still, Scorpio and the 8th house are two different things.
Then there's the topic of the 8th house and sex. Actually, side note, a quick history bit, the 2nd century astrologer, Vettius Valens saw sex in the 7th house - because that was the thing that happened after marriage - it represented two people coming together. In medieval times it then moved to 5th house of kids - because children-making requires intercourse, duh. Listen, I get that the 8th, as the follow-up to the 7th, is seen as joined resources; and joined everything, including bodies... or bodily fluids... (tmi?) after you get married or whatever. I don't think that makes sense in the modern times. I mean, go ahead if you want to associate the 8th with sex but after some time of studying astrology, I see it almost exclusively in the 5th as it's the house of pleasures. Simply. Besides, technically you can get yourself off and don’t need anyone else to assist you. My issue, again, comes from the root of the association with the 8th. Modern astrologers started linking 8th with Pluto and Scorpio in medical astrology rules reproductive system and so Scorpio is seen as the fReAky sEx dEMon blAh blaH (honestly, try asking Scorpios about their intimate life and they'll run for the hills abashed). So it turned out that 8th house is the "plutonian one" (I had a moment today wondering if it's plutonian or plutonic and idk anymore) so therefore it must rule sex. Well that logic doesn't make sense because everyone knows that the first and most important planet in the matters of sex is Mars but none of ya'll go and say "1st house is the house of sex because it's ruled by Aries". So no, houses are not the same as signs/planets.
12th house has a similar issue. This one has literally nothing to do with Pisces. Like, I feel bad for Pisces honestly, you guys don’t deserve being dumped into the 12th. It's a rather gloomy house and the most positive thing you could come up with it is being the house of imagination and intuition - because it rules the subconscious and partially your mind. And Pisces is usually characterized by those two. Or you could say that they're both kinda foggy in nature - 12th is the unattainable. But that is literally the closest you can get with them correlating. Other than that, 12th is hidden enemies, succlusion, illness (but mental or chronic, it's a bit different than 6th). There's nothing piscean about it really.
But I get it, open most of the astrology books and you'll see chapters called that way. Why? Because it's easier to publish something that's shorter aka simpler for the reader (actually that was one of Dobyns' reasoning behind spreading that approach). That’s why I said it’s lazy. And someone would argue that it’s easier to learn this way - because the information is compressed into 12 sections (signs) instead of 24 (signs+houses) or even more if you include delineations of every house ruled by each sign. Like, “well if I memorize the meaning of Cancer and Moon then automatically I’ll also memorize the 4th house”. But in fact, it’s so limiting in the long run and then forces you to unlearn what you have learnt, which is actually harder than taking the time and grasping the proper meaning right away. And again, with time it warps the meaning of everything.
Saying house=sign completely discredits the purpose of even having houses. And then on top of that it leads to people not understanding their own charts because they don't know the core meanings of the houses and instead look at them through the lens of signs. "I have planets in Gemini but I'm not that talkative and extroverted". Well okay, where are those planets? Are they in the 7th? Then maybe they're not talking about you but about people you come in contact with? Are they in the 4th? Well maybe it's your fam that has those qualities? The 11th? Are your friends like that? Houses are areas of your life, you can't say "Moon in the 3rd or Moon in Gemini" - Moon is "how", house is "where" - these are not the same things, even if they have a few traits in common.
Ok, rant over, bye.

Hi Scorp! I just have to tell you I've been on this site for a while and I'm so glad to come across someone's page that breaks astrology down so succinctly and in a fun and personal way. I wish more people we like you- you're a gem! I'd like to get started too and want to know in your opinion what the signs of a good astrologer are and how one can become one? Your help is as always so appreciated! I really admire you!
Thank you, love- Good Question
Signs of A Good Astrologer
1. They Understand Multiple Systems
Now, not every astrologer will use them. Some are more comfortable with Vedic, others Placidus, some Quadrant or Draconic and a few Horary or Equal House. Regardless, they’ll be able to entertain all kinds even if they subscribe to another/one in particular.
2. They Can Read A Natal Wheel
I know this may sound like a given but some folks who get into astrology just use a calculator or generator to pull up aspects and chart patterns. They won’t actually look at the wheel and see where planets land or how to work their way around the circle. They may not understand the red lines from the green or blue. It’s important to not only rely on a calculator but understand the wheel as a blueprint. You can catch many things and see many aspect patters [T-Squares, Grand Trines Yods, etc] with the naked eye. The natal wheel is the birth chart in its raw form. Anyone studying anything must begin with the basics. The wheel, fresh-faced is the best place to start. From there, the 101′s of Astrology become easier to grasp
3. They Do Not Rely On One  App Alone
The sign of any good astrologer [or anyone studying anything] is citing multiple sources and cross-referencing them. As we all know, technology, though an excellent modern tool is imperfect. It too can have glitches and miscalculations. For that reason, it’s important as an astrologer to at least have 2 to 3 calculators [including their own brain and hands] to break things down. This gives a better-rounded view of how charts work and can even introduce you to aspects you didn’t realize existed [parallels, contraparallels, etc]. Cafe Astrology is good for beginners but does not show you minor aspects [Quincunxes, sesquiquadrates, noviles or bi-quintiles] or chart patters like Astro.com does. Co-Star is good for millennials who are just starting and does a fantastic job of giving you a daily horoscope as well, but can really f-things up house-wise. [They are based out of NY and I rejected a job offer from them because of it.] Alabe.com is Ok but they make you input longitude and latitude which not everyone has access to and sometimes it just won’t take. Still, without cross-referencing you’d never know. Cast your net wide so you can get the best return.
4. They Understand Natal, Synastry, and Composite
While it’s important to understand how someone’s natal chart functions and relates to them as a person, or placements in general, we as Human Beings are social creatures. We operate in tribal, familial and unit systems. As a result, it’s important to know how people operate with each other as well as individually. A good astrologer will understand Synastry [aspects/energy between people] and Composite [midpoint and Davison, which is the Astrology of the relationship itself] in addition to Natal patterns.
5. They Have a Good Grasp of History
Mercury, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto? All names of Ancient God’s. When we understand the origins of these Planetary names, we can have a good grasp as to why they’re attributed to said planets/points. Modern planets are named after Roman Gods who all have ties to ancient Greece/India as well. When you understand the myths and stories you’ll already have a head start on why Venus is named after Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, since Venus rules love and what we appreciate. Mars [Aries] is the planet of war, sexual drive and action as is the Hellenistic/Roman God. Lilith is Adam’s first wife in Hebrew tradition and her hypothetical point in astrology embodies her traits. Make sense? Even the asteroids are named after minor gods and characters in the classics. Studying up on these can really help with understanding the planets as a whole.
6. They are Patient
Let’s face it, understanding astrology is not something that comes over night. It is also quite difficult to find in-depth classes for the study. Because of this, it is important for you or any astrologer for that matter to take their time. Don’t rush. Some can spend a lifetime studying and never know all there is to know. I myself learn new things everyday that I share with you all on here. Take your time. Be patient. Astrology is deeply metaphorical, philosophical as well as mathematical. Some may have a stronger grasp with one than another [as a former humanities major, I personally detest math but I’ll be damned if that makes me give up- I keep trying]. A good astrologer will give themselves and others grace to really grasp the concepts they are learning and know that it is not a 24 our crash course.
Red Flags
With the good comes the bad/things many can work on to improve. The sign of an astrologer not living up to their full potential are:
1. Astrologers That Only Say Good Things About Your Sign
Let’s face it, astrology is not a study for those who like to sugar coat. The reality of life is that everything has a dark and light side. Just like every zodiac sign has positive and shadow traits. [Though I am a Scorpio and very loyal to my sign and people, I feel it necessary if I am to help others, to make them understand the under-developed traits of Plutonians/Martians in general.] You gotta keep it real. It is important to be honest. That is the only way to get to your sign’s final form. To understand what traits you/your sister signs/cousins are prone to.
2. Astrologers That Point Out Troublesome Placements Without Telling You How to Remedy Them
Big No-No. Astrology is about activism and altruism. It, by nature, is a study quite akin to Psychology. One of my heroes, Liz Greene actually based many of her astrological studies off Jungian psychology. And what is astrology if not psychology with a cosmic twist? ;). A good therapist will isolate your issues but the point in hiring them is for them to aid you in fixing the issues you’re struggling with, no? Same with a good astrologer. They’ll tell you when something is an issue, yes, but they will also give tips and pointers on how to handle the energy or steps to reconciling the energy within your self and others. If someone is simply pointing out that you’re a Capricorn with a Taurus moon and therefore, have pessimistic tendencies, but don’t tell you how to balance that, then they are not doing the best job they can for you.
