Okay I’m too tired to keep listening to Dark Heir but I’ve got a whole bus ride home so I’m going to spin Black Butler thoughts at you all.

(Idk how coherent this is, I’m sorry if it’s rambly my brain is SO dead but it wants to Talk so)

I’m thinking about… the gradual build of Sebastian’s fear that he could actually lose Ciel, as we go:

The asthma attack in Circus Arc: not ultimately serious, but a danger to Ciel’s wellbeing Sebastian had not been aware of and cannot easily fix

The fight on the Campania, where Sebastian is very seriously injured himself, to the point where he’s in danger of losing Ciel to Undertaker because he can’t physically stop him from being taken,

Which leads into THIS fucking moment in school arc:

which is entirely fueled by Sebastian’s fear that Undertaker will snatch Ciel out from under him, AGAIN, because he did it before

AND THEN GREEN WITCH ARC HAPPENS, where Sebastian gets within literal minutes of losing Ciel to the gas, and WOULD HAVE if Sieglinde hadn’t been there or hadn’t been willing to help them

And still in Green Witch Arc, even AFTER Ciel has physically survived, Sebastian nearly loses him anyway because he backslides so dramatically into a PTSD episode that it nearly voids their contract

All of which is why by the time you get to the Blue Cult Arc, Sebastian is so genuinely afraid he might not be able to protect Ciel that the scent of blood from a single needle prick makes him do. This.

And now, with bizarre dolls getting ever more advanced and better at hiding from Sebastian’s senses and the whole police force mobilized against them, I’m very ready for Sebastian in Brighton to be doing everything short of wrapping Ciel in 19th century bubble wrap. I’ll frankly be shocked if he lets Ciel out of his sight for more than five minutes.

But the thing is. The thing is. Narratively, there isn’t much further you can ratchet up the stakes for Sebastian (at least until you get to the moment of truth with the contract and eating his soul, which is a different conversation). Ciel being put in danger or hurt again isn’t going to do all that much to alter their relationship at this point. Sebastian is already about as whipped as the poor guy can get.

What would be a change, is Ciel nearly losing Sebastian.

There’s been—for obvious reasons—much less risk and fear on that front. There has been some build for it:

Red Butler Arc, encountering reapers, Ciel sees Sebastian fight an enemy who can actually hold their own against him for the first time (and while I don’t think this is confirmed, I suspect Grell’s chainsaw eating his shoulder is the first time Ciel sees him get injured for real (as opposed to allowing himself to get shot and playing dead just for the sake of being a dramatic bitch))

Curry Arc, Agni successfully fights Sebastian to a tie (which is why I’m VERY interested to see if Soma turns back up in the Brighton arc as well, feat. angry Kali powers)

[The murder arc is a fake out, because Ciel knows he’s fine the whole time]

On the Campania, Ciel sees him get very badly injured. This is the one and only time Ciel has real cause to fear for Sebastian’s safety, as such.

And since then, while Sebastian isn’t quite untouchable, he hasn’t really suffered any serious injury or physical danger to himself. There have been defeats or fights that didn’t end perfectly for him—such as the school arc fight—but Sebastian hasn’t been existentially threatened. Ciel, I think, still has pretty high confidence that worst case scenario, Sebastian can always just pick him up and make a run for it (indeed, part of the reason things got so bad on the Campania was because they were trapped on a boat). And even if Sebastian couldn’t save him, Ciel—to the extent it’s even occurred to him—doesn’t have a lot of reason to think he couldn’t save himself.

This is now the second time Ciel has lost everything—his title, his name, his home, his safety, his dignity and respect. The first time was worse, obviously, but he’s got to be feeling the similarities.

The first time, Sebastian pulled him out of his despair by offering him the power to escape.

Now, the second time, he at least still has Sebastian by his side. A Sebastian who is going to be laser-focused on protecting Ciel from all possible threats.

But what happens if Ciel thinks he might lose Sebastian too?

Optimus:

he finds your outlook on things is a nice change of pace compared to the more pessimistic views that some members of the team can have at times

values your compassion greatly, often turning to you as a confidant over the time you’ve gotten to know each other. a mission went wrong and he’s putting all the blame on himself? you’re there to reassure him in a heartbeat, reminding him that he did his best and there’s always another chance; you keep him grounded

has an innate interest in art and writing - he used to be an archivist, after all

so he enjoys watching you indulge in your hobby, your excitement about it reminds him of his younger years of being a clerk at iacon when he would become giddy over a newfound archaic text

he’s very fond of you and makes sure you know it, taking note of the small things you like and getting you whatever little gift he can manage to find - genuinely thinks you’re cute and likes seeing you happy :]

Ratchet:

while it may have taken him a little longer than the others to warm up to you fully, he grew to start looking forward to your company (despite his his best efforts to hide it)

he appreciates your quiet company; you’re much less rambunctious than both the other humans and his own team - you complain a lot less too, probably one of his favorite qualities about you

like optimus, your bubbly attitude gives him a much needed break from the dreary duties that come with being the autobot medic

you often find yourselves working in tandem, with you sitting on the couch working on your newest project while he stands at his terminal typing away. occasionally you’ll walk over with a nervous smile, and with a roll of his optics he’ll lower a servo for you to climb into and lift you up onto the corner of the console, huffing when you chirp a thank you before the both of you quietly return to your tasks (he enjoys it, really)

while he’s not one to vent his frustrations to you, he’ll always be open to listen to you vent about yours. even if he doesn’t respond with much, he’ll offer logical solutions and observations for whatever issue you’re having

Bulkhead:

the big guy loves art, having been exposed to his fair share of it by miko, and is very encouraging when it comes to your projects

he might not get some of the nuances or meanings of the things you make, but he tries - oftentimes making you laugh a bit at the sheer amount he misses. it’s endearing though, and you appreciate the effort

too fidgety to sit and watch you do anything for too long, but he’ll offer to drive you to a vista for some inspiration while he does his usual scouting routes, miko tagging along of course. she’ll probably bring her sketchbook with her and sit next to you and draw, chattering the entire time while blasting some music from her ipod, offering you one of her earbuds

Arcee:

similar to ratchet she takes a while to get used to you, a little cold at first to your attempts at friendliness

she notices how happy you seem to make everyone else and eventually makes a legitimate pass at being friendly despite how awkward it feels

but with how eagerly you accept it she doesn’t feel as bad, sighing in relief as you immediately start filling her in on how much you’ve enjoyed your time with the autobots

she’s not much of a conversationalist (especially when it comes to humans) so your chattiness is almost a relief - not having to keep up fake interest and energy with someone puts her in a more comfortable position; especially since you’re not one to comment on it like others tend to

will sit and watch you work on whatever your newest project is, a comfortable silence shared between the two of you

rambles about random stuff from her past sometimes - you turn out to be one of the few people she trusts enough to mindlessly dump her thoughts to, both good and bad

Bumblebee:

one of the first to get to know you, overly excited about having a fresh face around

super curious when he sees you working on something, a barrage of questions translated from mechanical chirps and whirrs with the help (and annoyance) of ratchet

he’ll actually try and mimic some of your art on the walls of hidden ditches where he and rafael hang out, excitedly bringing you along to show off his latest work and buzzing happily when you praise it

will eventually, with your encouragement, try and make something original - he ends up finding it pretty soothing and an easier way to feel understood; communicating his feelings without words can be unsurprisingly helpful for someone who can’t use any of his own

you’ll spend hours hanging out and working on your stuff - he likes when you help him with his own art, adding your own brushstrokes to the concrete wall

he’ll let you sit up on his shoulder just to watch him make whatever he feels like making, or even just taking you on joyrides in the desert where he doesnt need to worry about anything going wrong

while it’s usually you, him and raf hanging out he does enjoy spending solo time with you - usually in silence or one-sided conversations, but you understand each other well enough without words

will also figure out what your favorite songs are and surprise you with them; he loves when you get all giddy about literally anything

Finally decided to talk about my Fan Continuity again—mainly with revealing the rest of the characters that I just haven’t mentioned yet. But with this one, I’m going to put everyone together—ones I’ve already mentioned (with new bits), and the ones I haven’t yet.

Again, really everyone is still around (besides a few), but these ones are all the more main ones.

I would’ve done this sooner, but I just kept forgetting.

Autobots:

—

1: Optimus Prime: They/Them/Themself, He/Him/Himself, (FtM):

The leader of the Autobots, who, only a short time ago—three months, to be exact, had still been Orion Pax. However, that changed thanks to the Matrix of Leadership, changing them into a Prime.

Residing on Earth with his Autobots, Optimus Prime is still grieving over the loss of their Conjunx Endura, Elita-1, while quickly growing protective of the others, and promising to stop the Decepticons—not wanting anybody else to suffer.

2: Wheeljack: He/Him/Himself, They/Them/Themself, She/Her/Herself:

One of the most well known Autobot Scientists... and in general, despite the known fact that a lot of their inventions tend to malfunction or blow up in his face. Although, they are still one of the only remaining ones on Earth.

They stick around, helping out the other Autobots, but the scientist has some... issues, that they’ve been trying to fix for a while.

Shortly after the arrival to Earth, Ratchet and the Dinobots suddenly went missing, with Wheeljack making it his personal mission to find them. All while dealing with an unfortunate change that happened because of an encounter with a ‘Con, and one of her inventions.

