Taira: so watching Steven universe and thought how would a fusion au go in housamo. (Basically everything is the same,just that people can fuse together,) mostly wondering your thoughts on the fusion au of housamo and mostly on how oniwaka, shino and ryota would react to fusing with the mc and as a fusion? If that's ok please. Otherwise hope you have a good day and stay well!!😊😊😊😊😊😊

Ah, can't really say I watch much of Steven Universe, so forgive me if I get anything wrong since I'm basically going off of what I have stumbled upon in tumblr and other such places.

Oniwaka:

Very easy to convince to fuse with you since he has already learned to deal with the majority of his internal turmoil. Though, I have to say that it'll take a while before the fusing is stable enough to not fall apart a few minutes in. Loyal as he may be, he has a tendency of ignoring his emotional problems in order to project an image of this strong protector to you.

I'd have to say the best time to fuse with him is after he has done his usual training regime. Well, after a shower since he will usually be sweaty by that time.

As one, you'd be tall, and less stubborn as Oniwaka usually is. Socializing is easier than usual and saying what you honestly think is something you can expect. Though, expect to be extra competitive when Kengo comes around. Might try and beat his ass into the ground actually just cause it'll be fun. Kengo will spring up though. He's just like that.

Shino:

Oh boy, trying to convince this man to fuse with you is going to be something hard alright? There are many thoughts he would like to keep private, but also the fact that he doesn't believe he has the right to fuse with you period. Of course, eventually he'll have to give in. He is loyal to a fault after all. Please be gentle with him, even though he says you don't have to be.

I'd say the best time to fuse with him would be when you're both waking up early in the morning. That's when he's at his most emotionally vulnerable, when shame and guilt hasn't had the time to wake up yet.

As a fused entity, there's a feral quality to you when you're in battle. Grinning like a mad man, but highly unlikely to insult the enemy much like Shino does on the daily. There will also be a difference in teaching methods. More breaks are expected, though you're still not tolerant of those that slack off. Meaning, your patience has grown, but your hits aren't any softer. If anything, they have more impact now that you have accuracy on your side.

Ryota:

Another person that's emotionally constipated! Again, incredibly easy to convince to fuse with you, though unlike Oniwaka, it's likely to be stable pretty quickly since Ryota does want someone to connect with on an emotional level, where as Oniwaka would rather keep that shit buried deep down.

Best time is obviously when you're snacking together. Or helping him cook since he's still not the best at it. It's best to fuse with him when he's at his happiest.

Snack happy is the way I'd describe the entity that you both make. Eager to try new things, though I have to say that you're likely to try and find ways to sneak away from your guild leader duties, to which Shiro would come in and drag you back in and away from your snacks as punishment. You can't help it though. It's fun tasting new things when your tastebuds are combined.

Crafterwaka

Crafterwaka HC

~It’s been a bit over a few weeks since Oniwaka was asked to guard the Crafters’ from shadows. Whatever Musashi couldn’t face would be taken care of by Oniwaka and his naginata. However during that month or so the Crafters didn’t really get to spend much time learning about Oniwaka and why he suddenly imposed himself on them. Kurogane decided to attempt and rectify this oversight. After all it must be like talking to Takemaru, right? In fact it should be even easier since this ogre seems a lot friendlier around people like you. So one day during lunch the third year student found their ogre guardian resting at the gate seemingly lost in a nap. In Kurogane’s hands he carried a bowl of his homemade rice and grilled steak prepared for the pseudo guardian. The moment he got closer however, Oniwaka snapped to attention and shouted “Who’s there!?” The crafter almost dropped the meal he prepared out of shock but luckily he managed to keep himself composed enough to prevent that. When Oniwaka realized it was only Kurogane he immediately apologized. “It’s only you…” The ogre snorted.

“Ah-! Yeah, I-I just wanted to check on you…” Kurogane laughed awkwardly. ‘This guy’s pretty scary being able to wake up like that.’ “I was worried about you since you’ve been at this post all morning and thought you could use a meal.”

