you’re backstage, waiting for your band to go out on stage. touring was tough but there was nothing you loved more than performing. the adrenaline, the screaming fans and the flashing light - it was pure euphoria.

you quickly had your makeup done before lighting up a cigarette. „thats almost the last show.“, you told the rest of your team, before giving each of them a high-five. „let‘s rock this.“

the opening band finished, and your band went on stage. fans screaming, applause from everywhere, whistling - euphoria in your veins. smilingly, you waved your hands.

„what‘s up guys! are we in a good mood ?“

again screaming and whistling and you loved it. you eyes the venue and you were beyond impressed by the amount of people. after all you‘re not the most well known band just yet.

but giving the fact that you sort of dress and sound like taylor momsen - your band was pretty hot and and eyecatcher with it‘s members, yet alone with the unique sound of your singing and the heavy guitars and drums.

your eyes landed on a specific girl. she was.. gorgeous, yet didn‘t look like a fan. while she was with the security guards you guessed she was a staff member, maybe even the venue owner. she stared back, a slight smirk on her lips, before she returned to the security guards and then disappeared.

afterall, you didn’t care much about it. you played your show, rocked the shit out of the venue and played two more songs off the set list by demand of the crowd.

„okay guys, this really is the last song. cover of no more tears by ozzy osbourne, but with our touch.“

and as you played your cover, the girl appeared again. smiling widely, clearly enjoying your version of one of her favourite songs - but you didn’t know that. you smiled back, performing the shit out of your body, before ending with a heavy breath.

off the stage you went, clapping hands for your team and your band, praising them, thanking them for their hard work too.

i would say fearless era for sure!! he's got the world tour like the fearless tour, and the critical acclaim of doomsday is similar to that of fearless. both winning aoty too! so yeah he has a few really big hits like love story/you belong with me, but also a very prominent fanbase that's like, actively following his life/knows all the little details

i think that something special about the idea i have of nico's fanbase is that a large majority of his really *devoted* fans are people from the haunted era. aka, the people who heard all this commotion about this old popstar coming back to produce an album, listened to that album, and then were like "yep! i stan this person!" and they chose RIGHT because even though he had quite a bit of critical acclaim from the start, his songs weren't necessarily radio hits? like they were, and they did show up on the radio, but like in terms of charts/sales (which, tbf, is largely bc he didn't even *sell* anything for a few weeks), it wasn't really there until recently.

and so those are the devoted fans, but i think he also has a huge group of casual fans, because his fandom is a very easy one to be in. just once every year or so, he drops an album. then the casual fans get to listen to it and be like oh thats some nice music! and then it's, like, nearly complete silence until the next album. there's not *that* much to catch up on unless you want to border on stalking (like some fans definitely do, but i don't really think it's malicious?) anyway, i think a lot of those casual fans either come from his singles, or because of his famous friends and they're just like oh this is a friend of that one person i stan, let me check it out- and then they keep listening every now and then bc it's good music!

i thought that little short film/long music video she did with that ginger girl from stranger things and the teen wolf dude was good and very well made as well and i saw some behind the scenes footage where taylor was very much directing the whole thing and i was impressed by her skills as a director like she knew exactly what she wanted the shots to look like and she had a purpose for every shot and stylistic choice and had a specific feeling she wanted to convey thru those shots and she was very good at communicating that with the cameraman and she was very good at directing the actors and was very detailed about it like she even had subtle little movements and glances down to a t like she knew EXACTLY what she wanted out of every scene and had a very clear artistic vision and she had no problem explaining it and bringing it to life especially thru her actors. very good at communicating what feeling she wanted the actors to portray and how she wanted them to do it. thats a talented director imo i rly like that style of directing in general and i think she nailed it. no wonder her stuff are so successful. she seems like a total sweetheart too so shes very likeable in general i think like she comes across as very genuine

I'm not on tik tok so idk what's going on there. The math side of the easter eggs has got a bit out of hand and they don'tknow what they're talking about. And I agree with you on "not needing an announcement to make it special". I feel this is kind of similar to when ppl complain about the surprise songs they got. I would have never chosen Labyrinth!! And I got it and loved every second of it!! It's special because it was my surprise song, not the other way around.

I didn't believe we'd get an announcement tonight until her dancers started posting black hearts. But my favourite thing would be for her to just play foolish one.

I'm super grateful for the shows, I got to see the mashup, it was insane and I loved every second of it. I had been waiting for over a decade for this so it meant everything to me. I am not expecting her to do anything other than show up at the announced time and perform (as long as weather and health allows her to).

I waited 3 years between 1989 and rep, im not expecting releases this often. No one was expecting 1989 tv right after speak now (I certainly wasn't expecting it until early next year the soonest). But she did announce it and it did happen. Thats just why it's not that crazy to think of an announcement this soon. It just hurts to see everyone calling us ungrateful. Over 17 years we only got 3 tour dates. And we're so so grateful for it, we tried to show her that with the "we will stay" fan project. I screamed so loud every single lyric I damaged my vocal chords and it took me a week to recover. People are still making edits, friendship bracelets, they're gathering in the parks and doing swiftie meetups, today I gave two fbs away on the subway!!

The reasons why I believe she won't come back are market-related and financial, but the whole T4F fiasco didn't help at all. The local producer (T4F) is responsible, not the stadium (Im saying this bc i saw this confusion a lot, here those are two different companies, I believe in the US it's the same one).

I understand and agree with what you said, I just want you to know we're very grateful for what we got. (and I didn't think you were rude). In all honestly, the feeling I got from everyone in that crowd was excitement and wanting to be a part of something this big. We didn't want to show anything other than support and love. I heard exactly 0 people complain we didn't get an announcement (but I'm not on tik tok so i might be wrong lol)

And no, we're not really a part of this whole thing the same way everyone (the US, Europe and even parts of Asia/Oceania) is. But I'm not gonna complain because at least we got tour dates. There are lots of places who got no tours dates at all (African swifties you're in my heart). I obviously understand she can't please the entire world and that there are financial decisions to be made!! She's a human and a business woman and I understand. But it does mean we get left aside (again! This is a world/capitalism problem where poorer countries get less chances in general and I'm not expecting Taylor to solve this).

Im sorry, this is so long. Im just trying to say that this is a reality (a sad one), that we understand it exceeds her 100%, and are grateful she toured this year. and i do think she plans on releasing all of the taylor’s versions on the tour and she wanted to hit certain dates, which is why she announced speak now and 1989 so close together. i think we’ll get reputation sometimes early next year (late january or february ((but i think february is more accurate))) and debut a bit closer to the end of the tour.

and i’m not going and sit here and say you’re apart of this tour just as much as any other location is, because again i’m an american so no matter what i’m not going to understand what it’s like in latam. but i really hope it doesn’t feel like you’re apart if this differently than anyone else, this tour is a monumental moment in taylor’s life and career and the fact she’s able to go to so many locations (especially for the first time) is so massive and big in of itself. an album announcement is a special thing but it doesn’t make the tour or anything about the night any less special.
