Summary: You meet Rebal on New Year's eve, under the light of the magnificent fireworks lighting up the sky

The sound of a hundred voices counting down in unison gradually turns into cheering and laughter as hugs and kisses are exchanged amidst the couples, friends and family members in the crowd. The dark night sky glows with the fireworks that clearly aren't at all cheap. Actually, they're nothing short of impressive.

And yet, as you look at them through the screen of you phone as you record them, you feel like you're dimming their light for yourself.

No one can blame you though. The plan hadn't originally been to come here as a party of one. Too bad the person who was supposed to be by your side right now, sharing a kiss with you no less, stepped out of your life less than a week ago.

They say the New Year's kiss is for good luck, but you doubt even that can save your unfortunate situation in the love department.

"They're gorgeous, aren't they?" It takes you a moment to register the voice over the popping of fireworks and colliding voices and then another moment to realize it's referring to you.

Turning your head you see a fella in the same predicament as you - he's a solo performer, much like you. Based off of the look on his face, you'd never think he's unhappy about it. But then again the smile you give him is rather convincing too, therefore you may never know for certain.

"The fireworks? They sure are! Not a penny was spared." You answer, doing your best to fight the noise around you in order for him to hear and understand you.

You've strayed away from romance novels now that you're no longer a teenager, but even with your venture into Stephen King, you're pretty aware of how textbook-romance-novel is the thought that flashes through your mind as he returns that smile - one you think of as brighter than the fireworks themselves.

"Yeah. We got lucky, got the best seats in the house." He replies, nodding to the expanse of sky fogged up by the smoke left behind the display of beautiful, sparkling lights.

"It's a shame some people opted out of seeing them." You say rather bitterly but some of that bitterness gets lost with the small smirk on your face. Not that you aren't salty about it, but still.

"I'm not complaining." The guy shrugs his shoulders, his curly hair moving on cue, "If they were here they might've blocked our view."

Huh, you think to yourself, what a perpesctive.

"I'm Rebal, by the way." He extends a hand for an official greeting.

You take it right away, "Y/N. Nice to meet you, Rebal."

"Likewise." His dark eyes sparkle with a mix of joy and something a lot like hesitation before the next words follow, "Got plans for the rest of the evening?"

You hum, giving a pause to 'think' of an answer, "I'll cancel them if you have something in mind."

"Then cancel them." Hell, even if you had plans, the wink he responds with would've cancelled them itself.

Note(s): I mean I’m really clumsy myself so this is relatable (besides the really buff, cool boyfriends >.<)

Poly Josuke/Okuyasu

Okuyasu is ready to fight whatever you tripped or bumped into because you ended up hurt. If he sees things coming then he's quick with The Hand to get whatever it is out of the way, or moving you out of the way.

Josuke is concerned but he still can't help but roll his eyes with how often you have him use his Stand. Sure you might tell him not to use his Stand, but he still will because he doesn't like seeing you hurt.

It just becomes a thing where they expect you to have some kind of bruise somewhere. Even if you look fine, Josuke will ask you where you bumped into and he'll heal you (will get flustered every time if you have a bruise or something beneath your clothing, doesn't matter how used to healing you he is).

Okuyasu might end up taping bubble wrap to you or Styrofoam as a way to keep you more safe. Josuke is quick to tell him that that idea is dumb and you could get more hurt, which causes the loud mouth to panic more.

Poly Jotaro/Kakyoin

Jotaro is constantly sighing at you, just all the time. Honestly, he can see it coming a mile away at this point when you're just walking and still trip on something. Thankfully his reflexes are fast enough to catch you.

Kakyoin will just hold your hand to help guide you. Even if you end up tripping, he might use Heirophant Green to help rebalance you since he doesn't want to pull on your connected hands and hurt you more.

The two kind of have a thing where one will stay close to you to help and the other keeps an eye out to try to prevent any upcoming accidents from happening.

They still sigh and shake their heads whenever you still end up with scrapes and bruises. They do their best to help bandage your wounds. Kakyoin asking you to be more careful while Jotaro calls you an idiot (affectionate) for being so clumsy.

Hello! I was just wondering, what are your thoughts on monster sickness? I can recall an unused file saying that monsters don’t get sick, but, in a phone call, Undyne mentioned to Papyrus that she she once threw up a thousand times in basketball hoops (I cannot remember why, so it might seem quite weird). Thank you for your time!!! You are awesome!

