How to say goodbye ‘see you around’ and mean it…

The time has come.

First thing’s first: this isn’t goodbye—just a heads up.

Due to changes I’m making in my personal life, I’m stepping back from the Transformers fandom for a partial hiatus. My ambition makes me restless, and it’s about time I put some of my plans into action.

Yes, a Chinese person becoming a doctor. How original.

Maybe I’ll turn out like Ratchet. Maybe I’ll suffer long enough to become Pharma.

Only time will tell…

In any case, I don’t plan on totally disappearing from the fandom any time soon. Eventually, I won’t be logged in on the app, but I’ll be accessing the site through a browser a few times a week, or when I have free time.

For the foreseeable future, you’ll see me around primarily on the weekends and Wednesdays—collecting posts for the queue, answering old asks, and maybe making a post once in a while.

What to expect:

The queue will publish a few times a day, and most original posts and extra reblogs will be scheduled.

I have 300+ post ideas saved in my notes and screenshots. My goal is to slowly release these into the wild.

I’ll try to keep writing meta, but when and how will depend entirely on how much free time I have, and what little energy I have to spare.

If I ever have extra time, I might open my ask box and play an ask game or two. Maybe…

I hope to keep working on my shorter WIPs. I don’t know how much free time or energy I’ll have in the coming days, but I’ll do my best to get them out eventually.

So, I love hearing about why favorites are favorites! Why are Wind and Time your die-for favs?

For Wind, I think I first played Wind Waker exactly when I joined the LU fandom properly, and oh my god, I LOVE Wind Waker. It genuinely had such a big impact on me on the first playthrough (and does to this day), and I was still going through all the emotions when I was reading LU and starting to engage with the fandom.

Wind has such a good story in Wind Waker, and I could write an essay about it tbh but I'll save it for another time. I also absolutely adore how he is written in the comic; I think it's perfect. He has the immaturity you'd expect from a 13 year old boy, such as not always being the most tactful, jumping straight into situations without Fully considering them, and having some quite strong almost black-and-white opinions on complicated topics (see the Kings of Hyrule comic). But you can also leverage all of those criticisms at the other boys who are supposedly older and wiser than Wind LOL. What makes him great is how his younger age and strong personality also give him a completely different point of view. Despite having gone through a certain amount of shit on his journeys, he's still optimistic and hopeful for the future and he's fiercely passionate in protecting those he loves... What can I say. He's just a good lad. I honesty feel this messy collection of words doesn't even do him justice.

As for Time, it's sort of opposite reasons? The story of his games and his outlook on life is a bit darker than Wind's. Time has been through so much, and was a broken man for a while... and yet he is the one who has the happily married, domestic life a lot of the boys deep down want. He made it! And it's just so wonderful to see a character like that, one hardened by his experiences but still able to get a happy ending.

And yet. The potential to angst him is still tremendous. We have the Hero's Shade, which many speculate could mean he dies when the kid(s) he has with Malon are still very young. There's the Fierce Deity Mask. The Ocarina of Time. His negative opinions about the Master Sword and the bitterness he's still holding onto. Not to mention all the stuff he went through in the past and has recovered from but you could still explore... Even though Time has this happy life now, he's still such a great complex character to break into. God writing this just reminded me of the massive Time Analysis Glau (Glaucus_Atlanticus) wrote. I don't know where to find it anymore though :(

One last thing as well is that Time and Wind's interactions are also great. I think Time sees a lot of himself in Wind; Wind was forced to defeat Ganondorf young, just like him. But UNLIKE him, Wind hasn't lost everything. He didn't lose his childhood, he has a family, he doesn't have to say goodbye to his home forever. And Wind is obviously doing a lot better in many ways than Time probably was aged 12/13, which is pretty self-explanatory as to why (TERMINA). And seeing that makes Time very happy, it's clear from the way Time interacts with Wind in the comic. But there is still angst potential with Time being the hero who 'abandoned' Wind's world... it's good shit!

To cut a long story shit they're both great and I need to write more fics of them both.

Not gonna lie, I got super confused when I read "Lemiel", but that's only because I know him as Lumiere. But heck yeah, I'd love to make this for you, anon! I've gotcha covered! :D

Major spoiler warning for the Elf Reincarnation arc! (Chapters: 147-229/Episodes 94-158)

When Lemiel arrived, he was a treasure trove of discovery.

He came to their lives buzzing with curiosity and a heart pure of prejudice, charming the Elves and playing with the children as if they were his own. He embraced their customs and lives, sharing his own from the humans and wormed his way into the hearts of all.

Of all the human customs he brought- one always stood out to Licht the most.

