I saw my old SPN fanart get notes again today, so i just went back to my SPN folder, saw my last fanart of Victor Rogers (S08E18) for a multi-authored artbook, and this draft sketch i made before the organizer told me the main character fanart was full so I had to choose side characters. Elaine Lee: I wanted to ask, what was the difference between this season and the other seasons?

Siobhan: Oh, we were much dumber in this season.

Zac: We were just really embracing the chaos. I think in past seasons, maybe half the group would be like, “No, don’t do that!” and we wouldn’t do that, because their character would be a little more lawful, or just reserved in that way. But here just everyone...

Brian: Yeah, we’re all kinda rogues. Even though at different levels.

Emily: It felt like what was most at stake was our self-interest. And I’m more willing to gamble with my self-interest than someone else’s.

Brennan: That’s exactly what it is. These are rogue characters, these are scoundrels. There have been many other seasons, like Unsleeping City, [where] you guys are responsible for the fate of all these innocent people. So you can’t do risky stuff. You have to do the thing that you know is gonna work and be stable. But in this it’s like, “if I get zapped off the face of the void, well, I was already probably gonna die anyway”.

Zac: It’s another normal day in space.

Siobhan: Yes, and sometimes the things that are right and the things that are right for me don’t fully line up, and you just have to live with that, in a very realistic way.

Brennan: A hundred percent. In poker, an actual part of poker strategy is, if you start getting really low in chips, you’re supposed to start going all in at a certain point. At a certain point, you’re like, well, I have to. Like, I’m just like getting bled out here with this tiny chip count. And that felt like very much the attitude.
