Pacific Rim worldbuilding details:
The only one in-world PPDC videogame was created during the golden era of the jaeger program. It was shaped as a mini games type were you could fight kaijus with your chosen jarger, solve puzzles as a j-tech or escape from a collapsing lab as a k-scientist.
The number of teens applying for the PPDC was always high. Especially kids left orphaned. Most of those candidates would end becoming j-techs or part of the strike force or some other thing. It's why Raleigh and Chuck are the favorite of the young public.
There are a few jaeger movies made to promote the PPDC and the jeager effort. That was not even their idea, but some directors got too excited about it.
The amount of songs name dropping j-pilots and jaegers is insane. Back at the golden age of the jaeger program there was a betting pool about it. It became common again after Pitfall.
The PPDC never gave consent for any movie or anything else explicitly made about real life j-pilots. Even during the rockstar era it felt too invasive.
The influence of Mako Mori's blue bangs hairstyle post-Pitfall is and always be a cultural changing moment. You bet that everyone wanted to be the rookie raised by the Marshall himself that shut the breach and piloted with Raleigh freaking Becket.
Kids growing up post the kaiju invasion would forever remember the kaiju drills and evacuation protocols. They would hear people talk about a world without kaiju and feel robbed, feel mistreated and abused. They could never imagine a world without kaijus --or jaegers.
There's an insane amount of pets named after kaijus.
There's also an insane amount of cars modified to have a kaiju-look.
Back school kids would literallt bully others over hypothetical drift tests and compatibility. That was a very serious thing that happened. Nerds would suffer hearing they'd probably be compatible with a kaiju or find a "kaiju partner" and kids would get called "kaiju girlfriends or boyfriends" and such.
There are whole ass game shows based on testing the "drift compatibility" ofna certain duo or group, where the people involved had to guess what an individual is thinking or about to do.
Kids calling principals "Marshall" is, as you might think, very common.

or 25 with Est + ????
(this is one, incredibly short, and two, entirely out of left field for & to me (i know i say this more than is reasonable but.) idk why exactly it just. Decided. that this is where this one was gonna go at ~2am a few days ago, but it sure did, so i scraped some things together when i had downtime lol. i don't necessarily plan to expand it atm, but! we'll see. anyway, pacrim-lotro fusion lmao)
“Sparkstone, prepare for drop,” Silmeniel’s voice says, tinny through the speakers.
“Sparkstone ready to drop,” Esterín calls back. The segmented Jaeger armor flexes familiarly around her, Sparkstone’s heart thrumming nearly loud enough to drown out their helmet comms.
“Ready to initiate Drift,” Corunir says beside her.
“Neural handshake initiated.” Esterín closes her eyes.
The lake gleams in the twilight. Her older sibling teaches her to weave hats from reeds. The refuge burns. And then she is no longer alone in the Drift. Dol Halcalan smells sweet in the summertime. His mother laughs, though not unkindly. “You worry enough for all of us." The Watchers stand guard over the swamp.
She arrives in the village late at night and approaches a stranger. He tells the whole sorry story to someone he does not know. "My captain is on the other side," he says. "I know… I know you only just met me. You have no reason to believe me, much less trust me, but please-" "I will help you." It was years before they stepped into a Jaeger together, but it began there.
"Neural bridge stable. Calibration complete," Silmeniel says. "Imroval will join you soon, Sparkstone. Category Three Kaiju, codename Blind-strider, three miles south of your position."
"Understood," Corunir says. "We're on our way."
It’s old habit, now, to march into the sea, minds brushing as they step in sync towards the great Nameless thing rising from the dark waters. Esterín raises the shock-canon in Sparkstone’s left arm and Corunir raises the right, ready to extend the blade when Blind-strider draws near.

WIP Ask Game
Rules:
Post up to five (5) filenames of your WIPs; not titles, file names.
Post a snippet from one/all of them. Snippet must be words you wrote in the last 7 days. We’re posting progress here. If you haven’t made any, go make some and come back to post.
After you’ve posted, people can send you an ask with one of your file names. You must then write 3 sentences in that file.
That’s it! You can invite others to join in or just post.