“Well that’s awful generous of ya. Thanks!” The ogre said gleefully. He accepted the meal and gave a small prayer of thanks before he began to chow down.

“I’m glad to see you like it!” The crafter laughed as he sat down right next to the munching Oniwaka. “You know you never explained why you came over here.” Oniwaka gulped down the meal quite heartily which annoyed Kurogane. Not wanting to let it show Kurogane just watched him while smiling. Whilst staring Kurogane took notice of how well built the ogre was under all those robes. “So.” He said once more trying to spark some reaction. “I couldn’t help but notice you’ve got quite the build. What sorts of workouts do you do to stay in top form? You can’t just be meditating all day, yeah?” Once again he was met with silence. It was starting to annoy him a little. “You’re just as bad as Take-”

“Cool it.” Oniwaka interrupted. “I’m nothing like him!”

“You coulda fooled me.” The crafter pouted as he crossed his arms. “Take would ignore me for days on end for no reason! Gramps told me it was because he was scared or something, but someone as strong as Take wouldn’t get scared so easily. You on the other hand-”

“Quit comparing us! Ya wanna know how I get so strong?” Suddenly the monk was on his feet as he revealed his naginata to Kurogane. “I battle reckless idiots and those who would hurt my master on the streets, and I take their rules away. There’s a reason the name Oniwaka Hozoin is feared ya know.” With a twirl he pointed it at the sitting young man before him.

Kurogane was awestruck and silent for a moment. Then he uttered… “That’s…” Oniwaka scoffed as he figured that would get him to stop pestering- “So cool!!!” Suddenly the crafter was all over the monk’s glaive and marveling it for the oddity it was. “After so many battles the gleam of your blade is still bright, the handle might be thin but it’s incredibly sturdy! So how do you do it? Does it work like your summoner’s sword where it severs the rule completely or does it completely delete it? Oh, oh or maybe it-” Kurogane went on a full motor mouth questionnaire that gave Oniwaka a headache.

“Did you NOT hear what I said!? There’s a reason I’m feared!”

“And there’s a reason you’re HERE. Right?” Kurogane countered. Now tugging Oniwaka by the arm, he went back inside with his eyes alight with passion. As much as the ogre hated to admit it, it was nice to be admired in such a way.

~Shortly after having Kurogane crack down on him and bombard Oniwaka with question after question he was soon approached by Amatsumara. “So, ya finally opened up to ‘im.”

Oniwaka scoffed in response. “Not like I had a choice…”

The older transient bursted out into a fit of laughter. “That’s our guildmaster for ya! Once ya get ‘im goin ya can’t get ‘im to stop unless ya get ‘im in another direction. Kid’s like a motorboat!”

“Well, he can run that motor mouth to someone else.”

“Hey.” Amatsumara said with a lot more seriousness. A sudden chill ran down the monk’s spine realizing that he may have overstepped a boundary. Still not wanting to show fear, Oniwaka looked the old geezer dead on. The two stared at one another before Amatsumara grinned wide. “Heh, I knew you were a good kid. Ya don’t always act the most polite but ya really don’t mean much harm in it. I can tell ya mean well.”

“D-Don’t go assumin-”

“Ya wouldn’t have gone through all the trouble of defendin’ this place if ya didn’t care. Orders or not. Plus, I see how ya treat Musashi when the others ain’t around. It’s sweet of ya to go outta yer way to get him sweets. He might be strong, but he’s still a kid.”

Oniwaka turned beet red and turned away flushed. “I-It’s nothing like that, ya hear!? Ya must be goin’ senile in your old age.”

“Haha, maybe…” Amatsumara just laughed it up.

~For the rest of his mission Oniwaka was just treated like another member of the Crafters. He eventually warmed up to the idea of all of them training together- he even got to show off a few new tricks much to the amazement of Kurogane and Musashi. As thanks for allowing him to stay some nights Oniwaka would offer to make them a meal they could all enjoy. Sure the monk was still a bit rough around the edges, but he started to be less resistant to the Crafters’ hospitality as a whole.