3: Ambulon: They/Them/Themself:

The only remaining Cybertronian medic that resides on Earth—due to First Aid’s death back on Cybertron, a... situation, involving Pharma, and Ratchet’s disappearance not all that long ago.

After leaving the Decepticons, and officially becoming an Autobot some time before leaving Cybertron, they discover that some treat them far better than how others treat Mirage, another former Decepticon.

Shortly after the switch, Ambulon suffered permanent damage, which still affects them in some ways, they remain a medic, helping their fellow Autobots. They can’t fight anymore, though.

4: Mirage: He/Him/Himself, They/Them/Themself, She/Her/Herself:

An outlier with the ability to turn invisible, as well as creating holograms of anything. While Mirage may be an Autobot now, back before the arrival on the new planet, they had originally started out as a Decepticon.

Despite the side that they are on now, Mirage takes notice to certain Autobots who just... seem to not trust her, or like her—considering him a spy—which doesn’t help when Mirage has been a little... suspicious, as of late.

They are tired of all of this.

5: Cliffjumper: He/Him/Himself, (FtM):

An Autobot who, while seeming to have trouble trusting others—fellow Autobots included—seems to trust Mirage the least. He doesn’t want anything to do with them, but she’s still with the team... and the two keep getting put together.

Shortly after arriving on Earth, Cliffjumper was captured, and during that time, clones were made of him—all planned on being used as soldiers for the Decepticons. Which... leads into moments (quite often) where he and the clones are easily mistaken.

Cliffjumper has been shot at more times than he can count because of this.

6: Pipes: He/Him/Himself, She/Her/Herself:

An Autobot who had originally been a very excellent spy... until she made a horrible mistake, and the Decepticons figured out who Pipes really was, and what he had been doing among them.

Now fully back with the Autobots, Pipes is on a lengthy road of recovery from being crushed after the Decepticons figured everything out. Despite not being able to do much, the minibot is still trying to find ways to help... and to not worry anyone with some other problems.

7: Scrounge: They/Them/Themself:

An Autobot who... well... nobody can exactly remember too much about them—Scrounge died years ago during the earlier days of the war, but stuck around with everyone as a ghost—but it doesn’t seem like anyone can see them.

Scrounge has obtained several tasks that they want to accomplish:

1: Find Blaster—they learned from listening to the others that he went missing, alongside others.

2: Discover a way to let the others see and hear them... maybe they could try possession?

3: Find their arm—they lost it right before their death, and has constantly been wanting to finally try and retrieve it.

4: Finally join the After/Allspark.

8: Sunstreaker: It/It’s/Itself:

An Autobot who, upon it learning of the others suddenly disappearing, never thought too much of it (except for happiness when involving the Decepticons). But then it’s brother disappears, too, and Sunstreaker decides to do something about it.

Aside from trying to figure out where it’s brother is, Sunstreaker can’t help but feel like it’s being... drawn. To where? To who? It doesn’t know. It’s just trying to take in the sights and find it’s sibling—the strange feeling can wait.

9: Rewind: He/Him/Himself, (FtM):

An Autobot who is seen typically recording—but for a while, he wasn’t seen at all. Like Ratchet and the rest, his fellow Autobots assumed he was taken—except he seemed to be the only one who returned.

Although, Rewind claims that he doesn’t remember anything—nothing is recorded, either. So, perhaps something else happened... but there is certainly something off about how he’s been acting since he returned. Rewind doesn’t want to talk, though.

10: Dinobot: They/Them/Themself:

Originally a neutral for a good half of the war, Dinobot eventually became an Autobot after a few things happened—including a chat with Optimus Prime. They know a few of the Decepticons personally.

Despite knowing all of the more major issues—dealing with the Decepticons, finding who all is missing, etc—Dinobot is dealing with a more personal thing, and seems to frequently disappear.

11: Ultra Magnus/Minimus Ambus: She/Her/Herself, It/It’s/Itself:

The Second in Command to the Autobots, and close to Optimus Prime—the two having known each other from years before the war ever started.

Ever since others started disappearing, among all of the other problems, Ultra Magnus has been... really stressed. She hopes that she can get to the bottom of this.

Humans:

—

1: Andie Gray: She/Her/Herself, He/Him/Himself:

A human who, while on his way to get to his college classes, stumbled across a fight between the Autobots and Decepticons. Despite trying to ignore all of that, she still ends up getting roped into everything.

After a more proper introduction, Wheeljack is made her guardian. And despite the fact that he’s more focused on personal life things, he still sticks around, and decides to help the scientist out.

Andie communicates through sign language.

2: “Raven” (Real Name Unknown): Any Pronouns:

A younger human who, while running around, stumbled across a long-gone Cybertronian, and Censere—who hadn’t expected to be seen—neither of them had expected this to happen.

After an introduction, with Raven giving a fake name, the two decide to stick with each other... but there are things that she doesn’t plan on telling Censere—like how he’s hiding.

Other:

Rampage: It/It’s/Itself:

Rampage (or “X” to some), used to be held in some sort of facility in another Universe, before it had a chance to escape—taking it, which led it both out of the facility and out of that Universe, ending up in a new one.

It shortly meets Transmutate—who isn’t the one it vaguely knew from the other Universe—who also seemed to have gone through a similar situation.

Teaming up and sticking together, the two have to worry about... a lot, such as others from each of their universes coming to catch the two—especially Transmutate.

Transmutate: She/Her/Herself, It/It’s/Itself, They/Them/Themself:

She was originally held in an old facility somewhere in a different universe, before hurriedly taking a chance to escape—quickly discovering that, after jumping through a portal, that it led them to another universe, too.

After arriving, it quickly met Rampage—a different one—yet it also seemed to go through a similar situation. The two decide to team up and stick together... but there’s a lot to worry about.

It has abilities that it cannot control.

Censere/The Necrobot: They/Them/Themself:

Censere... or as everyone else knows them as, The Necrobot—a neutral who seems to catalogue the deceased—yet also thought to not exist.

Residing on Earth, they were alone... until a young human managed to spot them while they were listing a Cybertronian off. At first, they thought that would be it—but the two kept seeing each other, and eventually, the two made the decision to stick together.

Krok: He/Him/Himself, (FtM):

A Monoformer that is haunted by events from his past—which causes him to see... spirits (those are real?)—and the leader of a small group called “The Scavengers”. Years before the others, he first met Spinister, after the surgeon repaired him.

His time with everyone has, so far, been... chaotic, that’s for sure. But, it quickly becomes worse when, after a visit to a planet, they all discover that they are being tracked and chased—but nobody knows why or by who.

Spinister: They/Them/Themself, It/It’s/Itself:

Spinister, a rather strange (in everyone else’s optics) surgeon, who, years ago, ran into a severely damaged Krok. It didn’t know who did this—but it never asked. After fixing him, Spinister never left.

Out of everyone, they notice how Krok seems to understand them the best—but it’s still somewhat a mystery to the monoformer—there are certain things that Spinister keeps to themselves.

However, one thing that is known, yet still a mystery... is that Spinister seems to see and hear the spirits that hang around Krok. Yet nobody else can.

—

Misfire: Any Pronouns:

Misfire doesn’t remember much of anything—and he isn’t all that sure on the reason why. But, they do know that they have a terrible shot... everyone learns that quickly.

It’s the newest member, the others having met her and vise versa after the flier got into some trouble at the bar the others were visiting, before joining.

He’s not all that worried about what they can’t remember.

Crankcase: No Pronouns:

Crankcase, a Pilot, who before joining the Scavengers (being the third to join), used to be a member of the DJD—but has no intention on telling any of the others this—figuring that it doesn’t matter.

The only explanation Crankcase has ever given them was that the pilot used to work for someone, before deciding to leave—but when doing so, was wounded—receiving the nasty head wound.

Kaon and Vos were the cause of it.

Fulcrum: They/Them/Themself, He/Him/Himself:

Fulcrum, a Decepticon who... isn’t all that sure on what he was doing in an old, seemingly abandoned, lab—which was where he ended up meeting the others—being the fourth to join.

Unlike Misfire later on, they can remember everything... except for anything involving the lab—they just can’t remember why they were there, or their time in it. They... feel weird, and can no longer transform, among other unfortunate details.

While dealing with the chaos of the Scavengers, they slowly start to realize why they were there...

Decepticons:

—

1: Starscream: No Pronouns:

A Decepticon, who, originally, was the Second in Command, even after everyone arrived on Earth. But, when Megatron suddenly disappeared without a trace, Starscream finally became the leader, much to the disappointment of the other Decepticons.

Starscream is going to make sure everything stays like this.

—

2: Soundwave: They/Them/Themself, It/It’s/Itself:

Originally the Third in Command, they became the new SiC after Megatron’s disappearance, and when Starscream became the new leader... which is quite unfortunate.

They were the first to notice everything happening—other Cybertronians just disappearing without a trace, for example—not just Megatron. Ratchet, Wheeljack’s Dinobots, all of its minicons...

Deciding to get to the bottom of this, Soundwave starts digging—wanting to find its true leader and its minicons.

3: Thundercracker: He/Him/Himself, (FtM):

After Megatron’s disappearance, with Starscream becoming the new leader, and Soundwave becoming the new SiC, Thundercracker found himself with the position of the new TiC.

Ever since he’d arrived on Earth, among the more major situations, the Decepticons have noticed how strange he’s been ever since... practically the first day.