3. Astrologers That Demonize a Single Sign or Placement
Or astrologers who are inherently judgmental about your tendencies [many Boomers unfortunately I’ve seen have a habit with this *sigh*]. This is also a No-No. Look, we are all entitled to our own opinion and there is dark and light in each astrological placement. But someone who says “all Pisceans are whiny-crybabies”, “all Virgos are obsessive compulsive critics” or “All Leos are egotistical cheaters” is not someone you want to take very seriously, lol. Sounds like these people got hurt by one of the above and as a result, have a war on everyone with these placements. By proxy, they use astrology to let out their frustrations which is a very twisted way to go about things. We all vibe with one sign or placement more than another of course, but even your fav may have a Mars placement in a sign you though you hated. It is best to be impartial and look at ALL aspects and ALL signs with fairness. The point of astrology is to understand. Once you understand someone or something it’s quite hard to be judgmental [if you’re really going about it with an open-mind]. Just like traveling or spending time with others different from you makes it impossible to be a racist or a bigot. Why? Because you took the time to really connect.
Anyone can become an astrologer with the right discipline and a good amount of grit and curiosity. I think you have the right attitude on how to go about it ;). Here are a few helpful resources to get you started:

Sebastian’s personality analyzed through his theory-crafted natal chart: The perspective of a professional astrologer.
PART ONE: SUN SIGN.
i apologize in advance to any capricorns i unintentionally read to filth in this post.
i think out of all the bachelors   &   bachelorettes, Sebastian has the oddest, most abrasive post-marriage dialogue. i’ve heard plenty of people over the years complain about how awkward being married to him is   &   i, myself, tend to not marry him when i play since locking him in pelican town like that when he so clearly wants to leave feels bad. even before marriage as well, he has a lot of almost cringey   &   certainly concerning dialogue. Sebastian’s not a man that’s made for marriage or long term relationships i think, at least not in his early to mid 20s which is how old i believe he is in canon. unlike the rest of the bachelors   &   bachelorettes, his character arc   &   development don’t do much for melding him into someone worth being with. even Shane who is troubled in a much more obvious way than Sebastian has more moments of reflection that convince the player that he’s a good person despite his flaws. Sebastian may seem to be gentle in his internal struggle, it’s easy to believe that, at most, he’s rude   &   depressed, but i think there’s a lot more to unpack here that suggests he’s violent, angry to an awful degree,   &   possibly the worst marriage candidate, if not just the worst townie out of the whole cast.
to start off with, i believe Sebastian’s sun sign is Capricorn. my reasoning for this is a blend between a post on reddit i found that used a simple algorithm to convert the in game dates to real dates. taking into account the slightly flawed method that gives each date 2-3 days worth of wiggle room,   “ january 17th ”   implies he’s on the Capricorn side of january. to be honest, when i was first thinking about what sun sign i wanted Sebastian to have, i was leaning towards Aquarius since he has several lines about escaping the town   &   wanting his freedom   ( both being very Aquarius-like qualities ),   however i think the case for Capricorn is much easier to make. to start off, i’ll give a run down of the most defining Capricorn characteristics, then i’ll move onto showing in-game examples of how Sebastian demonstrates these traits   ( while leaving room for his other natal positions that i’ll extrapolate on in more posts to come ).
Capricorn is an earth sign, reveling in stability with a handful of almost toxic traits to display if that stability isn’t achieved. ruled by saturn, or kronos if you wanna get greek, Capricorns are at a constant war with themselves between the general human experience   &   cutting out as much superfluous expression   &   feeling as possible. the story of kronos is very reflective of the Capricorn struggle:   it’s the tale of a man   ( god, but that’s not important )   whose wife is predicted to bear a child who will surpass him   &   take his legacy. kronos, in his anxiety to prevent this change, begins eating each of his wife’s children as they’re born until one day, his wife replaces one of the newborns with a rock so that it will survive kronos’ consumption. of course this leads to the child growing up   &   indeed surpassing kronos just as the prophecy foretold. the lesson to be learned from kronos is one of restriction   &   the inevitability of time.
between their earthly reliability   &   love of practicality, Capricorns are viewed as the traditional fathers of the zodiac sphere. they guard their values of yesteryear close to their chest. anything too different is cast far away from themselves or, rather, consumed until all traces are disposed of. thankfully not as stubborn as poor Taurus   ( another earth sign ),   Capricorns have a touch of adaptability in all their logic. their modality is cardinal, implying they take charge of situations. they are the leaders next to Cancer, Libra,   &   Aries:   any good leader knows when to give up their morals for the betterment of their charge. to boot, Capricorn is represented by the mythological creature, the sea-goat   ( a creature created by dear old kronos, himself, consisting of the torso of a goat   &   the tail of a fish );   the goat half delivering on that steady earthly nature of an unrelenting climb to the top of a mountain called life, yet the inclusion of the ocean in this aesthetic implying an amount of emotion only water signs can relate to.
in the typical male-dominated, fatherly way, however, emotional expression does not exist for Capricorns, resulting in this implied depth to lurk well below a Capriorn’s surface. they are deeply independent in a way that leads to intense loneliness. they must do everything for themselves, another thing lovely kronos has taught us here. why look for a different solution to this problem when i so clearly have found one for myself, the ruler of saturn proclaims. a Capricorn’s independence is almost panic charged in this way. they so dearly want to be seen as capable that they will shred their own livelihood as a price. they are masters at self control for it, each having taught themselves the art of stoicism from a young age. Capricorns are at best, friendly in a superficial way. knowing their loneliness is created by their own hands but never knowing how to move passed their own cold   &   distant heart to enact any change necessary to improve their relationships.
something that is often associated with Capricorns   &   the other earth signs is the act of earning money. while Taurus enjoys earning money to support their lavish, venus-ruled lifestyle   &   Virgo sees money as something to worry over thus resulting in them hoarding it, Capricorns crave for their income to be stable   &   plentiful in order to provide for their loved ones, or for the more lonely Capricorns, to provide for themselves.
saturn is the first planet to take a substantial amount of time to complete its cycle through all the signs. compared to earth, which takes one year to complete its solar rotation   &   jupiter which takes 12, saturn takes upwards of 30 years. we astrologers take that as symbolical for how Capricorns get significantly better with age, as well as their   “ slow   &   steady wins the race ”   attitude. Capricorn is a sign of wisdom but only at the hand of experience. young Capricorns frequently find themselves discontented with their environment   &   lifestyle, craving a stability that cannot exist without first having established themselves in the world. every seven years it’s said, a Capricorn reaches a new level of understanding   &   maturity, as it is about every seven years that saturn completes 1/4th of its solar cycle.
Capricorns, like Scorpios, love their privacy. regarded as one of the more shady signs of the zodiac, a Capricorn is the type of person to have everyone believing they know everything there is to know about them while simultaneously only ever revealing surface level knowledge about themselves. Capricorns love having friends   &   spending time with their loved ones, however they lack a sense of trust that would allow them to form deeper connections. while a Capricorn does experience their emotions as thoroughly as the rest of the zodiac, they have an equally intense insecurity about expressing them. a Capricorn lives their life wanting to be depended on or at least wanting to provide for those that do depend on them. emotions are seen as a weakness that cannot be spared.
with the basic personality of a Capricorn outlined, i’ll now go through some choice quotes that demonstrate these traits   &   then talk about a few parts of his heart events that do the same.
“ if i just disappeared would it really matter ? ” “ i was thinking... people are like stones skipping over the water. Eventually we're going to sink. ” “ what am I going to do today ?   probably nothing.”
when the player first meets Sebastian, he is overtly depressed   &   never goes out of his way to hide it. there is a solemn dark cloud filled with rain, ready to burst constantly following him   &   it’s difficult to ignore. this seriousness is very characteristic of many signs, Capricorn being one of them as it is ruled by Saturn, an outer planet with a very melancholic tone.
“ hey, don't let me stop you from getting your work done. if you aren't busy i don't mind if you stick around. ”
this quote demonstrates the productive mindset of a Capricorn. compared to all the other bachelors, Sebastian is the only one to ever really consider the player’s work schedule.