WIPs under the cut because some got a little long. Surprise surprise its mostly OC stuff:
Webgott White Collar AU - Featuring Web as a criminal consultant, Speirs as his handler, and Lieb as his very complicated ex/nemesis. Background Speirton.
He was out of plays. Short of slipping his cuffs and probably getting shot in the back as he ran, there was nothing more he could do. What window of time he had, he had wasted on this.
"Got the place surrounded?" He asked instead.
He sounded flat, even to his own ear. Scuffed patent leather creaked as Special Agent Speirs crouched beside him.
"You know it," he told Web. "If I ask before the cavalry comes, will you give me an honest answer?"
Web finally lifted his head, hoping whatever redness remained in his eyes could be explained away as sleeplessness. He raised his eyebrows at Speirs to continue.
"They're going to give you four more years for this. If they're lenient. Halfway through your sentence, a possible parole hearing coming up… what the hell was all of this in aid of?"
Hands tightening around the neck of the bottle, Web shook his head. His knuckles went white around the dark glass and he sniffed, putting it down on the floor and rolling it away with a hard push. It made it all the way to the other side of the room, where it collided with the wall with a crack of glass. The sound seemed to bury itself deep in Web's brain, like something there had been broken too.
"Nothing. Nothing at all."
Pacrim au - Pacific Rim AU, OC-Centric, multiple background pairings and ensemble cast.
“They’re closing the training school.”
Natalie didn’t react, and waited for him to continue. He wasn’t like Nix, who had a way of luring you into whatever he was trying to tell you. Winters was direct, concise. Everything he said, he chose for a purpose.
“We had our last batch of replacements last spring. Most of them ended up working around the Pacific breach.”
How many of them are even left? Natalie wanted to ask.
“So now we’re doing what we can. Calling in old favors. Bringing back old pilots. Anyone who still wants to help.”
Slowly, Natalie looked up.
“The hell kind of help do you think I’d be?” She asked bitterly.
Winters’ expression never flickered. There was little wonder how he’d become the poster-boy for the American Jaeger program, aside from his combat experience and level-headed leadership. He looked like every propaganda poster Natalie had ever seen, all stoic dignity and quiet, patriotic, confidence. Once, she had clung to it. Now it tasted like blood and seawater.
“I think I have Jaegers with no pilots, and pilots wasting themselves by carrying around guilt for things out of their control.” That unshakeable mask softened. “I think I have what’s left of White Horse taking up a bay in my Shatterdome until her surviving pilot tells me what to do with her.”
It hurt to hear its name said out loud again, after so long. Something sharp and hot pricked at the back of Natalie’s eyes.
“I can’t Drift,” she whispered, shaking her head. “I can’t do it, Dick, I can’t let nobody in there again. I can’t risk it.”
The Boxer (T/S) - OC-Centric, pre-canon slice of life
“The children are asleep. They all crawled into our bed, though, so I think we will have to sleep in theirs,” Sylvie laughed softly.
“I can sleep in my chair,” Thomas offered.
Her smile slipped, and Thomas felt the misstep, even though he didn’t understand it.
“Are you hurt?” Sylvie asked.
“No. Not badly, anyhow. Just some bruises.”
She made an unhappy clicking noise with her tongue and moved forward to help him out of his coat. He did his best not to wince as he raised his arms and shrugged the heavy, woolen, overcoat into her hands. As she hung it up, she dipped into the pocket he always kept the winnings in and drew them out. It wasn’t much, but it was more than they would have without it, and Thomas let himself feel some small measure of pride as it was deposited into the empty coffee can they kept their savings in.
It would feed his children, keep a roof over their heads, put shoes on their feet and send them to school. That was worth a few bruises.

i’m writing the pacific rim au but i had to take a break the last two days because my college roommate started brainstorming with me and what we came up with was kaijufucker and kaiju kinnie discourse. which is, as you may imagine, very distracting and not at all helpful

can i ask why you like zombie fics? :0 and like. what tone/tropes/ect you like?
