Here it is. The most awaited poster from @calligraphymasters where 27 calligraphers across the world came together and designed a letter. I am fortunate to get this opportunity for the second time. I selected my favorite letter S. I went with multi line cadels, carrying on from the CM 1.0 poster where I had designed B. The moon

The moon has many flaws and scars, while the sun is beautiful and perfect, she lights up more than the universe.. She lights up people's world when they're not feeling themselves. The moon used to try and make believe the sun was her best friend when the sun didn't know that she existed. The moon tried makeup to make herself more beautiful and she tried to hide her flaws. She compared herself to the sun. She tried to be beautiful and bright, she just couldn't.. The moon hated how dim and boring she was. People would ignore her and hate on her, she was self conscious about her looks after that, she used to be bright like the sun but she got hurt by people's rude judgements about her weight or how much money she has. Moon's friends had always thought bad about her until they hated her so much they left her in the dust and replaced her. Then they started bullying her into trying to kill herself until she couldn't take it anymore and she fell into depression at only 9 years old. She hated how she looked and talked. Moon thought her name and voice was like a boys, she hated that, she started talking differently because of this, she tried to be someone that isn't her. She hated herself so much she started hurting herself. Trying to get help she lost herself in the pain. By the time the moon was 11 she had been diagnosed with severe depression.

She was always sad and crying, isolating herself from the others and having been by herself at all times. In 7th grade she had started seeing “stuff” and was entered into a psych ward for maybe 2-3 weeks. Let's just say it was horrible. Moon was terrified she had no idea where she was and who was there. She was devastated her family would put her in a place such as this, she hate herself she wanted to die right at the moment she's lost in her pain she cant get out, the people had pascribed her 2 medications, she hated it it made her feel horrible she felt sick and not hungry, tired, just even more not like herself. She hated it there after she got out. She acted better. She put on a smile and let everything go even though she was mad. Moon took everything out on herself. She hated everything. At that same moment blood dripping down her legs she weeped and cried, tears falling off her cheeks she pleaded to the sun to come save her.. She was running in the dark in the trees through the night falling, scraping her bloody legs. She cried loudly, she needed help but she had no one at all she looked everywhere for the sun. the moon was thinking to herself what she should do. She couldn't find her light/sun. She wanted to hug them but they didn't know the moon. She wanted somebody, anybody , she needed affection, body warmth. She ran away, far away and nobody cared when she was 11-12 she was alone, her father was in prison and her mother was on drugs and not doing well. On her 12 birthday neither her dad nor her mother showed up. Only her grandparents and cousins were there, do you know how that feels? Knowing her parents werent there for her. That hurt. Later on her mom was in rehab and her dad got out. She was excited to finally see her dad after 5 years of waiting. He sent her letters and cards. She knew he loved her around a year after he got out and got a girlfriend. Moon had met her around halloween and the moon shaved her head before as well she had put a bad impression on her. But it was the funnest she had in her whole life. She found her sun. it was her new mom she had brightened her life. She brought a brother and a new family into her life. She loves her life now. She's a different person.

Sitting posture:- Try keeping both feet on the floor while you’re writing. If you notice yourself getting stiff or tired, stand up and stretch for a few minutes. Writing techniques:- •Move your whole hand and wrist when you’re writing. Do not restrict your fingers when you hold the tool . •In calligraphy, letters are typically made with a number of strokes. To ensure your strokes are visible and each line is precise, lift your pen after you make each stroke. •Compare the negative space in your letters. A while ago, @fabercastelldeutschland was so kind to send me their Calligraphy Studio Box in exchange for reviewing it. The box contains 12 lightfast and waterproof calligraphy felt pens with a broad tip (roughly 2 mm) in a range of rather natural shades, here the warmer hues (the colder ones include white, two greys, a blue and a green). I’m by no means an expert in broad pen calligraphy, which makes me maybe a good person to test these! The nice thing about calligraphy felt pens is that you don’t have to hassle with technical problems like ink flow, which nibs to use etc., so they’re very beginner friendly in general. What I find pleasently surprising with the Pitt Artist Pens specifically is that they are really firm and hold their shape quite well. Also you can get nice hairlines for serifs, flourishes etc. by tilting them a bit. So, thanks Faber Castell! I’d love a lighter grey-blue instead of the many brown tones, but that’ just me (if you look around my feed, I do like my light blues …), and maybe a red that is a tad less magenta / pink. But overall – lovely to write with! :: I was practicing Kurrent capitals using an exemplar by master scribe Wolfgang Fugger (1553). You can see that they look *very* similar to Fraktur capitals – as he puts it (roughly translated from German): »The versal or capital letters / are made and varied in different ways / as you can see on the opposite page / you can use them with all Kurrent / Chancery / and Fraktur scripts / but in the larger scripts / as in the Fraktur / you can add flourishes (as shown before) / but in moderation / and as much as the circumstances demand.« — Sometimes I think I like researching script at least as much as writing! :: I tested the pens also on white paper, but I really think they look great on grey – here I used the calligraphy pad by @pascribe! :: #calligraphy #madewithfabercastell #pittartistpencalligraphy #kalligraphie #kalligrafie #caligrafia #gothicscript #kurrentscript #kurrentschrift #gothiccaps #calligraphypen #calligraphypad #pascriberhodiapads #rhodianotebooks #calligraphypractice #kalligrafieüben #calligraphyreview https://www.instagram.com/p/CPYKpZ4An3F/?utm_medium=tumblr

Today I am sorting through catalogues of catalogues on Old Master Drawings & Prints and Early Printed Books and Manuscripts so I can clear this shelf trolley and place them in their home in the library. The day has come. Starting from Zero. This spiral bound book means so much more than it looks like. It will always remind me of evenings on Periscope, quiet mornings of practicing. Hunting for the right nibs, papers, guidelines ... and many occasions more. #copperplatescript got a new meaning for me, since I have been starting to listen more closely to the huge knowledge of Paul Antonio.
