all I’m saying is, scooby doo is ultimately about friendship and teamwork and actively making them mean and not liking each other is changing the core of the show and their characters thank you and goodnight

Earlier today I realized, much to my horror, that I've never drawn Daphne in my favourite era of hers
Gotta adore this look! The blazer? The more prominent amount of green? The simplistic style and smart, elegant vibe? Just drop-dead gorgeous
Oh and I've always loved her blue eyes, I mean no hate for Mystery Incorporated show but purple eyes for character that wears purple? really? (Also that Daphne was kinda meh in general if you ask me idk)

I'm having fun imagining new outfits for Scooby Doo and crew bc they're in college in my incarnation, they've grown and changed.
Velma has red overalls with deep pockets and matching hiking boots.
Daphne still has her dress but she swapped her heels for boots that match Velma and her scarf for a hideous green jacket with deep pockets that she loves.
Fred still has his ascot but now has a matching jacket with Daphne that's covered in pins and buttons and has deep pockets.
Shaggy is still the same, he already had deep pockets

SD-- Ghost Town
Tumblr media
After the timeline reset, Mystery Incorporated - the new one - went off to Miskatonic University to continue solving mysteries, gathering experience about timelines and the same type of mysteries they always solved. At least, that's what happened in one timeline. In another timeline, the gang went on an almost year-long road trip doing what they did best: solving mysteries. The current Mystery Incorporated from Timeline [REDACTED] has found itself in the latter timeline, the same happening to the other group of mystery-solving young people. With no recollection of how they got there, they can only go to the few people they know could or would help, the people they hope to trust no matter the timeline. With new faces in Crystal Cove, there's more threats in the place they used to call home. Gone were the sunny people with no harm against them; everyone's the same as usual in this timeline. Or is it?

Agshagsg my scooby posts on here are always like two sentences and super vague or whatever and then the tags have like a five paragraph meta essay that gets super off topic and into the impact of evolving media and streaming ahfiadhahehsh

NOT AGAIN AGH 🙈
#anyways highkey considering rewatching goes hollywood teehee#and its all super specific to my own experience ofc. bc i forget that sd for the dootuals (and others!) may not have been a monumental part#of their childhood and their no. 1 interest/favorite thing/obsession for YEARS#like scooby literally helped me learn how to READ. how do i introduce someone to that for the first time ever. how do i convey the enormity#of that.#like how do i show someone the feeling of playing cheesy scooby themed web games on the computer at my grandmothers house. of eating#EXCLUSIVELY scooby fruit snacks (i loved the little blue ones) and playing scooby dominoes and having a toy mystery machine and little toy#gang members that i can STILL see the bite marks on and checking out something for the very first time at my school library in kindegarten#and its a scooby doo comic with batman and wonder woman in it. and being daphne for Halloween (i was always daphne and my brother always#shaggy) and learning to READ and love reading as i TORE through the scooby solve it yourselves at school.#and how i loved watched scooby on boomerang (the old one when it was blue) and would get SO excited when a scooby movie marathon was on#instead of the regular episodes and would sit there for HOURS watching them. and how i always cried whenever we watched zombie island#like in what way can i possibly explain the force of that love to another human being. like where can i even start.#theres no magical order to watching can recreate that. i couldn't even tell someone where to start because ive been loving scooby since#before i can even remember. how can you even begin to share that with someone who didnt have those same experiences?#.......#i did it again didnt i#swishy you need to STOP-#blah

