@airebeam if there is a Rite Aid anywhere in Minnesota these may still be there at a heavy discount.
Assuming Rite Aid didn't already close stores there already...

Debt-laden Rite Aid filed for bankruptcy protection on Sunday and said it would close underperforming stores, as the drugstore chain comes under pressure from lawsuits alleging that it helped fuel the US opioid crisis.
The filing will allow it to resolve litigation claims in an “equitable manner”, the company said, adding it had received a commitment for $3.45bn from some lenders, which will provide liquidity during the bankruptcy process.
Rite Aid, which began as a thrift shop in 1962, became the third largest US chain of drugstores in less than two decades with more than 2,000 retail stores in 17 states.
But it was pummeled by lawsuits alleging pharmacies contributed to an oversupply of prescription opioids, which has played a major role in the more than 1 million deaths due to drug overdoses in the United States since 1999.
Rite Aid had a total debt of $8.60bn as of 3 June, according to a filing with the US bankruptcy court for the district of New Jersey, some of which is due in 2025. It also listed total assets of $7.65bn.

**Friends taking Ozempic please read!!**
I’ve had several people at my pharmacy be caught unaware, so I figured I might spread the word. US-based pharmacies are having a huge shortage+backorder of Ozempic. (I’m not sure how it is in other countries, sorry! Also for reference, I’ve seen people in pharmacy in almost every region mention the Ozempic shortage, from California to Texas to New York. I am from New York.) We’ve been telling customers that truthfully, we aren’t sure how long the wait will be and that whenever our supplier receives more, they will send it out to us.
We’ve gotten word from our supplier (McKesson, which supplies to Rite Aid and, I think, Target) just today that Ozempic 0.25mg will not be received til at best late September, and all other dosage forms again at best late October. If you are taking this medication, we recommend you to immediately ask your doctor for a script for an alternative to Ozempic beforeyou run out, especially in case we need to order whatever replacement your doctor prescribes.
Stay safe everyone!
(For reference I am a pharmacy technician, not a pharmacist. I only post to try and help others, but for accurate information, please contact your pharmacy!)

A poem by Cati Porter
In the Checkout Line at Rite Aid
Walter the clerk asks
How're you doing?
and I say Peachy
and he says You don't look fuzzy
and I say I feel fuzzy
which explains all
the Theraflu and DayQuil
in my basket. Ah so
you have the uncommon cold
and I say Yes indeed I do.
I did too, he says.
How long did it take
you to shake it?
I missed a week of work,
and I think he's been here—
forever? —since my oldest
was a toddler, since
the photo department
mattered, since we used real film,
and those paper envelopes,
and the drop box,
and pushing the double stroller
to Blockbuster afterwards
and picking our weekend DVDs
The Matrix now a "classic"
and Walter, even then, was bald,
and now both of us have put on a few,
and I wonder about the girlfriend
he once mentioned, how her kid
that was not his kid is doing,
wonder about the play structure
he spoke of building, and did he ever
have kids of his own—or is that girlfriend
too in the past? I think this but never ask,
even as he rings us up, me and my
youngest son, who at seventeen now drives
a twenty year old car that, like us,
has seen better days but mostly
it's just cosmetic and heck
at least it still runs. A line has piled up
behind us when Walter finally says
See you later, and I say Yeah.
See you around.

ADHD Supply Issues at Major Pharmacy Chains
Fyi anyone trying to get their Amphetamine-class ADHD meds (Adderall, Vyvanse, etc.) filled there’s wide reporting on the ADHD subreddit of major chains Walgreen’s and CVS trying to gaslight patients over supply chain issues.
Expect to see at bare minimum a three day delay, some are reporting up to a week. It took me five days and we have the screenshots through insurance and the rewards program to show CVS received the doctor’s prescription Friday and lied about it. The robot receptionist said it wasn’t called in. I went there in person and the pharmacist at the fill desk said “For the Vyvanse? It’s not ready.” when I gave my name and DOB. I usually pick up multiple meds at once from that pharmacy. This time only Vyvanse had been called in.
People who go to Walmart and Rite-Aid are also reporting delays but they’ve been more flexible and transparent.
People assumed this was a product of “oh you’re a drug seeker” at first but the increased rudeness and lack of transparency as well as delays have all occurred over the past week and half.
