Xip flag

A flag made in mind for people who prefer the term "xip," (xenogender equivalent to boy/girl) and may not use the term xenan (xenogender equivalent to man/woman), at all on top of it, though people who also use those terms can use this too. Just keep in mind that this flag is specifically for xips and people who use that term, not necessarily any other. Anyone who considers themself some kind of xip is welcome to use this.

Inspired by @kenocoric-moved‘s girl flag

Depths Asunder is an 18+ pirate interactive fiction infused with magic. It follows you, a young and fresh pirate captain, contracted to find a gem that is rumored to manipulate life and death to the wearer. It's a race against other crews who are just as determined to fulfill the contract and collect their riches.

Your mother was a legend in the seas; a revered pirate captain, her legacy has followed you even after her death. All you want is to live up to the legacy she has given your family name, though all you've amounted to so far is the occasional thievery to survive.

When you're contracted by rich and powerful noble you're promised a swell of riches. In return, you must find and bring back a rare treasure that holds power beyond anything you know. Countless crews have attempted to find it, only to either end up dead or lost.

Now, it's your turn to collect your crew and bring your ship to the sea. You'll go up against not only dangerous mythological creatures of the sea but other ruthless pirates determined to find the treasure before you.

As you travel through the world of Sikara, you'll find that there's an even bigger mystery afoot. Will it all be worth it?

Customize your pirate captain from identity, your nickname, pronouns, gender which changes the story, appearance, personality.

Decide what kind of pirate captain you are: are you a bloodthirsty pirate hellbent on destruction? Or a merciful captain paving a new path? Do you treat your crew with kindness or hostility? Are you relaxed or a dictator?

Customize your ship: name your ship, choose the look, the features and enchantments. Will it help you during your sea battles?

Stop at different locations: will you raid like a typical pirate or help the locals? Will you steal treasure?

Customize your crew and decide who joins you on your journey. And who walks the plank.

Captain Morgan 'Deadeye' Price [m or f]: Morgan is the bloodthirsty captain of the Lady Triton. They also happen to be your biggest rival, seeing as they're the child of the pirates that killed your mother. Morgan is bloodthirsty, unforgiving, cold and arrogant, and is determined to find the treasure. Part of you thinks they care less about the coin and more about beating you....and eventually killing you.

𓊝 enemies to lovers, rivals

Anton/Antonia St. Marteen [m or f]: The nobleman/woman who contracted you. They insisted on joining you on your travels, determined to see the treasure for themself. You don't know much about them other than the fact that they are stinking rich, which is all you need to know. Unfortunately, being on the sea with them means you're their unofficial bodyguard.

𓊝 bodyguard romance (MC is the bodyguard), forbidden, opposites attract (noble and pirate)

Castor Morgana [m or f]: the stowaway that hid in your ship alongside their sister, Ruth. Majority of your crew wants them thrown overboard, though a few think Castor can be helpful to the cause. It's up to you to make the final choice.

Gaelin 'Straightlace' Haval [m or f]: your best friend, second-in-command, and advisor. Gaelin is levelheaded, logical, serious, and deals little with emotion. They also seem to be the only one who cares little of pirate culture. They just want the mission done.

𓊝 best friends to lovers, opposites attract (possibly)

Sage/Soren of The Sea [m or f]: a mermaid/merman who, in a series of events, ends up on your ship. It's lucky that they grow legs off-sea, but no matter how human they look, they treat you as an enemy. Pirates and merpeople don't mix, and Sage/Soren is determined to keep a distance, even if the world of humans interests them so. They don't trust you, not with all the blood that's been spilled from both sides.

Ruth Underwood [non-RO]: Castor's younger half- sister. She seems to have taken a liking to you, following you around like a puppy. How you deal with her is up to you.

so my question is; What do you consider to be good faith identities and contradictory labels?

im genuinely only making this post because i cant find ANY resources about them, so i'll probably make my own definition resource rentry, so i need a lot of opinions :3 if you are going to reblog and answer, please be specific with your answer!! please and thank you!! and also, you can talk about your own experiences with complex gender/orientation/etc as well !!

Xip+, is when one identifies completely as a Xip(link), plus additional genders. One doesn't feel partially Xip, and one isn’t fluid - one is entirely a Xip, plus more. One may not know specifically what the additional gender/genders are, so Xip+ may be the best way to describe it. Or, one may have a lot of genders, but they all feel like they are simply additional while one's main gender is Xip/Xenan/Xenic/Xenen, etc.

