Miss Heed And Stolas Have Some Unsuspected Similarities

Even though Miss Heed reminds appearance wise of Verosika, I realized she and Stolas are basically the same type of character but the difference is how they are treated by the narrative. Stolas and Miss Heed are presented as old childhood/teenhood friends who come from privileged backgrounds and in the past used the characters for their selfish means. In the present time both still use their supposed love interests for their own means and lack any self-awareness of how harmful their actions are.

However, the biggest difference between Stolas and Miss Heed is the fact that the former isn't treated as toxic and is even pitied because of his bad marriage and having a neglectful father. On the other hand, Miss Heed has shown she too has sympathetic qualities like having low self-esteem and replacing it with her social media obsession, but one thing it doesn't do is the fact it holds her accountable for her actions and doesn't try to make it seem everything is okay. The biggest problem with Stolas is that it whitewashes his actions and tries to shift the blame onto other people including Blitzo himself. However, that doesn't erase the fact he acted manipulative towards him and leveraged the book so he can have sex with him. The narrative tries to make him a sympathetic woobie when it really just makes him more disgusting and unpleasant. This again in contrast with Miss Heed who the narrative reminds us is a pos and doesn't try to coat what shitty stuff she does.

I also noticed how the relationships progress from that episode. The episode from "Heedous Heart" knows Miss Heed still has feelings for Flug, but it's the fact that she uses and abuses people to feel better about herself makes it clear that their can't be a relationship because it would end up with her just using him over and over again. And frankly Flug is wise to see it and leave her where she is instead of enabling her like he did in the past. This is in contrast with the end of "Ozzie's" where instead of validating Blitzo's right to put his foot down with Stolas we are meant to see it as him being too closed to open himself up. And the biggest focus is just on how sad it is that Stolas wants him but Blitzo won't let him in (despite the fact that Stolas used him to satisfy himself). And that is another similarity, both of them (Stolas and Miss Heed) use people to satisfy themselves regardless of how they feel and will whine when they don't get their way. Again with Miss Heed is a sign of her immaturity, while with Stolas it's a pathetic attempt at making him sympathetic.

Elaborations on my ongoing AU (and some info as well)

In this AU Dr. Flug works for P.E.A.C.E. instead of working for Blackhat. As it turns out, Flug discovered that P.E.A.C.E. is not the good organization that they portray themselves to be. Backhand deals, double crossings, and many more illegal activities are done right under the noses of the public. He was shocked, to say the least, but then again.... he enjoyed the thought of doing evil. So, he decided to drop all his hard work of becoming a villain in order to pursue being a part of P.E.A.C.E. However, in order to do that, he needed to catch the big man's attention (General Falcion). He brainstormed for three days before coming to a conclusion,

He was going to apply for the hero program and get a sample of the serum they have been injecting the students. Then tinker with it to make a more effective one. Document all of his work as a research and publish it to a public domain site.

It was quite easy to get in the hero program as he was already a student for one of P.E.A.C.E.'s programs. He never would have thought that this so-called 'hero program' would be so... brutal. His first weeks were good. Not to agonising or too out of bound. Mostly just lectures about P.E.A.C.E.'s history, mission, vision, and rules. "Well, this is easy. What could possibly go wrong?" Flug thought to himself.

Oh, he was so so very wrong. The second week became a very eerie and creepy time for him. Even though it mostly consisted of days when students were being called out to be injected with the serum. Most of them didn't come back. Some did, but not without some sort of alterations in their physical and mental states. He gulped. What happened to the others who didn't come back?

"Kennings Flugslys. Your next.", the professor said as two guards stand at the doorway to escort him through those two white heavy metal doors. He looked at the two men, and two men understood him. "Look, kid.... just be strong, alright? We are not that sure if we'll see you again but.... I'm sure you're a tough one, right?", the other one said before Flug entered the room.

Flug was immediately greeted by five scientists, and one asked him to sit down on the reclining chair upfront. He nodded and patiently waited there till he felt a needle prick him just for a split second. At the first hours, he didn't feel much, just a slight feeling of impending doom. Three hours, he felt something trying to burst out of the side of his skull. It hurt, sure, but nothing he couldn't handle. Six hours, he feels his blood boiling, and his skin starts to peel off. The scientists were startled by how fast the serum was working on him. They stood there watching Flug wail in pain as he tried to gather some of his skin that had already fallen off. He was crying and started to look up the ceiling and cried out for God to save him. It was.... excruciating to watch for most of the scientists, four of them left. Leaving one to observe Flug. The last one just wanted to puke and ran out of the room to try and regain some sort of sanity in her. No one entered that room for 12 hours, afraid of what they might see. But they had to after their supervisor told them to. They brace themselves for whatever horror the aftermath was.

They were shocked to see a naked Flug on the floor. Everything was.... intact? His skin was not falling off anymore. He wasn't screaming or was banging on the door. Though there were blood stains , proof that what happened 12 hours ago did happen. When they tried to approach Flug, he immediately scurried away from them in fear.

For the next days, scientists have tried to figure out what happened in those 12 hours that Flug was left alone. They tried getting a sentence out of him, but he refused to talk. That is the thing that attracted General Falcion to young Flug. His mysterious circumstances that he obtained this unknown power of his. He also tried to get Flug to open up but was rejected harshly. Out of anger, he decided to torture him for the information. This caused Flug to react violently and unleashed his harmful abilities, which in turn caused General Falcion a total damage of 3 million. Along with his dead employees, he managed to land a high dose tranquilliser on Flug to knock him down and stop further damage. Flug was soon classified as a special case and was given an emergency code if he ever was to go on to lose himself again. This code was named MELTDOWN. Soon, Flug graduated from his flight program and was hired immediately as a scientist for P.E.A.C.E. (to keep him from becoming a villain or rebell) after his mental health therapy. General and Flug became close after spending time together planning and meeting with each other. Falcion saw Flug as his son, and Flug saw him as a person he could trust. Even though Flug is prone to hiring villains and doing evil things, Falcion makes a pass and turns a blind eye to it (because Flug is very important to P.E.A.C.E and himself personally). Though in his mind and in public, Flug is a good kid.

Info:

☆Flug suffered a total of 22 hours because of his body's fast reaction to the serum. He took note of that and experimented on his bodily fluids to find what caused that reaction. It was his recessive gene, meaning he can amplify the serum by adding his saliva, blood, etc. Successfully making him an instant celebrity and billionaire. He hated the attention (but he actually finds it useful in getting people to agree to his morally and ethically questionable experiments).

☆Flug still has lingering feelings for Cecilia(Miss Heed). But his hatred rained more than his old love for her. In his eyes, he fell for Cecilia Amanda Kelly, not Miss Heed.

☆He and Goldheart have a "I hate you" and " I love you" relationship. Flug sees their relationship as platonic, but Goldheart sees it as a potential romantic relationship. And yes, they would sing, "Anything you can do, I can do better."

☆Falcion often scolds Flug for eating and sleeping too little like a parent would.

☆Yes, my au Flug is a lot more malicious and sadistic than our canon Flug (he's such a pookie)
