Nova grew up in- not the most ideal- circumstances.

So... I firmly headcanon that she's had alcohol before. Like- AT LEAST ONE Anarchist liked booze whenever they got their hands on it (my money's on Honey) and since none of them are hardly good parents, there wouldn't be much effort to keep it away from Nova as a child.

Anyway, Nova can hold her liquor pretty well and it horrifies Sketch's team. She's used it to her advantage when she's trying to negotiate and get information I'm sure.

Sketch's team by now knows that plenty of the renegades didn't grow up in the best environment but they still don't like it. Also, once they realize she tries to use it to her advantage they sick Danna on her so she doesn't. Mom friend go brrrr

Something I wish a Miraculous reboot does (if there ever is one) is having seasonal villains like Ninjago or Kirby.

Those series kept their main villains (Dedede and Garmadon) till their used all their history potential at the time and decided to redeem them and change them for other stronger and iconic villains or just become a second show for the main new attraction (for example Dedede in the dark matter trilogy being replaced by said evil race and Garmadon in rise of the snakes being replaced by the Serpentine and Pythor) yet Ladybug has been reusing Hawkmoth for way to long (he should have been defeated in 3 seasons like Garmadon or how dedede only had 3 main antagonistic roles till he became a hero) this Can also help the world building like the previous two (for example Ninjago made the serpentine which tied with Master Chen and the cursed realm which tied with Morro which tied with Nadakhan which tied to master Chen right hand man. Or how the dream fountain connected with the ancients which tied with the nova comets which connect with Haltman which connects with Magolor which connects with the ancients. This kind of things make the world more grounded and make feel useful for the old viewers for giving attention in previous seasons).

And is not that hard,I can give 3 villain concepts to replace Hawkmoth for a pair of seasons each.

1-a bunch of evil Kwamis which caused the creation of all miraculous for selfish wishes escaped from their imprisonment made by the good kwamis and order of the miraculous.

2-a mercenary organization tries to get the miraculous using high technology able to manipulate the miraculous Powers.

3-undead hunters which got a sinister fate in hands of miraculous users have been hunting down miraculous users for revenge.

Now let’s connect all:the undead hunters were created by the most evil kwami which got trapped by both Good and Evil kwamis for wanting extinction of existence,the evil kwamis once had plagg as their second in command till he betrayed them after seeing he’s been using the power of destruction wrong,the criminal organization is using the same material the miraculous are made of to power their machines but the leader of that organization also gave the peacock and Butterfly miraculous to Gabriel in the past so Gabriel asks them to get the miraculous till the reveal to Gabriel of Adrien being car noir which undoes the deal but the leader of the mercenary organization becomes pals with the leader of the evil kwamis making a parallel with plagg and Adrien and making a stronger connection between cat noir and the villain and at the end the leaders of the undead hunters were the victims of old creation and Destruction users (which worked with the evil miraculouses) at the time plagg was evil which was also the time Tikki redeemed plagg.

I just expanded the world of miraculous by making them their Pure evil villain,their ancient enemy villain them and modern villain which also connects into the first villain Hawkmoth. Which is more than astruc ever did in 4 seasons!!! And that’s just Some of the ideas I have without including the Minor recurring villains Rhino,Electro,Vulture,Sandman and Scorpion style or the new villains created by the old villains. There’s so much ground yet so little use to it

It's clear to almost everyone in the fandom that Gabriel has long overstayed his welcome as a villain. To the show's credit, the writers have at least tried to introduce other antagonistic characters (Nathalie, Lila, Chloe, Felix, and Tomoe), but all of them are connected to Gabriel in some way or another, and it's painfully obvious that the show prioritizes the "Akuma of the week" formula over focusing on any of those other antagonists.

sooo I finally got around to read the Renegades trilogy by Marissa Meyer after having it recommended to me as a Miraculous fan

I gotta say, I didn't expect the similarities to be so intense! let's look at Nova for example. not only she reminds me of Maribug physically (black hair, blue eyes), but she fights with her own quirky inventions, which smells awfully like Lucky Charm to me. and Adrian... for starters, his name is a letter away from Adrien, but also, he's sunshine boy who is still grieving the loss of his mother. alas, instead of 1 (one) deadbeat father, he's got 2 (two) loving dads

then again, Nova and Adrian are not Marinette and Adrien. she's not fashionable. he's not insecure. but I liked them just the same

if you're also looking for a good slow burn enemy/friends to lovers, Renegades is definitely up there. the political plot is lackluster, but who cares, it's hella romantic

BUT, in order to include the most characters, I have devised a group round with 128 characters divided into 8 groups and have sorted them in a way that prevents this competition from becoming a batman vs spider-man final.

Adrien Byers-Wheeler, Son of Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan Byers;

His full name is Adrien Barnaby Byers-Wheeler. 

