Here, we will be seing which crackship is the best, and because that statement is vague, you get to make your opinion!

Each crackships was randomly agenced from Characters You chose! (This also sadly means we can't take more submissions, at least yet (mcyt crackships brackets V.2. Confirmed ???))

This is all meant to be in good fun, so please be respectfull with others and use propaganda the least wisely you can! (propaganda isn't endorsed, it's encouraged!)

Our thoughts and observations under the cut!

Round 1:

I clearly thought Ninjaslap would be the biggest sweep, but pixltoile suprisingly fought well, And fish yuri left no shot to Zaypixel and Geminitay

Round 1.1.3 was extremly close, but Shubble x Hypno won by O.8%! (≈4 peoples!)

We already got two piece of "propagandart" (propaganda art) in round 1, and both were for Fish yuri! (by @t4tpolypd and @staringamassivemistakeintheface)

Round 2:

Mogbeans/Swamp boys tried hard but T4T yuri was stronger (My boys 😭 - Admin 1)

Littlesoot got its ass kicked by hotguy/fundy and was crying in a corner when suddendly, out of nowhere, it took itlwblr by storm, broke containment, the poll broke 1k votes, became the most noted of the brackets (yet) and won with a large margin!

FWhilza fought well but Bighills was stronger

Fish Yuri still prevail with the biggest sweep yet (87.3%!!!)

Jojosolos/Jack Manifold vs Tommyinnit/Scott Smajor was the closest yet! (50.1 to 49.9!!!!)

Scegg vs Stresstherine was so close it switched side at least 5 times!

i'm genuenely impressed by clownscar comeback they've constantly been close but didn't get ahead during the whole poll and somehow managed to win in the last stretch!

Fish Yuri is unstopable and has killed many great ships now (rip Bighills we loved you so much)

Oh, Ratthi, my beloved...🥰

First impression

Like a lot of us, I only had eyes for Murderbot the first time I read ASR---the human team absolutely got shoved to my mental backburner while I was busy relating to MB. In the five seconds I did spend thinking about Ratthi, it was mostly in a "oh, so this is going to be the problem child, huh?" way when he almost walked outside into the worm's mouth.

Impression now

I love him, your honor.

But also, he is an all-around delightful human being. There's a kindness and an earnestness to his character that is just so endearing you can't help but like him, especially when you layer in the fact that he's excellent at his job, great at adapting to high-pressure situations on the fly, and has the people skills to successfully navigate the absolutely wild interpersonal interactions that the series keeps throwing at him.

Favorite moment

That whole sequence in Fugitive Telemetry where he and Gurathin drop everything to help Murderbot do some light breaking and entering. It feels like the equivalent of an errand hang-out, but if your bestie spends its spare time solving murders rather than picking up dry cleaning and going to Target. I love the implication that this is just what they do now, once Murderbot has settled into the group. Friends help friends with projects, right? So, obviously, Ratthi is going to help in whatever way he can.

Idea for a story

I kind of want to do more of his PoV for various scenes throughout the series. He's present for so many of the juiciest scenes---there's a lot to work with!

Also, it might be fun to do something with his friendship with Arada and Overse, perhaps with some backstory on their first meetings and how they moved from colleagues to besties.

Unpopular opinion

In all honesty, I don't feel like there's too much pressure re: popular vs. unpopular opinions in the Murderbot corner of the internet. The only thing that comes to mind with Ratthi is that I think we tend to...soften him a little too much sometimes. There's a tendency to focus mostly on his skill as a people person or a friendly face, not necessarily on the fact that if he wasn't so good at his actual job, he probably wouldn't be on Mensah's team. We see him tackle gory jobs like cleaning up the battle aftermath on ART in Network Effect, we see him jump into helping with medical emergencies, and in Fugitive Telemetry, he immediately identifies that "someone was dead here" when they come upon the scene of the murder because the physical signs are obvious to a biologist. As far as the humans of the series go, Ratthi is very capable!

