Les années dorées du roi David touchent maintenant à leur fin. Le livre de 1 Rois commence avec un royaume uni, glorieux et centré sur l'Éternel et se termine avec un royaume divisé, diminué et idolâtre. La raison de ce déclin paraît simple : le manque d'obéissance à Dieu. En découvrant ces événements tragiques, nous pouvons facilement nous identifier aux Israélites, puisque nous sommes exposés aux mêmes attaques qu'eux : matérialisme, jalousie, soif de pouvoir, relâchement des voeux du mariage, superficialité dans la relation avec notre Seigneur.

David était maintenant âgé de soixante-dix ans, sa santé déclinait et son règne touchait à sa fin. De prime abord la proposition de *ses serviteurs* au verset 2 paraît à la fois curieuse et choquante. Cependant, à l'époque cette pratique était considérée comme une thérapie dans le cas d'une maladie comme celle de David, et nullement comme un acte moralement douteux susceptible de créer un scandale public . Fait certain , David *ne...connut pas* sexuellement Abischag ( v.4 ).

Dieu a utilisé des hommes qui le craignaient , comme David et Samuel , pour conduire son peuple ; cela ne les a pas empêchés de rencontrer des problèmes relationnels au sein de leur propre famille. Ce n'est pas parce que vous exercez un service pour le Seigneur que le bien-être spirituel de vos enfants est garanti. Ce n'est pas parce que vous avez l'habitude qu'on suive vos directives que vous devez vous attendre à ce que vos enfants répondent à votre souhait de les voir mener une vie de foi. Des années d'attention constante et de discipline patiente sont nécessaires pour former un caractère moral et spirituel.

Lorsque Saül et David ont été consacrés roi par onction, des sacrifices ont été offerts en souvenir de l'alliance conclue par l'Éternel avec le peuple au mont Sinaï. En offrant des sacrifices, Adonija cherche à légitimer sa prise de pouvoir, mais il n'est pas le successeur que l'Éternel a choisi à David. Ce n'est pas parce qu'on associe une cérémonie religieuse à un évènement qu'il devient conforme à la volonté de Dieu.

As some may already know Rogue of Rogue Lively Art Studio went off on her account stories bullying the creator of these images & dragging Lena's name of Kosomolski dolls thru the mud by posting some little snipet of a conversation with Lena of which we did not get to see the other side, Rogue immediately sent me the convo when I confronted her along with screenshots of the pictures Lena talked about in her account & stated that she did not post the whole thing cause she was swearing up a storm (whatev's gurl & you welcome) drama. Aside from what looks like blood on the younger looking boy toy as she mentioned to me like she dissected every part of the pictures, triggered much? (gurl why u take screenshots?) I personally do not see anything sinister in these pictures like she tried to make it seem. Lena was right to defend the creator of these fetish kink images, people should not be shamed for who they are or what they like. And just cause its not your cup of tea does not mean its wrong.

End of Beyond the Sierras

After almost 4 years, the game I’ve been playing in has come to a close--marking the first time since 2015 that I haven’t been in at least one long running rpg.
