Cure Happy!

I finally finished Smile! I enjoyed it a lot. Sure, the story was a bit lackluster, but the humor was on point. My favorite character was Yayoi, and my favorite villain is both Joker and Wolfrun.

Yandere Simulator redesigns!

I decided to do YS redesigns! Also, just because I redesign this game doesn’t mean that I support the creator. He can go rot in Hell. Anyways, with all that out of the way, let’s begin!

Ayano Aishi

Ayano is no longer emotionless and empty. She’s a girl who suffers from neglect. She witnessed abuse between her parents, and thus, shut out the world and her feelings. Her parents tried to be supportive, but they were busy and incredibly stressed. She has difficulty talking about her emotions. When Ayano goes to 4th grade, she met Taro when they were paired up on a group project. Taro talked about his family life, and Ayano said that everything was fine. However, he noticed her eyes and encouraged her to open up. She fell in love at that moment. 

Osana Najimi

Osana is still Taro’s childhood friend. She’s not physically or emotionally abusive towards him. She denies her feelings because of what happened with other guys in the past. She’s still a person with a fiery passion, so it’s sometimes difficult to get along with her. However, she and Taro are good friends. They grew up on the same street. Osana has a pool, so both Taro and Hanako swam at her house during summer. She and him have all sorts of inside jokes, and they like bantering with each other. It’s a playful friendship. She can be killed by the fan, but to defeat her without killing her, you have to befriend her and get her to open up. If you kill her, Taro will be depressed.

Amai Odayaka

Amai is a sweet girl who bakes. She always found solace while baking thanks to her dad yelling at her along with having to deal with bullies. She always had a crush on Taro since her freshman year. They got to bond a bit during gym class. She’s a little slow and he felt bad for her to be left in the dust, so he slowed down and chatted with her. They don’t talk a lot, but they still wave at each other in the hallway. When Osana dies, Amai comforts Taro.  The only thing I did was give her a vest.

Kizana Sunobu

Kizana was always a drama queen. Taro met her because they were lacking an actor for Jack for their production of Into the Woods. Kizana was cast as Cinderella. During rehearsals, they worked together and sometimes afterwards, Kizana would walk him to his locker, complaining about how tiresome rehearsal is. She was never particularly fond of Taro, considering that he’s a guy, and she’s only attracted to girls. However, they become good friends and still talk. Taro is usually her go-to when they need a male actor. 

Oka Ruto

Oka is the kid who always has her nose in a book. She doesn’t care about her appearance, and is rather shy. She has a special interest in the occult. She saw a ghost in her house, or so she claims. Her mom was a bookworm and an artist. She ran into Taro in the library one day, and they talked about books. Both Oka and Taro have crushes on each other, but they don’t know how to act on their feelings.  I gave her leg warmers and a sweater for the unkempt effect. The occult club is now called the Goth club, and they check out haunted places, do makeup, listen to music, and watch movies.

Asu Rito

Asu is the girl who always woke up at 5:00 to run around the track and warm up. She went into sports when she was five. She genuinely enjoyed sports, and so she continued doing track, swimming, diving, and gymnastics. She quit gymnastics at the age of ten because of the competitive side. Her dad took her for a morning jog every day. Her happy personality is to hide the fact that she’s grieving for her mom who passed due to cancer. She keeps this fact hidden because she doesn’t want pity from others, and she doesn’t want them to worry. Taro met her during swim lessons when he was five. She was impressive even then. He admires her for her determination and strength.

Hayami Kaneko

Hayami Kaneko is the nurse’s shadow. She plans to become a nurse, and she helps the school nurse throughout the day. Taro feels sick, so he drags his way to the nurse’s office where they meet. She’s technically older than him, having her birthday earlier in the year. He enjoys her company and decides to fake being sick to be with her. He has a crush on her. She doesn’t have a crush on him. She’s clumsy, but not in a cute way, and she wants to be coordinated because being clumsy as a nurse could lead to bad accidents.

Akemi Hara

Mida Rina is a substitute teacher who enjoys substituting, isn’t dressed inappropriately, and is a normal teacher. She looks at Taro’s grades and decides that he needs a tutor for his less than stellar grades. The tutor is named Akemi Hara. Akemi is in the same year as Taro and he has seen her before in his classes throughout the years. She’s usually the second top student. The first is always Megami. Taro thought she was quiet and shy, but she’s really good at talking his ear off. She’s confident in herself. She helps Taro bring up his grades, and they even bond at the library after tutoring.