Ophion

Out of the three of them, Ophion seems the least affected by the previous events and had little problems reintegrating into the extravagant life he was temporarily pulled away from. You’ve been dancing around the subject of confessing for a while, not because you didn’t want to, but it felt as though it wasn’t the right time, so you’d kept your feelings to yourself. Eventually though, as time goes on, it becomes more and more apparent that you can’t keep your feelings to yourself for much longer, and they finally come pouring out when you have a minute alone with the tycoon, away from prying eyes in a space that you’re sure the dragon reserved just for you.

Upon hearing your words of confession you can see Ophion’s posture straighten and mirth dance in his eyes; it’s clear that these are the words that he’s desired to hear from you since being reunited, and he doesn’t hesitate to make this fact known to you. Once again you’re taken into Ophion’s arms, one hand coming to smooth through your hair as another reaches behind you to press against your lower back. A pleased rumble resonates through him as he tells you just how much it means to finally hear those words uttered from your lips. You’re fully prepared for the slew of affection that’s sure to come, leaning into the hand that begins to slide up your back, moving to rest upon your shoulder....

But then you feel it. He hesitates, hand twitching just shy of touching you. Then, he pulls back.

Confused, you look up into Ophion’s face only to find the dragon looking down at you with an expression you don’t expect. Remorse, or maybe pity? You aren’t entirely sure, but you do know that this reaction is out of the ordinary for someone who prides himself so much on being above all else. His voice is softer than his usually bold declarations as he tells you that if this is truly the moment where the two of you are joined together, then now should be the moment that he lays everything bare before you beforehand. That perplexes you further - it’s easy to mistake that as perhaps some steamy remark, but something in the pit of your stomach tells you otherwise, and with a feeling of unease you agree.

He leads you to take a seat, never straying his hand from its hold on yours yet keeping his grip loose as he allows you a moment to get comfortable. There is no easy way to tell someone about the details of the kidnapping and the orb, but he is straightforward and honest in his explanation, telling you everything. It’s a lot to take in, hearing about the previous loops and how so many of them involved scenarios where the two of you were well into the throes of a relationship; just hearing about some of the things he’s able to recall has you flustered but incredibly happy knowing that you got together in previous loops. Then, with some hesitation, he begins to fill in the brutal endings to those loops, and you now know why he’d kept the events of what happened to himself. Hearing them is a lot, but you can’t even imagine what it must have been like to experience firsthand, even if they technically haven’t happened in this loop.

Your expression must have reflected the mess of emotions that were filling you, as Ophion squeezes your hand in a comforting gesture and you are now acutely aware of the fact that his hold on you is loose as though you are something fragile in his hands - you don’t want to be fragile; you aren’t going to break. He tells you this so that there are no secrets between you going forward - you have every right to know and he’s not foolish enough to think that hiding this information would benefit you in any way. But, he also tells you this to make a promise to you now - he will not make the errors that his previous selves were imprudent enough to make. It’s a promise that he made to himself that day, and a promise that he is renewing before you right now, both as this loop’s Ophion and as your partner; and he will use this moment now as a stepping stone to prove to you that he’s as good as his word and that he can be a worthy lover.

Oniwaka

Oniwaka has been going out of his way to avoid you since the kidnapping incident - he refused to talk about what had happened to him on the day, and as soon as he’d had the chance, he’d made himself scarce, disappearing for long periods of time. It worried you, especially given how before this point you guys were inseparable, practically stuck at the hip. Wherever you went, Oniwaka was sure to follow; now, the roles were reversed. Seeking him out was harder than you thought, and the fact he was purposefully staying out of sight didn’t make it easier, but you were never one to back down from a challenge - you needed to get this off of your chest before he decided to fall right out of your life.

You were obvious with your intentions from the get go, never hiding your emotions or how you were feeling so that both Oni and everyone else around you had an inkling regarding your feelings towards the oni. Wasting time was never your strong suit, so it was only a matter of time before you ended up coming right out and saying it, admitting your feelings so you could find out whether they were reciprocated or not. Surely you weren’t the only one feeling this way, after all the things you and Oniwaka had been through together, surely he saw there was something more there, a deeper relationship that you both desired to have, be it now or later on down the line.