“ i was so close to screaming at mom for throwing away my old comic collection   ...  but something stopped me. hmm   ...   with age comes wisdom. ” “ the older i get, the less i'm drawn to the city. ” “ sometimes i feel so angry  ...  but when you show up i always start to calm down. maybe i'll mellow out with age. ”
while these quotes are also depicting other personality traits, for now i want to emphasize Sebastian’s constant referencing to the passage of time. time is always on a Capricorn’s mind, even the less self aware ones always feel the effects of its passage harsher than other signs. after dating   &   at points in marriage, which is when these quotes are from, Sebastian begins to view time as something more positive   &   optimistic. he recognizes that he has anger issues, at the very least,   &   hopes they’ll get better as time goes on. it’s quite the feat to make a Capricorn see growing older as something positive instead of something anxiety inducing, so from this alone we can really tell that Sebastian is absolutely in love with the player, without a doubt.
“ i couldn't sleep last night so I went for a night ride on the motorcycle. i need to stay independent, even though we're married. that's just how i am. i still love you, though. ” “ hey   ...   want some coffee ?   i needed some   ...   woke up early from a nightmare   &   i just couldn't fall back asleep. ” “ hey. i couldn't sleep last night so i took a walk to the caves. ” “ i'm going to take a walk today. i need some time to myself. i'll see you in the evening. ”
Capricorns tend to be almost predisposed to sleep issues due to their immense amount of anxiety that comes with the disconnect between productivity   &   incapability, or craving emotional connection   &   viewing emotions as unnecessary. Capricorns are also fiercely independent, so independent that it’s no surprise Sebastian’s the kind of person to sneak out of bed   &   go off alone when feeling anxious instead of waking his partner up for comfort.
“ i don't want to get soft now that i'm a married guy. maybe i should start eating more hot pepper   &   working out ?   just an idea   ... ”
while i’d also be willing to chalk this expression up to Sebastian being anxious about not passing as masc, i’m also willing to attribute this to a Capricorn being afraid of time passing   &   “ missing out ”   on life. growing soft can be a fear of a sign so dedicated to seeming tough   &   dependable.
“ i don't really feel like doing work today. maybe i'll see what's on tv. ” “ i did some work on the laptop today. ” “ i'm debating whether i should work or just read comics all day. ” “ you know, i should be doing something productive right now. i just lose focus too fast   ...   maybe i should drink more coffee ? ”
Sebastian references his work so frequently, in typical Capricorn fashion because the urge to justify one’s pleasures by mentioning the fact that they’re also being productive is something ever-present. they are a very guilty breed;   on top of their other burdens, they feel especially bad for moments of relaxation or times when they should be doing something, but cannot bring themselves to.
“ you’re probably making a lot of money on your farm, huh ?   i guess i should get a job soon   … ” “ we should raise more slimes. in big quantities they can be really profitable. ” “ i did some work on the laptop today. i was actually brainstorming some ideas for a game i want to make. with your farming income, i can afford to do what i want with my life. it’s pretty amazing. thank you. ” “ hey. look at me. never forget that i love you   ...   you’re everything to me. now go make us some money. ” “ are we doing okay on money ?   i don’t want to have to sell my laptop   ... ” “ *sigh*   ...    if gas wasn’t so expensive i’d ride my motorcycle to the city today. so what do you do when you aren’t working ? ”
Sebastian talks SO much about money   &   to me, it’s really hard to imagine concernedape didn’t intentionally make him a Capricorn with this much dialogue about income when no other bachelor or bachelorette has any mention of the topic   ( except for harvey who mentions he’s afraid he’s not bringing in enough money from the lack of people in town ).   the biggest one that jumps out at me to really signal a significant change in his personality after marriage is when he mentions having the freedom that comes with a steady income, a freedom that now allows him to do what he really wants which is, apparently, to make a video game. another one that jumps out at me here is his immediate association with feeling like he should get a job after assuming the player is making a lot of money. since income is such an important subject for Capricorns, it’s easy to imagine Sebastian feels inferior in comparison to the player since he’s   “ just ”   a freelancer.
“ i often felt unappreciated at home   ...   but here i feel like i really belong. ”
this quote kind of hits Capricorn’s need to be appreciated   &   useful directly on the head   &   is a good transition for me to talk about the fact that Sebastian never progressed very far in his career while living at home with his family because he felt unappreciated. compared to how he almost immediately has a dialogue line after marriage where he tells the player he’s been inspired to make a video game, it’s easy to see the almost instant maturity Sebastian obtained just from moving out;   something he had assumed was in the far off future, implied by his heart scenes.
now let’s break down Sebastian’s heart events.
his first heart even opens with him busy working, already a very Capricorn setting honestly, as i’ve said a few times now since Capricorns are prone to productivity. Robin enters after a moment   &   informs Sebastian that Abigail is looking for him, to which Sebastian responds to ask if his mother had informed Abigail that he’s working. Robin says that while she had, Abigail still intends on visiting Sebastian at some point today. Sebastian’s next piece of dialogue is very important.
“ *sigh* no one takes my job seriously. ”
this is an incredibly Capricorn thing to say, both because Capricorns always feel the need to be taken seriously   &   also due to their signature insecurity about income.
the scene continues so that the player can ask Sebastian what his career goals are. he explicitly says:   “ well, i’m trying to save up so i can move out of here. probably to the city or something, ”   which by itself is obviously very Capricorn, both nailing their need for income, their constant validation that they deserve what they want,   &   their desire for independence, however his dialogue continues for another textbox that contains the most Capricorn lines i’ve ever heard.
“ you know, if i went to college i’d probably be making six figures right now … ”
Sebastian is so very   &   obviously obsessed with money, it’s crazy to think he’s any other sign but Capricorn. this portion of the heart scene ends with him saying,
“ but i just don’t want to be a part of that corporate rat race, you know ? ”
this dialogue i’m willing to attribute to another one of his signs at a later date in another post, but in my experience, i’ve known several Capricorn suns that feel the same:   that while they strive for a stable income, they hate participating in capitalistic culture.
this first heart scene ends with Sebastian dismissing the player, saying he   “ has to get this module finished by tomorrow, ”   indicating he has a very set schedule when it comes to his work. organization being yet another characteristic trait of Capricorn.
Sebastian’s second heart scene opens with the player catching him working on his bike. after a moment of introspection, Sebastian starts talking, again, about how when he saves enough money, he’s going to get out of the valley, just him   &   his bike. this scene doesn’t have anything specifically Capricorn about it   &   i plan on revisiting it when i talk about his other placements.
likewise, Sebastian’s third   &   fourth heart scenes don’t have anything outrageously Capricorn in them   --   in fact neither scene tells us very much about Sebastian in particular aside from pointing out that he likes tabletop games   ( which obviously isn’t exclusively Capricorn by any means, but i’ve known so, so many Capricorn suns that have been hardcore into dnd over the years   ...  )   &   has social anxiety. i’ll most likely dip into his fourth heart scene a little more when i talk about his other placements, though.
Sebastian’s fifth   (   &   final before marriage )   heart scene is, of course, important,   &   probably the most memorable for anyone who’s played Sebastian’s route, but it honestly doesn’t tell us much about his core personality. what it does tell us is how he acts   &   feels when he’s in love, so i’ll definitely come back to this scene when i talk about his venus position.
          &   that’s on his heart scenes !
so, in summary, i believe Sebastian has a Capricorn sun because he shares many qualities with how astrologers perceive the position. of course this is all just my personal interpretation, but i hope this was an interesting read   &   shed some light on the kind of person Sebastian is !