His middle name is a tribute to Barb.

He is sixteen years old.

He is dating Ophelia Hagan—not that his parents or hers are aware of this fact. 

He is into rock, metal, and just loud music in general but will listen to other genres if he likes the lyrics (and if it’s not classical music).

Adrien is very fascinated by ghosts, aliens, cryptids, urban legends, mythology, urban exploring, and just monsters in general as well as true crime. 

He also loves a good mystery and often lands himself into trouble because of this. 

He also has his own youtube channel called “PhantomPursuits” that he runs with Nova Bingham, Ophelia Hagan, and Stefan Harrington. 

His best friend is Nova.

He is also a fan of history and conspiracies that he often rambles about Stefan. 

Also he and Nova are high a good 55% of the time.

He wants to be a famous film editor and director when he grows up. 

Adrien also has a pet hamster that he named ‘Question’ after a dc superhero.

The curse word he uses the most is ‘damn.’

 He has good grades despite his dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD.

He once got detention for calling his teacher an old sot. His mom wasn’t amused and he got grounded but on the brightside, his dad and uncles all thought it was funny. 

His favorite colors are gray, red, and black.

His favorite band is ‘Panic! At the Disco.’

He’s a total mama’s boy but gets along better with his dad because he is very aware of the fact that his mom isn’t the biggest fan of him due to the circumstances leading up to his birth.

Said circumstances being that the doctor told them he was a girl—causing his mom to become hellbent on naming him Barb and excitedly planning what kind of life she and Jonothan could give ‘her’. Only for her to go into labor earlier than expected and for the baby to turn out to be him—a boy. Which added to the PTSD from the upside down and the postpartum she had made it very hard for her to bond with him. 

He doesn’t hold this against her but he found out about this when he overheard her talking with her government appointed therapist about all of this and how she felt so guilty for how she just couldn’t seem to love him enough just because he wasn’t what she had expected (she was on the phone)... needless to say it fucked him up a great deal and made him very eager to do better. 

To make matters worse, Adrien never told anyone about this because he didn’t want to upset anyone so he has just internalized all of this. 

Also he, the Hagan kids, Nova, and Harrington quads were not allowed to swim unsupervised due to the circumstances of Barb’s death (none of them knew this until their teens). Which annoyed them to no end since they didn’t know the reason.

Adrien also remembers an incident from when he was very little when he got a bloody nose in the pool and his mom flipped her shit, and took him and the other kids all home with no explanation—which made him very wary of water afterwards. 

He is still wary of big bodies of water to this day because of all of this. 

Also he is very handy with a gun. A skill he picked up from his mother.

Also Adrien is very snarky like his uncle Mike and sweet like his aunt Holly. 

He met his dad’s bio dad exactly once but didn’t realize it because he only remembered how his dad lost his shit when he found the man near him. He was in kindergarten at the time and didn’t realize that he was about to get kidnapped. 

Also he loves his aunt El and Uncle Will very much, and also loves his grandparents very much even though they aren’t always perfect. 

He has a coffin keychain. 

He has tried to talk to his ‘aunt’ Barb, Fred Benson, Grandpa Bob, and Steve Harrington before on the Ouija board and spirit box before and swore all his friends to secrecy because he knows his mom and dad wouldn’t have reacted well to it.  

Also he is very shy and likely would have gotten bullied more as he grew up if it wasn’t for Zane and their other friends being scary when angry.

His favorite video game is ‘What Remains of Edith Finch’. 

His favorite movie is ‘The cabin in the woods’. 

Oh and Adrien is very into witchcraft and is attempting to learn it with Nova.

He practices Paganism like Nova. 

He is quite the runner when in danger.

Oh and he loves Scooby doo and pizza. Many people have compared him to Shaggy Rogers because of how similar they are.

Oh and he's good at sneaking out and around and at not being noticed, which leads to him overhearing a lot of shit. So he has a lot of blackmail he exchanges with Zane because they're both huge gossips.

Argyle is his godfather.

Note:

These headcanons take place in my Stranger Things au 'Cats in the Cradle'. In that au, Tommy and Carol are left to raise Steve's four infant children with the help of the Upside Down Crew, Steve's half brother, Steve's younger cousin, and their collective families.

In that au, Jason and Eddie live.

Max is less seriously injured.

Phil Callahan is Steve's older half brother.

And Chrissy, her brother, and Fred Benson were Steve's cousins.

Oh and Steve hooked up with one of his pre-nancy girlfriends and after his death she found herself pregnant with quads that Steve never got to meet.

Hope that clears up any confusion regarding these ocs and headcanons.

Also no hate to Jonathan or Nancy in this. They aren’t bad parents, they’re just struggling and trying their best.