Sure, they know certain things—like how he created a film once, a month or two after the arrival. But... what’s going on now? Thundercracker wants to keep it a secret—he doesn’t want anything bad to happen—or, more simply, for anyone to be bothered.

4: Megatron: Any Pronouns:

The original leader of the Decepticons, and an old friend of Optimus Prime’s before the war—having considered the mech like a younger brother in a way. They were still around during the first month on Earth... but then something happened.

Megatron doesn’t know what’s happening. Doesn’t know that it’s not just him that’s missing. Doesn’t know where he is. Everything feels weird.

He’s not sure what’s going on, but she’s going to escape—after all, knowing Starscream most likely became the leader... it’s not going to let that remain for much longer... and it’s not going to let anyone else destroy the Prime.

5: Tracks: He/Him/Himself, She/Her/Herself, They/Them/Themself:

A Decepticon who had been a spy for some time... and was also the first one to discover that there was another spy—Pipes, and informed the others so that they could deal with the minibot.

After a few weeks of being on Earth, Tracks ran into a human... and although she’s a little iffy about humans in general (but doesn’t necessarily hate them), they really like this one—a lot.

The other Decepticons know of what is going on—but don’t exactly do anything about it—there’s more important things to worry about.

6: Tarantulas: He/Him/Himself, (FtM):

A Decepticon scientist with a beast-mode—others typically stay out of his way, only coming to the mech if they absolutely need to—nobody approached him at all the day that his creation went missing.

Throughout most of his time on Cybertron, he spent his time working on another Cybertronian—a son—who others heard Tarantulas refer to him as “Ostaros”.

On Earth, Tarantulas discovered that Ostaros was just.. gone—he vanished. Unsure where to start, Tarantulas teams up with Soundwave, wanting to find his son—but not really caring about the others that are missing.

7: Nightbird: She/Her/Herself, (MtF):

A robot, but not exactly a Cybertronian—she was created by Tarantulas shortly after arriving on Earth, but the scientist had no clue what to really use her for... but, after Ostaros went missing, Tarantulas and Soundwave decided to use her for assistance.

Nightbird is still getting used to, and processing, a lot of things—she hasn’t been alive for all that long. She considers Tarantulas her father.

8: Red Alert: He/Him/Himself, (FtM):

A Decepticon who... nobody has exactly seen much of—mainly as of recently. The others decide not to bother him—none of them know what to do, but they figure it has something to do with everything that has been happening recently.

Red Alert typically stays back in his quarters... unsure of what to do about the situation(s) in front of everyone. He wants to help, but is terrified of disappearing, too—what if one of his fellow Decepticons is causing it? It could practically be anyone who is causing all of this—which is unfortunate.

But, he wants to figure it all out.

9: Makeshift: It/It’s/Itself:

Another robot—but not exactly a Cybertronian—who was created by Tarantulas back on Cybertron—also considering the scientist a father. Thanks to Tarantulas, it is able to shapeshift into any Cybertronian.

It doesn’t care all that much on the situation that’s going on, but even if it did, it’s more focused on its current mission—pretending to be one of the Autobots.

10: Jazz: She/Her/Herself, He/Him/Himself:

A former Autobot, but something happened back on Cybertron to make her leave and join the Decepticons—something that he prefers not to speak about, and something that the others don’t ask about.

While she’s not exactly a medic, she still has enough medical skills to be considered one—and he has a lot to do, considering that the others come back wounded a lot.

11: Skybyte: They/Them/Themself:

A Decepticon with a beast mode—shark, to be exact—and a Decepticon who isn’t all that sure on what’s going on. They know of the war and similar things... but, they accidentally got into a pod years ago, and ended up on Earth way before the others.

They were awoken by Jazz and Tracks after the two found them, and brought back to the current base. Skybyte is still surprised by everything that’s happening—which nobody told them about for a while, having forgotten.

Skybyte never really fights, spending time on other activities and projects.

Can i request Optimus, Arcee, and Bumblebee react to their human friend (preferably female) somehow turning into a cybertronian and now they have to help her to get used to her new buddy?

~Bumblebee~

•Bee is honestly pretty excited when you turn into a cybertronian, but he is also incredibly confused, just like the rest of the team

•There is certainly an adjustment period to get used to your new body

•Nobody really knows why it happened, but you touched some iacon artifact by accident and poof, you turned into a cybertronian

•Since Bee is your guardian, he got the job of teaching you about being an autobot

•You’re very clumsy in the beginning and the whole transforming thing doesn’t really come naturally to you

•You still have to pick an altmode now and Bee tries his best to explain how the switching between your alt mode and bot mode feels, because he thinks if you can feel it you can do it

•His explanation is very much about the vibe of the whole thing, rather then how it would actually work

•You’re super clumsy at first, and definitely not feeling like yourself

•Your body feels weird, because it’s not really yours yet since you’re not accustomed to it

•Optimus teaches you about all kinds of things like how to switch to your blasters from your hands and how to activate your blades

•It’s certainly a learning process, and you learn it quicker with your dominant hand for some reason

•You pick up on the feeling you get when you’re doing things right, so it starts getting easier to use your weapons and stuff

•You’re obviously not allowed to fight, because you have no experience and who knows what could happen to your human body if you changed back when you’d gotten injured in your bot form

•Optimus might also be kind of overthinking things, because he doesn’t know how this whole thing works

~Arcee~

•Another normal day at the autobot base, a human turning into a cybertronian is an everyday thing

•Arcee is pretty tired of all the shenanigans that keep happening, but she does still start mentoring you in how to be a cybertronian

•She thinks it’s important you can keep yourself safe, even if the situation is temporary and you’re not really leaving the base, because something unexpected could happen

•First of course you have to pick an alt mode so that’s what you do

•Then Arcee teaches you to use your blasters, which causes a few misfires and a very annoyed Ratchet, because he almost got shot

•You actually end up being pretty good with the blasters, your aim is great and your reaction time is good too

•Arcee is worried about how this little accident with you turning into a cybertronian happened, so she tries to research the relic, but there seems to be no information about it

•It turns out not to be permanent though, so she can sigh in relief once you’re finally back to your human self

•You think it’s a bit of a bummer, but you’re also happy to be able to go home again

Buddy and Elita were the best of sisters.

But they weren’t always known as Buddy or Elita One.

Before the war, Elita One was known as Ariel.

Buddy’s original name was E-2.

Ariel was the more outgoing twin who always tried to get her twin to go outside of her comfort zone and to make more friends.

E-2 on the other hand was much quieter than Ariel, still held a strong presence with her.

Ariel was the one who introduced her to Orion Pax and D-16.

“E, this is Orion and D-16. Guys this is my twin E-2.”--Ariel

Orion waves at E-2 with a warm smile on his face.

E-2, who was partially hiding behind Ariel, waves back shyly.

Ariel gently pushes her forward at D-16.

D-16 smiles at E-2.

E-2 smiles back.

“Hi.”—E-2

“Hello.”—D-16

Ariel swings both of her arms around them all.

“I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship.”--Airel

E-2 gives them all a shy smile.

The four of them were a nearly inseparable group.

Orion and E-2 got along well, looking after Airel and D-16.

The two often had data pads they exchanged every other cycle and little chat about what they were about.

They were also the second voice of reason for Ariel and D-16 when they thought of activities or thoughts.

D-16 and E-2 got along like a house on fire.

Both wanting a better change for Cybertron, they found many things they could agree on.

Often D-16 would come to E-2 for help on his upcoming speeches and practice in front of her.

E-2, Ariel and Orion often went to D-16, now named Megatron, speeches about change on Cybertron.

The group could agree that changes needed to be made, but Buddy thought that maybe a more peaceful approach would be in the best interest of the bots.

This would soon cause a rift between the groups as Ariel backed Megatron’s bit forceful approach while Orion tried to play mediator.

It was around this time another one of E-2’s closest friends had offered her a chance to go on an expeditionary trip.

It was just to look at some planets then return to Cybertron.

Out of pure spite, E-2 agreed to go.

Anyways, he needed a medic with him in case something bad happened and E-2 had just finished with her tests and licenses.

“I’m sorry, you’re what?!”--Ariel

“Ariel calm down, I’m just going on a quick trip and I’ll be back in a couple of weeks. Two months the most.”—E-2

“Why can’t he just go by himself? Doesn’t he have a lab partner?”--Ariel

“His lab partner had something going on at the last minute and couldn’t go. Anyways he needs a medic in case something goes wrong.”—E-2

Ariel had a frustrated look on her face and crossed her arms.

Orion looked at E-2.

“When will you be leaving? The docking ports are notorious for taking long time to—”--Orion

“I’m leaving tomorrow.”—E-2

“…”--Everyone

“YOU’RE WHAT?!”—Ariel and Megatron

E-2 flinches at the loud noise.

“How can you leave at a time like this?! We need as many bots on our side as possible! Not galivanting through space like its some sort of vacation!”--Megatron

Buddy feels her servos tighten as her anger rises.

“This is not some sort of vacation Megatron. I’m being a good friend—”—E-2

“If you were a good friend then you would stay here!”--Megatron

E-2 takes a step forward, surprising all three bots.

“And if I don’t?”—E-2

Megatron angrily takes a step forward almost menacingly.

“Do you want to find out E-2?”--Megatron

E-2 clenches her servos and walks away.

“And where are you going coward!”—Megatron

E-2 turns on her pedes fast and angry.