hello!!! it’s me again hehe.... i just wanted to ask do the rulers of your rising sign affect on how people see you? for example!! i have a 16° (2nd decan) scorpio rising, with my rulers on (7°) 4H pisces mars and (18°) 2H sag pluto!! and i honestly don’t think i’m intimidating (or intense?) at all!! (maybe it’s my 2nd decan scorp rising) but any thoughts on this? tysm!! 🥰🥰🥰
Hey there!! 💕💕💕 Aaah everytime I see your name I just bust the biggest uwu!! 💕💕 (all the fan-meeting content with the boys in cute head-gears are so wonderful as well, so my mood is: high) 💕💕💕
This is so interesting?? 💕💕I took some time to think about it, and it seems to be something people come to realize, expect or become a part of ‘how’ they get to know you? 💕
Chart Rulers n (kinda) How it works with ASC (brief)  ⬇️
Your chart ruler will probably have an effect on what you know about yourself as well (since thats essentially the 1st house ruler) 💕
*ALSO whatever placement you have in your 1st house!!! Is also!!! Important!!!! This doesn’t neglect from that!!! 💕💕💕 Pls remember!! 💕💕
Anyways, it can also contextualize things because it’s supposed to lie in certain houses (like your pisces Mars in 4th, sag pluto in 2nd) – giving context clues as to ‘where’ you belong and what you’re known for/best realized in (*aspects to angles can also indicate this as well) 💕
Like imagine your ascendant going ‘hello! 💕I will be your guide for today! 💕’ and leading the gaggle of tourists to your chart ruler ( ‘and here we observe x in their natural habitat’) as a part of a ‘tour in getting to know ‘you’’ – is how I’d imagine it? 💕(as part of the ‘components’ of you) 💕
For me, how I’d observe this in in what house it lies in (the chart rulers) and what connection is it making (aspects)? 💕I kinda start to realize how people approach me, what for. What they’re relying/depending on me for, what they know me as and how I come across through that? 💕
It’s an accumulation of descriptions people give about you, that’s not necessarily what you see yourself coming from, but resonates with what they came to realize/perceive you as as well? 💕
It’s kinda like not exactly knowing why people say you’re nice or like this/that – but also having a vague idea/clue about how they could’ve picked up on that from an interaction you’ve had together. That becomes a ‘defining’ factor for them, and their impression of you sometimes? 💕
Let’s work through some examples?
Like with me, I have a Sagittarius ascendant and a Sagittarius Jupiter (chart ruler) in 12th. It’s conjunct to my Venus (Sag) as well.
But I zoom in on the 12th house part of it and start to realize there’s a reason people come to me for help with self-realization (self-help) stuff? 💕
That’s the influence of my 12th house where my chart ruler lies, but it also influences how got to ‘know’ me as well (or realize things about me, past my Sagittarius ascendant) 💕
Contextually – I like being alone, quiet things, one on one conversations. I like to direct my energy that way– when I’m not ‘forced’ to interact but can do so with my own time, pace, energy if I need it. When I have ‘space’. And that’s a part of the 12th house as well.
As my chart ruler– it’s literally telling me I do better when I can have a personal channel with someone in order to connect and contribute this way? 💕 And that’s when it manifests best.
But it’s also telling me I’m a stickass for helping people when I can’t help myself, or don’t know myself all that well yet (which leads to embarrassment later for me to go through ksjdnk)
Whatever house your chart ruler lies in doesn’t indicate  ‘good’ or ‘bad’ — it’s just things being things, put into a context for you to see, realize and work on skdjnf
So let’s look at you. Scorpio rising with your chart ruler being in 4th and 2nd. What does the sign say about your traits? Pisces can be homebodies, can find comfort in being ‘in touch’ with themselves (but not too much because otherwise its 🤪’time to yeet’ for them) escapism when conflict arises from someone else (escalation in tension/emotions/anger) – also a sense of self-isolation for self-preservation (protecting themselves from danger)
But also a sense of acceptance in allowing others to ‘feel’ things and talk about it– listener and confidant, a safe space for people to go to if it’s not too heavy. If others can accept you, then you can accept them (*not always since you do tend to have good judgment on who deserves and doesn’t deserve your ‘acceptance’). If you vibe that they’re ‘good’ (and low-maintenance let’s be serious) and they help make you feel ‘not anxious’ around them (comfortable) – then it’s all good with you.
Comfort is a thing, y know? You want to be stress-free or comfortable in a ‘safe space’. And that space sometimes is the home or those around you, it’s the ‘i dont want to be alone’ but at the same time not wanting to push/exert yourself into a high-energy side of you. Just a comfortable– relaxed, accepted state.
On the other hand, you also have Sagittarius Pluto in 2nd. Making moves, acquiring skills and goals. Ambition and desire to accumulate and make changes (or add coins into the piggy back you call ‘self’ or ‘value’ – or ‘self-value/worth’ sometimes) An enthusiast and connoisseur ™️ for the Things in life.
Things that would serve a purpose after they’re bought/acquired. Things that can be referred to or used repeatedly. Things that isn’t expendable or disposable after one time usage. Harder to acquire things– whether it’s objects, values, philosophical ideas (self-love, self-care) things that can make changes bigger than just what it is (an idea, a book, clothes that can be styled so many different ways and become a ‘stable’ in your closet)
So what does this all have to do with your chart ruler and ascendant? It’s how people get to know you, impressions of you (part of it, part of the components) and how they perceive you.
People take note of this ‘value/worth’ quality in you from your 2nd house Sag Pluto, they may realize that you’re more interested in what to do with it rather than the thing itself as well. They may be fascinated with how you do it, how you just gravitate or naturally look past the initial and straight into the application/execution of the idea. What knowledge you’ve accumulated, what your insights and perceptions are. What and how it changes things.
They can also notice how you accumulate those things– keep it safe from other’s hands ( since the 2nd house is the ‘self’ and the 8th house talks about ‘others’ ) you’re not necessarily the sharing type, but more like the person who has all these things and is doing something with it and people are taking notice of it.
If I call you possessive would that be a fair observation? Sometimes you just don’t want to share, or hold yourself back from doing so unless it’s something you unclench your fist for ( clenching your fist around the 2nd house and calling it ‘mine, my safety/security, nobody is taking it from me’) – it’s not necessarily a bad thing, in fact most people probably realize your personal space and need for security with it. But also what you’ve accumulated as part of yourself/your self-worth as well.
Another component to your ASC + Chart Ruler component is this Pisces Mars in 4th. When you’re at home – you’re different. Well, not different. But if you have a comfortable and Good home environment (people who are good for you around you) you’re much more relaxed and less tense/nervous than how you are than say – another house.
It’s like coming home to see you chilling on the couch doing your thing, watching something or drawing/writing whatever it is you do. Having a catch up on What Goeth On outside in the individual daily life and just– y know, generally keeping the tension-low in the home/personal environment.
If there IS tension, it’s like your escapism kicks in. Either your anxiety rise and you scurry to try to fix it right away (because you know it’ll be a bigger problem later and you’ll drown in self-demotivation) or you plug in the ear phones and leave to go to bed (and chill in there until it’s over).
These becomes things that defines part of your ASC as it’s chart rulers, and outlines things that will need to be dealt with or talked about as well. Sometimes it’s just taking notice of the way people treats you, and how it progresses from first impressions -> seeing you in different environment/context (4th house especially, like when they live with you) or just the trait they came to realize about you as you ‘let them in’ sometimes. 💕
Also sometimes its just.. hmm... the houses itself, the 4th house and the 2nd house-- perhaps the themes around those houses such as family, home/domestic life, private situation or personal stories. As well as ‘how to..’ do something situation can be how/what people approach you for as well? 💕 Word of advice and comfort, or your ‘expertise’ on subjects they perceive you to have good energy in (2nd or 4th)
So yeah!! 💕 It’s not necessarily intimidating, since we’re not just looking at Mars and Pluto but where they are, in what signs? 💕There’s obviously more to you than just your chart ruler, but it’s a really cool thing isn’t it?? 💕💕
Anyways, I hope this kinda helps?? ;; or answer your ask?? 💕💕💕 Thank you for sending it in!!! 💕💕💕And i hope you have a good day!! 💕💕

Hello!! I saw your post about free readings! I was born on the 6th of January 2001, in Dublin, Ireland at 2:32 pm. Thank you in advance if you get around to seeing this 💖💞💞💗💘💓
Tumblr media
Okay so this is your chart~ As always I’m sorry for my English and note that I’m still learning (so if you have any type of feedback or criticism I’d be happy to hear!).
Oh, a wise Capri person~ Hmm, definitely a weird chart. It’s like in some parts you have an intense development and in others you’re like “stuck”.Starting from your Asc. Gemini rules Mercury, and yours is in Capri too (8th house), making a trine with Saturn in the 12th house.. hmm so I think you’re.. rather introvert, or at least you think too much in what you say and what you don’t and you put a lot of guilt to yourself for any mistake you make (specially talking). Capris are like super wise, very stable and correct but that’s only because they put a lot of responsibility to themselves (and if behaving wrong, on others). You just have to do things right, and that’s cool but also tiring. We actually live in a Capri society if you think about. It makes you think that if you earn it, you’ll be on top but in this path we forget to see other stuff, other people, etc. All Capris (and you will be having a Node return this August) are having a lot of transformation these years (2018-2022 aprox), so don’t try to resist to them! If you gotta change, you gotta change. Also, Capris are highly spiritual if they work on it, so (well you guys can do anything you want you just have to want to lol).