Fun Scooby Doo Facts You May Not Know/Remember
1. Shaggy’s full name is Norville ‘Shaggy’ Rogers, but he always goes by Shaggy. The name ‘Norville’ wasn’t given to the character until A Pup Named Scooby Doo, and since then the name has been used as the character's real (though often unused) name.
2. Similarly, the setting of Coolsville (or rather, the name) wasn’t used until A Pup Named Scooby Doo. And again, the setting has stuck and been used as the gang’s hometown, with a few exceptions (e.g. Mystery Incorporated). Despite the original show never giving a name to the city/town the gang is from, many people now consider it Coolsville and refer to it as such.
3. 3 different Mystery Inc. members have been stated to be the original owner of the Mystery Machine among various shows, films, and books: Fred, Daphne, and Shaggy.
4. In the original series, Shaggy is actually the athlete of the group. He is mentioned to be the best gymnast at their school, that he is on the school’s track team, and that he is the fastest runner among the Mystery gang members.
5. The mother of Scrappy-Doo is Scooby-Doo’s sister, Ruby-Doo. She appears in only two episodes in the entirety of Scooby-Doo. Her first appearance is in Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo as an adult, and her second appearance is as a puppy in A Pup Named Scooby Doo.
6. Mark Hamill has voiced over 13 characters, including himself, across different Scooby-Doo films and shows, with his first SD voice role as Corey Anders in The New Scooby-Doo Movies in 1973.
7. After Scooby and Shaggy, Daphne is the Mystery Inc. member that has appeared the most, as she was a main character in shows like The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries and The Thirteen Ghosts of Scooby Doo alongside Scooby, Shaggy, and Scrappy, while Velma and Fred rarely made appearances during that era.
8. The gang’s last names are never said on-screen in the original series.
9. The name “Mystery Inc.” is not used on-screen until 1998, in Zombie Island. Previously, they are only referred to as ‘the gang’ or the Scooby-Doo Detective Agency, a named used in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo and the New Scooby-Doo Mysteries.

ruby doo VS ben ravencroft
Tumblr media
ruby doo:
“She's Scrappy's mom! Granted she barely gets any screen time, but i think she's cool. Of Scooby's siblings, she was paired with Daphne in apnsd. Which is also fun given some of the Scrappy shows where Daphne is very prominent!”
ben ravencroft:
“He sexy and also Tim Curry is iconic.”
“tim curry had so much fun”
“Voiced by Tim Curry!”