Favorite relationship

Aside from the obvious friendship with Murderbot itself, I really do love that he's best friends with Arada and Overse. I love that these three stuck together for the next survey to follow the disastrous events of ASR. I love that their friendship is so obvious and loud that even Book One Murderbot could immediately point it out. I just really like seeing healthy platonic friendships (especially ones that coexist with and do not compete against healthy romantic ones involving some of the same characters), okay?

Favorite headcanon

The infamous "Who's this?" line from ASR was a full-on my-brain-is-short-circuiting-and-my-mouth-got-ahead-of-my-mind moment, not necessarily an ah-yes-a-stranger-to-be-introduced moment.

I don’t know if this one’s been asked before, but for your character ask game, thoughts on Kenjaku?

My first impression: My immediate first question was "the hell going on with the stitches..."

My impression now: Oh, yeah, Kenjaku is definitely a problem... but damn it, they are entertaining!

Favorite thing about that character: It's so funny to me that Kenjaku is this brain that somehow caused more issues than Sukuna does.

Least favorite thing: It's not even a bad thing, just I wish there was just a tad bit more of what the Heian Era was like for them. However, I'm all up for using my imagination for that.

Favorite line/scene: Ooh, there is a couple, but I have to go with their exit scene at the end of Shibuya. Overall, just that whole bit from Yuji and Kenjaku first crossing paths to the exit is my one of my favorite scenes. But OMG, when it got animated??? The music, the voice acting, the animation with all the curses and everyone was just... I loved that!!!

Favorite interaction that character has with another: I did like the whole Kenjaku vs. Takaba bit. That felt like a fever dream, but it was funny and I liked it!!

A character that I wish that character would interact with more: The Itadori Family. The only thing I hate (not really) about the exit scene from the Shibuya Arc is that it's the last time we seen Kenjaku interact with Yuji. Unfair, I say, unfair! I wished there had been more scenes with what it was like Kenjaku!Kaori in the Itadori household. I wished there had been at least one more scene where Kenjaku and Yuji crossed paths again.

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character: All For One from My Hero Academia. A big bad who is a terrible parent, causes problems for everyone, has body hopped, philosophies, and has multiple powers?

A headcanon about that character: Oooh, do I have a headcanon for Kenjaku? Okay, I do. I actually mention this in my Blissfully Clueless fic. I headcanon that Kenjaku can sew. It just makes sense to me that over the years they picked it up as a hobby and come on, the stitches thing? I wouldn't be surprised if they did make a baby blanket for Yuji.

A song that reminds of that character: Every time now I hear a piano or a violin I'm going to think back to that song that played during their exit scene.

An unpopular opinion about that character: I think this would also count as a headcanon, but I think that Kenjaku tends to also act like the person whose body they inhabit at that time. Like, Suguru and Kenjaku are totally two different people, don't get me wrong (before someone freaks out). But I think during the year of inhabiting Suguru's body, Kenjaku does pick up his traits. That scene when they started laughing, they mentioned "I'm starting to act like him". I had a feeling they meant Suguru. What if, hear me out, Kenjaku didn't have their own personality to begin with? But the more bodies they possess, the more personalities they pick up and it just jumbled into the Kenjaku we know today?

Favorite picture: Okay, I will always be tickled at this scene in 160 because it's like... imagine being Sasaki who was sleeping and then you see this standing over you.

I think we’re reading May We Be Spared to Meet on Earth at roughly the same time and are currently at roughly the same parts. I just wanted to say I think that’s very cool of us 😌 Do you have any favorite letters so far?

You're right that is very cool of us! Let me just uhhh look through my notes...

So far my favorite letters have been Goodsir's letter to his dad which I reblogged from you, for the reasons in the post. Goodsir is so bluntly endearing, somehow. He seems very young. Oh I've just looked up how old Goodsir was when the expedition vanished and he was 28. Oh alright then. I'm emotional about this.

