I just rewatched the confrontation scene between Amanda and Nikita in the finale

And I know I’ve said it before but I just have so much love in my heart for Nikita acknowledging her darkness and her anger and her short comings and not shying away from the fact that they’re part of what makes her who she is. But also that she knows she has agency and the ability to choose to be a better person and that by surrounding herself by loving and uplifting people she’s able to keep striving to be who she wants to be. It’s just such a relatable and nuanced take that we hardly ever get to see, especially for women, and I will be eternally grateful to the writers for making that who she is and to Maggie for playing that so perfectly

i have SO many thoughts about Buck and Bobby and their relationship, but 5x02 was REALLY testing my emotional limits like damn

First off, I was already screaming when Bobby legit climbed into a precariously hanging helicopter secured with nothing more than a loosely tied firehose??? Like, that was barely a proper knot, and I know it was just a handwavey "of course this will properly hold his weight" thing but that felt so chaotic and reckless uhhhh, like son like father I guess.

Second, the fact the Buck was the first person to jump on and grab that hose for Bobby, like he was already going for the same idea. It made me feel things. Buck was there to support Bobby the second he needed him, even with the crazy ideas. Also, I don't know a lot about firefighting, but I do know this. Buck being the first person to hold on to the hose meant (in my interpretation) that he would be the first one in the line of defense should Bobby be in any danger at any moment. Buck put the entire responsibility of holding Bobby up on his shoulders, even before anyone else noticed and backed him up in helping Bobby. For me, it was also a vivid reminder of the scene in 4x06 when the team helps Buck lift the huge canister. Third, the moment when the helicopter fell, and the sound cut out? That was such a gorgeous cinematic choice, and honestly, one of my favorite moments in the show. I've had moments of horror like that, where I am was terrified that I couldn't hear anything except my own heartbeat rushing through my head, and the closeup of Buck's horrified face and the audio cutting out right there was one of the best things I've ever seen. I felt my own heart drop out right there, like Buck's heart was breaking and I had to watch it happen.

also, Oliver Stark putting his whole heart and soul into these scenes is just something that can be so personal. (sorry for the sad sad quality sc lol)

in summary, Bobby is Buck's dad confirmed for like the millionth time

That is so hard but I would say my favs align pretty heavily with fandom favs: 2x01, 3x13, 4x02, 4x06, 4x08, 4x12, 5x11, 5x13, 5x14, 6x02, 6x13, 6x14 It's interesting because before SC fics I was not into AUs whatsoever and wasn't really into tropes. I strictly read canon missing moments to be honest. BUT NOW! I love really long fics that show relationship development. AUs are great, enemies to friends to lovers, there was only 1 bed, mutual pining, memory loss. Ahh! I'm sorry I am not giving you much to narrow down here lol

I hate how the writers are completely erasing stelena and pretending like SE never happened. It makes me so mad. And trying to make it look like SC was a thing from the start, it's ridiculous.

The thing is though, have the writers completely erased Stelena? Because from where I’m standing they haven’t at all. I’ve said it before, but Stelena by far have the best track record of any “sailed ship”, for lack of a better term. They broke up in 4x06 and since then have had consistent mentions, scenes and moments where their love and history is acknowledged (x). I’d agree, that a lot of the importance of their relationship is overlooked or ignored, but that’s what’s necessary if the writers want to have St*roline as being canon at the moment. It would be impossible to have them canon and at the same time be constantly talking about how much Stefan and Elena were in love and that she was the love of his life. It’s just common sense that the writers are going to sweep over any past relationships they have to in order to keep their current ships canon.

But the writers could never and would never completely erase Stelena, we’ve seen that there’s a part of them that can’t let go of such a beautiful ship. Even as recent as a few episodes ago, Stefan was willing to sacrifice himself to save Elena’s life. Does that sound like a love that has been completely erased? Plus, we also know that regardless of what nature the scene turns out to be, Stelena are having an emotional moment together in the finale, which is even more proof that the writers definitely haven’t forgotten about Stelena.

Honestly, even if Stelena aren’t endgame, I’m so grateful that of all the other ships that have ended on the show that Stelena are my OTP, because at least I’ve had acknowledgement and closure for my ship every single step of the way. What have Forwood shippers had? Or Klaroline shippers? What about Beremy? Maroline? The list could go on, but you get the point. The TVD writers have a terrible history of ending relationships and pretending they never even existed afterwards (I mean, honestly, do not even get me started on Forwood, I’m so pissed at what they did to them), but they’ve never ever done that with Stelena. Their love is still always hanging in the background, we had that beautiful goodbye scene in 6x22 where even at that point Elena was still telling Stefan she loved him so much, they were called soulmates, Elena told Stefan he saved her life and made her happy at a time she felt lost and hopeless and even in season 8 we’ve had Stefan saying in 8x09 saying that Elena Gilbert never really goes away and him sacrificing himself for her. Stelena is the one ship on this show, that no matter whether it’s currently canon or not, never ends.