Osoro Shindesu

Osoro is still the tough delinquent we all know and love. She was a shy, kind girl who was bullied constantly for her blonde hair. The ones who saved her were the local delinquents, so she admired them and joined them. She beat up her harassers because she had enough, and earned her reputation as a tough person not to be messed with. She has to keep her kind side locked away at home. Her parents kicked her out of their house when she was thirteen. She came out to them as panromantic, and they rejected her. She lives alone in an apartment and has a job. One day, she helped her sister by fighting some bullies. This caused her to be suspended for about seven weeks. Taro was constantly intimidated by her in the hallway. He was paired up with her for a group project. He talked to her, and she appreciated him. She likes going to Taro for advice, as he knows her best.

Hanako Yamada

Hanako is still Taro’s little sister. She’s a happy, slightly naive, and clingy sister. She’s extremely close with Osana, so if she dies, Hanako will be trying to cheer her brother up while also grieving herself. Her and Taro’s mom is usually busy, so Taro and Hanako made their own fun. She was actually bullied at her old school, so Taro requested her to transfer because he noticed her behavior was different when school started. Oh, and she’s only a freshman. She says she doesn’t want friends, but to defeat her without killing her, you have to seek out students that would like her. Also, if you kill her, Taro will be so depressed that he’s no longer thinking about school or finding love. He will drop out, and you lose the game. 

Megami Saikou

Megami is the top student and the student body president. You either want to be her, love her, or you despise her. Her dad is the principal. Taro admires her, but doesn’t have a crush on her. She’s too cool for him. She’s only obsessed with finding who is murdering students. However, if no murders occur, she will not show up and Ayano ultimately wins her one true love. 

Taro Yamada

He loves classical music, literature, and art, which gives him a sense of sophistication. As the game goes on, we learn more about him through his interactions with others. While he keeps to himself, he does have some acquaintances. Also, I’m currently watching Vampire Knight, and I immediately saw the similarities between my redesign of Taro and the headmaster, which is hilarious.

MLP OCs as humans!

Equestria Girls was a thing, and I wanted to draw my Mane Six OCs as humans.

Diamond Best’s the Element of Magic, and she’s pressured to be the best by her parents, so her whole arc is about her basically getting over her trauma and anxiety. Also, she’s the blue one. Twinkletoes is the Element of Laughter who loves to perform.

This is Electric Charm, the confident prankster of the group. She’s the Element of Loyalty.

The punk’s name is Phantasia, and she’s the sweetest person ever who loves drinking tea and reading books. She works at the library, and is the Element of Kindness.

The topmost one is Wintersong, a pony who loves to generously share music with the world.

And finally we have my goth girl, Azure Shadow! She’s honest, hardworking, and knows how to decorate. She’s the next in line for her father’s jewelry business. She loves jewelry, makeup, and the macabre.

Yurick from The Last Story

I just recently finished The Last Story, and I really enjoyed it. Sure, it’s not particularly deep or complex, but it’s fun and I liked the entire party. My two favorites are Yurick and Syrenne. They’re just great. Also, I decided to check out this game thanks to Operation Rainfall, so that’s cool.

Marcy art!

I just finished Amphibia, and I had to draw my favorite, Marcy! Of course I love Anne and Sasha too, but Marcy’s just relatable. True Colors didn’t kill me, but Olivia and Yunan sure did. :) Also, I’m totally drawing Anne and Sasha soon, so look forward to that. One of my favorite aspects of Amphibia is seeing Thai culture being represented in a cartoon. I’m half Thai, so it’s really nice hearing the language I grew up around. I don’t speak Thai myself, but my mom and grandparents do, and hearing it in an actual show is awesome.

Ask my Sides #1: Hello Charlotte

Saige: Good morning, world!

Athena: It’s six o’clock. Why do you have to be so loud?

Saige: I’m just excited, that’s all.

Rebecca: Pray tell, what is this about?

Saige: Well, it’s mail time! I wonder what questions our anonymous friend has for us? *She opens the fleshy envelope dotted with blinking eyes.* Ah, here we are. The Puppeteer asks “Who is your favorite character from Hello Charlotte?” Sophia: *yawn* Who’s making this racket? Some of us are trying to sleep.

Athena: I always took you as a morning person.

Sophia: I am, just not today. Our host stayed up… again.

Saige: Sorry about that, guys. I’ll tone it down just for you.

Sophia: Thank god. Also, speaking of god, my favorite character is Charles/Vincent. He’s such a good example of the error of idolizing someone you’ve never met. Idolatry never ends well for anyone, as nobody is perfect, as seen with Vincent and his suicidal disposition. Also, his work often has the protagonist being alone in the world or meeting their exact copy, which gives us a look into his outlook on life.