Scooby-Doo! and the Phantom Thieves (Formerly known as Scooby-Doo! Meets Persona 5)
DISCLAIMER: The following crossover you're about to experience is a reimagining and a reinterpretation of the main story of the hit Persona 5 Strikers video game, depicting a world entirely separate from the main flow of the Scooby-Doo franchise and the worldwide RPG Persona series. Say, it's just like the Dead Rising 2: Off the Record video game - a "new version of an existing story"
Synopsis: Worlds collide as the casts of SCOOBY-DOO! and PERSONA 5 team up in a crossover ordeal that is a re-interpretation and reimagining of the hit Persona 5 Strikers video game - an alternate version of the same story!
Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang - Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy - embark on what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation once they visit modern-day Tokyo, but only to have been interrupted when events of something strange and supernatural occurred during their time of fun and games…literally! They find themselves in an alternate version of Tokyo in the Metaverse called a Jail, where people’s desires are being taken by the ruler’s shadow called Monarchs, complete with cop-resembling monsters called Shadows. As they try to find a way to escape, Scooby and the gang have another mystery on their hands as they are put on high alert - this time, there are no guys in rubber masks.
SIDE: SD (Scooby-Doo): After wrapping up yet another mystery, Velma got an invite from her pen-pal, asking her to come to Shibuya to visit. Once she, Fred, Daphne, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo arrived in modern-day Tokyo, however, they are in for an unexpected and supernatural surprise! Thanks to a recently popular app they installed called EMMA, the Mystery Inc. gang ended up in an entirely, different Tokyo filled with cop-resembling monsters called Shadows. Luckily, two masked teenagers and a cartoonish-like, talking cat came to their aid, calling themselves the Phantom Thieves! Once they return to the real world, Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby realized that a series of cases involving a "change of heart" are happening all over the country of Japan and their new friends are being under suspicion by the police for the recent cases from last year and their involvement. The Scooby gang will have to help their new Persona-using friends clear their names in their longest, most unexpected mystery yet...
But there’s another team also on the case as the Scooby gang ran into…the Phantom Thieves of Hearts from Persona 5, consist of normal teenagers-turned-Persona users Ren Amamiya, Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, Yusuke Kitagawa, Makoto Niijima, Futaba Sakura, Haru Okumura…and their talking black cat, Morgana! Why? Because they had stumbled into this world as well, thanks to a popular app called EMMA. Not only that, but their camping trip on summer vacation together has turned into a road trip when they are being the prime suspects of a series of cases involving a change of heart in people that is happening not only Shibuya, but all over the country of Japan, currently investigated by the Tokyo branch of the Public Security Bureau.
SIDE: P5 (Persona 5): Months have passed since Ren Amamiya left Tokyo after his probation ended, and now he and Morgana return to the bustling streets of Shibuya in order to enjoy summer vacation with their old friends and comrades - Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, Yusuke Kitagawa, Makoto Niijima, Futaba Sakura, and Haru Okumura. Unfortunately, despite the celebration, the smiling faces of his former teammates and comrades-in-arms weren't the only things awaiting Ren's arrival. Summoned by Lavenza of the Velvet Room, Ren learned from her that a new, potential danger threatens to consume him and the entire world, which made him become a prisoner of fate once again. This led Ren to a sudden conclusion - the Metaverse that he and the Phantom Thieves had worked so hard to destroy has return in an unexpected way! One day, while shopping for camping stuff, Ren, Ryuji, and Morgana find themselves transported from the real world and into an alternate version of Shibuya in the Metaverse in their Phantom Thief attire, all due to a popular app they installed called EMMA that somehow acted as the new Meta-Nav. There, they fought Shadows that dressed like cops, encountered an A.I. named Sophia, and in an unexpected plot twist, they are joined by Mystery Inc., consisting of Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and their talking dog, Scooby-Doo, who are also on the case when they have accidentally entered the Metaverse through EMMA as well. Once they return to the real world, the Phantom Thieves reassembled again to unravel this new Metaverse called the Jail, only to find themselves being suspected by the police for being involved in a series of Change of Heart incidents all over the country. But what if the Phantom Thieves and the recently joined Sophia...turn to Mystery Inc. for help?
Thinking that this case is similar to their previous adventure from last year** (**See Persona 5) and that someone is framing them by not changing people’s hearts under the same reasons as them, the Phantom Thieves reluctantly turn to Mystery Inc. to help them crack the case, leading both groups to team up - that means Scooby-Doo and Morgana will have to get along, right? They are joined by Sophia, a sentient A.I. who can detect the presence of Jails; and Zenkichi Hasegawa, a member of Public Security who needs both the Phantom Thieves and Mystery Inc.’s help to catch the true perpetrator.
But when the bad guys labeled the Phantom Thieves as terrorists, Scooby-Doo and the gang bravely try to rescue them from getting arrested and Zenkichi's daughter, Akane Hasegawa, will have to play a huge role as she summons her very own Persona and later joins the fray! To make matters worse, they’re suspected of being accomplices to the Phantom Thieves. Will both groups be able to get out of this situation and solve this very long and huge mystery?
WORLDS COLLIDE: SD/P5: Mystery Inc. find themselves in a very serious and long mystery and the Phantom Thieves' plans for summer vacation takes an unexpected plot twist when two groups join forces, using their mystery-solving and phantom-thieving skills to crack cases involving a change of heart across the cities of Japan, learning more about the circumstances of the Change of Heart epidemic and the Metaverse-like Jails... Who is behind it all, and to what end? And can Mystery Inc. help their new Persona-user friends find the truth behind these strange incidents...or will they end up being arrested by the police as well? The ordeal of the Phantom Thieves and Mystery Inc. has just begun...
Pack your Scooby Snacks and summon your Personas for this is the one crossover team-up you never expected that needs both mystery-solving…and phantom-thieving.
