as a screenwriter i can't watch movies normally

anyway here are two scenes i would add to the mario movie for more comedic effect bc yeah it was funny, but it could be funnier:

MARIO MOVIE SPOILERS AHEAD

i wish they used luigi more so most of these are luigi centric lmao

- the scene where bowser is practicing asking peach to marry him, it would be funnier if luigi was the one used as the stand-in peach

- this would introduce the opportunity to have luigi say something along the lines of "really? that's what you're going with?"

- this could add a funny, short sideplot where luigi teaches bowser how to approach peach, since he's a human and knows humans

- there could be a lot of silly shenanigans there and it would be a fun little break from the action of mario's scenes

- after peach is threatened into marrying bowser, i would have loved if she got to meet luigi

- she's heard so much about him from mario and i think it would be a really sweet scene for them to meet each other

- she would tell him what happened to mario and luigi could reassure her that he'll be alright. he's always been the strong one.

- peach would then be called to walk down the aisle and, when luigi sees how distressed she is, comes up with a plan.

- we cut to the bride walking down the aisle, the veil hiding her face. a fun little callback to those mario comics where luigi takes peach's place :)

- meanwhile peach is hard at work freeing the prisoners and being a general badass bc i love her

that's all :)

The Mad King

Sit down, snuggle into your blankets and I will tell you story. There is a legend of a Mad king. Though some say he began in this world with a broken mind, this was not so. He was a Great king. They sang his praises, lauded his genius, held him as their paragon. The Mad king was known for his skill and strength on and off the battlefield. He raised his kingdom as he razed those who would see it fall. He was a Great King. But then, something occurred. It made him powerful beyond human capacity. Some say he wasn’t human in the end, but a dark god. He became overzealous. They say he took on whole legions with just a flick of his wrist. That he seduced even the coldest of lovers with a smirk and a twitch of the eyebrow. He had absolute power, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Or so they say. Now I have lived a very long time and there are some things that the stories always miss. The Mad King was not mad because of his power, no. The Mad King was not mad at all. It is true that he was not human, but his power did not make him so. He was never human to begin with. And pray tell, how does one go about understanding something they have no context for, nothing to compare to? They do not deign to understand, so they labeled him Mad. His motives, I never understood, but I did understand this: Children can drive even the most resolute mad, but not mad with malice. He was never a malicious being. He simply loved more than most.

whatever's supposed to happen in season 3 aside, i'm delusional

please enjoy silly ideas about what muriel, crowley, maggie, and nina get up to while aziraphale's gone :)

maggie and nina RUSH to crowley once they find out aziraphale left

both of them know the feeling of rejection and they support him as much as they can

they give him helpful breakup advice and check up on him periodically

over time, the three become good friends

maggie and nina are endlessly curious about the whole heaven/hell/angel/demon/universe thing and crowley answers what questions he can

since crowley's still not bound to hell, the three of them just vibe most of the time

muriel joins them on occasion, when they're not reading a new book

crowley, despite maggie and nina telling him it might be better to keep his distance from the shop for a bit, checks in on muriel and teaches them how to properly take care of the bookshop

as in, don't sell any of the books, don't rearrange any of the books, close and open whenever you want, etc.

occasionally, muriel, maggie, and nina will organize sort of "storytimes" where crowley shares some stories from his past

it starts with the ones without aziraphale. it's still a bit too raw to tell those.

but, eventually, he tells the story of elspeth in edinburgh. or the lost unicorn on noah's arc (which maggie swears she knew were real this whole time)

maggie and nina also teach muriel how to properly blend in with humans

they're not the BEST at it, but they're good enough that they can go get hot cocoa from nina's shop without people staring at them

crowley teaches muriel how to perform miracles. although, angelic miracles are just a bit different than demonic ones. so they both kind of figure it out together

muriel ends up miracling aziraphale's wardrobe to fit them. those are the human clothes they have access to, afterall.

and, besides, the style suits them.

crowley smiles at the look and doesn't comment on it. and nina gives him a reassuring pat on the shoulder.

muriel shares the stories they've read with maggie, who listens enthusiastically

nina suggests muriel write a story of their own

regular customers at give me coffee or give me death now recognize the bookshop owner often in the corner pondering a laptop

nina taught them how to use it. crowley whispers to them that if they tell the laptop what to do with a bit of miraculous energy, it's a lot easier

maggie shows muriel some music. it's so much better than the celestial harmonies that they've had to hear for all these years

they end up liking everything they're shown. from aziraphale's old classical records they found in the bookshop to the queen that plays from crowley's car

muriel adores the bentley. and the bentley eventually warms up to them.

crowley takes muriel to see more of earth, once

well, more of england anyway

there's one time during the drive that the queen melts into an unfamiliar song. something about angels and nightingales.

crowley puts a fist to the dash and it switches back to queen before muriel can grasp what it is

while they're far from the city, the stars are much brighter

muriel hasn't had the chance to see them until then

and crowley tells them another story. about nebulas and galaxies and how they're made. and how gorgeous they really are up close.

muriel doesn't understand why crowley gets so sad talking about something he loves

sometimes residents of the street ask where mr. fell went

maggie and nina will respond that maybe you should mind your own business and they're sure he has his reasons

muriel will smile and say that he's gone on to heaven. then get confused when people offer their condolences

crowley doesn't say anything.