WELL. I generally just enjoy apocalyptic stories. I read the Left Behind series when I was like, 11, just because my dad happened to have all the books (hilariously, I don't think he ever read more than the first two or three lol but we had the ENTIRE series. 12 books. and I later collected the Left Behind Kids ones too skskdnfnskfnsk. hashtag just church kid things???) and it kind of just... grew from there. I don't think I ever really gave zombie stories in particular a second thought until I was like... 14 and a friend had mentioned that she watched the show The 100 and I just. got curious about it, bc it's already a post-apocalyptic story, which is enticing to me personally, and in the midst of my secondhand fandoming via that friend, I came across this one fic that made it into a zombie apocalypse AU. it's called "This Is A Song About Somebody Else" and the worldbuilding is just... AUGH it's just such good worldbuilding?? like the way zombie infection works in that story is SO interesting and the way it's shaped the world the author places the characters in is so well fleshed-out. (I will say, fair warning, there is some sexual content in the middle of it, but the worldbuilding and character arcs are good enough that I just kinda scroll really fast as soon as I hit that and continue reading once the scene is done skdcnskfnskfn). basically I attribute my love for zombie stories to that really well developed fanfic I read when I was 14 and then last winter spent literally two days scrolling back through AO3 to find again. and I've still never seen the source material!! I've never watched The 100 and honestly idk if I ever will!!! but I secondhand fandomed for a while and that fic gave me an interest in zombie stuff that continues to this day akdkxkanfndskfn
so the thing with apocalypse stories in general, including zombie ones, is that action doesn't cut it for me?? like my favorite apocalypse stories are Station Eleven (the book, not the HBO adaptation. I have thoughts on that that I might share at some point but idk.) and Gracie's (@imissthembutitwasntadisaster) apocalypse-verse and those are both... very quiet. almost mundane even as the world is ending/has ended. there's a calmness to it that I can't totally explain, but it's really just... life. living in the midst of things. and that's the thing that got me about This Is A Song About Somebody Else, too! there's calm. there's a sense of stillness that's fallen over the world and it's kinda chilling but also draws you in!! THAT'S what I think I love the most in apocalypse stories. (also — TLOU definitely gets the balance of action/mundanity right as well, even though being based on a video game there's a lot more action required than a lot of the stories I'm discussing here.)
and obvs when I'm talking about this stuff, there isn't just ONE THING I'm into regarding apocalypse/zombie stories. I like all kinds! I'm not picky tbh. but my favorites are when the worldbuilding is interesting and presented well, and also when the horror of the circumstance is very present in a way you the audience can really feel. I LOVE the horror of it all. but also, what it comes back around to is the perseverance and what makes it WORTH persevering.... the HOPE.

“Of course you’d enjoy this one.” Hermann says, completely unsurprised. “Water serpents.”
Newt crosses his arms. “Dude, we’ve been here for five seconds, and you’re already dissing me *and* the exhibit?”
(Or: A few weeks after the end of the Kaiju war, Newt and Hermann pay the Hong Kong Klimt exhibit a visit.)
Here’s my Newmann secret santa gift for @spacechampion! You asked for classic art references and post Drift effects, and I hope you enjoy! It was a very fun challenge! :DDD

Howdy, I think you might be making an ekurei shipper out of me XD I never really thought about them much but I'm really resonating with these posts. Not only that but I'm realizing that its so up my alley because I love love love like, unusual fantasy situations where characters experience intamacy in unconventional ways, something I feel like I don'tfind very often outside of my own and my friends' writing in our own lil corner. Like woah...the romantic potential of possession, being closer to your partner than humanley possible...imagine how humbling it would be to realized you are loved and trusted enough to be invited to share your partner's mind and body as an act of love instead just using that ability against strangers to your own ends...[cries a little] Who even needs that dang guard. Maybe I'm so enraptured with this stuff cause I'm ace, lol
Yeah yeah yeah that's it exactly!! The potential for sff to create types of intimacy that wouldn't be possible in real life is a huge part of its appeal! I've seen people compare Dimple possessing Reigen to Steven Universe fusion and I've compared it to drift compatibility myself and both of these things are very tasty, but for me it hits even harder because for them the intimacy is a choice, not a natural byproduct or an intentional prerequisite. Like, it's one thing for a sff setting to make an unconventional form of intimacy part of its worldbuilding like SU and PacRim do, but it's another thing entirely when it isn't an established part of the worldbuilding but something that the characters figure out on their own!
