Hello everyone! This post marks the beginning of an endeavor I’ve desired to embark upon for many years now and finally decided to put pen to paper (and fingers to keys) and start. This blog as well as it’s accompanying Instagram will be my literary diary of sorts. I cannot promise you any in depth critiques worthy of our Yale-educated Rory Gilmore, however, I can promise my honest and hopefully humorous take on many a book. I thought what better way to start a literary blog than to tackle the monster challenge of reading Rory Gilmore’s book list. Some of them I have read before, in fact, some of my favorite books ever are noted on her list, and many I’ve had sitting in the proverbial pile beside my bed that I’ve promised to read forever. And of course some I am sure I’ve planned to put off reading indefinitely out of pure spite. Occasionally, for the sake of the books themselves, those which I can’t find a single nice thing to say about, I am sure my dear friend will have a few nice anecdotes in her random drop in posts. Now, I have been going back and forth about just how to read these books and in what order and while I will be starting with a favorite of mine, I am resisting reading all my of favorites and leaving the drab for last. And so, after the initial book, I’ll be reading titles at random, as suggested, or to suit the seasons. I will be posting AT LEAST one book a week, and will most likely read and review books which are not on the list alongside. So grab your tea/coffee/cloud macchiato, a cozy blanket, and a book/kindle/phone, and we’ll start with The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath.

Soooooo in one of my 2019 goals to read/listen to more books, a friend (I'm rethinking this now that we've started the challenge 😂) convinced (coerced😜) me into doing the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge with her.