He’s suspected that this was coming - he saw the signs - but even he didn’t think you would be so forthcoming with it. And now he’s staring you down, looking at your hopefully expression determined and desperate for an answer, regardless of whether it was a yes or no. He should say no outright, to turn you down in the hopes that it will be enough for you to go away and forget about him, to find someone else who doesn’t have your deaths on his hands. But he can’t - he still has feelings for you, but he still refuses to forgive himself for those past loops; he’s torn, so much so that the words just can’t come out - not a rejection, nor an acceptance of your feelings. What comes out instead is a slow “Don’t...don’t do this”, which makes you freeze. Don’t do what? He expects you to know - you can’t give him this choice, because you both know that he could never say no when it comes to you

You try to ask what he means but he shakes his head, cursing that he doesn’t have time for this and begins to walk away from you, which sparks a wave of anger from you in response. Seriously? He doesn't even have the guts to tell you why he’s turning you down and expects you to be okay with him walking away? Without thinking you catch up to him, the annoyance rising in your voice as you demand he slow down and just talk to you, pestering, and pestering, until finally the tension that’s in the air reaches its peak and he whirls around, bellowing out:

“I’M NOT GONNA SAY I LOVE YOU JUST TO WATCH YOU DIE AGAIN, OKAY?!”

The very air itself seems to freeze and your heart drops into your stomach. Again? You know that it isn’t a mistake, the sheer look of guilt on his face is enough to convince you it wasn’t just a slip of the tongue - something happened, and you demand to know what it is. If it involves you and him you need to know. What comes next is a flurry of information. Oniwaka knows he’s put his foot in it and that you won’t leave it alone until you get your answers, you’ve always been persistent, it’s one of the reasons he liked you, but it couldn’t be more frustrating now. In a twisted way, Oni hopes that you finding out about his hand in your past deaths will be enough to convince you to stay away, to back off and run back to the Summoners for the protection he feels like he can no longer provide. And for a moment he almost gets it; once you’re filled in you’re unusually silent, staring down at your hands with an expression torn between confused and shocked realizing the state of your own mortality. You should turn around and run away, get away so that he can put as much distance between the two of you as possible and keep an eye on you from a distance from now on. You should...but you don’t

You run into his arms with enough force to knock the air out of his lungs and Oniwaka makes a choked sound, clearly taken off guard. He tries to push you away, telling you that he shouldn’t but you don’t budge, only tightening your hold refusing to let go of him. He loses conviction quickly, the hands trying to push you away reduced to pawing uselessly at your chest to make you let go even if he really doesn’t want you to. Oniwaka cusses out your persistence but his head drops down, eyes screwed shut as the emotions he’s been keeping in come bubbling over like a boiling pot.

It takes a moment for the words to come but soon enough they’re flowing from your mouth. Whatever happened back in those past loops isn’t now - the people you were in those past loops aren't the people standing like this, right now. You will never fault him for the actions that his other selves made, even if he does - you trust him, you know this version of him would never do that to you, and above all else you love this Oniwaka, not any other, and if he thinks you’re just gonna give up what you guys have for something like that he’s got another thing coming. You don’t look up, head pressed flush against his chest as you listen to his heartbeat hammering away behind his ribs like it would burst at any moment. There’s a hitch in his breath, a shaky inhale before a quivering “idiot” and then his arms wrap around you, returning your hug with enough force to have your chuckle come out strained as he buries his face into your hair. Small droplets hit the top of your head, and you don’t need to look at him to know that he’s crying - his burly form shudders as you continue to hug him, hoping above anything that your actions will convey more than your words ever could.

Zabaniyya

You already had a suspicion that something was wrong - there’s been a level of distance between you and Zabaniyya ever since the incident with those mysterious kidnappers with the orb. You’d chalked it up to him taking time to recover from what happened, and you don’t blame him; you still have unanswered questions about what exactly he went through, but you aren’t going to push him on the issue until he’s in a better place or has moved on from the event. Zabaniyya is visited by you often, even more so than before as you’re hoping to be a shoulder for him to lean on and trust. It’s because of this that the two of you often have moments together, small moments where you can’t help but feel like there’s something more there - something that if you really pushed, could lead to a deeper bond in your relationship. But now’s not the time, you have to keep reminding yourself about that fact, you’re pretty sure Zab’s not ready for things to go any further than they have.