ms sandwich can put together that aziraphale and crowley were an item, though.

and she can certainly see that they aren't anymore

eventually, after a few months, maggie and nina start officially dating

muriel happens to be reading some of aziraphale's romance novels, and they find nina and maggie's relationship utterly adorable

if they ever mention as much tho, nina will tell them to piss off while maggie gets flustered

once, muriel asks maggie and nina when they figured out that they had feelings for each other

crowley is around at that time

muriel, excited by maggie and nina's answers turns to crowley and starts to ask him when he realized he was in love with aziraphale. but they trail off

nina had told them that crowley's not great at talking about aziraphale all the time

they have to wait until he brings it up, okay?

muriel apologizes, but crowley waves a hand

he explains the experience of the first rain

and maggie GASPS

"the rain! back when you were trying to get me and nina together! that was YOU."

crowley just offers a half-smirk and a thumbs-up

alright so anyway no one asked but heres an unhinged angeleyes au

in which scratch is to oscar as john is to arthur

1. scratch causes oscar to have terrible nightmares. solution? arthur cuddle time. talk through problems with arthur time.

2. i just think it's really funny if all four of them try to have a conversation and figure something out and occasionally arthur just has to be like "hold on, john has an idea" and then repeat it to oscar and scratch and then later oscar do the exact same thing

3. john and scratch put aside their differences in order to agree about how annoying it is when their hosts start making out and not listening to either of them

4. john ranting about his dislike of oscar or scratch and arthur not repeating it. but oscar noticing that he's hearing something so he asks "what's john saying?" and arthur's just like "oh. you know. the usual."

5. oscar learns to hold arthur's RIGHT hand. he tried to hold the left once and got punched in the face.

6. (this is cheesy and you're just gonna have to bear with me)

oscar goes quiet during arthur cuddle time and looks like he's listening to something. arthur waits for scratch to stop talking, annoyed that they're interrupting. then, oscar smiles and cuddles closer to arthur, head on his chest, and goes "nope! sorry, scratch. /my/ favorite."

and arthur laughs, oscar feels it more than hears it this close, and tells oscar "that's so stupid"

and oscar laughs and agrees

7. i want, before oscar and arthur are actively an item, for arthur to fall (as he does) and crash into something that breaks his fall and then, kinda dizzy, ask "john, what did we land on?"

and oscar, from where he accidentally happened to be in the way and broke arthur's fall, ask "who's john"

and arthur to QUICKLY sit up, going completely red in the face like "oscar! i didn't... see you there. sorry."

hey gang so you all know this post

you all enjoyed that other bullet fic-esque post i made so i have another one

wild west aziraphale and crowley:

crowley is drunk in a saloon when aziraphale arrives

the moment he walks through the doors, everyone just hears a slurred "AaNGeEL!" from across the room

aziraphale, startled and a bit concerned, advises that maybe crowley should sober up

"nahhh this is the whole fun 'round here 'ngel. watch."

and then he does some dumb shit that gets him into a fight with some big name cowboy

but through some impressive lying and fanangling and overly implying crowley says things that he doesn't

aziraphale ends up taking crowley's place for a duel

(that actually makes the bullet catch a bit funnier, actually. second time aziraphale's being shot at like this)

here's the kicker, though:

aziraphale doesn't want to SHOOT a man??? are you MAD?! hes an ANGEL for hell's sake

he's not going to endanger a human!

crowley sobers up enough to attempt to make a plan with aziraphale

in the end, aziraphale tells crowley that he's just going to miss on purpose!

and then do a miracle so he doesn't get hit, himself.

a draw! that's easy enough

"are you sure you can do a miracle while shooting a gun? takes a lot of focus for both, yknow"

"im quite aware of my own capabilities, thank you."

during the duel, things don't go exactly as planned

aziraphale, ever the angel, is going to follow the rules. 10 paces. then turn and shoot.

this cowboy does not give a fuck and he turns on pace 5 and shoots

crowley's "AZIRAPHALE!" rings through the crowd as aziraphale gets hit in the back

he runs and all but slides to the ground next to aziraphale

the cowboy loads his gun again but crowley gives one SNAP in his direction and he's GONE.

he turns into a cactus, he disappears, he literally dies, i don't know but he's OUT OF THE PICTURE

aziraphale isn't even hurt, actually, he's just shocked

"but... that's not fair!! that's cheating!"

crowley moves to miracle the wound but aziraphale stops him

there are humans watching. he can't just be healed immediately!! that would draw far too much attention, which they really don't need right now

crowley rolls his eyes, but gets another idea

cut to aziraphale playing dead in crowley's arms

crowley gives a very exaggerated "WELL! MY FRIEND IS DEAD! I MUST TAKE HIM TO THE BURIAL GROUNDS! CIAO!"

they get to a more hidden area. an abandoned building perhaps.

"outstanding performance, angel. five stars."

"yes, yes, now put me down. this is utterly humiliating."

"i dunno, angel, i think this is a good look for you."

"crowley."

he puts aziraphale down and aziraphale moves to miracle the wound

but the wound has already been fixed. as has the hole the bullet made in his coat.

he gives crowley a pleasantly surprised look

before he can give any compliments or praises though

crowley cuts him off with "i think i need a drink. you coming, angel?"