Athena: Yeah, Vincent’s cool, I suppose. My personal favorite is Felix. He’s a tsundere scientist who cares for everyone in the House, and he’s usually the voice of reason. The clone thing is surprising, and he genuinely cares for people, especially Charlotte.

Rebecca: Felix has an adorable design, but my favorite’s always been Bennett. He’s such a bundle of energy and hyperness, and then you learn about his backstory, and you want to hug him so much. His design is also really cool.

Saige: Bennett’s awesome! Though, it takes until Part 2 to see him without his hazmat suit’s mask. Personally, my favorite’s Charlotte. She’s an adorable, sweet girl who deserves the world and doesn’t deserve to suffer.

Athena: I’m guessing you’re talking about the original Charlotte.

Saige: Yep.

Sachiko: Otherwise, it would’ve been 084 Charlotte, who’s a bloody murderer and my favorite character! Hahahaha!

Athena: I’m not surprised.

Vanessa: What’s this cacophony?

Saige: Oh, sorry, were you trying to sleep?

Vanessa: Not particularly. By the way, what are you discussing?

Rebecca: Hello Charlotte!

Vanessa: Oooooh, how fun. Well, my personal favorite is Henrietta/Anri. Sure, she seems like a bitch at first, but when you learn that she’s based on Charles’ best friend, you learn how he sees her versus her true feelings towards him. It’s a true tragedy indeed.

Rebecca: Yes, and I know that you just love tragedies!

Vanessa: I mean, you should enjoy tragic tales as well, considering your occupation and dreams.

*Rebecca growls. Athena steps between them.* Athena: Guys, chill. We’re here to have fun, not to fight. Rebecca: Fine.

Athena: Anyways, who’s left?

Ari: Luna and I. By the way, hey.

Sophia: Morning, dude.

Rebecca (under her breath): Tryhard.

Ari: My favorite character’s the Oracle. They’re a mysterious god-like being whose backstory and world-building is intriguing. Plus, I like how they change from Episode One, from a benign, gentle person to a manipulative, cynical character. Also, their design is peak.

Athena: Frei’s cool.

Luna: Indeed, darlings. My favorite’s V19, as she is the bustiest babe around. I mean, her bra size is supposedly an E. She’s not too interesting as a character herself, but sometimes you just need something to entice you.

Saige: Ew. I would rather have a visually unappealing character who’s deep and interesting rather than a blank slate body pillow.

Sophia: I think most sane, non-addicted people share your opinion, Saige, especially nowadays. I mean, just look at LoL characters. Usually, the community likes the more unique ones, like Jinx and Illaoi, and the more forgettable ones are those like Irelia and Karma.

Rebecca: I totally agree with that as a creator. We’ve seen way too many stereotypically pretty ladies in media, and I think it’s time for more variety.

Luna: Jesus, I was just giving my opinion, and y’all attacked me out of nowhere. Fine. If my opinion isn’t wanted, then so be it.

*Their conversation fades into the background.* Athena: I lost track of the convo. How the hell did we get from Hello Charlotte to League of Legends?

Ari: It’s entertaining though, right?

Athena: Eh, not really. I’m gonna go watch Gregory Horror Show for the tenth time.

*Ari now has a bucket of popcorn.*

Ari: Bye. I’ll be enjoying these guys for a while.

*The faded conversation comes back into focus.* Sophia: Saige technically started this whole thing.

Luna: Saige, darling, let’s talk about this…

Saige: How heckin’ dare you accuse me of this! It wasn’t my fault! Plus, you wanted my opinion, didn’t you?!

Rebecca: You are the one who made the comment in the first place.

Saige: You agreed with me though! Are you turning against me…

Vanessa: And you said that I’m the snake in this group.

Rebecca: Shut up, Vanessa.

Vanessa: Did I… strike a nerve?

Saige: I’m sick of this. That’s it! I’m leaving!

Ari: Awww, that’s it? I was hoping for a fistfight or something…

Luna: I… I don’t know what to do, Sophia…

Sophia: Emotions are complicated, but I’m sure you’ll figure something out. After all, you and Saige are related.

Luna: Thanks, sweetheart. How about we have some fun?

Sophia: Sorry, but I’ve got to go organize my bookshelves for the tenth time.

Luna: Oh. Well, that’s all right, darling. You go do that now.

*The others leave in silence.*

Shinigami Master Detective Archives

I’m honestly surprised at how much I enjoyed Rain Code. It really only had one dud case, which was the bombing one. I love most of the characters (Desuhiko gets on my nerves way too much). Even so, I hope we get more of this series.