But time has passed, and the longer time goes on the harder it gets to keep your feelings to yourself - you’d been meaning to confess earlier, before all of this happened, but when Zabaniyya has disappeared you’d worried yourself into a frenzy searching every crevice of Tokyo to find where he’d been taken. And once you’d found him and you saw his reaction upon seeing you, you knew that your feelings would have to go onto the back burner to focus on being there for him as he moves on from the kidnapping. If he moved on...

But there’s a kindling in your chest, welling up to the surface with each passing day until you knew you just couldn’t wait any longer - that event made you realize that you could lose the people close to you just like that, and you might not ever get the chance to get this off of your chest if this ever happened again (a thought that keeps you up for more nights than you can count). Finally, your feelings come bubbling to the surface during one of your meetings with him. The last thing that Zabaniyya expected from you was a confession, watching you bear your soul out to him during a moment behind closed doors. Being left in a room alone with you, Zabaniyya feels anxious - he’d never dream of raising a violent hand against you, but he had still gone out of his way to make sure the two of you were never alone, always around someone whom he trusted to protect you if need be. So seeing you now, standing so close to him he feels uneasy, the memories he was shown of the previous loops flashing before him in an all too familiar pattern. He doesn’t deserve your confession of love, no matter how much he desires them; he doesn’t deserve to have these feelings directed at him when you are so oblivious to the egregious actions he’s committed.

You’re met with silence as your response, but his eyes speak for him. There’s confliction behind his neutral facade, pooling behind his eyes as you look upon him, gaze unwavering. You call out his name and he actually flinches, an action you’ve rarely seen from the angel before; your brows furrow and you call his name again, watching as his eyes stray from yours to look away. The third time you call his name you step forward, closing the distance and reaching out as you attempt to explain that if something’s wrong you’re here to listen, and that if he wants to he can just forget about the whole confession. You want to comfort him, but also find out what’s keeping his silence, so you cover his hands with your own.

The moment your hands come to clasp around his is what seems to break him.

Zabaniyya’s body trembles before he drops to his knees, kneeling before you. He brings your hands, still clasped around his, to press against his forehead and he bows his head as a slew of apologies flow from his lips as though begging for forgiveness. Your heart clenches at the sight, not yet understanding why he’s doing this, but seeing the angel in genuine distress hurts a part of you that has you feeling both sick and anxious.

Any attempts to coax answers out of him whilst he’s like this only gets is a declaration of how he has failed you, an incorrigible betrayal of your trust. Now that really concerns you; as far as you’re aware, Zabaniyya has done nothing of the sort to ‘betray you’, and you have absolute faith that he wouldn’t do that, but of course you don’t know what he knows, and while he’s in such a state you doubt that you will be able to get it out of him. So instead you do the only thing you can think of to comfort him.

You sink down to your knees, leaning down so that you’re face to face with Zabaniyya, and gently move your hands from out of his grip. He releases them immediately, as though suddenly catching himself in a moment of weakness, but he bristles as you cup a hand against his cheek. He raises his head and your eyes meet; seeing you looking at him, smile warm, loving and alive, tugs at something within himself and he allows his eyes to close, leaning into the palm of your hand and shoulders dropping, momentarily relieved of the weight they’ve been carrying since that fateful day.

He looks almost defeated, as though you’ve found a chink in his armor, and you want nothing more than to patch it up, to fill those breaks with everything you have until he doesn’t have to look at you with confliction behind his every breath. But you can’t build him up, at least not yet, not when he hasn’t told you everything that you need to know. For now you reach and wrap your arms around his shoulders, hands spread flat against his upper back as you hug him; there’s hesitation, but the next moment Zabaniyya is in your arms, and you can feel the flames that burn within him, pulsing beneath his skin in a slew of emotions you have yet to understand. After this you’ll finally find out the whole story about what happened with him and the orb, but for this moment Zabaniyya needs this, the silence in the room filled with his whispered pleads for forgiveness as you continue to hold him close.

