ok so @peanut-with-wifi-access requested i liveblog lmk (coming from a ninjago fan) so here are my thoughts so far! im currently on s1 ep5 so heres a recap of my thoughts
starting off with ep 3 coming home! now if i had a nickel for every green coloured lego character biologically related to dragons... anyway i loved this episode, love mei! cant wait to see more of her and her heritage because that is reeeallly interesting
ok ep 4 noodles or death! so this is the bitch who robbed us of spider legged harumi!!! jokes but judging off the ending and the title of the second lmk special i know she'll be making a return and im really excited! she seems like a fun villain
ep 5 calabash! can i first start off by saying THANK YOU for not pushing mei and mk to be together i really appreciate how not every girl and guy need to be automatically shipped! also love how MK puked at the thought of it for a second i thought this was going in another direction and i wanted to cry (ninjago fans ifykyk) i really do see them as the siblings ever i love their dynamic sm
also these twins are so fun hope they make a reappearance! also what does the calabash do exactly? just trap people like is there a benefit???
anyway i was told it would get a lot darker so um definitely kinda scared! but so far im enjoying the silly adventures also cant wait to meet the macaque guy seems like a fan favourite
Hazbin Hotel episode 4 - I loved the episode to death, the greatest so far, has two absolute bangers of songs, and circles around my favorite character(s) in the show thus far. As a warning to all, the main theme of it made my stomach churn. It's good that it's there and it's something uncomfortable that needs to be brought up and talked about more.
I love the pauses between Goliath's phrases here, like even as he speaks these words, he's not sure he can believe it. He didn't know what to expect as the sun began to rise the night before, drugged, chased by enemies, needing the aid of a human he doesn't really know if he can trust, because can he trust any humans?
But he wakes up. That alone is a miracle. For him it is still very fresh just how quickly one can be put to sleep by the sun and never come back. And he is exactly where he was when the sun froze him. And Elisa is there, still at his side.
This is the kind of relationship gargoyles are meant to live with alongside humans. While he was able the night before, he kept Elisa safe. When day came, she did the same for him and made sure he woke up the next night.
This is the community he worked for and thought he'd never be able to rely on again, and he's slow to admit it but fully appreciative of the situation.
What strikes me is that he did trust Xanatos the daybefore. He stayed where a human knew he and his would be stone, and even this day his clan slept under the knowledge of Xanatos. He may not trust the man and yet he doesn't do anything about this. But, it is Xanatos's home and Central Park is not Elisa's. She stayed away from her home all this time to protect him, and that is something.
Rewatching season one and I’m on the Klaus torture episode and-
After Klaus tells Hazel and Cha-Cha about the ghosts, and Ben says “nicely done,” one of the ghosts high fives him. It’s such a small detail but it caught me off guard and it’s just- Ben’s really just becoming pals with the other ghosts while Klaus is suffering, huh?
(Obviously that’s not exactly the case but it’s still so funny.)
One minute Lily is working out, then it dawns on her why she's been feeling so ill lately... she's pregnant!
She finishes up her cardio and cleans up before heading home. Lucky George was staying up to greet her so she was able to tell him the exciting news.
It's just like Lily to be slaying while pregnant, work!
In honour of his love for his wife and how proud he is of her achievements and pregnancy, George gets a tattoo.
In the meantime Lily is at the library reading a pregnancy book, preparing for motherhood. George meets her there afterwards.
Just in the nick of time too as Lily went into labour right there. The hospital is across the road so it was a short walk.
It was a dark night, the first night of winter on a full moon. The first sprinkle of snow fell as the baby was born, could this be a sign of the new heir?
Yes! We have the new heir Lola heading home to rest with her parents.
George is smitten and vows to care for her and spoil her rotten.
Lily searches the paper the next day for the birthing announcement.
George takes Lola for a stroll in the snow.
Here she is, the 2nd Generation Cavanaugh and the first heir Lola.