Like you said, for most of his existence Dimple has used possession as a tactic of violation and control. That's what you do when you're an evil spirit! It represents where he is at the beginning of the series; his view is that relationships are about who has the most power and who has the least, and if you have more you're going to use it to manipulate and subsume anyone less powerful than you. And then he starts changing! And by Season 2 he's using possession as a form of protection, not for himself but for Mob. Even when he possesses people without permission (Shinra and that one bully), he's not doing it to help himself! He does it to Shinra to get him out of danger (and says, notably, that if he let Shinra die then Mob would never trust him again), and he does it to the bully to protect Mob (and he stops when Mob says to!). And then in Mogami Arc we get the first instance of Dimple possessing someone because they explicitly asked him to, where he protects Mob's body while his soul isn't in it. Possession not only as protection but as trust! And you can tell from his reaction that this is something that Dimple has never considered before! And you can tell from how shocked he is during World Domination (manga) when he's able to possess an unconscious Mob that he especially never considered that trust like that could be an ongoing thing!
The point is, by the time Dimple meets Reigen in the middle of a psychic tornado, his concept of what possession can be has already undergone some major changes due to his friendship with Mob. But there's never been anything like what he and Reigen are able to do. There's been trust, there's been protection, but there's only ever been one consciousness in a body at a time. There's been vulnerability of body but not vulnerability of mind.
And it would have been easy for Dimple to push Reigen's consciousness down until they got to Shigeo. That's another thing that gets me; there's no reason that they had to both be awake on a technical level. But on a thematic level it is Everything to me that they're able to achieve a state that we've never seen before, that I bet if you'd asked them before this happened they both would have said was impossible, that is dependent on complete vulnerability and openness from two characters who will fight tooth and nail to prevent anyone else from seeing who they really are. It's about their shared familial love for their boy and it's about how much they understand each other in that moment.
And, like, I'm also ace, and generally not much of a shipper, and I tend to care a lot about group dynamics and platonic bonds, and I think that part of the appeal of ekurei bodysharing stuff is that even if you write about it in the most romantic way, you have to remember that the first time they did this it happened because of their shared platonic love for their kid so to me it feels just. Infused with all the different types of love and connection that the show is built on. Sometimes when someone focuses on a romantic relationship it gets deified in a way that undersells all the other bonds the character has, but for me at least romantic ekurei only works because of their other connections.

Yeah I wanna hear everything about your 911 pacrim aus please and thank you 💜
I've got one for lone star and another one for the og show !! they're separate aus for now but I might consider combining them for funsies <333 something about me is that I also love to fuck w worldbuilding a bit. so I see the concept for pacific rim and I raise you some more batshit concepts <3333 mostly I'm messing around with the worldbuilding surrounding the Drift+everything about that, as well as some of the mechanics of Shatterdomes and how they function at top efficiency and shit like that <33
911 lone star
TK grew up on the Shatterdome because both his parents were Jaeger pilots. Owen died in a battle when TK was pretty little (<3) and when TK got old enough, he became Gwyn's new copilot until she gets killed during a mission and TK has to kill the Kaiju and finish the op by himself. he wakes up in the medbay a few weeks later, and tries to stay on as a pilot but he has his mother's eyes and everyone who looks at him only sees her. and he fucking misses his mom. so he leaves and joins the construction teams.