“I’m going before I say anything that I might regret!”—E--2

E-2 storms off into the night.

Orion looks at his friends.

“Ariel?”--Orion

Ariel looks a bit conflicted.

“…She should be supporting the movement Orion.”--Ariel

Orion looks appalled before starting to walk in E-2’s direction.

“Orion? Where are you going?”--Ariel

“To check on your twin sister.”--Orion

E-2 was honestly still surprised to see them all at the gates for the launch.

Buddy said her goodbyes in hugs.

Orion hugged her tightly and wished her the best.

Ariel gave a halfhearted hug.

Buddy tried to hug Megatron, but he moved away.

Hurt, Buddy waved goodbye instead.

Megatron just huffed despite Ariel slightly jabbing his side.

Buddy grabbed her kits and began walking to the front of the door to wait for her friend.

Her friend came rushing in, giving her a hug, and thanking her for wanting to join.

“You’re a life saver E! Star had something wrong with his tanks and—”

“Is that him?”—E-2

E-2 sees a seeker lingering around the drop off point not too far from where her friends and family were.

“Yeah, that’s him. He wanted to see how the launch went.”

E-2 smiles at the seeker and waves at him.

The seeker looks a bit shocked but waves back.

“Are you ready to go?”

He stretches his servo for E-2 to grab.

She does looking up at her friend.

“Lead the way Skyfire.”—E-2

They made their way into the security area before reaching their pods and shooting into the starry sky.

None of them knew it was going to be the last time they were going to see each other.

The two came across the planet Skyfire had been raving about.

It was a smaller planet splashed green and blue.

It looked like a peaceful world.

Skyfire wanted a closer look at the planet.

E-2 was a bit hesitant, but she followed her friend downward.

Neither were expecting the harsh jet streams to be so strong.

E-2 felt everything about this being a bad omen and tried to radio in Skyfire to start getting out of the area.

Skyfire reported that his pods navigation systems weren’t responding.

E-2 tried to fly closer to Skyfire’s pod in attempts to attach a cord to get him out when her pod suddenly went dark and dropped.

E-2 screamed in terror as she plummeted to the planet below.

Skyfire managed to get out of his pod and managed to get to E-2’s pod opening it and dragging her out.

He tried to fly with her out of the Jetstream and back into space, but the winds proved too cold and strong.

Next thing E-2 realized was that she was falling again while the stream carried a screaming Skyfire far away.

She tumbled onto the cold ground below and rolled into a hole in the ground.

With all her tumbling, she accidentally caused a cave in.

E-2 hit her helm against a boulder before landing in a pool of cold water.

Her helm was bleeding profusely as she tried to stand up.

Trying to get up, she noticed a strange rock in the center of the cave and a small organic creature on her armor.

She didn’t notice the rock glowing until it was too late.

Her entire frame felt like it was on fire, screaming in pain.

When it was over, she fell backwards into the cool water, slowly closing her optics from the pain.

The last thing she thought about was Ariel, Orion and Megatron.

They were probably thinking she was going to come back home any day now.

She wanted to say sorry to them…

Sorry that she wasn’t coming back home…

…

Back on Cybertron the life signals on the pods had turned dark.

The station had called Orion, Areil, Starscream and Megatron to tell them about the freak accident.

Most likely faulty wiring on the pods.

Either way, none of the passengers survived.

Everyone was in shock.

Ariel then started to sob horribly.

Orion immediately came to her aid hugging her tightly trying to keep his own tears at bay.

Megatron just stood there in shock.

Starscream demanded to know whose fault this was.

He nearly clawed at the poor bot across the table if Megatron hadn’t grabbed him back.

He held Starscream noticing the shakiness of both of their frames.

There was nothing they could do now.

One of the biggest regrets Megatron had in his entire life was not hugging Buddy that day or trying harder to make her stay.

Elita regretted not being able to stop her twin from leaving and not saying love you one last time.

Orion regretted not going with her.

Maybe he could have done something to help with the faulty wiring or something.

They weren’t going to see her again, not until it was their time to go to the Allspark.

How to say goodbye ‘see you around’ and mean it…

The time has come.

First thing’s first: this isn’t goodbye—just a heads up.

Due to changes I’m making in my personal life, I’m stepping back from the Transformers fandom for a partial hiatus. My ambition makes me restless, and it’s about time I put some of my plans into action.

Yes, a Chinese person becoming a doctor. How original.

Maybe I’ll turn out like Ratchet. Maybe I’ll suffer long enough to become Pharma.

Only time will tell…

In any case, I don’t plan on totally disappearing from the fandom any time soon. Eventually, I won’t be logged in on the app, but I’ll be accessing the site through a browser a few times a week, or when I have free time.

For the foreseeable future, you’ll see me around primarily on the weekends and Wednesdays—collecting posts for the queue, answering old asks, and maybe making a post once in a while.

What to expect:

The queue will publish a few times a day, and most original posts and extra reblogs will be scheduled.

I have 300+ post ideas saved in my notes and screenshots. My goal is to slowly release these into the wild.

I’ll try to keep writing meta, but when and how will depend entirely on how much free time I have, and what little energy I have to spare.

If I ever have extra time, I might open my ask box and play an ask game or two. Maybe…

Orion pax stripper / slut era?

We have Ratchet’s slut era, and everybody loves the dear ol party ambulance, i’d suck his spike and say sorry if he begged for more.

But back to my baby orion pax. In multiple universes optimus has some slutty ass waist, him and Ratchet have known eachother for a lonng time. Tfp and bayverse have basically been competing on the daily for who’s prime has a sluttier waist, who would look better full of bitties, who’s matrix is more annoying. Blah blah blah.

The one thing they have in common is that the REASON of the sluttiest waist known to Cybertronian kind is that Orion Pax was a stripper.

Megatronus and his buddies walking into a club vaguely disguised as a bar in downtown kaon. Taken offguard to see the sweet, innocent and helpful Orion pax not hesitating to have his gorgeous, but quite small titties on display to an entire club of drunks, walking through crowds and he looks fabulous, each titty pierced through with tiny golden piercings in an X position, thin golden chains looping each corner, only his valve out and pierced with shiny, multicoloured piercings that glimmer separately when the club’s lighting changes colour or brightness, it puts some colouration to the greyish-blue mesh, a thick loop piercing through his node, dribbles of Lubricant rolling in thick beads down his thighs, it doesnt deter him because he knows he looks fabulous

He’s slipping round drunk mech and femme alike, ignoring groping hands as he moved with such fluidity. His armour was much slimmer then any of the gladiators remembered, despite how he’d saw them a little less then a week ago, biolights running up his stomach from his hips, ending at where his titties meet his chest, Absolutely covered head to toe in glitter, maybe some shanix tucked between the armour he does have on, showing how well his curves suit this job.

Megatronus and (probably) soundwave are even more surprised when it turns out he works here on weekends, completely sober and willing, One part is because he absolutely loves showing his frame off, the second part is so he can keep an eye on the biggest whore on Cybertron *cough cough* Ratchet *cough cough* so he doesn’t get himself kidnapped and drugged in an alley way, also it pays well and times are hard!

The matrix just seems to make everything worse but better at the same time, so its a win/win for Optimus.

oh my god yes. slut era Orion Pax should be talked about more. And slut era TFP Orion? So brave. But hey, I mean, if he's friends with the ol' party ambulance then they've gotta have something in common, and frequenting trashy clubs can absolutely be one of them!

Megatron and his gladiator buddies walk into a club and get hit with a full-face of Orion Pax titties. He's surprised to see them but ultimately, Orion's a professional. He gracefully sits up on their table, pretty hips propped up, and they can see the intricate, almost hypnotic patterns painted onto his soft, perky tits in great detail. Shy, polite Orion from the archives shifts a little on top of the table and they can see that his valve panel is open, the pretty piercings tempting Megatronus to just touch 'em and pull. Maybe then he'd get to see Orion blush, if being bared in a dark bar full of strangers won't.

Clearly he's enjoying himself too, his node twitching and valve wet, grinning dumbly when people call him over to tuck shanix into the inseams of his hip plating, groping his frame with reckless abandon. Orion just playfully shakes their hands off of him, and keeps moving through the club to entertain the rest of the horny drunks.

Oron giving Megatronus a dance, all in good fun, but there's a hint of a flush on his face-plate as he rocks his hips, all of Megatronus' friends watching, staring, wanting to have a piece, rough, battle-worn hands itching to touch that soft, polished plating and give it a squeeze. Orion wouldn't let them. Megatronus wouldn't let them.

An AU that I call “Truly Techno-Organic Sari”

So basically, it always bugged me that there wasn’t really anything done with the fact Sari wasn’t truly human in the earlier part of the show. So, I made up stuff because I could and here we are.

Sari was always meant to be a vessel for the AllSpark. That’s why she looked so vastly different than other protoforms. But given Cyberton’s unstable political climate even prior to the war, she was sent away for her own protection.

Her stasis pod crash landed on Earth and remained hidden until a mining operation outside of Detroit found it millennia later. Now let’s put a pin in that for a minute.

After the war on Cyberton and being thrown through a Spacebridge, the AllSpark starts to use its energy to search for its lost protoform. It takes a long time, but it finally senses the protoform on a planet across the galaxy. That’s when it, in Ratchet’s words, “Found Us!” and powered on the Spacebridge with its location being Earth. It was going to go to its protoform and see to it that the little one was raised with love and care. What it didn’t account for was the Autobots crashing into Lake Eerie and going into stasis for 50 years. And it definitely didn’t count on humans getting to the pod first.

