A (non exhaustive) list of Whitestone related dreams I’ve had. Please note this is all in the span of about four months. I will elaborate upon request.

The whitestone church camp dream where The Briarwoods and Anders found Jesus and banded together with Cass and Percy to try and lead Anna Ripley to God’s love.

The one where Delilah Briarwood had to talk to my therapist for me (and neither of us knew who that therapist even was). Mystery therapist informed me that everyone has an owl, a snake, a lion, and a skunk in their brain, and that they must learn to work together if we wanted to get anywhere in this life. In this same dream, Delilah looked at me with a mix of pity and exasperation upon learning that I had 50 brothers who were all dancing gangsters.

The one where it was literally just the basic plot of whatever happened in whitestone during the Briarwood occupation, except it took place in the house from American Horror Story and one of the side characters was played by Jack Black.

I forgot the actual plot, but I do know it included weeping angels-esque glass statues, pike blasting a demon horse with the everlight, a really crazy apartment complex, and Percy levelling up to become the almighty Percival.

The dream where both percy and dr Ripley very seriously informed me that marine biology was a huge red flag

The one where Delilah worked for a couples therapy/conflict resolution agency and was telling this married couple to remember to use “I” statements and be honest about their feelings. Then the dream jump cut to the room being set on fire and everyone shooting laser guns.

Fish abortion.

The one where Ripley and Cass were on some secret mission and Ripley insisted on using the pseudonym “Hannah Ripley”, swearing that no one would ever guess it was really her.

Follow up to my last ask: Vex was gifted the Third House by Percy that initially belonged to Stonefell or Vedmire? And the house also included the Anders family crypt which resided on said property right? But Anders uncle was the former head of the grey hunt, and their family did not live in the third house. :/ The layout of the whole thing is pretty confusing to me, but is that the reason why Percy said the title was only his to give and not the crypt?

The third house, if I recall correctly, was originally Stonefell's, which is the one that burned down. Anders lived in the castle as Percy's tutor, as an aide to the Briarwoods and likely because he wasn't the immediate family of Regae Anders - his uncle who was the last head of the Grey Hunt and died a few years prior to the Briarwoods attack.

The Anders family crypt does not exist on the house's grounds, I believe - if I recall rightly - that it's over in the Greyfield by the Zenith. And as a family mausoleum, it probably exists under other property rules than the Whitestone noble houses. The noble houses could be disposed of as the ruling family chose, most likely to cadet branches or the head of the Grey Hunt, etc. - as we see the Briarwoods assign new nobles to each houses, and choose to keep Anders himself close rather than giving him one of the houses, even given one had previously been his uncle's.

However, as Anders betrayed the de Rolos, the family crypt could be confiscated on those grounds instead, which is why it was repurposed to a Raven Queen shrine - fittingly, as Byron Anders was a Vecna cultist! To give his family crypt over to a goddess who opposed Vecna's domain of undeath is a very fitting punishment.

At least, this is how I understand it. Hopefully it makes sense!

This one time I had a dream where whitestone was a church camp tv show and Cass and percy were walking around teaching us about Jesus and forgiveness.

First, they met Anders holding a Bible and he was said “hey kids, isn’t it great we found the lord?” And they said “sure is!” And kept walking. Then they went to the big lodge and saw the briarwoods holding a conference on Christian healing and repentance.

Then they all banded together to try and convert Anna Ripley. They found her in a cave worshipping a lovecraftian entity and then everything blew up.

I don’t sleep anymore.

Okay actually. The fact that in Inquistion, the whole game they treat Anders like shit at the drop of a hat. The most positive thing even a Hawke set to Condoned/Loves/Alive can say is ‘he’s complicated. Not a hero or a monster, or maybe both hero and a monster.’ EVERY time he’s brought up, it’s; “Oh, he’s evil. He ruined things. He went too far. He protested peacefully for 7+ years after a lifetime of experiencing oppression and minority violence, but then he pulled the switch on a trolley problem and blew up a building with 40 people in it and caused insane fighting in Kirkwall to instigate war before the Right of Annulment was in effect, while there were enough Mages to have a chance, and succeeded and started a revolt across southern Thedas that gives Mages their first shot at freedom in 600+ years. (An act which he immediately submitted himself to judgement and death if asked for, with no resistance, because he took the innocents among his casualties seriously even when it was obviously for the greater good). But it’s evil, because he combatted oppression with force.”

But then you get a character with the most Mr. Intellectual Dudebro ‘other people aren’t human to me because they’re not enough like me’ take most of the game apparently, whose society is suddenly retconned to be a European slaver intellectual opulent society, deciding he’s going to nuke the whole planet and his people’s current way of life (based on indigenous cultures) and commit genocide against every other race so his best most perfect race can go back to how it was in High Society times, which after ONE YEAR of being awake he can somehow tell??? Is worth it??? And no other society is good enough? ONE. YEAR. No alternatives it’s supremacy genocide or nothing. But he’s sad about the fact he’s doing it so clearly it’s sympathetic and in fact the whole bullshit is framed as so sympathetic you can choose to spend the ENTIRE NEXT GAME trying to bring him back to the light???
