aw, I was actually pretty jazzed to see it was Horobi! I think it opens up some interesting possibilities if it isn't only one-per after all, and I'm excited to see if there's gonna be something with him and Hayate or not. plus I just really like his design

(also, not to be all cynical, but. this exists because of a corporate trend-hop with a franchise that is already sorta notorious for executive meddling. it is a silly poll but this argument is also like. used in apologetics A LOT, especially by amateur apologists. i'm reminded of it. because "a wizard did it" is more believable than the complicated series of events that led to the proliferation of our universe and subsequently, life on this planet. this is a great demonstration of an actual fallacious bias in the way people think, it's called an argument from incredulity -- an argument based on how believable you personally find something regardless of factually verifiable data. this is also sometimes called "the divine fallacy" BECAUSE it is used so often to argue that the sky fairy is the most believable argument. i knew it was a thing but i never expected it to be an 80/20 split

you're lucky you sent such a sweet message, since i'm not too keen on responding to 'when update' questions these days. in short: you can never expect an update from me. it's not something i owe you! i'm writing whenever i want to on whichever project i want to and right now Racing Heartbeats is not my main priority. frankly, i haven't got the inspiration for it. i've opened it a few times the past month and i've come back empty-handed. so i'm not gonna force myself to write more for it now. my true motivation lies in keep me under the charm right now! but we'll see, maybe in a few days, weeks or months my inspiration strikes again and i'll finish a chapter and post it. for now though, not the case.