Protag 1 x Duo

*Duo and Protag 1 would understand each others wants (being treated like a kid/their ages) so they’d totally act like it, they’d be relaxed and super playful with each other*There’s always an air of calm between them when it is just the two of them. *They’re always holding onto something of the others, be it a sleeve or their hand- they’ve been known to cling to the backs of each others shirts too.*The rest of the Protags are super supportive of this- Shuichi, not so much. He finally warms up to the idea when he sees how happy Duo is, but it also takes Protag 2 threatening to rip his balls off and shove them down his throat for him to look past his brother complex for all of 2.5 seconds. *Duo and Protag 1 tend to give each other cheek kisses.*Protag 1 also has a habit of kissing the tips of Duo’s fingers, and though he doesn’t show too much emotion, Duo gets extremely flustered by this.*He got Protag 1 back by giving him one of his coats. *He cried and hugged Duo the entire afternoon after that. *Duo was smiling all day the next day (Shuichi almost had a heart attack-)*It’s one of Portags 1 personal treasures*Protag 1 and Duo had never properly asked each other out, everyone just kinda assumed they were an item off the bat. *Suuuper soft with each other*Protag 1 was devastated at Duo’s betrayal(Protag 1 didn’t eat for three days afterward. Protag 3 had to ask Ded to talk to him because he wasn’t listening to anyone else. *He clung to Duo’s coat the entire time he locked himself in his room.*He’s still sad about it, but he’s working on doing better.*Duo is doing shit*He feels guilty af and shitty af*Protag 1 bought him a little charm of a Ranger and he stares at it for hours on end when he has free time. *Oso tried to tease him for it once and he almost lost an eye*Protag 1 will get random texts from random numbers with messages saying: ‘I’m sorry’, ‘your beautiful’, ‘please don’t leave me behind’ *Protag 1 cries over them from time to time because he knows who it is, but he wished he didn’t. Protag 1 x Robinson*kKJSL;EJLJ*S O F T*I headcanon that this ship cropped up after Duo, but even without that influence, they’d be so FUCKING. SOFT. FOR EACH OTHER. *Robinson and Protag 1 always hold hands. ALWAYS. *That or Robinson will wrap a friendly arm around Protag 1’s shoulders and keep him close*Protag 1 likes to go and spend his allowance on getting clothes for Robinson. *He swears he doesn’t need them but Protag 1 just gives him some puppy eyes and Robinson can’t say no.*Robinson is so whipped for Protag 1*He’s almost shot Sitri because he thought he was trying to put the moves on him. In actuality he was asking him how to ask Protag 2 out, or get her to like him- he just got too close for Robinson’s comfort. *Did shoot Ikitoshi though. He swears it was on accident. It was not. (Iki was teaching Protag 1 some defensive moves when Robinson just…. Shot him in the ass. Bathym couldn’t stop laughing for a week).*Robinson likes to take Protag 1 on little “dates” where they just walk around town while holding hands and talking about their days to each other.*Triton got Robinson a phone and the only person he texts is Protag 1.*Protag 1 is his background photo*Robinson getting excited over his first ever ice cream cone is Protag 1’s background photo. *Protag 1 has exactly 290 photos in his gallery and it’s filled with pictures of his friends and more than half of them are Robinson doing cute shit.*Robinson carries Protag 1 everywhere. Do you think that demons can have offspring with other demons and humans? Do you think they are born as demons, humans or even I can see a hybrid there?