Judd and Mateo are copilots (brothers <3333) and Grace is the chief technician at LOCCENT (Tendo Choi's position in the movie btw). Paul and Marjan are copilots, and Nancy, Tim, and Tommy were copilots in a 3-armed Jaeger, but all three are injured during a battle gone wrong and Tim dies in the medbay. their Jaeger is taken apart and rebuilt as a 2-pilot Jaeger, and Nancy and Tommy become a 2-person crew instead. Tommy's girls (and Charlie, when she's born) live at the Shatterdome with their parents, and all 3 crews (4, when TK comes back) share a communal living space (individual sleeping spaces + communal bathrooms/living areas/dining areas) above the launch bay that holds all their Jaegers. the entire Shatterdome is organized like this, with squadrons made up of several Jaeger teams all living/fighting together as a unit. <33
Carlos is one of the candidates for piloting a Jaeger (ofc.) he joined the PPDC after his dad was killed inside a Jaeger (and I will be getting into Carlos perpetuating the narrative cycle <333) and when they reactivate TK's old Jaeger, Judd volunteers to be the one to go get him (because they're BROTHERS <33) and so that's how tarlos end up as copilots <3333
I don't really have anything else after this other than vibes but there WILL be a scene where after winning their first battle, TK loses consciousness and goes into a coma because the ptsd and physical toll was a little Too Much. and since he was In The Drift when he lost consciousness he's kinda!! trapped in there!!! and Gwyn is there because she's become the Drift. she died in the Drift and now she's part of it. so TK's in the Drift Mindscape talking to his mom (baking cookies!!!!!!) while his body is fighting to survive. and since he's trapped in the Drift, the only thing they can do to save him is send Carlos in after him!!! so Carlos also gets to be part of the mindscape vision <333333333333333
another scene I have is Tommy and Nancy both going down in a fight and the remnants of Tim's essence still contained inside their Drift takes over the Jaeger and pilots them to safety because I will write about the Drift blurring the lines between life and death if it kills me !!!
now for Jaeger names!!!!
TK and Gwyn: Harmony Echo
TK and Carlos: Glory Echo (get it because it's an ECHO of the last Jaeger yet something entirely new??? Jaeger names are the PERFECT opportunity to make some symbolism so by god I will do that)
Judd and Mateo: Outlaw Hustler (I couldn't resist giving Judd a cowboy Jaeger name. I'm right about that <33)
Paul and Marjan: Cobalt Stalker
Nancy, Tommy, and Tim: Paragon Jigsaw
Nancy and Tommy: Paragon Rebel
og 911
kinda similar vibes with the Jaeger squadrons all living together because that's a fuckin good trope and I'm a sap <333
Hen and Chim are copilots, obviously. they deserve it <333 Karen is the chief Jaeger mechanic, so she designs the Jaegers and heads up the construction crews, and also is in charge of repairs/maintenance. Maddie is one of the LOCCENT technicians, along with Josh and Linda, with Sue being the chief tech <3
Athena and Michael used to be copilots, but their connection was damaged in a battle that put them both in the hospital and prevented them from being able to Drift again. so May became Athena's new copilot, and Michael becomes one of the mechanics (Michael and Karen bestie-ship is what I'm saying <33) and also. mothers and their daughters. that is all <3
Bobby is the Marshal, and his whole family was killed in one of The Very First Kaiju Attacks. thus, his whole mission to protect the world from them because by god he has a lot of penance to pay
Buck and Daniel were copilots, and even with his cancer, Daniel fought as long and hard as he could. but eventually he couldn't fight anymore, and because Buck's DNA wasn't a match, they couldn't save him from the illness. and Buck's parents were so distraught over their (favorite) son dying that Buck Drifted with Daniel as he died to try and save him, or at least give some comfort. and Daniel tried to stop him because he didn't want that for his little brother but you know how little brothers are. they don't listen. so Buck got to feel Daniel grow weaker and weaker and finally just. die. and after that he threw himself into training with the Drift because surely his mind could be good for something!!! but he isn't compatible with anyone else!!! and he keeps lobbying Bobby to give him a chance but there isn't anything Bobby can do about it!!! and Buck knows that but he also wants to get out there and do something because he can't escape his parents' contempt and maybe if he kills some Kaiju that can change!!!!
Eddie and Shannon were copilots until Shannon is killed during battle, and Eddie finishes the fight alone. he takes Christopher inland for a few years to grieve and try to move on, but then they recommission Eddie's old Jaeger and they need him back. and predictably, Eddie and Buck become copilots <333
Jaeger names!!!
