Okay I think I am going to take a short socials break after this but I just wanted to make a few points.

1. As I said, you have all been so incredibly sweet and it’s super heartwarming and I don’t know what I would have done without y’all rallying behind me

2. Please nobody send hate to Marcia, and don’t send hate to the original poster either, that will just fan the flames (I don’t think any of y’all have been or would, I just want to make where I stand on this clear!)

3. I don’t think Marcia had malicious intent retweeting it — especially given her taking it down relatively quickly. The fault lies with the person who posted the original tweet. That being said, after all of this, I have some very complicated feelings regarding Marcia and I ask that that be respected, for me and anyone else who feels that way. I don’t think any of us hate her or wish her ill will, and once this is less imminent I may go back to stanning her, idk! But for now I have very complicated mixed uncomfortable emotions surrounding her and I think I am allowed to feel that way given that whatever fallout there is will inevitably center around me, and I am fucking terrified about that fact.

4. Again I love you all and I’m so grateful for how sweet you have all been. I may pop in here and there to message friends but I probably won’t be posting much if at all for a bit, and I’m gonna go on a bit of a writing hiatus while I figure out next steps

I love you all and I love this community and I hope that this is all a blip in the past soon, but for now I need to prioritize my safety and wellbeing and that means separating myself a bit 💕

I started working at Amazon! My first day was yesterday and it's been pretty cool so far! They gave me this ugly orange vest so i drew DP's reaction hdhdhdj

They are very accepting and inclusive, there's so much pride stuff everywhere with all these different pride flags and information on them and posters with information on historical lgbtq+ figures which is also awesome! I haven't actually started doing anything yet but ya boy is about to be forklift certified 😈

HEY update timeline info!

ik i’ve been sharing more snippets lately and that is because my life has finally quieted down a bit (i finished the two giant massive huge projects i’ve been working on at my job for the last two months! one was a poster w the most detailed illustration i’ve ever done! like i spent 20+ hours on that bitch! & the other was a 40-page magazine i art directed & designed by myself from scratch! and now they are both DONE and subsequently have taken on the role of being my biological children! AND i actually followed through & uploaded them both to my portfolio site in a timely fashion!) so now i have lots more creative energy to work on writing chapter 9 🕺🕺

no set date bc i don’t do those, but since it’s been a while i just wanted to update u that it’s coming along easier now! 💞💖💕💗💕💖💞

February/March 2024 Update: Extended Hiatus

Hey guys!

So, ASD’s hiatus might be a bit longer than I expected…

You see, I think my life is starting to take a bit more of a different direction than it originally did, with the main reason is me considering making my first Visual Novel (which is based on a canon series that I know). So of course, it's going to require a lot of practice, watching tutorial videos, time, effort, and dedication. However, I am uncertain about the exact amount of time it will take. While I would like to believe that I can manage both a VN and ASD simultaneously, the truth is that it won't be easy. Therefore, I have decided to focus solely on my visual novel project as it would be more manageable for me.

I hate to make this decision, but as I’ve said countless times before (sorry 😅), the truth is that ASD is based on a story that has ended long ago. Although I don't want to let go of ASD yet, I want to focus on developing this new Visual Novel, in which I plan to work on alone also as an indie developer. This project may take a few months to a year, or even longer. Therefore, I must be honest and say that I don't know exactly when I'll be back (or if I am coming back). I want to come back, but it will take longer than one month. So, I'm technically going on an indefinite hiatus, but I hope to return to ASD in the future.

You are still allowed to send asks, but this blog might be inactive for quite a while, or at least the story itself will take a break. Maybe I’ll come back within time to post some EQG & ASD-related art from time to time. Now, do I recommend that you unfollow me? No, I don’t. I mean, I wouldn’t want you to. However, it wouldn’t be right to hold you here either 😅 So the choice is solely yours.

If your still looking for some Sonata Dusk askblog content, I recommend @sunsets-serenade. It’s the only MLP/EQG blog that I know it’s still active at this point. So all in all, the Ask Sonata Dusk story is on a semi-indefitnite hiatus, but it might post from time to time for art. I’ll let you guys know when I’ll return to continue the story!

Thank you everyone for following Ask Sonata Dusk for all these years. I hope to return soon one day!