'Sup, Anon! I think the heart of a question like this is whether that little girl was Tsukihiko's (aka Muzan's) daughter or not. I'm inclined to say not, because Rei had a previous husband whom Muzan killed so he could use her for her connections. (And while it's never been stated and people can interpret it however they want, I assume they are dead. Or at least, if they're alive, that's the last night they ever saw him.) Because it's stressed in canon material that only Muzan's blood (even if via other demons, whether willfully or not (and that's a whole different can of canon worms)) or specific medicines developed by the Heian doctor and Tamayo could turn people into demons, I'm inclined to believe that they may be a bit like standard zombies--it only works if the body was previously a normal human and the key is that a change had occurred--and that they can't reproduce like humans can. For instance, if demon metabolism and sleep patterns and healing and growth don't work like normal humans, I hardly expect any of them to go through menstrual cycles. And, in the name of fairness, I headcanon any potential sperm as duds. So while I'm inclined to think the answer to this question is no, I also don't have any evidence beyond this, and if people want to make half-demon OC's, I will not stand in anyone's way (and I won't stand in anyone's way no matter how wrong I might think a take on canon is; fanwork is ultimately meant to be whatever you find fun and interesting). What I would suggest is to at least have these children born with teeth, like Hakuji was, which resulted in him being called a demon child. There are other examples of this in wider Japanese folklore, like legends surrounding Kidomaru (said to be the half-demon bastard of the big baddie of Heian era demons), and the Genpei War era absurdly strong warrior monk, Musashibo Benkei. To quote the relevant part of an old article I wrote about him, emphasis added:

...Though they remained married (and supposedly happy together), he went off to do his wandering warrior monk stuff and Benkichi remained in Nagami Village with a tough pregnancy ahead of her. It was said to have took a whole thirteen months, and she had such a strong craving for iron that she absentmindedly started eating gardens hoes. She was halfway through eating the tenth one when the other villagers finally noticed and stopped her.

In the morning on the third day of the third month of the first year of the Ninpyou period (that would be March 29, 1151, but again, this is merely the contents of this letter and not the only story out there), baby Benta was finally born. He would later be called “Oniwaka” (something akin to Young Ogre), and later still he would change his name to Benkei. Baby Benta was born with long hair, teeth, the name of a Buddhist god of war written on his left shoulder and the name of a Great Tengu written on his right shoulder. Most of his skin was iron and black, except for a little bit around his throat because his mother did not finish eating that tenth garden hoe. He was a frightening looking child, but Benkichi was thrilled to have him. While telling her adult son this story later, she admitted he was born looking like this because she had eaten so much iron during the pregnancy.

(Btw, I love Benkichi and already did a Benkei-inspired crossover with Mitsuri (and by extension, Obanai as Yoshitsune). But that was before I saw Himejima dressed as Benkei in an official Kabuki crossover and was like, hell yeah, that works *too* well. Absurdly strong monks ftw.) So, in the cultural context of KnY we can reasonably find babies like Hakuji called demons, but for all canon has stated about how actual demons are made, it may be more of a stretch.

Driving Headcanons - The Berserkers

Exactly what it says on the tin

Claude - Can’t drive and never learned how. He has Snow to chauffeur him around everywhere, after all. If you put him in front of a steering wheel, he’s more likely to back into the building than get anywhere.

Snow - Can drive and does so often. Mostly drives Claude around, but he also drives other people if need be. Has a license to drive a normal car, a limo, a truck, and even a forklift. No one knows how he finds the time to get all those licenses.

Macan - You must be out of your damn mind to think this guy can get anywhere near a steering wheel. Has once went with Nomad to go get a license, neglected to tell Nomad (or anyone) that he has no experience driving, and promptly totaled the car, which Nomad got billed with.

Cthugha - You know how Spongebob does fine on test, but absolutely loses it in front of the wheel? That’s Cthugha. He once tried to get a license, but the stress of it all freaked him out, he blew up, and the driving instructor nearly died. Normally driven around by Adnvari.

Oniwaka - Can drive, but doesn’t have a license. Or well, he does have licenses, but none of them are his. He just has a bunch lying around from all the wallets he stole. Not that they’d really help him if he ever got pulled over, but he’s a reasonably good driver, so he doesn’t really get stopped.

Ikutoshi - A child.

Pollux - Can drive, but he doesn’t own a car, so he’s not that useful. A rather normal and standard driver, if not a little prone to going a little over the speeding limit. Actually enjoys driving, so he’s saving up Guild wages to get a car eventually.