Well let’s talk about what matters lol. So your Sun and Mercury (your Asc planet) are in Capri. They’re both in the 8th house, so I bet you’re totally up to growing mentally in thinking about life and death, in searching what’s beyond everything. You’re probably never satisfied in what’s on the surface, you want to know it all. Super analytical and you’ll definitely work veeeery good in anything that requires communication or just using your mind. Stuff related to astrology, Tarot, magic things and such would be fantastic for you. Your MC is in Aqua and very Uranian so I think you’d be more up to in working in something very original and like.. transgressor¿? like, something that would blow someone’s mind. Something that’s mental too. IDK actually lol.So we can see your Sun is in opposition to your North Node (and now it’s returning to this place this August), so you’re probably these last year(s) thinking like.. WAIT I also think you have it in the same grades as the eclipses (was there an eclipse in January 5/6th? because if so, this will be more intense and crucial for you). So yeah, all Capris/Cancer are like having this thing between “what’s correct, work, authorities, what you gotta do (Capri)” and “past, roots, your family, loving more, showing up your failures (Cancer)” and I bet you’re feeling like this too. You actually were born with this Nodes position. Lunar Nodes are something like “what you’ve come to do in this life and what you bring from past ones”. It’s like you were (and are) someone who’s veeery Capri, someone who feels they have to do things right or you’re a total failure, very earth like but you kind of can’t end to.. hmm.. enjoy it? I feel like it’s something like this. Your Saturn is in Taurus (2nd house ruler, where your North Node is). You have your South Node (past) very in you, since it’s with your Sun. And your life will be always kind of telling you or making you feel unhappy if you don’t try to chase your North Node. You’re still super young tho xD. But Your NN is telling you to.. enjoy your life a bit more? In the 2nd house it tells you to not desire for social power, to not abuse of yourself and others, to enjoy your life, enjoy with your money, with food, with the earth (Ireland is like the perfect place to do this lol -I loved it when I visited it!-), to be stable, peaceful, not aggressive and to achieve things by yourself. Being it in Cancer, it also tells you to try to open up your feelings a bit more, to show up your flaws (yeah I know Capris definitely don’t like that lmao), to love your family, etc.I think you’re like in this moment of your life that you’re like waking up and telling yourself “what’s to be successful, what’s to be a good person”, etc. And as I mentioned, society will tell you to be a Capri, it will tell you to be the best (since your IC is in Leo your family kind of could increment this? like you’re proud of it or they can make you feel like you have to be the best, that person who stands out? here I’m interpreting stuff for myself so idk).
OOF we’ve only talked about your Capri stuff (but definitely important, at least this year). Also on December there’s this crazy Pluto/Saturn conjunction in Capri and you have Mercury there so definitely changes and changeeessss. All Capris are a bit crazy and lost these days hahaha.Okay, let’s talk about other stuff. Your Moon is in a conjunction with Jupiter (but in 12th). You’re definitely a super wise person (tho you’re 18 just now) you’re bringing a lot of knowledge from other lives or something. Very spiritual but you have to work on it. I mean, you’re blessed with this Jupiter/Moon. People LOVE you, you’re very trustable and you give the best advices (plus this Saturn/Mercury and your Capri Sun oF COURSE I’D GIVE MY LIFE TO YOU TO PROTECT MEeee). You may feel (here it’s kind of important to know if you’re a male or a female) you have like secret enemies (which can totally be yourself or your family -kinda makes me feel like your family but it could be anyone-) that kind of can put sticks in your wheels and success can be a bit difficult to achieve (but anyways you don’t know what difficult means lmao). It’s making a square (difficult, hard aspect but NOT bad if you work on it) with your Venus in Pisces, that’s like it’s best place! Super comfy place. This Venus is exalted there and Jupiter kind of can exalt it more (although they seem like enemies). Emotional, mystic you like to help others psychological, poetic. Again, it’s like life is telling you to choose between being emotional, showing up your feelings or be more empowered and cold. BUT I tell you: why not both? It’s like you can feel your feelings are being unappreciated. But that’s probably because you’re not showing them properly. I think you may feel your mom doesn’t support you (and it could be your enemy if you don’t do things right). You’re kinda  rebel here, like you don’t wanna follow the rules, you wanna be original in what you do in your life, and I think you may feel this is wrong or this is too difficult too. You’re very lost, probably right now that you’re 18 since you might not know what you wanna do as a career, since as we said you feel it has to be original, transgressor, destacable¿?. You also feel like you can’t trust others (which I tell you to go and follow what your heart tells you). I think you’re feeling you have to make decisions and you’re too perfect to be wrong in what you choose. I tell you: it’s ok to be wrong, it’s ok to study a medical career and then discover that what you liked to do was actually opening up a coffee shop, for example xD.I see a lot of potential in this chart, but also a lot of contradictions (which are basically the same since it means you have a lot of energies coming from everywhere). The only thing you kind of lack is Fire, but I don’t think that’s a problem, since you already have a lot of cardinal energy. I actually think you’ll never be impulsive or not think about stuff before acting. So the thing about life is to try to use all this energy you got to work together, to make something. I see a lot of love in what you will end up doing as a career, and that’s important. As I said you may feel you’re making others unhappy with your decisions, but that’s okay. Just try to show up you love everyone the same and be thankful for all the things they’ve given to you and everyone will understand you just need to be happy, as everyone else.Pluto from 6 to your MC might tell you’ll make a total change in your career at some point, and that’s ok! I definitely see a lot of potential to study stuff like astrology and help others with it tbh. Neptune (and Venus) in your MC/10th house says you might want to work in something artistic-like or something that helps people, to makes you a generous person.
You definitely still have a lot to think, have a lot to live. Oh my, we’re forgetting this Mars in Scorpioooooooooooo which is also important since Mars is ruled by Scoprio (and Aries) SO you’ll put a lot of effort in making YOUR life better and in putting in service of others too. Remember the NN that told you to enjoy life for you too! The point of fortune (which is something that doesn’t exist, is like maths stuff that makes a point) is right there so you’ll have a lot of luck in that BUT it’s squaring Neptune and your Liliths so I think you kind of could “surrender” at some point to vicious stuff (like drugs, alcohol, sex, idk stuff that will make you want to disconnect a bit). So be aware with that (tho I can tell how responsible you are so). But yeah, if worked this could be an incentive on wanting to be more artistic or feeling a need to put your service in others. You definitely like mystery stuff and deep and magic things that’s why you’re interested in astrology. Sharp mind as we said, very deep (you definitely love long talkings about stuff we don’t understand). I see a lot of possibilities of an herence or a legacy too at some point of your life (which will probably shock with your idea of wanting to earn stuff by your own, your NN). Also I bet you have to bit your tongue sometimes since this Mars might make you wanna insult some people at some point lol.
AND LET’S END WITH THIS POOR CHIROOON (I always recommend to search about Chiron’s Greek myth since it’s basically it’s energy). You definitely think people hurt you. When you see and know others deeply you might feel they’re not enough? Or you feel others don’t love you enough or that you don’t deserve love from them? It’s a hard aspect for marriage, which can bring you unhappiness at some point (tho you’d give the best advices for marriages lol).
Hmm so yeah, I think that’d be all. Feel free to tell me anything about it!

