The kids love going to the Play Factory as a little treat with their friends to play and eat! You can just buy a bowl of chips or go for a full meal or have a cappuccino etc. It's also not expensive for the time there considering you can stay as long as you want and when you have multiple kids like myself, it all adds up (this isn't an ad)

There are two play areas - one for small children under 5 and the other for over 5. Both of the play frames have places to climb, slides, steps, places to look out and swing and build.

The Playfactory also have a special toddler time from Monday to Friday - which includes a biscuit and a tea or coffee for the parent/guardian. Also available is the hungry monkeys sessions mid-week term time which includes play time and child’s food at a reduced price.

They cater for birthday parties with a choice of themes - Oscar had his fifth birthday there - opted for the hot food so he was pretty happy with that! Both hot and cold food is provided for a birthday party with a 2 hour time slot in the morning or the afternoon. You can even hire the whole play facility if you wanted.

Parents and guardians can make use of their free Wi-Fi too - think the aim is to go and let the kids run off wild and free but with my youngest that isnt an option!

April was definitely a testing month! Between Winnie breaking her arm, me getting coronavirus plus the half term and parenting in general it's definitely been a hectic few weeks! The weekend was nice though - granted was too ill to actually do anything but the kids enjoyed unlimited tablet time (single mother of 3, gotta do what I gotta do to survive)

The Easter halfterm consisted of just being in Hospital with Winnie and then coming home and not being able to do an awful lot, which actually the kids didn't mind. We've seen Sonic 2 at the Cinema and been at the Playfactory plus caught up with friends.

General update because I've been MIA -

• Oscar turns 8 at the end of the month.

• Winnie has an x-ray for her arm this Thursday, it was an insane split with a grade 3 supracondylar fracture so the surgery was an hour long and probably go under anesthetic again to get the pins removed but will just see what they have to say Thursday.

• Trix is doing OK, as OK as an 11 year old against the world can be. She's at a hard age. The days are tough. Gotta be honest, some days are incredibly challenging.

• Still got tendonitis, had a physio appointment 2 weeks ago and next appointment is via phonecall to talk about foot physio/foot therapy. Work out wise I've either just not been able to work out because my injury/no childcare/winnies injury and when I have had chance to go it's been low impact like Pilates or yoga, also introduced Aquasize into the equation (the whole pool is a giant resistance band basically)
