As a christian, you need to understand that your FAITH alone is enough to change the lives of the people around you. DONT stop praying for your loved ones that haven’t encountered God yet.

I feel like God put something for me in the homily this Sunday. The priest was talking about a woman who was very promiscuous is her youth but then found God. She was praying one day and Jesus gave her a vision of her place in Heaven and she was confused to find that it was among the virgins (not to say that not being a virgin is inherently not virtuous.) She asked Him why and He said there was nothing he could not wash clean. I feel God put that in there for me as over the weekend I (yes I am underage, he is not, and I regret this, don't be stupid like me kids) sent people my nudes under pressure/coercion from people and under that same pressure posted them. I feel like He put that in the homily to let me know that I can and should come back to Him. God wants us to be with Him and will wash away anything. This also is a great time to point out that no rational Christian would say that the abused (idk if that would be my situation) is the sinner, that's straight from the Catechism, if you're Catholic.

But I don't believe in church, I'm part of lgbtq+, I'm doing Christian mysticism, I don't really agree with the Bible and I support abortion

I was in Walgreens once and there was a man who was wearing a gigantic, ornate crucifix necklace—but a tee shirt in Hebrew and a big star of David tattoo. I felt so understood

What I look like "giving someone a piece of my mind" and defending Jesus:
Tumblr media
Lol I just a babyyy!
I kind of imagine Him patting my head and chuckling like "there, there little one, the battle is Mine not yours, thank you for the consideration though"

💗♱A little prayer♱💗
Lord Jesus, who came to heal wounded and tortured hearts, I pray to you, heal those wounds which trouble my heart; especially I am asking You to heal what makes me sin. Please come into my life to heal from those who hurt me as a child mental traumas and the wounds left by them, which accompanied me throughout my life.

Doubting your worth? Read this
Most Christians (if not all) have doubted their worth. We see famous figures in the bible such as Moses, Gideon, and Naomi doubt God's power. Humans tend to be negative creatures, often ignoring what's good and focusing on the bad parts of ourselves. If you find yourself getting worked up because you don't think God can use you, don't worry, it is normal to get these thoughts, but the most important thing is how you respond to these thoughts of doubts!
You may be asking "Well, how do we respond to thoughts of negativity responding my worth?"
But everything you need is in the Bible (literally)! Think about it this way if you are prepping for a debate, you normally come up with some form of rebuttal since you expect a counter-argument, right? It's the same thing when you read the Bible, you are prepping yourself with TRUTH (the Bible is TRUTH) so then later if you find yourself doubting you can overtake the claim.
Still confused, I made out this mock-scenario of how you can use the Bible to rebuttal doubting thoughts.
Negative thought: "I was a mistake"
Responses BASED in the Bible:
"You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed." - Psalms 139:16 NLT
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." - Psalm 139:14 (NIV)
Negative thought: "God cannot use me"
Responses BASED in the Bible:
"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." - Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)
"For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him." - Philippians 2:13 (NLT)
Closing message: We all have experiences with poor self-image, but God wants you to know that He loves you, He has great plans for you, He created you for a purpose! The thing is... will you accept the truth God has declared or will you accept the lies that the enemy whispers.
love you all
-neema