Fast forward to Sumdac finding a pod that he that he vaguely remembered asking to be brought to his lab after he was contacted by a mining company and discovering the little protoform inside.

As a defense mechanism, Sari’s systems used Sumdac’s DNA in reformatting her body to better blend in with the planet’s natives. It even went as far as to hide her spark signature from other Cybertronians.

After all that, the story continues largely the same in terms of plot (for Season 1 and 2), except with some changes.

Number one: Sari is a literal child both in human and Cybertronian terms and she stays a child. No age up. But she does occasionally get dreams about herself when she’s older in place she doesn’t recognize.

The AllSpark still gives a fraction of its power to Sari in the form of the AllSpark Key. However, in this AU, whenever Sari abuses the power of the AllSpark Key, it either goes in a locked mode for a short time or its power is greatly reduced. It's the AllSpark’s way of grounding her and teaching her: With Great Power...

Now for more headcanons for this AU.

Sari is smart (which I believe is kind of canon because if I remember correctly, in one episode she’s learning the quadratic formula from Tutorbot, and that’s middle school math...and she’s eight. Also, Sumdac asks if she’s tinkered with the pocketbot which leads me to believe that even prior to the Key, Sari might have reformatted her dad’s robots). So, building from that, Sari finds her school subjects too easy, and she gets bored from not having a challenge. Que her reformatting her dad’s robots so that she can sneak away to go exploring around the city.

When the Autobots come into her life, Sari asks Optimus if he wouldn’t mind teaching her Cybertronian subjects, like history or language.

Having a been a data clerk in the Iacon Archives prior to joining the Autobot Academy, Optimus has a wealth of knowledge to share, and he was more than happy to teach her.

Sari eagerly awaited Optimus’s lessons. There was finally something to challenge her mind.

Ratchet figured if the kid wanted to keep hanging around them, then he better look into human health. He started monitoring Sari’s diet and would get stressed seeing how much ‘junk’ food she ate. He started to replace all her junk food with fruits and vegetables.

Occasionally, when Ratchet would run a check-up on her, he would pick up Sari’s actual spark beat on his equipment. At first, he thought it was a glitch because how could Sari have a spark beat? She’s organic. But the more Sari spent time around the Autobots, the more the ‘glitch’ keep happening, and Ratchet started suspecting that kid wasn’t all organic after all.

When Prowl meditated, he sometimes felt the electromagnetic field of a newly activated protoform when Sari was nearby. For a while, he thought it was a form of his guilt manifesting. Then one day, he saw Ratchet’s equipment experiencing a “glitch”, and the cyber-ninja knew in his spark that Sari wasn’t fully human.

Prowl felt that regardless of what she was, Sari needed to be taught how to defend herself should she even need to, especially with all the trouble she seemed to get into. So, he started giving her the basics of cyber-ninja training, including their philosophies about respecting all forms of life, cybernetic or organic.

Bulkhead and Bumblebee didn’t pay attention to Sari’s inhuman quirks. (Well, Bulkhead noticed some things, but chose not to say anything.) The two youngest of Prime’s team acted as big brothers to Sari, with Bulkhead trying to keep the other two out of trouble.

Have a very sad idea that is about Sentinel redemption and Optimus and Black Arachnia redemption.

Optimus gets completely wiped by a memo surgeon and stripped of his Prime title. Sentinel…. Wants his friend back. Being forced to watch this hurts.

He’s just glad Black Arachnia only hates him now and doesn’t blame Optimus anymore. After all, the Optimus she knew is dead, it’s just Optimus now.

A silent, emotionless, faceless drone. He has his mask up at all times and no one knows if it ever comes down or is wielded to his face.

Of course how would he feed if it was?

Now while regret eats him as he tries to find a way to bring him back, he can’t stand looking at him anymore as he follows Ultra Magnus as his assistant.

Sentinel became the Magnus’ right hand to stay close by.

Black Arachnia has been trying to grab Optimus and do the same thing, free him- he might not be the same bot before but at least she could try helping him!

She doesn’t want anything to do with Sentinel until it’s plans to bring Optimus to the Deceptions with her.

One day, they get a call by an old war Medic about finding the Allspark. Ultra Magnus goes there himself along with him and Optimus.

On the deserted rock in the middle of nowhere, they greet the crew of seven. There were four repair bots and three guards, among them one bot they don’t recognize.

While they were about to go put the Allspark onto their ship, the Decepticons appeared. A battle began and they were split up.

Ultra Magnus sent Optimus to go with repair crew as the Allspark was still on their ship. The guards going with them. He tangled with Black Arachnia again for the first time since he first met her on a scout mission.

The Warp gate opened in an attempt to lose the Deceptions but something happened and there was an explosion. They lost the them and the Allspark.

Ultra Magnus retreated with Sentinel.

With Optimus, functioning only to protect the Allspark as the Ship is attacked. Megatron and Starscream fight each other and for the Allspark.

While Optimus is putting up a fight, he can’t really do much as a drone like mech. His only mission is the Allspark as that was the last command he received from Ultra Magnus.

The Allspark then shined brightly, he was the only on with it at the time.

As Soon as Starscream was batted a way into space, Megatron focused on the Allspark. Optimus gets injured.

In a team effort, they all pushed Megatron out the door. He had grabbed one of the crews and was dragging them out with him if Optimus hadn’t kicked him in the face, releasing them. That was unusual for a drone mech.

He’s only supposed to protect the Allspark, not leave its side. Bleeding out, he drove the ship into the water with only a few moments for the medic to pull him into a pod before getting into one himself.

The way things happen will be different with eight members of the crew, but slowly the drone that Optimus was changes.

When Ratchet patched him up, he realized why he only listened when he pulled rank as the medic. He was disgusted and felt the need to help.

He would have stayed on the ship with the Allspark if he hadn’t seen the video of what was happening above water and saw Sari in trouble.

Rules state bots mustn’t interfere or interact with organics and natives of a planet.

Especially their Protoforms.

Protoforms should be protected.

The organic is a Protoform.

A protoform is in danger.

The right to live belong to all sentient beings.

Now I envision Optimus slowly beginning to emote and act more than what is left of him.

He dies doing his objective of protecting the Allspark.

Sari is attached to him, she sees something the others had given up on. She can see the bot he was and who he could become.

The key brings him back from death and whatever the Allspark did along time ago to him activated.

He can talk now. Rarely, with small words, and with an air of curiosity. He does state what his orders are or repeat laws, but once in a while he will repeat a word his curious about or a short sentence.

It was only around Halloween that he has acted more than he ever has. This gives Sari and the others hope.

Then Black Arachnia shows up. Her true objective is Optimus, but a possible cure is a good bonus to have. One of Optimus’ self imposed missions is protecting the organic protoform, Sari, from harm.

No matter what she says does not register to Optimus, but the subtle fear of spiders gives her hope he’ll think about her and who she is to him.

Hmmmm I think this Optimus gets along with Wreck-Gar.

Uh I’m going to wrap up this post. I didn’t put everything, but this is the idea.

Sentinel’s guilt are him up Everytime he saw Optimus and tried talking to him. The longing for his friend to come back and he is haunted by Optimus disappearing for 50 years. Optimus is dead and Black Arachnia hates him, it’s all his fault and he is alone.

Sentinel only softens up when he was alone with Optimus, but Optimus isn’t here. He’s a horrible jerk to cover up every thing he feels. Selfishness to cope.

I don’t know what to call this AU

Maybe Under the Circuitry or Reboot or Full Reset or something like that?

No I don’t like any of those.

Can we get some dratchrod cheering each tower up headcanons?

Ratchet being cheered up by Drift is comforting words and gentle touches. Soft kisses to his red finial and a chassis to lay on. He gets to listen to Drifts spark hum and spin and rest in the knowledge his conjunx is alive. Beside him. Loves him. Chose him.

Drift being comforted by Ratchet is soft. Ratchet uses realistic outcomes and doesn’t give false hope but he does promise to stay every step of the way through it all. He gives tender touches and kind smiles. Hopes he wishes to come true and possibilities for a future if they were to have one.

Rodimus comforting Drift was once trying to cheer him up with fun things like racing, a few cool and hopeful words followed by a cheesy, unsure smile. It became Rodimus being an audial that held no judgement no matter how dark the thoughts became or how depressing Drift felt to be around, Rodimus didn’t complain, didn’t try to change him, didn’t put on false airs or tell Drift he was wrong. Rodimus gave Drift an outlet for any and every emotion no matter how overwhelming or big and let Drift use him the way he needed be it a living diary, sparing partner or a chassis to sob on.

Rodimus comforting Ratchet was terrible in the beginning. Rodimus tried being more genuine only to have it thrown in his face plates. They bickered, argued, Ratchet threw insults and sarcasm and typical bitterness only a long life span of war could give. Making Rodimus defensive and brash, his temper getting the best of him as he yelled and balled his fists trying to keep his flames from sprouting. Rodimus was always the first to walk away because he knew the moment he started smoking from his exhausts things were becoming too much. It took some time, a lot of time, before Rodimus decided to hold his glossa and let Ratchet get everything off his chassis and finally ask with slightly gritted denta what the real problem is. Its then Ratchet gives a great big vent, drops into a chair and lets his shoulder plating droop before finally saying what was wrong. Things become easier after that.

