I Like You

You don’t know why you even bothered coming here in the first place, but yet here you are.

One of many parties thrown by Tony Stark who by the way dragged you here.

You make sure to greet everyone that you know, sending soft and welcome smiles to those you don’t before you make your way over to the bar and sit down.

You order a porn star martini and tap your heel on the side of the stool, glancing around the room to see what everyone is up to.

That’s when a soothing voice breaks you from your daze, causing you to jolt slightly.

“Sorry i didn’t mean to scare you” you turn your head to find him sitting next to you... Bucky Barnes.

You know of him, seen him around at other events but you’ve never spoken to him. He’s a friend of Steve’s but you and Steve aren’t all that close so he never introduced you to him.

“It’s fine, my own fault for daydreaming i guess” you giggle nervously.

He’s hot, of course he is but he’d never like you back. A girl can fantasise though, right?

You’ve never really had a proper relationship, or at least one that counted. Sure you’ve dated but it never ended well. The guys were all jerks and you began to give up hope of a guy actually ever treating you right.

The last one lasted a good 4 months, he was nice enough for a while and then bam, he cheated.

Tony has tried to set you up a couple times, so have Natasha and Wanda but it’s not your style, being set up that is.

You’re picky and prefer to scout the guys out yourself rather than have someone do it for you and besides, you’re enjoying the single life right now. Being alone and having time to yourself to focus on work and building your confidence up.

“So, i’ve seen you around a lot, you know at these parties” he speaks up, you sip at your drink.

“Yeah, i’ve seen you too. You’re Steve’s friend right?” he nods, you do too.

“I gotta say though, i’ve been meaning to talk to you for a while tonight. I just, every time i tried to, i got too nervous” he chuckles, your eyes widen.

You make him nervous?

Why?

“I’m sure i don’t” you look around the room, avoiding his eyes.

He doesn’t like you, you’re just taking it the wrong way. The man is probably nervous around new people. You’re not his type, surely.

“You do, i’m sure you get that everywhere you go right?”

Okay, what is his deal?

“I actually don’t” he looks shocked, his jaw practically falls to the floor, his eyes grow wide and he shakes his head.

“What?”

“Are you single?”

What even is this?

“I am indeed, yourself?” he nods in response.

How can a guy like him be single?

“I’m sorry i just, i never expected you to be sing-” you cut him off.

“What is this huh? Some sort of prank? You chatting to me to win a bet?” you snap, your words coming off meaner than intended.

“N-no, it’s not a bet. I like you or at least like how you look. I just, i’ve heard so many great things from everyone and you’re beautiful. I just wanted to ask you out but didn’t wanna jump straight in before probing a bit that’s all. I’ll leave to it, sorry for the trouble”

He gets off stool, your heart sinks, you stop him.

“Wait”

He turns around

“I’m sorry”

“It’s not every day that i have guys flirt with me so i just, i got a bit defensive. I guess i just assume that no one would want to even talk to me let alone find me attractive” you look down at your hands but not for long.

He lifts your head up with his finger under your chin.

“Well then they are fools and i better snap you up whilst the queue is short” you can’t help but giggle again. He’s funny not to mention very hot.

“So is that a yes then?” he raises his eyebrows at you, waiting for your answer.

“It’s a yes” you sip your drink, getting off the stool.

You lean closer, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek.

“Great, i guess i should get your number then right?” you take the phone from his shaky hands, typing the number into it before walking away.

“Text me your address gorgeous and i’ll pick you up at 8:00″ you smile as you walk away from him and into the sea of people.

Okay Y/N pull yourself together, this is not the time to get the nerves.

He’ll be here any minute. It’s 7:58pm and he said he’d be here at 8:00.

You have 2 minutes to pull yourself together.

*3 KNOCKS*

That’s him, omg. He’s early.

You let out a deep breath, trying to relax your tensed shoulders.

He mentioned that he wanted you to dress casual so you have on some high waisted black jeans with a yellow top, thin straps and low back. You check yourself out in the mirror before grabbing your bag and coat and heading to the door.

