Was talking with my therapist about how it's possible to completely lose one's own identity to people-pleasing - when you grow up being constantly preoccupied with concerns about what other people want, and the ideal outcome is always whatever makes everyone else happy, it's possible to simply not learn to know yourself at all. If the only thing you've ever strived for in life is to make everyone else happy, you just never pause to think what you want, or what you would enjoy, independently from anyone else's desires.
As an example of this, I recalled that for the longest time, I just didn't listen to music when I was alone, because the thought never occurred to me. I didn't have my own taste in music, I was fine with listening to whatever the people I was with wanted to listen to, but whose music would I be listening to if I wasn't with anyone else? She thought this was a great observation, and gave me a homework assignment to find a song I like, just on my own and for myself, and show it to her next week.
So I guess my therapist is about to learn about the existence of mongolian folk metal.

I don’t say it often enough but I freaking LOVE your take on the Archivist lore! With so little canon details to go on, and The Collector arguably an unreliable narrator (through no fault of their own), they are an enigma of the TOH universe with questions of whether their actions are malicious or not. I really like how you have characterized and fleshed them out. And, coming from a background of ecology and veterinary medicine, some of your pieces have hit uncomfortably close to home. And just to clarify, coming from me, that is high praise of your work! love works that make the audience think, reflect and maybe feel a bit uneasy when they do.
Thank you so much! it means a lot to me and Im super happy comics do give off bit of that effect:>
I always enjoyed whenever villans or generally antagonists had actual reasons for doing what they do. Its not just evil for the sake of evil, there is some reasoning behind it.. ooor lack of understanding for those affected by their actions. Like Collector wasn't being malicious in wanting to play with everyone. But since they come from an entirely different background and perspective their games can seem malicious from the point of view of someone who only experiences their effects. This concept tied up with ecology and the horrors of space.. just feels like a fun story:p

With a chuckle and a shrug, Mitron turned to make for the Macarenses Angle. Loghrif offered some parting pleasantries before jogging to catch up.
"So, Mitron. What shall we do this evening?"
"Exactly what we discussed earlier─at length. Ever the forgetful one, aren't you..."
Unchanging in their dynamic, be it in labor or leisure.[...]Neighboring realms inextricably linked, and as the waves were forever drawn to the shore, so too were the pair inseparable.

the first half of the first season makes me appreciate the writing of eren as a character even more with every rewatch. it’s phenomenal what yams did with him, how his trajectory had been set in stone from the start, and how glaring it was too. however one may feel about the ending, it’s impossible to deny that up until 138, he’s one of the most consistent characters and imo the one with the most fascinating development

likely crack (but who knows at this point really!) but I just noticed, the banner says welcome daddy and that's the first time we get a hint that maybe alastor didn't wake up on the right side of bed this morning. it is so funny to me if he was maybe already triggered by that and ready to throw down even before seeing lucifer in the flesh because of it.
