Now, this one does not make as much instinctual sense as the SPD OT5 or Casey/RJ or Jayden/Antonio, where the relationship development is the backbone of canon, but writing these five idiots was so satisfying that I wrote the original one-shot in FIVE DAYS and that was my record on length of a one-shot until DECEMBER OF LAST YEAR. Sometimes, when Jack is looking at his arm, at the familiar green and red and pink and purple ink on his skin, he sometimes wishes- and he hates admitting it- but he sometimes wishes that there was blue there as well. He can’t explain the reasons why it feels oh so wrong to not have blue ink on his arm as well, why he feels like there's something not complete about the colors of the marks on his arm, but he can't help it. And it makes him feel like a piece of shit, thinking that way, because he fucking loves all of his Soulmates. Each one of them carries a piece of his heart, and he loves them to the ends of the Earth. His day would not be complete without Bridge’s rambling logic, Syd's flair, Z's selfless heroism.

But he also knows that he wouldn't be the same man without Sky's stubbornness and attention to detail tempering out Jack's more reckless tendencies. Sky is just as important a part of the team as the rest of them, and sometimes Jack wishes that that extended to the marks on his wrist.

N, E, W, headcanon ask for the RPM pairing of your choice?

New AU: Okay, so the end of all things never happened, but they all still met on Dr. K managing to get out of Alphabet Soup by going a different route and calling for help using the computers she had access to. This leads to her message being found by Dillon (then Jack), who insisted to his superiors that something was wrong. Bringing him to a mechanic on the force (Flynn) who new a guy in the military who could help (Scott). These three boys eventually hit a road block in the data because it had to go through one of the Landsdown corporate trusts, and whole the Landsdown parents weren't willing to help, by this time they had already broken Summer's heart and she was beginning to pull away from them, so she snuck out to go to where the guys were staying, but ran into Ziggy when she got lost in the bad part of town. Ziggy, being the fundamentally good guy that he is, lent her a ride on the bike he'd used that day to get away from the cartel so he could get Summer to the other three. All five were unwilling to let things end at that, and end up in a sort of self-sustaining heist situation once they find a link to contact Dr. K and realize there's more than just her safety riding on this. Emotional Themes: Let's see-- Summer has fluctuating low self-esteem from being emotionally neglected and realizing that her parents would never love her the way she needed. Scott has episodes of extreme anger brought on by the PTSD of his brother's death. Flynn has a need to please and be useful in a way that seems just to be built into his personality but is actually a form of manic depression. Dillon has the amnesia, existential crises, body dysmorphia, dissociation, and a small eating disorder. Ziggy has the classic signs of untreated ADHD, being malnourished, hyper-awareness, and tactile avoidance. They're all a mess, basically. But they're trying. Wingfic: Sometimes people are called to their soulmate through their wings. Sometimes their wings develop after meeting them. Sometimes it's a little of both. For Scott, Flynn, and Summer, they grew their wings the same day they met at the end of Most Things. Each a blank slate of cream white until they laid eyes on each other and their Ranger colors took root in each others feathers. Loving yellow at the root, bracing red at the tips, sturdy blue in a stripe along the upper joints. When Ziggy and Dillon came along, then came the black undersides for the appearance of a threat, but with the green camouflage markings like hyper rare rainforest birds. In the end, they all looked like a bouquet of Birds of Paradise, and their cuddle sessions always included preening.

Power Rangers 2017 Headcannons

What if when they got really angry,(or any strong emotion, but it started with anger) their eyes glowed? Like Jason's fighting with his dad or something, and he feels this really strong spike of anger, and suddenly his eyes are just kinda glowing a bright red?

Or someone was insulting someone on the team near Trini and she turns to glare at them, and they just see this kid whos eyes are just fucking glowing yellow?

Or someone on the cheer team find out that Trini or Billy was hanging out with Kim and cornered them about it, just being really rude, and one goes to grab their arm, because they weren't going to just stand around and listen to them, and Kim was around and grabbed the kids wrist and her eyes are bright pink.

What if they got characteristics of theirs zords? Some more than others?

Jason has sharper teeth than before, and eats more meat than he did, has more muscle on his thighs.

Billy is extremely sturdy and hard to knock over and doesn't eat as much meat.

Kim has really good eyesight, and eats fish more than she used to.

Zack eats more vegetables, and his hair grows faster in the winter.

Trini's sense of smell is almost ten times as strong as a normal human, and can kinda smell if someone is sick(cats can do that, I was exited to do this one because cats) she can see in the dark a lot more, but is a bit nearsighted, she can hear if someone is near or walking near, her eyes do the cat thing when its really bright (you know.... the cat thing

That thing) she doesn't blink as often as a human and you can't win a staring contest, and people are often unnerved when she doesn't blink in a long time (mostly teachers) and could stay still for a long time.

In photos they have to concentrate so that their eyes don't do that thing when you take a photo of an animal and their eyes glow because for some reason they do that and its hard to explain to people when they ask but Kim and Jason would just say its a filter and Trini would stare at you until you left, Zack would say something weird and nobody asks Billy about it because someone asked at school and got four death glares so distracting they didn't pay attention to what Billy was saying.

Does anyone here remember when I decided to grab three randomass characters from two different seasons of Power Rangers, NONE OF WHICH HAD EVER APPEARED ONSCREEN TOGETHER, and went, hey, I wonder what the hell would happen if we shipped them together? Just for shits and giggles? And wrote a coherent 6k oneshot that actually made their character arcs deeper and make more sense than the show's? Now that was a proper crackship!

(Anyway, I was putting together the last of the playlists for this series and stumbled upon my Matt Griffin/Heckyl/Levi Watson fic. And remembered how batshit insane I could be back in the day. Because I don't remember how I thought of this concept, just that it worked out weirdly well. Also led to some of the funniest scenes in the series when Chase/Ivan found out that Heckyl was not only Riley's brother's Soulmate, but that Heckyl and Matt had another gold ranger as a Soulmate. I'm still tempted to write the world's funniest family dinner ft. Heckyl, Matt, Chase, Ivan, Brody, Levi, and Preston.)

Ranger Eclipse Headcanons

Billy: made glasses for the rest of them so that they could see it, got themed snacks from his mom, found the prime area on the cliff to view it three days before, is the only one fully ready for the event

Jason: broke his pair of glasses within 5 minutes, thankfully there were spares, didn't even know it was happening if he's being honest

Trini: Space Nerd™, has memorised 57 new facts about the eclipse and tries to be subtle about slipping it into the conversation, fails, Billy loves it when he finds that she knows more stuff than he does

Kim: forgot about it until that morning when Trini called her gushing about the eclipse, decided to buy donuts then got a cookie cutter to make them eclipse shaped, claims that it's the same thing as cooking

Zack: asked Billy for another pair of glasses so that he could show his mom the eclipse, was almost late to meeting the rest of them cause he wanted her to get a perfect view, kept making fire nation jokes the whole time