Ah man… I must have read about that unused file somewhere a long time ago, because I definitely headcanon that monsters don’t get sick, at least not like humans do…

i think what you might be remembering is some of the phone calls between undyne and papyrus where she talks about making puzzles that can only be solved by…. yeah XD Papyrus is very much disgusted by this, poor dude :”D

It’s… kind of impossible to resist wanting to write a classic sickfic every once and a while though, so I think the headcanon I’ve settled on is akin to the old idea of the four humours. It used to be thought that everyone had a particular balance of four qualities within them, and if the balance was upset it led to sickness and you had to do various things to rebalance these. This was, of course, bogus for humans–but for monsters, it kind of makes sense. Since they have less physical bodies, it might not be germs that make them sick, but if they spend too long in bad weather, get too stressed out, or face some other kind of adversity, they might wind up with symptoms that are very similar to human sicknesses until their magic is rebalanced.

How these sicknesses manifest probably vary by monster–a furry monster might start to lose their hair, a slimy monster might produce either too much slime or not enough, and so on–i definitely headcanon the skelebros can’t get stomachaches because they don’t have stomachs, and that’s one reason papyrus is so grossed out by undyne’s bad puzzle ideas =u=;

Though, I just remembered how Asgore gets sick when he’s accidentally poisoned by Asriel and Chara, so–at the very least, monsters who do have regular bodies can get sick by eating something toxic. Fortunately, monster food doesn’t spoil, so most monsters–as long as they take care of themselves–will probably never get sick until they die of old age.

So, that’s my thoughts on it, eheheh

Summary/Prompt: "Home remedy for a break-up"

Your audience were rightfully concerned about you

You'd been gone for a total of two weeks, breaking your pattern of daily streams on your Twitch which was so out of character for you, it got your fans genuinely worried, not just wondering where you'd gone

That being said, they had every right to swarm you with questions during your first stream back in what felt like forever

Your reasoning felt weak to you, but your fans were super understanding and were simply relieved to have you back

Now, what said reasoning is....

A breakup

An ugly breakup, putting an end to a three year relationship

It hurt, even if you felt like things had already ended months ago

It felt like being kicked out of a home you'd built, falling straight into the pool of cold water that is loneliness

A feeling so dreadful and painful, it rooted itself in your bones and only hurt more when you faked a smile for the camera and feigned a giggle to couple with your: "No, really, I'm doing way better now."

For starters, he’s a simple man: any article of clothing that belongs to him being worn by you is more than enough to make him want to take said piece of clothing right off you

Setting: The events that take place the first morning you two experience in the new apartment you got together

It felt so odd but so familiar at the same time. You and your boyfriend had been in and out of this apartment doing repairs and renovations, preparing it for when you were planning to move in together, abandoning one of your one bedroom apartments while keeping the other for storage purposes.

You could still barely believe it, trying your best to wrap your head around the whole change of scenery - this brand new chapter of your life. Luckily, you have time to do so on your own since you're up early while your boyfriend's still asleep, as per usual. It's your classic dynamic really - you're the early-riser and a night owl while he's neither really. He does try his best to accommodate his sleeping schedule to yours but fails every single time. You find it adorable though, mostly cause of the many times you two decide to watch a movie around 2 AM and find him asleep thirty minutes in. You never have the heart to wake him up, so instead, you throw a blanket over him, give him a kiss on the cheek, and slip next to him to cuddle.

Synced sleep schedule or not, you can't sleep if he's not next to you.

He too senses when you leave the bed in the morning but sleep is just too strong of a force for him to leave his spot from under the covers for at least an hour longer.

That being said, it's fair you were startled to hear his voice barely twenty minutes after you yourself got up.

"Mornin', sunshine." His voice is deep and sleepy, mixed with a yawn and a groan to let you know just how displeased he was with having to wake up this early.

You turn to look at him, abandoning the view from the kitchen window that had you so mesmerized just moments ago, "Morning to you too. What got you to your feet at this hour?" You ask, keeping your hands at your sides to ignore the urge to run your fingers through his hair which is super messy, sticking out in every direction.

