She listened to her sing the Dalish lament, her gaze drawn to the redhead. Rhian had known that Leliana was a skilled storyteller, and her skills as a bard naturally lead to singing. But hearing it was something else altogether. Even Morrigan quieted her usual sniping remarks. Alistair looked half-asleep, lulled to rest by the sound, and Wynne and Zevran both looked relaxed, as well.

Rhian, however, was invigorated. A very small part of her wondered if she'd heard the song before.

If, before the Circle, her mother had sung her Dalish songs.

The rest of her was simply enamored. Leliana was as lovely as her voice, and Rhian adored her.

A sketch =Dc this is Mzamaki’s most treasured friend Rhian! Like Mzamaki they are a scholar. Where as Mzamaki studies magic, Rhian studies artifacts. Their glasses are a powerful artifact that allow them many insights on the objects they look at. This artifact comes with a price though and will render them blind gradually. The more important information is the more they lose their sight. This cursed artifact can only be taken off upon death.

They’re pictured with their treasured pixie friends here! They may have a language barrier but they’re very helpful in their greenhouse and study. These pixies only choose to show themselves to a select few. Mzamaki lost this privilege after attempting to eat one out of curiosity. They have mostly forgiven him but will mess with Mzamaki when he shows up at Rhian’s place, usually by dropping books on his head or tangling his hair.

thinking about retconning rhian’s backstory & making him like. a blacksmith’s apprentice instead of a mercenary. would make him killing a templar for kiernan much more compelling if he’d never picked up a sword with the intent of using it. being sent to the conclave with someone more important to the clan & being the one who survives to be the herald/inquisitor. & being forced to kill more people. being forced to pass judgement. & he’s So lawful but like. to his own esoteric moral code. thinking abt when hadrian snapped that guy’s neck in the holiday special. iykyk.

Rafal would be the time to be alarmed if his children cough. I feel like he would be the type to always monitor and make sure his children are okay, he would always be up to date with his children. Like Rafal children would love him so much, that they'll come to him for anything.

Rhian on the other hand, I feel like he just doesn't want any kids. Like he'll be the type to leave his children in the house for days and come back and realize that his kids are there. He'll be neglectful and just... Forget.

Now his children would be close to Rafal's children if they had them together, they would have a bunch of sleepless and fun holidays together.

awright, i’ve had enough item design for the next 3 years

1. Bellanaris - An enchanted greatsword that has been with Rhian ever since they became apprenticed to Clan Sabrae’s warrior master. The rune in the pommel was recovered from the remains of the staff belonging to Rhian’s late father, so they may always feel that he is aiding them in battle from the Beyond.

2. A Dalish longsword. Made of ironbark, with a grip of embossed leather and halla horn hilt. Light enough to be mistaken for a dagger, yet with sufficient reach, it’s a shining example of the mastery of elven smiths.

3. Dagger - An extremely powerful but unstable blade, taken by force from the hands of shemlen scavengers looting an elven tomb in the Brecilian Forest. Keeper Marethari allowed Rhian to keep the sword, after she made the enchantment more stable and safe. The flame-like etching on the pommel and the blade honours Elgar’nan, the Elvhen God of sun and vengeance. 

4. A ring made of halla horn, fashioned to look like a leafless branch embracing the finger. A single flower of polished pink quartz blooms in the centre of the ring, a hope of spring after a long winter, a promise to make it through the hardships. Rhian received this enchanted ring from Merrill, as a parting gift, with a promise that she will always remember the love they shared. 

5. A whetstone. Made of quartz, usually hanging from Rhian’s belt.

6. June’s knot belt. Unfinished. A craft to keep Rhian occupied on the road. They’re slowly getting a hang of the complicated pattern.

7. Halla cashmere shawl. Rhian got this shawl from Ashalle on the day they came of age.

8. Sword oil of the most expensive kind.

9. The Heirloom Necklace from the game

10. A compass

11. Maps of Ferelden. Rhian is the pathfinder of the group.

12. Andruil’s amulet. Made of ironbark, Rhian often uses it to pray to the goddess.