[Their Multiverse watch starts alarming the Spider Radiant, annoying them in the process.]

Arachnis: Oh my god. *Answers the call* What? Can’t you see I’m in the middle of something?

Miguel: Nice hearing from you, Arachnis.

Arachnis: Oh, O’Hara. I’m busy trying to save my world right now. What is it this time?

Miguel: Another variant leaked into your dimension and it’s moving fast.

Arachnis: What? Now? *Sighs* Guess I’m shooting it down then.

Miguel: Don’t. You barely managed to not kill off that Doc Ock variant from last time.

Arachnis: Right. Tore that bastard to pieces.

Miguel: Just trap the anomaly and bring it back to HQ.

Arachnis: Got it, boss.

Jett: Was that your boss, [Y/N]?

Arachnis: Yes and I’m starting to feel annoyed around him than fearing his existence lately.

Jett: He looks cute.

Arachnis: Excuse me? He’s built like a tarantula on steroids. *Spider senses triggered* It’s here.

[A portal opens in the sky, some unidentified object flew out and about to cause havoc.]

Phoenix: Uh guys?

Sage: Arachnis, I believe you have some business to take care of.

Arachnis: A Vulture variant? Get it distracted.

Jett: Will do! *Updrafts high enough to distract the Vulture* Over here, ugly! *Throws her kunai knives at it*

Vulture: *Barely dodges the attack* What are you doing?!

Arachnis: *Places their gun down and shoots web at the Vulture* Full spider mode! *Yanks themselves towards their enemy*

[The Spider Radiant first lands a punch at the Vulture and then kicks it down, falls ungratefully to the ground. Everyone tackles it down from escaping.]

Vulture: *Struggles to be released* Let go of me!

Arachnis: *Cocks their Frenzy* Uh uh! No way. You have wings, I have a gun ready to shoot your feathered-ass head.

Vulture: Do it! Shoot me!

Arachnis: *CLICK!*

Vulture: *Flinches* Oh my god, you were about to shoot me!

Sage: [Y/N].

Arachnis: I’m sorry. *Reloads the gun* But it needs to cooperate. Now, calm down and I’ll help send you back to your dimension. We’ll release you if cooperation is present. *Nods at their team*

[The Valorant agents cautiously release their bonds against the villain.]

Vulture: *Pushes everyone off* Finally! I’m free!

Arachnis: *Punches it out cold* Nope. *Encases it with the holographic trap*

Arachnis: *Drags in the unconscious Vulture variant* Anyone order chicken?

Miles: *Surprised* You took down the Vulture all by yourself?

Arachnis: Actually, my team aided me when we were on a mission at FRACTURE. Brimstone and everyone else are keeping this on the low so hopefully people back on Earth-2020-2 won’t mistaken these villains as Rogue Radiants.

Gwen: [Y/N], you sound concerned. Did something happen back in your dimension?

Arachnis: *Nods and shakily sighs* Non-Radiants called us freaks after the First Light and blamed our existence for the unnatural occurrences that happened. Some of us had to go low-profile and Radiant related crimes skyrocketed over the past months. Even Kingdom was under suspicion during those times while responsible for the Radianite development.

[Miles and Gwen look at each other with concern for their friend.]

[Arachnis was alone watching old news clips of the Venice incident and other covers of the First Light on their phone.]

Arachnis: *Sighs in solemn*

Peter B. Parker: Hey [Y/N], why the long face?

Arachnis: Oh, Peter. It’s nothing. Just today I realized how much a disaster would be if I didn’t catch the Vulture.

Peter B. Parker: Gwen and Miles told me about your world’s history. *Sits next to them* Wanna talk about it?

Arachnis: *Shrugs* It’s only that I don’t want anymore people to misunderstand Radiants like me or others I care for. I still remember the first time I received my powers. Just me, working at my old job while minding my business until that event happened. I got so spooked that I jumped high enough to stick to the ceiling. Everybody around me freaked out and I had to flee away from the sight.

Peter B. Parker: Oh kid, I’m sorry you experienced that.

Mayday: *Crawls into Arachnis’s arms* *Looks up worried for them*

Arachnis: Oh Mayday… *Pushes the hair out of her face* I’ll be okay so don’t worry too much about me.

Peter B. Parker: Oh! How about this? Everyone tours around your world and show us a fun time. Maybe introduce us to your Valorant buddies.

Arachnis: Are you sure? My colleagues can be unpredictable at times.

Peter B. Parker: Come on. We dealt worst things on the job.

Arachnis: Alright. Don’t complain that I didn’t warn you.