You open it to reveal him stood there, jeans and a white shirt. He looks so good. You feel your legs turn to jelly at the sight.

“WOW” he ogles you, not even trying to hide it.

“What?” you smirk

“You just look really good. I don’t feel good enough to be going on a date with you” you wave him off and step outside.

“Oh shush, you look good too by the way. Anyways where are we going?” he shrugs.

“That my dear is a surprise” he tuts at you.

His hand brushes past yours as you walk, still unsure of where he’s taking you.

“So, tell me about yourself. How long have you been single?” you sigh at his question.

“A year now. I’ve not had the best experience with guys. They all ended up using me for sex or cheating i guess”

“God, i’m sorry to hear that. Steve mentioned about you being you know”

You laugh again.

“Trans? Yeah you can say the word you know it’s not a swear word. But yeah, i find a lot of men lately just want to mess around or have a girl but not be too serious about her and i grew tired of it so i decided to stay away. So when you approached me at the party, i didn’t think in a million years someone would actually like me and want to talk let alone be nervous to talk to me”

He takes a hold of your hand, holding it as you talk.

“So how come you’re single?”

“Well let’s just say women do like me but not the ones i want” you feel your cheeks heat up.

“So what is your type?”

“I like women with something to them. Women who are independent, sassy and of course women who are sexy”

He lets go of your hand, coming to a halt.

“Of course i don’t just want anyone though. I want you. I know that’s cliche but yeah. So i plucked up the courage to ask you out and here we are” he gestures to the sight in front of you.

“A fairground. OMG” you squeal, taking his hand in yours and running through the entrance.

He gets you some tokens for the rides and attractions.

First up, bumper cars.

“Alright alright, you won. Happy now?” you roll your eyes.

“Ecstatic”

You can’t help but smile from ear to ear as you grip onto your giant panda stuffed toy that Bucky won you at one of the games.

“This panda is quite literally the fluffiest and the largest thing ever. He’s going to be taking up a whole lotta room in my house”

You walk side by side, back to your place.

“What you gonna name him?”

“James”

He told you his first name, so it only seemed right to name the panda after him. After all, he did win it for you.

“Very cute”

“Just like you then huh”

You come to a stop as you reach your house.

“So this me” you nod.

“I had the best time tonight” you second that.

You look into his eyes, getting lost in them. It doesn’t take much.

You see him leaning closer, you follow. Your heads both tilt, coming closer until your lips touch.

The kiss is magical, like nothing you’ve ever experienced before.

“I’d love to see you again”

“I can’t say i blame you. When?”

He looks shocked, as though he can’t believe you want to see him again too.

“How’s Friday?” your smile is getting bigger.

“Perfect”

“I’ll see you then”

And with that, he presses another kiss to your lips, a little more open mouthed this time.

“Goodnight Y/N”

“Goodnight Bucky” you walk away, swaying your hips.

I haven't been keeping up with suju since 2010 when I graduated school, omg help?

I am trying to very logically sum up 7 years and I’ll admit, I totally cheated on some parts. And I won’t list every solo activity, that would take days to write.

2010: I knew of SuJu. I just didn’t know them. Siwon was in a Kdrama called “Oh! My Lady” so when I researched him, Super Junior came out. And I was like ???? they’re all handsome??? halp???

2011: A magical year. All the boys personalities start shining, they’re more confident and they’re grown men, literally look at siwons abs bruh. The album: Mr. Simple sells a shitload. Best songs for me? Opera and Superman. SKIP BEAT! DONGHAE HELLUUUUR MAY I SAY MORE. HIS OUTFITS GORGEOUS, HAIR TO DYE (yes i spelt it like that on purpose) FOR. FLAWLESS. (i am biased) SUPER JUNIOR M: TAIWANMEI. high five eunhae in the back! (10 points to slytherin if you can spot it in the video! and by slytherin, I mean me bcuz i’m slytherin)

2011- continued: EunHae duo exists. Awesome singles. Seriously. These two are like milk and cookies. Eunhyuk is smooth like milk and Donghae is so cute and heartwarming like chocolate chip cookies.