AN ACTUAL CONSULTATION EXAMPLE I get requests sometimes for the cliet to tape the consultation. I usually tell them that there will be no need for a tape because they will remember the one or two main points shown in the horoscope. In this case, the client said that she was going to take my Course and that listening to her own consultation might be of benefit later on down the line. She taped it and then wrote it out for me to use for instruction. This is it below: The first thing I always do is look for a hemisphere emphasis. The hemisphere emphasis is like the introduction to a book. It gets you in the ballpark of what to expect. Everything in a chart is within the context of the hemisphere emphasis. Here, it is northern and that immediately introduces a parental concern. Seeing that there is a parental concern, you look for corroboration and that is easy to see with the 4th House activity and the close square between the Sun and Moon, which is always an indication of parents who were not on the same page during conception, around the time of birth, or just in general. All parental rulers are involved in tension so there’s little doubt here that there was a substantive parental concern to discuss in this consultation. Whenever there is a parental concern, there is a psychological pattern that follows in real life that brings in self-esteem concerns, a delay in finding out just who one is in life (causes a lot of mistakes to be made; this is seen when the ruler of the Ascendant is involved in tension or is retrograde)) and it all usually spills out in relationships with people, especially personal relationships. This is psychiatry, real life expectations. The 2nd House (self-esteem) has obvious tension shown between the rulers of the 2nd House and 5th House, as well as the rulers of those Houses. What does that tell us? First, an explanation. In a Natural horoscope (has Aries on the Ascendant, Taurus on the 2ndm Gemini on the 3rd, etc), the 2nd House is always square to the 5th House. The 5th House is one’s sexual identity. It’s where we look to see if there are any challenges giving love. So, when there are planets involved that tie these Houses together, we expect that there is something about the way this woman feels about herself that causes a challenge of some kind when it comes to giving love. Let’s break it down with significator dynamics. The Moon is square the Sun and Saturn. This incorporates the 1st, 2nd, and 7th Houses – delay in identity realization, self-esteem, and relationships. We start to get the beginnings of a theme. The Jupiter-Pluto conjunction in the 2nd squares Venus. It refers to overdoing things, relationally and sexually. When Venus and Pluto are in hard aspect, there is usually a relational perspective that causes problems for the person because it is out of line with what’s possible in that person’s reality. The sexual identity is the 5th House. What happens to that identity during sex with someone else is shown through the 8th House. The 8th is ruled by Uranus and Uranus trines Venus and has no tension. So, this leads us to believe that she is just fine when she is having sex with someone else. The issue here is what she brings to the table when it comes to giving love. Mars squares the Ascendant, exactly……anger taken in from the early home. Mercury-Neptune in 4 equates to idealism/confusion in the home. Now, I check to see if there is anything at the Sun/Moon midpoint. There is nothing contacting it but it is at the Aries Point, which means a projection of ego and relational things that is worn on the sleeve for all to see. I also see Venus=Ura/ASC=Mars/Ura=Sun/Node. It’s all relational/sexual stuff. The Sun-Moon-ASC blend of Scorpio-Leo-Cancer suggests a deeply privately, controlling emotional life energy that is expressed through a personality that needs recognition and it is all expressed through an emotional security-seeking image. You’d expect a person with a strong sense of purpose with fixed emotions that easily dramatize sexual or sensational matters. Expectations of fulfillment from others is strong, especially when it comes to ego security and love needs. Notice the red marks in the aspect grid. They are quintiles. When there are multiple quintiles, creativity needs to be important, if nothing more than in a serious hobby. Quite often, it is a part of or focus on creativity in the job or career. One midpoint picture, Sun=Mer/Ven, is another indication of creativity. The period on the end of the sentence is Neptune conjunct Mercury. This is a decided, emphasized creativity…a strong focus of imagination. It also refers to confusion at home. Plu=Ven/Sat really, really emphasizes the relational/sexual control factors shown in the chart. Then, on the other hand, there is Mars=Ven/Plu, a very sexual midpoint. And, Ven=URA/Mc=Mars/ASC. I have three concerns to address with her: parents, self-esteem, relationships/sex. THE CONSULTATION Me: Thanks for being exactly on time. Even though this is Skype, it is good to meet you. We are going to have a great discussion today. Her: I am excited. My goodness, what a sexy voice you have. I would be standing over your shoulder if we were married. (laughs). I know how these women are out here. (That statement from her immediately told me that her issues relationally are because she is controlling and she is controlling because she is insecure. She is insecure because the relationship model she got from home through her parents is dysfunctional). Me: Thank you. I have received voice compliments my entire life but you didn’t pay me to talk about my voice so let’s get to you. In a nutshell, the central energy of this horoscope is probing, passionate, deeply emotional and needs to have control by knowing everything. This basic energy is expressed through a personality that needs recognition and ego security. All of this is expressed to others who don’t know you very well through an emotional, nurturing image. In a nutshell, this horoscope suggests that you come from a parental situation that wasn’t necessarily fulfilling and functional. From this, you absorbed feelings that created self-esteem concerns that affect your life intensely when it comes to relationships and sex. As well, there is anger absorbed from the parental situation that probably caused you to make a lot of errors in life before you finally understood who you are. Let’s begin with you telling me about your parents. Her: They fought all the time and I mean physically. I have seen them hit each other a million times and they’ve been married 25 years! Me: What do you think you took from their relationship? Her: I’m a real bitch. I was married and divorced three times by the time I was 21 years old. I don’t take no shit. (Rulers of the 1st and 7th in conflict) Me: Your libido is strong or does it suffer from all this anger you’ve absorbed and make things difficult when it comes to being intimate? Her: My libido is overwhelming. I have been to Sexaholics Anonymous for it. There was a time when I couldn’t even wipe myself after a pee without masturbating. It’s nothing for me to come a dozen times a day masturbating. And, during sex, hell, a kiss on the neck makes me cum. I am very multi-orgasmic, even explosive. I squirt like a urination. Me: So, then, would you say that you are controlling, sexually speaking? (Saturn means being controlled or being controlling.) Her: Unfortunately, yes. There was one time when I had a real bad day at work. My boyfriend had a root canal that day. When I got home, he was just trying to deal with the beginnings of pain but I needed to get laid. I didn’t at all care about his feelings. I want what I want when I want it. I guess I am controlling, huh? I knew I was wrong. His jaw was swollen and everything but I needed to cum and that’s all I cared about. Me: It’s good that you understand that you were wrong in retrospect. The idea is to be thoughtful BEFORE an act, not afterwards. Tell me about the importance of creativity in your life. Please, at least say you have a creative hobby. And, oh yea, what did that guy do? Her: By the time I got done giving him head, he forgot about his pain and did me. When I came in from work the next day, he was gone and had taken all of his stuff. Creativity? I manage a clothing design company. I approve or reject all designs and I am responsible for the prudent use of an 8-figure budget. Even at home with sex, I am very creative. I like to play games. I like to find ways to bring a man almost to “that point” and then stop and go watch TV or something. Then, I’ll get him again and stop. I start this on Friday night and do it again on Sunday. By the time Sunday comes, he is about to lose his mind. Creativity underscores everything I do. You are good and your wife is lucky. All you’d have to do is talk to me and I would climax. Me: You are a mess. What a flirt but ya know, that is what you do to try and control the room. It rescues your fragile sense of self-esteem but no matter how many sexual conquests you have, you still aren’t comfortable looking in the mirror, right? Her: Like I said, you are good. Sex rescues me. I suck at relationships but I am a champion with sex. Me: Have you ever considered therapy to address these buried feelings of anger, the fractured self-esteem and the rest? Her: Really? Do you think it will help? Me: Absolutely. There are some things in the depth of you that you need to address and understand so that you can be more productive, relationally-speaking. Plus, the pain. You have a confident personality but we both know that you are as soft as water. All you did was teach yourself some behaviors that hide the pain. You don’t want anyone to know how very vulnerable you are to suggestions that offer emotional security. The perfect situation for you is having a great family that is very secure with a husband who treats you like a queen. Her: You are trying to make me cry, right? Me: No, you are trying to prevent yourself from showing real emotion. You’ll show sexual emotions because you control those scenarios but when sex is removed, you become an actress because your model for relationships is based on terminally feuding parents. You’ve got to be comfortable with who you are and understand that you were a victim in the traffic pattern of your parents. They didn’t fight because of you. They had issues before you were born. Did either of them have a great upbringing? Her: You are scary. No, neither one of my parents had both parents. You just went to my soul. I feel naked. Well, look…..is there anything major showing for the rest of this year? Me: Not at all. But don’t let that get in the way of therapy. Her: Okay. I am embarrassed about the flirting with you but really, your voice is heavenly. I know I am not the first woman to say it. It’s just the truth. You can’t possibly have any more to talk about with my chart. If you do, too bad. Nothing else is important. I’m going to seek out someone to talk to professionally. I don’t want to continue this way just being a nice piece of ass for men. I want something meaningful. I don’t want to have to offer sex just to snuggle with someone on Christmas Eve, you know? Me: Let me know how the therapy goes. We covered the main theme of your horoscope. If you were with another astrologer, you might get a lot of information that isn’t really helpful. I go straight for the jugular. Most people have one or two major issues that, if cleared up, work wonders for fulfillment in life. Get that therapy, okay? Her: I will. One last thing…..tonight, thinking about your voice is…. ME:…..JUST STOP. You are insane. See ya. Her: (laughing) Okay. Bye.

