The true crime is waiting so long for Jodie

I have a love/hate relationship with the True Detective crime series. Love because it's consistently good ... hate because you just never know when a new season is going to turn up.

Seriously, Season 1 (my favourite so far) with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson debuted in January of 2014. Season 2 with Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams showed up in the summer of 2015. Then there was a long dry spell before Season 3 with Mahershala Ali (who starred in the Netflix film "Leave the World Behind" that sparked a rather hilarious conversation at our house over New Year's weekend) graced us in January of 2019. Now ... four years after that ... we are FINALLY getting Season 4 starring my fantasy dinner guest Jodie Foster starting January 14th on HBO Max or whatever the hell that streaming service is called in your part of the world these days. At least I'm confident it will have been worth the wait.