2012: A difficult year leading into 2013. Kangin returns (he left in the first place because of the scandals surrounding him) and his voice is widely missed truly it made some of the songs for me. But Heechul and Leeteuk go for military service. Amazing album, gorgeous posters (flower boys) I legit cried over the poster in HS. Endless EunHae marriage comments. It was beautiful. also panda and hedehog, awkward kisses on hae’s part (like srsly bro u ever kiss before?? letz not forget them hickiessss. I mean that happens in 2013 but srsly…srsly) Listen to “Spy” for fingers and suits. Listen to “Sexy, Free and Single” to feel awesome about yourself. Listen to “Gulliver” cause Eunhyuk wrote it by hisself. Listen to “From U” which is “For ELF” and the Eunhae action we got in the live show oh yeah hae chest, KRY vocals ON POINT.

End of 2012: Bad. Very Bad. Big scandal of IU and Eunhyuk. It was terrible like legitimately terrible. It almost caused Eunhyuk to quit everything. Everyone turned on him, even some so-called fans. He was so depressed and even Donghae suspiciously posted lyrics to a song implying someone being deceitful. It was odd and I believe he deleted it. Eunhyuk went low-key for months. It was that bad.

2013: Hero. Its a Japanese song, but done very wonderfully. It’s really cute. Blue world is about ELF again, but the video is a little too blue. EunHae again: Listen to “Still You” and sob at that elevator scene where they’re supposed to pretend to be in the elevator at different times but instead gaze into each others eyes. great acting 100%. SUPER JUNIOR M RETURNS WITH AN ACTUAL ALBUM: Listen to “Breakdown” everyone’s outfits and hair on point. cue donghae exercising too much and ripping his jacket like a pack of skittles. (see if you can spot it in the video!) Yesung enlists and we all sob.

2014: SUPER JUNIOR M AGAIN with a single “SWING” watch the beautiful Henry say “uno dos tres” like a pro, the on-point dances, the office attire, sexy mustachio of siwon making its fierce apperance and most of all suspenders.on.donghae. you will drool, i drooled, we all cried and sobbed. Super Junior: MAMACITA. Heechul and Leeteuk return. The album was pretty much flawless and the best from these lovely boys since Mr. Simple. Listen to “Mamacita” for quirkiness, “Shirt” for Donghae’s songwriting skills, and “Evanesce” for feels. SUNGMIN IS MARRIED. Everyone flipped out. A ton of ELF felt betrayed and I will admit, I honestly thought it was a shotgun wedding. I didn’t mean to disrespect Sungmin, it legit happened that fast. Again, I apologize to Sungmin for being selfish.

2015: EunHae’s The Beat Goes On. I own this album. I own the poster. I own my feels. Listen to “Growing Pains” for Donghae’s amazing songwriting skills, srsly let my boy write everything and “Sweater and Jeans” for Eunhyuk’s growing vocal skills (vintage sweater and jeans Sungmin and Shindong enlist. Super Junior’s Devil drops with the return of Yesung, his beautiful voice was greatly missed. MY BOYS WENT TO THE MILITARY. Donghae left on his birthday and I cried like a bitch cause Eunhyuk went two days before him so they could get out together. Siwon enlists a month after in November.

2016: Yesung drops a single “Here I am” and Ryeowook drops an album “Little Prince”. Ryeowook enlists.

2017: EunHae will return July 12th and July 14th, respectively. And Siwon will return August 18th. Kyuhyun decides to enlist so everyone will pretty much fully unite by 2019.

I am feeling the love guys!

I have been gone for months and I know I haven’t been forgotten because while I was gone I was nominated for this award by the always sharp and murdery Krystin @ Here’s The Fucking Twist!

This award is great because there’s such a variety of questions and answers and it helps bring exposure across the blogging world!

AND it’s run by an Aussie so I’m inclined to like it that little bit more!

Krystin’s Questions

Honestly, these are all super great questions and I have no idea how the hell I’m going to come up with my own!