“Whoo! Who knew planning a wedding would be this detailed!” The human fell back into the warm grass, stretching himself out beneath the sun with a content sigh. “I never realized just how many shades of green there were!”

“She’s always had an eye for details, Tetia.” Licht smiled softly as he thought of his future wife, her small hands buzzing like hummingbirds as she ran about, tweaking things to perfection. “I’ve tried to remind her to take a rest, but she’s determined. Kinda reminds me of someone I know, don’t you think?”

“Hm, so she does. I wonder who that would be?” Lemiel hummed, earning a light smack from his laughing friend. “What? I’m sorry- we’re excitable humans, it runs in the family!”

“So it seems. Fear not, brother- I find the trait quite charming.” His eyes grew somber for a moment, the reality of their world creeping back in his mind. “Do you think…do you think the humans would accept this? Our union?”

The answer was obvious, but Lemiel still took his time answering. “I can’t speak for all. Humans have a long history of prejudice in this world, and a union might not be enough to change them.” He turned and smiled softly at the elf. “But that doesn’t matter. Let them have their judgements and spite. The thing that matters most is your love. Both for your union and the twins.” He reached out a poked Licht in the belly, as if he was the one pregnant. “Can’t have all those worries now. Bad for the babies.”

“Ah! Yohohou-Yohohu- what is it that humans call you? Ah, you scoundrel!” He nodded, satisfied. Lemiel had taught them many human words.

“Oh? I’m a scoundrel, eh?” The human grinned, sitting up and tacking the other, fingers gently worming into his sides and earning a surprise bout of laughter. “Looks like I’m gonna have to embrace my new title! ‘Lemiel the scoundrel! Look out for his devious tricks!’ Think the other’s would approve, old friend?”

“Lehehehehehheheemiiiihihihiihihihi! Wahhahahahahahhaihihihiihihihiit!” The elf cackled in mirth, squirming beneath Lemiel’s fingers as he gently shoved at his chest. “Nohoohohohohohot the mahahahahhahahhhagic!”

“Magic? Oh no, friend, this is what human’s call tickling!” Lemiel grinned as he moved his fingers back to Licht’s belly, making the other squeal. “We don’t use magic for this- though; now that I think about it, feather magic would be interesting…”

Caught in his thoughts, the human accidentally gave the elf below him the opportunity he needed. With a burst of strength, he sat up and shoved the other away, switching their positions and returning the favor. “Not magic, eh?” He huffed through his giggles, feeling smug when Lemiel howled beneath him. “Alright then- allow me to test it out myself!”

“Lihihihihihihiihihihihihct! Pleheahahhahahahahhahhse!” Lemiel squealed and wriggled beneath him, legs kicking uselessly against the soft grass as he made wimpy attempts to grab the elf’s hands. Turns out he was much more ticklish than his friend. He really should have considered that before jumping into a tickle fight. “Ihiihihihihiihihihm shahahahahhahahahharry!”

“Oh! I know this one! Ehem- Hi Sorry, I’m Licht!” Licht grinned, earning a snort between Lemiel’s giggle fits. “Did I do it right?”

“Yehhehahahahhahhahaas! Nohohohohoohow leehhehhehehet mehehhehehhe hgohoohooohohohoho!”

“What’s the magic word?” Licht teased.

“I shohohohohooohohould hahahhahahhave nehehhhehehehver taauhuuhuhuhuuhuhght yooohohohohu huhuhuuhuhuhman slahahahahhahahang!” Lemiel cried out, cheeks pink and eyes misty with mirth. Licht decided that was enough.

“Not what I was looking for, but sure!” The elf laughed as he climbed off his friend, watching him curl into a ball beside him. “I don’t know what you mean- you love my human slang!”

“Aheheheh…hehehehhe…I dohohooho…” Lemiel grinned weakly as he gasped down breath after breath, closing his eyes as he laughed himself silly. “Yohohohu leahaharn to quiihihickcly!”

“Pfft! You say that like it’s a bad thing!” Licht snorted before falling back in the grass beside him, looking up at the cloudy sky. “Hey, Lemi? Let’s always be friends, no matter what happens.”

Lemiel looked over at him, eyes curious before melting into warmth, scooting closer and taking his friend's hand in his. “Of course, Li. Nothing will ruin our friendship. We’re brothers, both in law and in life. I promise.”

So, for years I have been avoiding crocs like the plague that they are. As one does. However... my reg. manager (prev. manager) wears them because they help her feet and she's on her feet like all day and I have been having increasing issues with my feet screaming at me at the end of the day no matter what I seem to wear so... I figured I'd try them out. So, I tried wearing my daughter's pair for a few days and god dammit. My feet feel better, not great but better so I picked up a pair on sale at DSW. However!