Athena and Michael: Onyx Prime (a transformers reference?? in my pacrim au??? more likely than u think <3)
Athena and May: Onyx Widow
Hen and Chim: Eden Titanic
Eddie and Shannon: Danger Diablo
Buck and Daniel: Solar Muse
Buck and Eddie: Cosmic Danger
and ik these descriptions are focusing specifically on a certain relationship dynamic but just know that I FULLY intend on expanding on all of them equally because this is a FOUND FAMILY soulmate au more than anything else <333 I believe in equal treatment in the workplace <333

For the 40 questions: 20, 23 and 24 if I may:)
you ALWAYS may!
20. Describe your perfect writing conditions.
hmmm well honestly it varies! i can write just about anywhere and in any way and have, but i tend to prefer writing on my laptop with music playing in the background with some sort of edible treat i reward myself with every five hundred words or so. i also prefer the temperature in the room to be cool but my body to be warm because i’m bundled up in layers. aaaaand i enjoy having a conversation going online as i work so i can stop every so often to disengage and message back (often with sneak peeks if relevant).
23. If you were to revise one of your older fics from start to finish, which would it be and why?
hmmmm honestly probably “unloose the beauty of your eyes…”—it’s a pacrim fic and i haven’t really properly been IN the fandom in years but i feel like it’s got so many fascinating concepts and worldbuilding potential in it, but because i wrote it quite literally while in a hypomania episode (20k precisely in one sitting) back in 2019, it suffers from some rough edges, both due to the state i wrote it in and, frankly, because i just wasn’t as skilled a writer then as i am now. it’s good, but i feel like it could be improved, you know?
24. Have you ever deleted one of your published fics?
oh god. uhhhh. yeah. i think all of us, once we’ve been in fandom long enough, have deleted at least one or two things here and there—it’s unavoidable, especially when you’ve been writing seriously from the time you were a young teenager. i think most of what i deleted were old, bad warrior cats fanfiction. everything else that was of a comparable quality luckily never made it off the paper i wrote it on.

From the ask meme
What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?
some beast will find you by name... for a few years, i was really just fucking around half-heartedly in my google docs, not really committing to any projects. and then literally one day i was joking around with my friend about a yugioh/pacrim AU and then i was like "....wait" and i sat down and i started writing and i kept going until i had 50k and i rewrote half of THAT before I posted it and started writing an elaborate outline for like 15 chapters' worth of stuff. it was the first project i really, really cared about in a really, really long time. i learned SO much about outlining and plotting and characterization and worldbuilding just by going forth and DOING it, writing THE THING THAT I WANT TO READ, which is an intricate meld of ygo canon with pacrim lore where every relationship feels specific and unique and every character feels like themselves even in a vastly different world. have i accomplished this? yes, i think so. some beast is my special baby. ranger kaiba is my angry sad asshole man and i love him.
i am really, really frustrated with myself because i gave in to the siren call of other projects and now it's been on hiatus for like two years but i am going fucking crazy with excitement to get back to it!! IN 2023!! PREPARE FOR NEURAL FUCKIN HANDSHAKE!!!!

According to the pacrim wiki, Coyote Tango was the first jaeger the program lost. By that time, Pentecost and Tamsin were not piloting anymore. It was June, 2016.
The order of pre-knifehead fallen jaegers is:
- Coyote Tango. Destroyed in combat against Itak. On its second set of pilots. June, 2016.
- Victory Alpha. Destroyed in combat against Raganarok. The pilots survived. July, 2016.
- Tacit Ronin. Abandoned because its pilots died of neural overload. July, 2016.
- Lucky Seven. Abandoned because one of its pilots was decommissioned. 2019.
Following this pic from the wiki:
Tumblr media
We know that the first jaeger was launched in 2015 (Brawler Yukon) and the last in 2019 (Striker Eureka).
The golden age of the jeager program was from 2017 to 2019, three years of gaining more than they were losing. The peak was in 2019, with 20 active jaegers. The bottom was in 2025, with no jaegers left.
2024 was the year with more deaths, with 8 j-pilots going KIA. Then 2025, with 7 deaths between the Double Event that killed both Cherno and Crimson, and Operation Pitfall, who claimed Pentecost and Chuck.
Between 2019 and 2023 there were 9 KIAs.
