She had a way of defying expectations and they were surprised every time. The way she laughed in their faces at the idea of her death. How she dared them to torture her. And now how she disappeared without a trace. The heroes didn’t even know where she went to and he heard rumours that she had joined the villains…except that the League couldn’t find her either. She was just gone, as if she never existed in the first place.

Sayuri tried not to think about Obito. Tried not to remember what it felt like to have him back—to have her family back—for such a brief time.

Sayuri finally emerged from the bathroom. Kakashi had been right about his shirt, it fit her like a dress. A short dress that just barely covered her ass, but a dress nonetheless. It would be alright for sleeping. Her hair fell wet over both her shoulders and he realised that he hadn’t noticed how long it had gotten. Her face was flushed from the heat. She was cute, he thought. [...] "Uhm", she began, looking at her feet. "I was wondering". She stopped mid sentence. Her cheeks turned red. "What?"he asked. "Uhm," she started again, avoiding eye contact. "Can you, eh, brush my hair? I mean - I just can't use my arms really and eh, only if want to of course you can say no." "No, no, I don't mind doing it," he said quickly to cut off her nervous rambling. They crossed eyes for a second and then both looked away immediately. Sayuri sat down cross legged in front of him and carefully threw her hair over her back. It sprayed little drops of water on him. He grabbed her hair. It felt soft even though it was still wet. He could smell the shampoo on it. It was his own obviously, but it smelled different coming from her. With care, he moved the brush through the hair. There was quite some of it too. It must always take her ages to get the braid ready. [...] He finished the brushing and broke the silence by asking “Should I put in a hairband?” and her replying “Yes.” He tied the hair together with the band she had left on her clothes earlier and then quickly said “Ta-da”. She took her braid back over her shoulder. “You’d make a great dad someday”, she laughed and moved to the other side of the bed. “Me and what mother?” he grinned and she immediately looked away. [we looked like giants - mangekyou.]
