Op maandagavond 17 april van 19.15 tot 20.00 uur wordt een nieuwe live-editie van De Ondernemer Draait Door gestreamd. De online talkshow is een initiatief van Platform Veilig Ondernemen (PVO) Noord-Holland. De uitzending ‘Maak gehackt van de Hacker’ staat in het teken van phishing en ransomware. Het doel van de talkshow is om mkb-ondernemers in Noord-Holland bewuster te maken van de risico’s maar ook wat je er zelf tegen kunt doen. De presentatie is in handen van acteur en presentator Frank Lammers. “Grotere ondernemingen in Noord-Holland lijken zich steeds beter te beschermen tegen de risico’s en gevolgen van cybercriminaliteit. Het is van belang dat ook mkb-ondernemers maatregelen treffen,” aldus Josefien Hofstede, woordvoerder bij PVO Noord-Holland en sidekick van Frank Lammers tijdens de talkshow. “Op 17 april nemen we de ondernemers uit Noord-Holland drie kwartier mee in de wereld van phishing en ransomware.” Presentator Frank Lammers zal tijdens de uitzending een tal van onderwerpen bespreken waaronder het belang van het doen van meldingen bij cyberaanvallen, de rol van de gemeente bij de aanpak van cybercriminaliteit, de aansprakelijkheid van de ondernemer en medewerkers bij cyberaanvallen en de mogelijkheid tot verzekering. Door zich te laten informeren kunnen ondernemers hun kennis over cyberveiligheid vergroten en naar eigen inzicht passende maatregelen nemen tegen cyberaanvallen. Ervaringsverhalen Tijdens de talkshow komen ervaringsverhalen aan bod van Jan Rosier, ondernemer en voorzitter van de Hoornse Ondernemers Compagnie en Daan van Es, commercieel directeur van verzekeraar De Heer & Partners uit Haarlem. Van Es spreekt over een situatie die hij vernam van een van zijn klanten, “Via een achterdeurtje in het systeem van een klant kwamen cybercriminelen hun bedrijf binnen. Met vervelende gevolgen voor een aantal van hun afnemers.” Corien Fahner, plaatsvervangend hoofdofficier van het Openbaar Ministerie in Noord-Holland, gaat tijdens de talkshow in op hoe succesvol strafvervolging kan zijn en wat de rol van de ondernemer daarbij is. Deze bijeenkomst, gericht op zowel mkb-ondernemers in Noord-Holland als op medewerkers van het OM en politie, heeft als doel ervaringen over cybercriminaliteit te delen en de noodzaak van samenwerking te benadrukken. Toename slachtofferschap cybercriminaliteit De aandacht en actiebereidheid bij Nederlandse bedrijven voor digitale veiligheid neemt toe. Wel onderneemt 1 op de 5 kleine mkb’ers nog altijd in het geheel geen actie om digitaal veilig te zijn. Dat blijkt uit een door het Ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat uitgevoerd onderzoek: Alert Online 2023. Belang van de bijeenkomst Het initiatief voor de bijeenkomst “Slachtoffer in Beeld” komt voort uit toenemende bezorgdheid van het Openbaar Ministerie over het groeiende aantal slachtoffers van cybercriminaliteit in het bedrijfsleven, gecombineerd met een lage meldingsbereidheid bij ondernemers. De bijeenkomst brengt het OM, politie en ondernemers samen om ervaringen te delen en het belang van samenwerking, meldingen en aangifte te benadrukken. Sprekers en Programma De bijeenkomst wordt ingeleid door Xander Koppelmans en Jildau Borwell. Koppelmans spreekt over zijn ervaring als ondernemer en slachtoffer, Borwell deelt uitkomsten van haar promotieonderzoek over de impact van cybercrime op slachtoffers. Verder is er een paneldiscussie met alle betrokken partijen, waarbij belangrijke kwesties met betrekking tot slachtofferschap, risico's en preventietips worden besproken. Slachtoffer als ervaringsdeskundige Ervaringsdeskundige Xander Koppelmans vertelt over de schokkende gevolgen van een cyberaanval voor zijn bedrijf, waardoor hij alles wat hij had opgebouwd met zijn bloeiende reclamebureau verloor. Bestanden, foto's, filmpjes – hele producties werden voor zijn ogen uitgewist. Ondanks zorgvuldige en weldoordachte beveiligingsmaatregelen werd zijn bedrijf slachtoffer van een cyberaanval. De middag wordt geleid door Corien Fahner, plaatsvervangend hoofdofficier van het Openbaar Ministerie Noord-Holland en lid van de Raad van Toezicht van het PVO Noord-Holland. Zij heeft een duidelijke boodschap voor ondernemers: “Zorg dat je als ondernemer niet het slachtoffer wordt van bijvoorbeeld hacking, ransomware of CEO-fraude, want dat zorgt voor veel schade en verdriet voor je onderneming en ook voor jou persoonlijk. Wees alert op deze vormen van fraude en neem maatregelen om je bedrijf te beschermen. Wij van het OM helpen graag, maar om de daders te kunnen pakken hebben we jullie nodig, dus doe altijd aangifte.