Bathym - Had a car, but that got impounded when he got in trouble for speeding. Doesn’t really care, since he didn’t really drive too much, and he can always just get a ride from someone else. Which is valid enough, I suppose.

Horkeu Kamui - Does in fact have a car, and is a really good driver, but a little cautious. Keeps snacks in the glove department and willing to help others learn and chauffeur them around, whenever he’s not training in the mountains or whatever the fuck he does.

Taurus Mask - Almost old enough to get his license. Does have a learner’s permit and is practicing with Horkeu Kamui. Is reasonably good at it, but prone to freaking out on freeways.

Garmr - Currently the center of a legal case deciding on how animalistic a transient can be before they can’t get a license.

Nomad - A match for Snow in terms of how many licenses he has, but he mostly drives the motorcycle, which he on occasion gives people rides. However, if Nomad’s going to give you a ride he is going to make you order him as an Uber, unless you’re a friend or Macan.

Andvari - Can drive and is reasonably good at it. In fact, runs a driver’s ed-school alongside his countless other ventures. Most of those who learn to drive at Ikebukuro end up going through him.

(Whoops sorry! I deleted an ask sent to me, but it’s about how Oniwaka, Ophion, Zabaniyya, and Typhon would react as being fathers!)

Oniwaka:

He'd approach the thought of being a father with a lot of caution. He's not exactly the best man and is extremely afraid that his kids will end up being like him. But he's also afraid that he'll be the worst possible father.

When the kids are finally born, expect this man to cry, all the while denying that he's crying at all. It's actually pretty hard to take the newborns away from him. He just wants to hold them for as long as he's allowed to.

Not as much of a firecracker as he used to be in terms of temperament, but I imagine the kids would be full of energy and rebellion. They had to inherit something. Though, this also means they have inherit your tendency of getting into risky situations, which is not good for both your hearts.

Ophion:

He made kids with you before, he is all for making more again! This dragon is the type to want a lot of kids, and he wouldn't hesitate to be proud of each and everyone of them. His heart screams for a large family.

He has the overwhelming confidence that he'll be the perfect father, which is not unwarranted considering who he is, but still there will be times where you'll have to remind him that his children will either not be as skilled as him, or will be greater than him. He will set his expectations pretty high, so give him a good kick to bring him down his high horse.

His kids will definitely be spoiled rotten, which is mostly Ophion's fault since he is very much wealthy. The happiness exuding off of his palpable and you'll see him lifting his children in the air, flying with them when he can to show them the world from above. Arrogant as he is, he knows how delicate children are.

Zabaniyya:

Hmm...Considering how much time he spent devoting himself to the church, Zabaniyya has little to no clue as to how to be a proper father. His face will be full of uncertainty, but have no fear, he'll be studying to see what makes a perfect father for the sake of his children.

Sleepless nights abound. His paranoia about his own ability and the fragility of children will keep him up. Eventually, as time goes on, he will be able to sleep right again, but until then, enjoy Zabaniyya as he takes naps at the same time as the kids do.

I'd like to think that Zabaniyya would be singing some of the hymns he's so used to hearing while slowly getting the children to sleep. The kids would likely be pretty well behaved, and are always full of questions that can sometimes be insensitive only due to ignorance. They'll be good kids, no matter Zabaniyya's history as a torturer.

Typhon:

When you follow tropes, you kinda expect that someone flirtatious like Typhon would boot it as soon as kids are involved, however that's not that case with Typhon at all. Pretty sure that he had this as one of his dreams, to start a family with someone that he really loves. He'd be all for kids, biological or adopted.

Definitely the fun dad, to the point where you have to be the tough parent cause he'll let the kids get away with a lot of things cause he gets charmed way too easily. You'll need to gently remind him not to always let the kids get their way. He'll have a hard time doing that, but he'll do his best.

Once again, the kids would be spoiled, though for a different reason since he's not one to scold. Though, that doesn't mean he's lax when it comes to his kids problems. When something's wrong, he'll do his best to see what's up. He doesn't want any of them to suffer silently.