i don't, i just have a rough time so i always just assumed i'm a pisces rising. but then the rectification website was like " nope aries" and i realized that i somehow forgot for the entire time i've been into astrology that i literally have red hair and a fivehead
Ahh I just tried it out myself. Lucky you, a few of my planets switch houses depending on the system
For appearance and lining that up, you can always check to see what's aspecting your asc and what's in your first house ofc. One of my favorite posts on that is this one by mercurytrinemoon, and no I'm not biased bc they didn't just say aquarius is unique and leave. I'd try and get some more common photos instead of celebrities considering the possibility of P.S., but it's something to take into account when you see some details lining up for all of them. Considering mine, I stopped caring for appearances beyond learning bc like...none of us match LMAO.
For the planets thing, my example is right here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With Placidus, I have Saturn sitting there, affecting how my Aquarius rising is acting, so really not giving people who mix up the two, a good time. However, when you use Whole Sign, it switches over to the second house. So obviously I'm not an aquarius rising with saturn influence ted talk over. So that's when you get to do a bunch of math and look at how the chart is playing out, unfortunately a much harder time for you but let's go let's go.
With risings, you always want to look at the ruler of it first, because that's going to affect the overall chart more because it's the one driving the car. So even though my Saturn has moved in a different system, it still holds the same aspects. Yeah it's wearing different glasses, but different conversation for a different topic. It interacts with my Sun, opposes my Mars which both are in two of my dominant signs, and then has a tight aspect somewhere else. So that will feed back into Aquarius and how I come off. I'm not going to be the out-loud stereotype rising, but I will still be able to express myself in my own ways and pick and choose which rules to abide by.
For the Modern ruler, Uranus is in my Twelfth house so that's Still not helping me lmao. It Also interacts with my Sun, Saturn too in fact, and my Mars too! Except it's doing the opposite, it wants me to act up. I have a lot of buzzing going on, and it's a battle between if Saturn or Uranus wins, so very fitting that my rising is Aquarius. That's one way of trying to figure out which rising sign you have, as well as looking at how the rest of your planets are sitting (some of them obviously aren't going to fully match you because like.....it's some stars and planets in the sky, we don't have OG astrologers anymore so a good amount of really good scriptures are lost but we're doing our best here).
Then what about the planets aspecting your ascendant? I got those three right there. My Moon can make my emotions act like a tide, and I can be very sensitive to how I'm perceived--or vice versa, my emotions can really fuck up a room's vibe. It's also an aspect where how you feel grates against how you end up acting. Pluto only intensifies that because this aspect tends to make people want to be involved with me in some form (good or bad), along with another aspect of mine. Then we have Jupiter, my presence is Usually cheery? Think Jess from New Girl. However that Jupiter aspect only neutralizes the rest of everything along with Saturn's impact.
So when you take ALL of that, you can piece together which rising sign you have? Like if someone came at me and told me 'Oh you feel like a Libra rising' well first off I know they'd be lying, but two I can just go through these steps and see how things are playing out If I had a libra rising. Just changed it and I have a stellium in my 10th house.....that ain't me LMAO.
Another easy thing is going off of is when people try to guess your sign? People usually guess earth signs for me and cancer is near the bottom. It's that Saturn influence baby <3
I just talked a whole lot for no reason but I suck at explaining things without doing it and giving examples I'm Sorry but I hope this helped????? A little????

The 12th House - Kim Falconer at Good Vibe Astrology online Courses

The 12th House - Kim Falconer at Good Vibe Astrology online Courses
In the season of the eclipses, what better time to ponder the enigmatical qualities of the 12th house?
What is the 12th House?
To start, we might say it’s the subconscious mind…
Attitudes carried over from the past…
And, so much more.
But what is the 12th house, really, in tangible terms? How to get our hands on it?
Pinning Down the 12th House
Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, can feel confused by this department of life. After all, it rules the liminal states of neither/nor, out to sea, not one thing, or the other.
It’s slippery terrain to navigate, one that would better be ‘shown not told’ through music, art, dance, poetry, nature . . . Every time you try to pin the meaning of the 12th down, it changes into something else. Like the god Proteus!
Proteus as an Archetype of the 12th
Do you know the story? Proteus was the elusive god of “sea change”, symbolic of the  constantly shifting nature of the sea. He could foretell the future, though he would only answer someone if they were capable of holding him as he morphed through all his myriad forms. Because of his relationship to the sea, Proteus is both a symbol of the unconscious (subconscious) as well as dreams, imagination, vision and emotion. The key is how to handle these incorporeal energies so they will reveal their truths.
Astrologers & the 12th House
The 12th house is the third of the Water houses, cadent in position, associated with Pisces and ruled by Jupiter (traditional) and Neptune (modern).
Quite likely, if you study old astrology books, you’ll find the 12th house is described with heavy labels. Isabel Hickey calls it house of the Self-undoing, where we ‘serve or suffer’, the house of drawn shades, confinement, incarceration, hospitalization, limitations . . . It’s not looking like a holiday destination from this perspective.
But these ideas about the 12th house come from an Judeo-Christian-Islamic background of astrology, not leaning toward notions of Karma (as the law of attraction), the quantum Field, Source, infinite possibilities or the collective unconscious.
Open Your Mind
So, to understand the 12th, I invite you to explore a broader perspective. Altered states of mind, meditation, the depths of the subconscious, the collective, where we lose our ego identity to find our Self. Source. Joseph Campbell’s Hero with a Thousand Faces describes this as the liminal zone where the hero is ‘lost’ in the woods, an essential part of the journey.
Think also of the 12th as a repository and wellspring of archetypes, stories, myths, metaphors and  fairy tales, dreams (and nightmares), rich with layers of meaning. The house of the Muse.
Remember, the 12th is like Proteus; you must hold onto him before the secrets are revealed. Don’t give up!
Back to the Basics
The Planets are the Energy – WHAT is acting.
The Signs are the costumes – HOW the actor portrays her role.
For those who want to cement this deeper, here’s a quick 5 minute video tutorial on the basic building blocks of astrology.
The 12th House and the Sea
Essentially, the 12th house takes us under. It is more a dreamscape than land, filled with states of creativity, imagination and alternate awareness. Here we can immerse in the collective. Think of  hospitals, rehab, prisons, all institutions where individuality blurs. It is the house of synchronicity and all that rises from these meaningful coincidences.
The Gateless Way
Is the 12th house really negative?
No more than a gateway can be negative. The 12th is an essential landscape of being, filled with wonders of the non-rational kind.
The great way is gateless, reached by a thousand paths. Know this and you walk free in the Universe. – Zen saying
Consider the 12th a place to experience everything; exclude notion. Perhaps it is in “suffering” that a sense of compassion is gained. And maybe it is only through the “limitation” that a deeper relationship with the inner world is explored.
And isn’t it through dreams, art, and storytelling that we find new meaning and purpose?
Something of our surety, identity and ego must drown in the 12th to rise renewed. More whole, more complete.
Like Water for Soul
The 12th is like water. It can be a refreshing stream, a cleansing pool or a huge tsunami heading toward shore. In this way, it’s neither ‘good’ nor ‘bad’, but holds our most poignant experiences, dreamed, imagined or real.
Try to accept that the 12th house is an enigma to the conscious mind, but in the world of dreams and symbols, its meaning comes alive. The deep ocean or lake of the mermaid, the well that leads to Mother Holle, the ecstatic rites of Dionysus and the reflection of a resent dream image all belong to the 12th.
The borderland
This house is the borderland where myths emerge into waking life. It’s a humbling thought. Where consciousness is seen from the perspective of a veiled world.
Interestingly, Jung, who worked extensively with dreams, did not accept being called wise or even a sage. He said, “The difference between most people and myself is that for me the “dividing walls” are transparent. That is my peculiarity.”
This transparency of the dividing walls, belongs to the twelfth house. Behind the veil…
Explore the sign on the Cusp of the 12th
Here are some ideas for each sign that rules the 12th house. Start by looking at your own chart and others you know. Then expand by looking at the 12th house ruler(s) and any planets in the 12th. What happens to the ‘actors’ when they walk across this particular stage?
ARIES on the 12th house cusp
With Aries on the cusp of the twelfth house, you need to develop a sense of independence through a connection to the unconscious mind. Your identity might form around being a mouthpiece for the collective.  But, it’s a paradox. Aries must find individuality in the hidden undercurrents of the collective unconscious, art, dreams and service to those less fortunate. Look to Mars by sign and house for more expression.
TAURUS on the 12th house cusp:
The Bull on the cusp of the twelfth house means the core values, sensuality and security must come from the depths. Remember, the twelfth is a reservoir of feelings, thoughts and impressions.  This is the sphere of diminished personal identity and blurred boundaries.  For the Bull to find true values and build sustaining resources , he must serve the collective in some practical, tangible way. Look to Venus by sign and house for more expression.