Which means Yancy was the first jaeger pilot to die on combat. It makes sense, given the reaction of Penecost to hearing that they had lost Gipsy's signal (and Yancy was dead).
It marks:
- 2019-20: 1 lost jaeger, 1 pilot KIA.
The list of fallen jaegers Post-Knifehead:
- 2020-21: 2 lost jaeger, 1 pilot KIA.
- 2021-22: 3 lost jaegers, 2 pilots KIA.
- 2022-23: 2 lost jaegers, 3 pilots KIA.
- 2023-24: 8 lost jaegers, 2 pilots KIA.
- 2024-25: 0 lost jaegers, 8 pilots KIA.
- 2025: 4 lost jaegers, 7 pilots KIA.
Let's compare all this info with the following Kaiju War Timeline from the wiki:
Tumblr media
A) 2013-2014: The Feral Burst. There were no jaegers yet to defend humanity against the 3 kaijus that invaded the world.
B) 2015-2019: The Long Game, Part I. There were 24 jargers up around this period, with a total of 13 kaijus making contact.
Special mention to the Beckets, who got an impressive mark of 5 kills during those years. It means they helped killed more than a 1/3 of those bastards during the golden era of the jaeger program. For what I see, Raleigh is the only pilot who had ever abandoned the jaeger program because he wanted to, not because he was hurt or kicked out.
C) 2020-2023: The Long Game, Part II. The amount of kaijus who invaded in those three years equals the amount of kaijus who made contact within the first 6 years of the war. It means the precursos sent as many kaijus in half the time. Humanity went into this phase with 19 jaegers. By the end they had 4.
2024 reports 13 kaiju attacks. It makes sense that they lost 8 jaegers and 10 pilots more or less in that year. With 12 jaegers active, it is more than a 1vs1 situation. Something tells me that most of Striker Eureka's kills were during this phase.
Special mention to the Hansen, btw. *During Chuck active years, he participated in almost third of the kaiju killings that happened then. I don't know Lucky Seven's score in this race, but *Herc's win amount to a 1/4 of the whole kaiju fights during his active time.
*The count stops at Mutavore. It does not include the Double Event or Pitfall.
If we include Post-Mutavore but not their participation/assistant at killing Leatherback:
- Chuck: 11 kills, 35 kaiju appereances during his active career (almost a 1/3).
- Herc: 12 kills, 44 kaiju appearances (not counting 2016 and adding at least 2 kills of the Lucky Seven era; around a 1/4).
Yet again, if by statistics alone, Mako is the most winning jaeger pilot of the movie. In her active years there had been 5 kaijus and she has helped kill 4. It's worth mentioning that her debut was on a double event followed by a triple event, with the only Category-5 ever saw. Impressive, to say the least.
On the other hand, Raleigh has helped kill or killed himself almost half of the kaijus that had appear on his active years.
Here: (ratio is 19-20 kaijus, 9 kills).
- 2025: 6 kaijus, 4 kills.
- 2015-2019: 13-14 kaijus, 5 kills.
The Hansens record is impressive just in the sheer size of their killing count, which is still not complete given I don't have the info on Lucky Seven. Meanwhile, Raleigh and Mako are impressive for the efficiency record.
Of the 51 kaijus that invaded the Earth, Gipsy and Striker combine to 20 kills. That means 2/5 of the total.
The last three j-pilots hold the best or most insane records of the program. Herc with the most wins, Mako with the best efficiency and Raleigh fucking Becket who had solo piloted twice and explode a jaeger in another world.

On one hand hyperfixations are one hell of a drug and I enjoy going absolutely batshit crazy over things but on the other hand when I’m not hyperfixating on anything i get really productive on making original content and I love that too

okay so I may or may not have the entire plot of a MDZS Pacific Rim AU in the form of disjointed rants to a friend of mine.
it includes Jaeger mechanic/inventor Wei Wuxian, pilot Twin Jades of Lan in the middle of a silent fallout, Wall investors Jin clan, K Scientist and master doctor Wen Qing with way too many PhDs and unexplained successful comms officer Nie Huaisang, on top of many more things.
I need to collect all the info I have on it at some point because the extensive Pacific Rim AU is something that every fandom needs
