Praying The Psalms - 3
I love you, Lord God, and you make me strong.  (Psalm 18:1)
Jesus is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. (Psalm 18:2)
I call upon you Lord Jesus, You are worthy to be praised, you are my salvation. (Psalm 18:3)
He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. (Psalm 18:16)
He led me to a place of safety; he rescued me because He delights in me. (Psalm 18:19)
Your right hand upholds me, You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping. (Psalm 18:35,36)
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.  (Psalm 19:1)
I boast in the name of Jesus, He answers me in the day of trouble and grants me my heart's desire. (Psalm 20:1,4,7)
I shout praises to the LORD! I shout the LORD's praises in the highest heavens. (Psalm 148:1)
I lift up my hands and praise the LORD!  I sing to the LORD a new song. I sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful. (Psalm 149:1)
Why pray the Psalm scriptures out loud?
It is hard to think about something other than what you are talking about.  Praying out loud the scriptures solves the problem of the wandering mind.  -- spoken words speak to the soul and have the power of raising thoughts in the soul. The Psalm scriptures speak of God in the Highest manner which most fully expresses the power and presence of God.
Strong's definition for "meditate" - HAGAH (Greek) - means to imagine.  First pray the scripture out loud -- then pray the scripture back to God.  This prayer can be the prayer of thanksgiving, supplication, or praying the greatness of God and the benefits of God.
The first thing that you are to do when you are upon your knees, is to shut your eyes, and with a short silence let your soul place itself in the presence of God.
When you direct any of your petitions to Jesus let it be: thou art the radiance of thy Father's glory.  Thou art the Alpha and Omega,  The beginning and the end of all things:  Thou has destroyed the power of the devil and hast overcome death.

Warning to the Rich
Come now, you who are rich, weep and wail over the misery to come upon you. Your riches have rotted and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and consume your flesh like fire.
You have hoarded treasure in the last days. Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts.
You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in the day of slaughter. You have condemned and murdered the righteous, who did not resist you.
Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer awaits the precious fruit of the soil—how patient he is for the fall and spring rains. You, too, be patient and strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near. Do not complain about one another, brothers, so that you will not be judged. Look, the Judge is standing at the door!
Brothers, as an example of patience in affliction, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. See how blessed we consider those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen the outcome from the Lord. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
Above all, my brothers, do not swear, not by heaven or earth or by any other oath. Simply let your “Yes” be yes, and your “No,” no, so that you will not fall under judgment.
Is any one of you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? He should sing praises. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick. The Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail. Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth yielded its crops.
My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, consider this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and cover over a multitude of sins. — James 5 | The Reader’s Bible (BRB) The Reader’s Bible © 2020 by Bible Hub and Berean.Bible. DOING BUSINESS WITH GOD
As Believers who are seeking to advance His Kingdom we have the right and privilege to do business with God.
Why does we need us to do business with Him?
1. God has given mankind dominion over the earth. Therefore, we have the authority to release Him to work when we pray. God has never violated the free will that He gave humankind.
Psalm 8:4-8 says: "What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen—even the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas."
He does not violate the authority He has given us. To do so would be a violation of our free will. Understanding how Kingdom authority works is absolutely essential if you want to walk in the fullness of God's purpose for your life.
Why authority and dominion matter in our prayer closets: It matters because God has given dominion over the earth to men. Therefore, if we want Him to move on the earth, we must ask. History is full of stories of God moving when there was prayer. If we want God to move, we must pray.
PRAYER OPENS DOORS AND PROVIDES A WAY WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY
Father is so serious about our prayer assignment that He actually gave us the Helper to help us pray! The Holy Spirit of grace and supplication has several specific jobs, but one of them is to move through us in prayer. Romans 8:26-27 says: "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the Saints according to the will of God."
We have dominion over the earth. If we desire to see God move on the earth, we must pray.
God has always desired to converse and even reason with mankind. God desires the best for us now. Even if some things are stored up for the future, they can be pulled into the present by the prayer of faith.
PULL ON GOD THROUGH FAITH-FILLED PRAYERS
Then remember Moses, who interceded before God for the lives of the children of Israel. It was God's plan to wipe them out and raise up a new nation from the offspring of Moses. But Moses reasoned with God, and He changed His mind.
God's reasoning is the kind of reasoning that God encourages us to logically present His Word back to Him in prayer. Psalm 138:1-3, "I will praise You with my whole heart; before the gods I will sing praises to You. I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your loving kindness and Your truth; for You have magnified Your Word above all Your name. In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul."
When we reason with God His way, we search out the deep things of His Word to discover His will for our lives individually and for the whole earth. Then, we go boldly before God's throne of grace as the kings over the earth that we are. From that position, we are to present our requests to Him with prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving—based on His own Word. When we pray God's own Word back to Him, we have assurance that we will receive whatever we request.
1 John 5:14-15 tells us this: "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."
QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF:
Starting in 2024, will I set myself apart to seek Him morning, noon, and night?
Will I go boldly before His throne of grace, praying specific prayers with the expectation that He will answer me?
Will I accept the challenge to do business with God on purpose?

Lord,
Today I give you thanks. For all that you do for not only me but for the ones I love, the ones I have never met, and the ones who are reading this prayer now. Without your presence in my life I would be lost. Your love gives me strength and the courage I need to get through my daily battles. When I feel alone, you are holding me. When I feel sad, you are give me a reason to smile. When I'm angry, you make me realize it will pass and life is to precious. And most importantly, on days I feel like my Faith is out of sync, I know your standing in my shadow waiting for me to reach for your hand. Never leaving my side. Thank you God for all that you do. Your love is something I don't deserve but each day you find a reason to believe I do.
Today, I ask you, Lord, to bless those who need you. Those who are struggling with guilt. Those who also feel like they don't deserve your love. May you show them that even tho we are adults, when we pretend to still be little, we will ALWAYS be your children, and your love for us will never fade. In diapers, in onesies, playing with toys and excaping our daily lives. In a space that's safe and fulfilling, may you show that your presence and acceptance will always be there. 🧸🩷
In Jesus name I pray, Amen
1 John 4:16