GEMINI on the 12th house cusp:
When Gemini sits on the cusp of the twelfth house, the conscious mind must explore the unconscious.  The need to learn, communicate and share ideas reside somewhere in the collective unconscious, blurring the line between rational thought and intuition. The duality of Gemini may manifest in moods swinging from humor to profound wisdom.  The need is to experience all manifestations of the collective, making this placement extremely active, at least on an internal level. Look to Mercury by sign and house for more expression.
on the 12th house cusp:
The shy Crab on the cusp of the twelfth means the need to connect on a feeling level extends past the personal to the greater whole. The twelfth house represents all that is concealed, the secret unconscious of ourselves and of the collective. With Cancer here, the quest for love carries over from the past, finding communion in helping those less fortunate.  But how can we establish a sense of emotional security in the unseen real? Cancer must find the answer. Look to the Moon by sign and house for more expression.
LEO on the 12th house cusp:
The Li0n on the cusp of the twelfth house indicates the drive for significance and appreciation falls into the sea of the collective unconscious.  This is the house of hidden meanings, secret needs and movements governed by the deeper feelings of the collective.  With Leo’s power here, there is a necessity for self-understanding, connection to and an orientation towards service and support of others.  When Leo gives to others less fortunate, or expresses collective truths and longings, the feelings of fulfillment expand. Must shine for others as well as self. Look to the Sun by sign and house for more expression.
on the 12th house cusp:
When Virgo sits on the cusp of the twelfth, the need to create order out of chaos expands.  Here Virgo seeks to gather, sort, select and make use of energy that is by nature without definition, beginning or end.  Virgo may shift into hyper-drive with the swirling soup of unconscious images, hoping to contain them. This can result in genius creative expression through art, literature, dance or music. It can also manifest as compulsive energy, unable to relax or let go. Virgo might harbor secret fears about health, hygiene and the body.  In this case, letting the art, or cause, ‘carry’ the energy frees the spirit. Look to Mercury by sign and house for more expression.
on the 12th house cusp:
With Libra found on the cusp of the twelfth house, the need to partner falls into the realm behind the veil.  This is the domain of hidden feelings, taboo desires and karmic, counter-intentions, unformed artistic and literary expression and longings to merge with the divine.  With Libra here, sensitivity to others, to beauty and nature and to passion/longing expresses through relationship. Somehow, forming partnerships that help others, or for the greater good, can bring a sense of warmth, composure and symmetry. The feeling is ‘karmic’ or fated connections. Look to Venus by sign and house for more expression.
on the 12th house cusp:
When Scorpio resides on the cusp of the twelfth house, the need to merge with others in meaningful ways, wield power, and periodically destroy and re-create movements in the collective, falls into the domain of the sea, the muse, the past.  Think deep unconscious, the collective soup where ideas, fads, trends, spiritual longing, taboo feelings and all things creative live and breathe. And, they all vie for manifestation. In the twelfth, Scorpio’s depths go just a little bit deeper, the longings a litter more obsessive and the passions a bit more powerful. Look to Mars and Pluto by sign and house for more expression.
on the 12th house cusp:
The Centaur on the cusp of the twelfth house needs to discover, explore and express the mysteries of the collective unconscious. A speaker for those without a voice. Here the house of the unseen real, where sweeping feelings from rage to rapture, heralds the call to adventure. When Sagittarius goes exploring in these waters, there is no telling what will be brought to the surface. With this placement, the meaning in life hides in the depths of the collective unconscious, not in the outer world. Look to Jupiter by sign and house for more expression.
on the 12th house cusp:
The Sea-goat on the cusp of the twelfth house needs to gain respect and establish material security in the watery collective unconscious. The source of dreams, the world of hidden powers, collective thoughts and archetypes provide the matrix for growth and accomplishment.  To strive only for self-importance contrasts the twelfth house requirement of service to, and immersion in, the collective. Yet, to totally give the Self over to the needs of others denies the innate principle if Capricorn.  Clearly, a balance must be struck and maintained. Look to Saturn by sign and house for more expression.
on the 12th house cusp:
When the Water-bearer rules the twelfth house, the need for freedom and unconventionality expresses through the collective. Sometimes, this can manifest as a longing for the dimly remembered yet idealized spiritual home. The drive to take a different approach to service, creativity and unity links to collective institutions, research and reflection of dreams, unconscious patterns and all things hidden or repressed.  With this sign of freedom and rebellion in the house of confinement, innovation is born. Look to Saturn and Uranus by sign and house for more expression.
on the 12th house cusp:
The sign of Fishes naturally rules the twelfth and feels right at home in the chaos.  Here the need to dissolve boundaries and merge with the whole of life wants to express through the world of dreams, synchronicity and service. Compassion reaches out to those less fortunate with a healing heart. Pisces is seeking the ineffable, and in the twelfth house, that means the divine resides in nature, the sea, those less fortunate or lost along the way. A prison cell, a charity, a work or art, a song or dance can be the gateless way to Source. Look to Jupiter and Neptune by sign and house for more expression.

hi you little wild caramelized lamb galopping in the woods 😤
mind to help a poor soul out ? i'm really not asking you to develop anything too deeply, but is there anything in my chart that can indicate the following ? ;
i like flirting and the idea of love, i idealize it a lot, so whenever i see someone i'm interested in, i go for it and try my hardest to conquer them, but-- once they reciprocate, i get repulsed, i get grossed out, by both this person and myself, I'm like "why did i even like them in the first place ? why did I waste time on them they're so boring", whenever i feel like someone needs me, loves me, is clingy, shows affection in a cheesy way or just want to talk/be with me all the time, no matter how much I used to want this person, either as a friend or lover, I just run away, block them and forget about them while feeling horrified at how i acted foolishly just to get their attention, I become ashamed of myself for liking them to begin with, everything they do start to annoy me, i feel like they're the worst person ever after that :(( but i know I'm the one being mean and b*tchy about it, who am I to judge people :((
idk- i crave for attention but as soon as i get it i reject it, i day dream about love and having a deeper connection with someone but i can't seem to find it or do so. it's becoming such a burden, i can't keep healthy relationships, idk what's wrong with me, i can't keep friends nor lovers, never had a lover to begin with since i run away as soon as i feel they actually do like me JDJWJJSAJJAAJAJ WHYYYY UUGHJHVHSJSJSJ
what should i look for in my chart ? or am i just completely nuts ?
thank you so much for any insight that you can provide you snowy poppy 😤🤝🤍

Awww bb, you’re so cute.
Ok I see a few things that may have something to do with it. It's clear from your chart that you crave that attention and love to flirt (Mars in Leo omg!!! Aries Moon, even the Libra energy) but there’s also something blocking you.
Moon in Aries loves, absolutely thrives on chase. But sometimes the problem is, once it gets whatever it wants and the thrill is over, it gets SO bored. And the fact that it opposes Mercury - it can add that feeling of "why did I went for that person in the first place?!" - because your emotions are clashing with your thoughts. You probably try to rationalize and analyze your feelings too much (esp considering that Mercury is in airy Libra).
That exact aspect between Venus and Uranus is interesting. Usually the trine shouldn't make any trouble but I guess even a flowing aspect may indicate being very on-and-off with your affections. Your Venus just needs an excitement. Or it may suddenly switch from romantic to platonic.
Another thing is the Scorpio descendant with Pluto and Chiron in the 7th in Sagittarius. You can be prone to obsessing over people, wanting to form deep connections but on the other hand that Sagittarius energy wants to feel free. What you're describing is actually a known trait of Sag Venus (something completely opposite to your Libra venus which should thrive on relationships) but notice that Pluto, your dsc ruler, is tightly opposite Jupiter. It's like you want these relationships soooo bad but then you feel trapped. It's like too much of a good thing that you feel like you're suffocating. And the feeling of guilt probably comes from that retrograding Saturn in the 1st.
What you're experiencing does make sense but I'm not saying this to bring you down even more. Remember these are energies that you can work on. It's going to be hard but trust me when I tell you that it gets better. You just need to put your walls down (it’s just that nasty Saturn, you can overcome this) and take it easy. Don't rush anything. Don't judge yourself. Get out of your head a little bit (I know, easier said than done). That 7th house Chiron is giving you an opportunity to learn and grow from your relationships. Ultimately you're going to heal them. You're still young, you have lots of time to figure it all out. Despite these few challenging aspects you have a lovely chart. And you're definitely NOT nuts lol 😉