Drift and Ratchet try to comfort Rodimus when they see things become too much for the young co captain but he simply gives a tired smile and says he’ll be fine. Rodimus at the beginning of their journey would’ve immediately found an excuse or took any opening to get out of his responsibilities that weren’t life threatening. In the early days he would jump at the chance to have a bot listen to his problems or complaints. But now the mech before them didn’t utter so much as a word of complaint for his responsibilities save for a sigh or looking tired. He didn’t complain anymore. He didn’t shirk off responsibility of any kind and he didn’t talk about his problems. Rodimus seemed to close off when it came to being comforted and the way didn’t know when it happened or why. What they could’ve done or said to make Rodimus think he couldn’t talk to them. But he didn’t.

It just made overhearing Rodimus half way break down before another mech hurt all the more. Rodimus may have pushed their servo and comfort away but the mech didn’t take no for an answer. They may not have tried to touch Rodimus frame again but they did sit beside him. Their digits brushing faintly along Rodimus’s.

It stung when the younger didn’t pull away and it broke a piece of them when they finally learned the best way to comfort this new Rodimus, was sitting besides him in silence, a digit laced with his own as he looked down deep in his own thoughts.

They hoped to one day be trusted with giving Rodimus comfort not knowing Rodimus felt unworthy of their comfort and comfort in general, since he’s failed so much and put them through far more than either ever deserved.

Animal Handler Rodimus/Merformer Thunderclash #4

More setup and a quick overview of the Rehab Center! Plus a surprise for Rodimus!

PART IV – Recovery and Reunion

Rodimus likes his new job, even if it does keep triggering moment of guilt and horror when he sees what an actual healthy setup from the studies should be. The Rehab Center doesn’t allow a lot of public visitors outside of the educational front area and small viewing areas, but there is nothing close to the actual merformers themselves. The facility takes up most of the west side of the island they are on, built into the ocean and cutting it off, allowing for large expansive areas designed for them as well as areas within the building. While it specializes in merformers it does have other animals rehabbing on the land facilities and Rodimus gets to meet them and sees the obvious differences.

The merformers in the facility as well are much healthier, plumper, more lively, less anxious, their colors and biolights brighter.

They have some that are temporary and intend to be released that they are more off hand with but others are more permanent due to injuries or socialization issues.

Drift is the most famous. After Rodimus got out and read more freely about merformers and the debates on their levels of sentience he heard about Drift who was famous for learning Hand though many debate it is a scam or due to the oddness of the field with merformers reading differently he isn’t communicating but just responding with the same pulses he’s receiving. They’ve tried to release him, he’s healthy, an experienced hunter, socialized, popular among his peers, but he absolutely refuses. He’s been caught before and was famously rescued from a merformers fighting ring by the head of he facility Ratchet and imprinted on him. When he was discovered years later caught up in a spill from a factory that caught up a nearby merformer nesting grounds he was evacuated to the Rehab Center for treatment.

While there he reunited with Ratchet and “imprinted” on him. He absolutely refused to leave despite all his group leaving (including Wing) and kept making courting behaviors and doting on Ratchet. He helps with socializing new captures and rearing orphaned pups to be released back into the wild after he raises them so he has a purpose there. Everyone jokes how he pined after Ratchet for years and only let him take care of him.

The Hand thing was a joke but he got so excited about it the interns showed him. They all knew he was intelligent and would come up with tests for him to do and tech but no one expected him to latch onto it and pick it up immediately. Or that once he learned some words he would terrify everyone by dragging Ratchet into the water to grab his hands and start screaming “RATCHET RATCHET RATCHET!” over and over with Hand while snuggling him beaming. Ratchet got things more organized and kept teaching him more and more complicated concepts and has been petitioning to change the sentience guidelines because Drift is proof just because merformers can’t speak Neocybex and have more instinct coding doesn’t mean they can’t communicate or have higher levels of thoughts.

It's been complicated due to them not being able to pass the Ambus Test and a lot of misinformation about Drift and lack of being able to repeat the experiment out of Ratchet’s facility because, as he keeps emphasizing, the merformers do not feel safe or inclined to account for them and some of the facilities are terrible. Dominus Ambus was actually involved as he was working to revise his own test to account for its own flaws which would he in his own alt mode couldn’t pass.

The other merformers in the facility except for Drift’s occasional pups also aren’t inclined to learn Hand. Most simply aren’t there long enough. Or don’t agree. Another issue with repeating the test.

Whirl refuses and his hands aren’t in a good shape for it though his caretaker Cyclonus is trying to adapt a different communication since he noticed that Whirl uses colors to communicate and Whirl is intelligent enough to build and rebuild things and socializes well with the janitor, Tailgate too. Whirl isn’t exactly one they want meeting the public though, given his general aggression.

Getaway is a menace who keeps breaking out every place they put him and has sired way too many pups. He was released but keeps showing back up in one of the cages whenever he wants, like a seasonal bother, during breeding season. Mostly to harass Skids, who is currently their other lead project trying to learn Hand from Drift. Though it has some difficulties because they are different subspecies which have different fields again so they are trying to adapt it and the fact they keep having to break due to Getaway knocking him up and distracting him. They’ve made some headway with a new Praxian hire Bluestreak adapting door wing language to match Skids’s fin wings.

Other members of the Rehab Center include: Overlord (who is kept carefully under lock and key and is not to be approached unless by trained and approved individuals, because he was a mech killer and actively hunted them. He was slotted to be put down before someone decided, in Ratchet’s words, to make him their problem), Sunstreaker (who was injured and grew attached to an Insecticon recovering in the land facility and they bonded and refuse to leave so they had to make a hybrid enclosure), Tarn (a siren-type with a similar backstory to Overlord and is one of the only times one with his ability was captured alive and is under strict care), Nautica and her sorority (slotted to be released though with how much Nautica has bonded with Skids and her caretake Velocity she is likely going to voluntarily stay), etc.

Rodimus meets many of them and is excited to help out. It makes him feel like he’s making up for accidentally mistreating Thunderclash. Then when he gets read in on the they are probably sentient as we are but that’s being debated and meets Drift, things get even more wobbily for him emotionally. He has a lot of dreams and nightmares mixed up with memories about his time with Thunderclahs. Ratchet and he bond though Rodimus is a little terrified of him finding out about his past.

It’s very good for him and he is making friends and a life for himself, but his libido hasn’t died down and if anything has gotten worse, leading him to regularly hookup most nights and still feels weirdly unsatisfied and craving something. For all he’s mentally recovering he is also eating a lot more and emotional regulation wise he’s getting occasional mood swings, sore back, and he’s started to have his pain dull and get exhausted as the craving in him increases that his hookups are not satisfying.

Ratchet’s the one who finally sits him down to confront him, having been a former doctor in Iacon, and tells him he needs to talk to his doctor because its obvious he needs to increase his transfluid donations because they are not meeting his frame needs and if this keeps up he’ll start cannibalizing himself. Ratchet after enduring Rodimus’s obvious confusion realizes Rodimus doesn’t know he is pregnant. The facility had all kind of largely known because of Drift’s treatment of him. Drift is good for pegging when someone is carrying and treats them accordingly. Since Rodimus wasn’t talking about it though they were respecting his privacy.

Ratchet takes Rodimus to the hospital and hooks him up with a doctor, they estimate how along he is and realize he is much, much too small and behind on building materials so he is put on a strict diet and twice daily donations unless he want to abort. Ratchet calms him down and lets him talk out his emotions and Rodimus figures it happened during his post-trial sex marathons. After awhile thinking about he decides to keep it, Orion, despite Rodimus’s protests, did set him up a trust fund so he never feels pressured to fall into a bad situation again and Rodimus hasn’t been touching it due to complicated feelings but it would allow him to support himself. Plus he likes this area, far away from anyone who knows him and Ratchet goes ahead and tells him they were planning to offer him permanent position once his trial ended and his certificate was granted. The facility has a onsite daycare something Ratchet pushed for when he was pregnant with Medix and Minerva, his sparklings.

Rodimus has a support system and slowly tells everyone, getting healthier (but still feeling unsatisfied sexually), no longer seeking out hookups as often (it was mostly the cravings and the island is a bit too small population wise to keep things from getting awkward and people are more wary now that he has a belly unless they are really into it), and dealing with everyone openly being happy and supportive for him and weirdly enough the merformers reaction to when his belly pops changing.

They are all, without exception, preening for him or doting on him in equal measure. His coworkers explain that it’s a pretty normal reaction and merformers themselves commonly find signs of fertility attractive and, they point to Drift and Ratchet, are known for cross species attraction. There are quite a few jokes about how Drift was when Ratchet was pregnant that people then skirt away from when Ratchet approaches. Drift is the most excited for it and grabs Rodimus’s hands to project congratulations and even pets his belly, before grinning, crookedly and pressing Rodimus’s hand to his own and feeling a hardness there. Rodimus is startled but supposes that for all Drift’s imprinting he does still socialize and share the pool with other merformers, who Rodimus has learned are not shy about public sex and it is incredibly common to the point he’s desensitized at this point and visitors have to sign waivers to acknowledge they might see them getting frisky.