I’m the worst at coming up with questions. I always hated whenever I was assigned to interview someone is school because it meant I had to socialize for one, and then on top of that I had to create questions for the people I was being forced to talk to!

That makes it sound like I hate being tagged in things like this…I promise I don’t!

The reason I much prefer these types of things than the assignments from high school years past is because I get to socialize in the comfort of my own home, behind a screen with other introverts who love books as much as I do!

I’ll still struggle to come up with questions though.

1. If You Could Have Any Fictional Character Come To Life, Who Would You Choose?

I have too many favourite characters and most of them would probably try and kill me.

Maybe I’m struggling so much to choose one because I don’t really want any of them to come to life. I might be the only one here, but I like my favourite characters in their books because honestly?

I’m scared I might not like them in real life! Also, how am I going to enjoy my favourite books if all the characters are just out and walking about in my world?

If I had to pick I might choose Monty from The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue.

Just to get his version of Shakespeare works because that would be hilarious!

2. What Popular Book Do You Actually Hate?

A Court of Thorns and Roses!

I absolutely hated that book, liked the second one though but God damn was the first one hard to get through.

Tamlin reminded me of everything I hate. Feyre’s choices made me want to scream and Nesta pissed me off any time she was on the page.

3. If You Have A Boat, What Would You Name It?

Well, this is a question I wasn’t expecting!

It would probably be something literary because that’s how I name almost everything.

I’ve not read any really scary books but I have read one that was so creepy it had my heart pounding.

7. What’s Your Favourite Ice Cream Flavour

Usually anything with lots of chunks of stuff in it! I don’t like just normal plain ice cream. After my year long obsession with Ben and Jerry’s in 2015, I can’t go back to basics!

But if I could to pick up any ice cream I’d probably go with the Clusterfluff from Ben and Jerry’s!

It’s peanut buttery goodness and also I just really love saying Clusterfluff.

And now that I’ve googled it, it looks like they don’t have it in Australia anymore!

I guess I should pick another one then!

I really like the Connoisseur Matcha Green Tea one!

I also just discovered the Connoisseur Hazlenut Icecreams and OMG I could inhale those if I didn’t have any self-control.

8. Who Would You Want To Play You In A Movie About Your Life SO Far?

9. When You’re Having A Bad Day, What Do You Do To Make Yourself Feel Better?

Different things;

I read or watch Youtube.

A couple of years ago I was getting really moody when I was PMSing and would go out of my way to get into to arguments so mum would just yell at me to go watch Youtube for a while and calm down.

If I want to use my brain then I’ll usually blog.

Usually, all I need is to just write a post where I vent about everything and get it out of my system and then delete most of it, just keeping a little bit in my post.

If I want my brain to turn off completely then I watch trashy reality TV.

If I want to feel like my life is less of a shit show, then shows like Real Housewives are great. If I just want a laugh and maybe a little cry then RuPaul’s Drag Race is always a good option.

If I just need to cry, like get it all out, then watching something I know will have me crying is always good.

I tend to pick up Grey’s Anatomy for this. But more often than not I’ll stumble onto something sad when I need it.

If I just need a really good laugh through my tears, then progressive sitcoms work wonders.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine helped me get through a particularly bad time.

Seriously it was the only thing that could stop me from crying for so much as a split second one night.

10. What’s your Favourite Season?

Autumn!

It’s the perfect mix of cold but not too cold that it makes my FMS flare up and cause pain.

11. What Books Do You Have On Request At The Library?

Go by when I’m writing this up it’s

Lumberjanes, Vol 9 Lumberjanes, Bonus Tracks Rat Queens, Vol 5 Giant Days, Vol 7 Giant Days, Extra Credit Princeless: Raven the Pirate Princess, Book 2 I Hate Fairyland, Vol 3 Raw. Vegan. Not Gross.

I always have a lot of holds on at any given time because I put a hold on the next graphic novel of my favourite series as soon as I finish the one previous because they take the longest to get a hold of usually.