He rubs his half-shut eyes, "Couldn't sleep. It's just not the same when you're not by my side." He walked up to you, wrapping an arm around your waist to pull you over to him so he could kiss you on the top of your head.

You narrow your eyes playfully as you look up at him, "Hasn't stopped you from sleeping in before, has it? What's different this time?"

He turns to give you a you-know-what look over his shoulder while he pours himself a cup of coffee. You play innocent and confused, raising your eyebrows and shrugging your shoulders which causes him to playfully roll his eyes.

"Many things." He says with a faux annoyed tone, "A different pillow, a different bed, a whole-new-ass apartment." He now turns fully, smirking over the rim of his mug, "Our new-ass apartment."

You are defenseless against the smile and blush that take over your face as a result of his comment, "Well when you put it like that, it makes a lot of sense."

He gives you a mischievous look, "It does, doesn't it?" He faces the coffee machine once more, quickly grabbing another mug and filling it up with coffee, adding a single teaspoon of sugar and stirring it before handing it to you.

"Aww, thanks." You say, taking it from him to inhale the comforting sent before taking a sip.

"Not a problem, babe." Rebal says as he walks past you, hand on your waist as he kisses your temple - it's been scientifically proven that this man can't walk near you without his lips touching any part of your skin. "But breakfast's on you though." He calls back as he disappears down the hall into your shared bedroom.

You furrow your brows, taking another sip and scrunching your nose as you remind yourself not to trust anything that sly conman does for you, seemingly not asking for anything in return.

There's always something in it for him in the end, you shake your head with a slight smirk playing at your lips as you pick up your phone to order breakfast to be delivered to your door.

"Pancakes, please!" He reminds you as if you haven't been falling for this trick and ordering him coffee during the whole span of your relationship.

"Scrambled eggs! Take it or leave it!" Oh and let's not forget, you never abstain from taking your revenge.

OMG OF COURSE YOU CAN I'M SO GLAD SOMEONE FINALLY REQUESTED FOR HIM - Sorry for the aggressive enthusiasm lol I'm just really happy to have received this!

~ Enjoy 🥰

- Dating Rebal can never be boring that's for certain

- He's always got his way of finding fun shenanigans to indulge in and, as any good boyfriend would, drags you along even

- He's always hyper, always happy and always striving to make you happy too

- Count on waking up to hearing him singing his heart out in the shower

- And being confronted with a cute but headshake-worthy pick-up line when you go in the kitchen to grab breakfast

- Speaking of breakfast: He'll never stop trying to make you one

- Emphasis on trying cause it's more often than not a disaster in the kitchen that you walk in on and not an actual eatable breakfast

- You usually take a good ten minutes to poke fun and laugh at him for it before you both start cleaning up together

- You’re not some chef either but with joined forces you two can make something non-toxic which is a great success in your book

- Also, don’t get it twisted: Rebal is NOT the early riser

- You are usually the one up first, getting ready to go to work and have probably already left the house by the time he wakes up

- You never forget to leave him a sticky note on the fridge if you don’t get to say goodbye to him before you leave

- However, on the weekends when you don’t have to work, Rebal is the one up first because you tend to sleep in

- Being in his videos when you can is also a must

- Cringing together at tiktoks is a lot more fun than if he were to do it alone, that he’ll have to admit

- You were extremely camera shy in the beginning but as you gradually grew more and more popular amongst his fans you started getting more comfortable

- You’re the one replying to the comments on his posts social media posts and videos because you love interacting with his fandom

- That is, of course, if you haven’t taken your work back home with you

- On those nights it’s COFFE FOR DAYS

- Rebal usually stays up with you, offering to help you as much as he can despite having zero knowledge of what to do or how to do it

- Therefore, the main way he helps is by delivering coffee and snacks to your desk tirelessly

- You thank him with a kiss on the cheek every single time he comes to refill your mug or snack bowl

- Following the hard and long working hours comes some much needed but not long enough sleep

- Speaking of which....CUDDLES

- You are both cuddlers but Rebal is definitely the initiator of the majority of you cuddle sessions

- He’s also the one who’s to blame if you ever show up to work late because the man refuses to let go of you in the morning

- Bottom line: You two are the definition of relationship goals, no matter how cheesy you consider it when he sometimes jokingly says it