Things are actually going pretty well when they get news about a transfer request from another facility. Rodimus doesn’t think much of it until Ratchet sits Rodimus down and explains, seriously, that it would be Thunderclash transferring.

Rodimus feels like he’s been hit by a truck but says he’ll be fine especially after hearing the reason behind the request is that Thunderclash has health issues, and they want him comfortable because they are convinced he is going to die from complications and Ratchet’s Rehab Center is famous for care. Rodimus is deeply upset because he’d made a point to not investigate it at first and when he’d tried later couldn’t find out and couldn’t bring himself to mention it to Ratchet because that would mean telling about his past. Ratchet, during the talk, reveals he already knew. He just had been respecting Rodimus’s privacy.

Rodimus braces for Thunderclash’s return and hopes for the best. He’s taken to talking the Drift about his feelings while doing rounds and confesses everything that happened to him while Drift makes sympathetic chirps and coos and eventually grabs Rodimus’s hands to convey just pure comfort and support wordlessly, which Rodimus appreciates.

First Aid

[He’d never heard of Empurata before. But, when you show back up to the Ark, having claws instead of your hands, and having a single optic instead of your regular face, he already knows this is bad.]

[He feels horrible for you, and wants to help you out- he comforts you a ton throughout this whole thing.]

[He’s a medic, he doesn’t fight—but he’s going to protect you if, whoever did this to you, ever shows back up. He doesn’t want anything else to happen to you.]

[If you ever make any comments about your appearance through all of this, he’s going to tell you that it doesn’t matter to him—he still loves you.]

[With the help of Ratchet and some others, he finds a way to help, and he’s going to be the one performing the surgery on you—as long as you still want to be changed in the end.]

Shockwave

[He hadn’t seen you in a long time- you didn’t come with him to Earth, but you finally show up down the line... and he immediately knows what happened—he went through it, too, after all.]

[Seeing you like this... especially seeing how you’re reacting and dealing with this, almost makes him feel... enraged, sad—a mix of so many things, but he pushes those away/ignoring it, that’s illogical.]

[Shockwave isn’t... good, with things like this, though. If he ever attempts to comfort/reassure you in any sort of way, either with words or anything else, it’s not gonna be that great- but at least he’s sort of trying.]

[He’s immediately making his way to Knockout, asking (or, kind of just ordering him), to do something about this.]

Tarn

[You were all separated looking for a rather slippery target—and, while you did end up running into a target, they weren’t the one that all of you were going after—and this one is pretty dangerous.]

[Tarn finds you when the current target tries escaping, running into a building—where you happen to be, with the procedure has been done—but it feels like everything was done in a hurry.]

[The leader of the DJD is rather horrified. He sends The Pet and Kaon, who’d been with him, after the current target, while he deals with you—who, at the moment, is unconscious.]

[When you wake up, you’re in the medbay, Tarn is discussing things with Nickel—wondering if she can do anything, or if they’ll have to find someone else.]

[You remember everything about the one who did this to you—and so you tell Tarn. The mech who did this to you just got bumped up onto the list much, much higher.]

Hi I was wondering if I could request transformers prime Optimus with a daughter!reader who’s a monster truck and she’s just the complete opposite of him, like she’s energetic and outgoing but she’ll get serious in situations if she needs to. But the kids LOVE her especially miko and she just likes having out with the kids :D

A/N: I just did some of the bots, whoever I thought fit well and what came to mind. I’ve noticed I very rarely plan any of what I write, I just kinda write whatever comes to mind when I finally start writing

•Your alt-mode is really not the most discreet one, but you find it to be a lot of fun, so you don’t want to change into another vehicle mode

•Optimus has of course mentioned this to you multiple times in the past (he kinda gave up though), but Ratchet mentions it somehow almost weekly

•Your robot mode is pretty much the same size as Wheeljack’s but you‘re a bit bulkier

•Since you’re Optimus’ kid, you’re obviously a very high value target for the decepticons

•You’ve been taught to protect yourself ever since you were very young, so you can definitely hold your own in a fight

•You get along well with Bee and Smokes since you three are pretty much the same age

•You three also tend to get in a lot of trouble, not really anything dangerous, but just stupid

•Of course Ratchet is always the one who ends up lecturing you, but that doesn’t stop you from coming up with new kinds of stupid stuff to do

•Optimus is also there, backing Ratchet up, but you always get a private lecture from him too, because you’re his kid after all

•You used to feel a sense of duty to be very respectful and act a certain way back when you were still on cybertron and your father had a lot of troops to command, because you felt like you had to be the perfect kid

•Your father is the current Prime after all, there are certain things that are expected off you

•But when you came to earth, there suddenly wasn’t anyone to impress anymore, the team became your family and you relaxed a lot

•Optimus always thought you’d finally come into your rebellious phase when your behavior changed

•But eventually you and him talked about it, and he realized the pressure you’d been under and that you’d put on yourself had not been good for you

•Ratchet is like an uncle to you, and he’s a very important part of your life, but sometimes you just can’t stand him and his lectures

•Bee and you are childhood friends and soon after Smokescreen came around the three of you were inseparable

•Arcee is like a big sister to you, and she tries to keep you in check, but you’re the only one who can (very rarely though) get her to relax and have some fun

•Those fun times have a tendency to go a bit overboard sometimes, but you two always keep it to yourselves

•Or if a video of you and her in your alt-modes ends up on the internet, you’re the one begging Raf to get rid of it before Ratchet sees it

•You always take the blame for it, and tell Ratchet and Optimus that Arcee was just there to look out for you

•Miko and you get along really well, though she can also provoke you into doing all kinds of stupid stuff and then you’re both in trouble with Ratchet

•The team is a big family and everyone takes care of each other

Yes! The sparklings have returned! I turned this to it being mainly be focused on the main cast rather than some of the background characters. I am planning on writing another post on the elite guard an the sparklings. For now let us enjoy the Bots and Cons reactions to The Beans.

Oh no he is not prepared for this! The academy did not prepare him for a situation like this!

He still is the leader, so he tries to maintain some control.

Except most of his team is cooing at the sparklings and not paying any attention on the instructions.

“Okay so we need to figure out—”--Optimus

“AAAAWWWW! They are so cute!”--Sari

“Hold on—”--Optimus

“I can’t wait to show you how to skate with your wheels!”--Bumblebee

“We don’t even know—”--Optimus

“I bet you’d like the birds unlike some bots…”--Prowl

Once the sparklings get all clear from Ratchet, Optimus is going to try and contact Cybertron to take the sparklings. He does eventually realize that Cybreton is not going to take them seriously, so he guesses that they are the team’s responsibility now.

He tries to make time for the sparklings when he comes back from patrol every day.

Takes some out on drives when they are particularly restless. Optimus like to take them out near the park or around the plants property. They almost always fall asleep when they are on the drive.

Somehow the sparklings have a six-sense knowing when Prime gets back and or is having a bad day and seek him out for cuddles.

“Have you seen Prime?”--Bumblebee

“No not since he went out on patrol?”--Ratchet

“Have you tried comming him?”--Bulkhead

“Yeah, but he doesn’t answer it.”--Bumblebee

“Psst!”--Prowl

He hasn’t seen these beans in thousands of years. How did they even come here anyways!

Ratchet makes sure to check on all the sparklings to make sure that they are okay. He knows that Cybertron isn’t going to have them as top priority, so he set to make a makeshift nursery with Bulkhead.

Sometimes when the workload doesn’t require two servos, he’ll carry one of the beans in one.

When he does take a drive outside the plant, he might bring a bean or two to give them a change in scenery.

But the drives are never too far from the plant.

He has a magic touch to get the sparklings to fall asleep within a couple of minutes.

He is a bit excited seeing the little guys!

Bumblebee has never seen one before and wants to do everything with them. He does get reminded from time to time that they can’t do things like he can, so he improvises. He’ll play some racing games with some of them on his lap. Regularly gives them piggyback rides. The beans seem to like those.

Since his alt mode is smaller than most of the teams, he can’t carry too many sparklings at once.

He does give them giggles and laughs when he goes fast. This also involves some of the team getting worried about him going so fast.

He doesn’t sleep too often with the sparklings, trying to keep up his cool guy image, but there are times that the team does catch him sleeping in the nursery with armfuls of beans snoring away.

Bumblebee on the floor, helm leaning against a pole, snoring mouth wide open with a few beans snoring on his lap.

“I Am Big Sister.”—Sari

She will protect these beans with her life.

She loves them so much. Sari regards them as her extended family, like the bots. The sparklings are a bit bigger than your average human baby, but that doesn’t stop Sari from trying to hold them.

The sparklings love this small but warm orange blob and constantly follow her around when they see her.

Doesn’t want to take the chance of carrying them around on her jetpack so she just flies around them keeping them entertained.

Sparklings start crawling to Bulkhead.

“Guys? Guys! GUYS!?”—Bulkhead

Don’t get him wrong, he loves these little bity beans.

But Bulkhead is so scared he is going to crush him. He has a very interesting klutzy streak and refuses to touch the beans for a while.

But after much reassurance from the team, he relents and picks one up with so much fragility. Soon the horde was coming for him.

Bulkhead tries to teach them how to paint with baby graded paints. He makes sure to praise each sparkling for their creativity, never once telling them that they should paint.

The sparklings love the paints and have found a new blob to seek for play time.

Thanks to his altmode he can bring almost all the sparklings with him on rides outside the plant.

Bulkhead does not want to sleep or take naps near the sparklings afraid he might squish them, instead opts to help Ratchet put them in bed.

Prowl

Flashbacks…

He is one of the more protective bots considering the sparklings. He failed the past protoforms, he is not failing the beans.

Prowl does his best to teach them about the joys of nature.

That doesn’t go too well the first time around. But has found that the sparklings like being in the park or playing under the tree in his room.

His altmode doesn’t allow him to give the sparklings rides outside the plant. Prowl does try and make up for it by taking some sparklings up high the branches of the tree in his room.

Has gotten yelled at for that.

His room is one of the best for the sparklings to take a power nap, especially when he is meditating.

Once he mediates the net things, he knows that he has some beans clinging or draped over him sleeping peacefully.

Megatron

“… This is… a turn of events…”--Megatron

“Well Lord Megatron I can simply disp—”--Starscream

“Did I say that?”--Megatron

Megatron is not that heartless against these beans.

He does make it a priority to keep them safe and well. These could be potential soldiers for his army anyways.

No, he definitely doesn’t go soft for them…

Has some members of his army taken babysitting rotations. No buts unless they have urgent duties. The shortest rotation is Starscream, he doesn’t let the beans go too long with him.

Megatron has been known for keeping two beans with him. He does the ‘evil guy petting the cat in chair’ thing with them.

He doesn’t leave the base too often, but when he does it’s for the beans. Just flying for a bit before returning to base.

He always puts the sparklings in their nursery when its time for their nap.

“You wanted to see me, Lord Megatron?”—Icy Blitzwing

“Yes, Blitzwing it is your rotation time.”--Megatron

“But didn’t you want me to do the patrolling?”—Icy Blitzwing

“…True—”--Megatron

“LET ME DO IT LORD MEGATRON!”--Lugnut

“… Fair enough.”--Megatron

Starscream

Multiple sparklings crawling all over the place.

“Why are there so many!? DON’T TOUCH ME—“—Starscream

Definitely wasn’t expecting this but views this as a potential win for him.

Once he becomes leader, he’ll have some fresh new soldiers to order around. All he needs to do is get Megatron out of the picture and not get attached.

Starscream has failed at both of these.

He becomes attached to the beans the moment one of them pats his faceplate gently and babbles incoherent things. He hates that he has the shortest time with them and whines a lot about it.

He does occasionally bribe another Decepticon in babysitting duties. This rarely works unless they have an assignment to do.

Takes the beans on flying trips all the time while bragging about how when he becomes leader, he fully expects them to back him up.

He always makes sure that the sparklings are I the nursery on time, not a minute later.

“Come on now. Say it after me. Lord Starscream!”--Starscream

Somewhere in the base…

“Someone is disrespecting Lord Megatron…”--Lugnut

Blitzwing

Sparkling giggles.

Window rebooting noises.

His faces are divided on the subject at hand.

Icy is indifferent over the sparklings.

Hothead is a bit frustrated over how fragile the bean.

And Random loves them so much.

Surprisingly Blitzwing is the second-best babysitter the army has, it’s all thanks to his faces.

Icy takes care of the basic needs the beans need.

Hothead takes care of the sparklings safety, though he has to switch with the other faces if he gets particularly mad, he hates getting them scared over his angry face.

Random takes care of the fun parts and sleeping.

Due to his faces changing so fast influencing his altmode change, he isn’t allowed to take the sparklings out. This is made up with more Random fun times.

Icy makes sure the sparklings are put in the nursery on time.

Hothead is either early or late, no in between.

Random is always 2 hours late.

“The beans are sleeping.”--Blitzwing

“Lugnut you will be taking care of these sparklings for the rotation period.”--Megatron

“…Thank you Lugnut…”--Megatron

He is the best babysitter they have.

Why is this a surprise?

He one day wants to have a family with Strika, the beans are used as practice for the real thing. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t get attached. Its attachment at first glance, Lugnut is not immune to the sparklings charm.

He will protect them with his life.

Whenever he has patrol with Blitzwing he always brings the sparklings out for a ride. Megatron only lets this because he knows that he won’t let anything happen to them.

Can put the sparklings to sleep in a minute.

It always puzzles everyone how he can be such an obsessed member of the army and be one of the best babysitters ever.

“Strika you have a message from Lugnut.”--Shockwave

“What is it? Put it on screen.”--Strika

Stays the longest away from the sparklings. She doesn’t feel too comfortable being around them.

Will and has give the sparklings to Starscream. That’s how much she doesn’t want them.

She is too busy trying to get rid of her organic molding.

Has scared the sparklings when they are alone. She refuses to get attached to them. But there is still a little bit of Elita-One in her, so she isn’t that cruel. She doesn’t let them starve.

The times she is forced to do it she just keeps them in a corner with some toys.

SOBBING VIOLENTLY, I’VE SPENT ALL DAY READING YOUR ‘BROKEN RECORD’ STORY AND I’M ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED.

It wasn’t a satisfying ending. But in no way do I mean that in a bad way. It wasn’t satisfying. What would have been satisfying is if after all that time, Smokescreen finally got to win. Just once.

But we didn’t get that. There was only one ending. That was what we were told at the beginning, and that is how it ended. There was only one choice. The best choice was the only. Choice. I love that. It’s bitter, and frustrating, but with how you wrote it? It’s what needed to happen. It wasn’t the ending we all wanted, it was the ending that needed to happen.

This was gut wrenching. Mind blowing. We got tears making rivers and oceans over here man 😭

This was wonderful, it really was. It was hard. It was difficult, but it ended, and when it did, it was just, meant to be. We were told it was unavoidable, Smokescreen was told it was inevitable, and it was in the end. He wasn’t ever going to get that chance to prove the Matrix and everyone else wrong.

You are just, SO good at doing this. At making something that is real, and important (to me anyway 😔).

I love how Smokescreen bonded with everyone. He knows, everyone. He has made memories with them that are his, and his alone. He can’t share them now. They’re remnants of times that no longer exist. He doesn’t get those bonds back. Not like the ones he had. And that’s hard. It’s hard for him, it’s hard for us, there’s no way for him to get satisfaction for those losses.

You’ve gotta be magic or something. Like, actually.

In my class today, I fr opened my physical, non-Transformers related book, and tried to find where I had left off on ‘Broken Record’, then did a 180 when I very quickly realized this book was not, in fact, your Tumblr page, and I was not, in fact, reading one of your stories 💀

You’ve infected my brain with the robos. Everything is a reference to your stories. (For example, Burgers: That one story if your were the humans purposely eat burgers and meat in the base to make the bots uncomfy cuz it’s funny to see their reactions.)

Anyway, back to the story, Optimus understood Smokescreen’s situation very quickly. And once it was made clear that he understood, it became very clear that these loops were not a new thing. For any of the primes. That makes me wonder how similar it had been for Optimus. Or rather, Orion Pax.

We know that he was once like Jack, from what Ratchet tells us in the show, but I can’t really see someone like Jack turning into someone like Optimus. Not naturally. I had always assumed that Orion became who he is as Optimus just by getting the Matrix, or just by being in the war. But you said “F that” and did something completely new. Orion having to go through those ‘trials’ like how Smokescreen did absolutely adds to the reasoning behind such a, seemingly drastic personality change. It seems drastic to everyone else, but, as you showed us with Smokescreen, it was gradual. It was a very, very gradual change. It was a change that came through many, many long hardships and challenges, and in the end he didn’t even succeed in his original goal. As it probably was for Orion. Smokescreen isn’t the bot he used to be. Not by a long shot. Nebulous Prime did not simply just, come to be. It’s who Smokescreen turned into.

(Makes me wonder if you’d be wanting to do a prequel for ‘Broken Record’ but for Orion 👀)

Anyway, to wrap it up, you’re incredible, your mind is incredible, thanks for being incredible.

Oh my goodness. I am just, in absolute AWE at this breakdown of the story. You APPRECIATE my writing and you have no idea how happy that makes me. I put so much effort into my work, and it never ceases to make me smile and want to keep on going when I read comments like yours. I am not being paid for this, I am not gaining anything from this in real life, but it is wonderful people such as yourself that keep me going, so thank you :)

Smokescreen's tale in "Broken Record" really is one of tragedy, and I adore how you have laid it out. The vision I had while writing was an inevitable slow march toward the apathy all Primes seem to have. Optimus always knows so much, has skills that one could see him having but still appear slightly out of place in light of his origin. He was the embodiment of skill and wisdom, and yet he was always tired.

I loved the idea of finding a core reason behind that exhaustion aside from war, a purpose behind the seeming aimless behavior Optimus exhibited upon no longer having a foe to fight. His trial, in my mind, was different from Smokscreen's.

I say this because I do indeed intend to write a prequel from Orion's perspective. I want to show how crushing it will be when his passion and drive are tempered through unexplainable loss and the revelation that he CAN'T fix everything. There is no happy story book ending, and Smokescreen now knows this well. Conviction turned to duty, love dulled to loyalty, idealism shifted into numbing apathy.

In light of this, can you see why the other Primes went crazy? Orion was a special case and without Optimus to serve as a foundation, Smokescreen would have joined the mad ranks of his predecessors. It is a sad story where the weak falter and the strong prevail. It was underlying, but it was also a hope of mine that it would be shown that no mech should want the Matrix. To be a leader is a burden, and in the world of "Broken Record", that is more than evident.