Other favorite letter so far was unexpectedly one of John Irving's, to his sister-in-law Catherine. This paragraph really hit me as like, a premonition of the upcoming disaster:

"I intended to write something to amuse you, but I find I cannot help being serious. Everything around me, and every duty I am engaged in, tend at present to make me so-- I mean all keep me so much alive the feeling of a long separation from those near and dear to me. Even in writing I am reminded that a terrible long pause of anxious suspense is before me, when I can only hope, without the prospect of tidings of good or ill. So, my dear Katie, do not blame me that you should have been, whilst reading the mass of scribbling, obliged to banish your usual smiles. I will write you yet again, so I shall not take a very formal farewell of you at this time. My most brotherly love to my dear Lewis. --Yours very affectionately, John Irving."

Irving also sent back to England a number of drawings. Several men did but Irving's seem to be the best of the ones included in the book. Also, of two skeletons returned to England at the time of the McClintock expedition, one of them was identified as Irving by the presence of a maths medal next to the body, which I find deeply endearing. This book has made me a big Irving fan, honestly. Didn't have any strong feelings about him before starting reading this and now I'm like ough... my guy.

My other observation so far is that it seems like Franklin was unfairly characterized in the show, as his letters so far paint a picture of a fairly cautious man.

It is Fitzjames who is the king of hubris.

There are multiple letters where the endnotes make note of how the things he is saying shows he does not have a good understanding of the Arctic and that's really interesting to me from the perspective of seeing show!Crozier and Fitzjames' relationship conflict early on as coming from a place of Crozier's experience vs Fitzjames' support of Franklin's dismissal of him, with the idea (I had always thought) being that Franklin thinks his feelings of optimism and belief God will see them through are substitutes for dealing with the material realities of that place. And like, no! Actually that should have been Fitzjames, going off these letters! But it makes sense from a character writing perspective. Foolish, foolish man. Excited to see how my opinion of this evolves as I continue to read.

Also, Fitzjames' aggressive confidence in repeatedly pestering John Barrow Jr. about whether he's gotten the position or not is honestly kind of inspiring in a "if this man from the 1840s can speak like he knows anything when he clearly doesn't I myself should step up game in these job interviews". There's one particular letter that absolutely floored me, and it was the 11th of February one:

"In case of Crozier's appointment I send you a letter to Beaufort asking him to try for Le Vesconte which pray send at once as soon as you know I am not to go-- if I am appointed tear it up-- .... Mind I am in confident expectations of the Second Ship in Franklin's expedition nothing else is worth having." [I have used italics where there were underlines]

Nothing else is worth having. Absolutely awful, vainglorious man. This has made me dearly want to write my own version of my headcanon first meeting of "Fitzjames puffs himself up, fails to impress Crozier, feels rejected about it and forms a grudge" because holy shit, he is actually so much worse than I already thought. Also because "nothing else is worth having" would be a banger title.

I do appreciate that Fitzjames seems to have been a man who is eager to lift other men up, as this is not the only time he makes suggestions to Barrow Jr. about appointments and promotions-- if he was obsessed with status for himself he was at least trying to lift his friends up, as well. Pity this doesn't extend to Crozier! Would have been a very different expedition if it did!

First impression: Ok so Some Jay lore Deadass I thought I was gonna hate him I was so sure Ryouga was where I was gonna go if I had to pick a favorite and, with a lot of the bits I got before actually watching, Kaito just did not fit the characters I was drawn most towards at the time. I used to stick to more light-hearted, sunshine characters, like token dumbasses with hearts of gold with a few exceptions to which Ryouga was gonna be because I IRL am such an aggressive fan of sharks the animals, plus he was the ~bff~ trope character in my eyes and this was someone who lived breathed and died Takeru Homura and Katsyua Jounouchi And while I love Kaiba and Ryoken, it took some time to find love for them

Impression now: Uh. He's alright. Just ignore my social media, how I took Photon to 2 YCSs despite the very poor matchup conditions(AND WENT 2-2 FOR FOUR ROUNDS WITH IT IN PEAK KASH FORMAT!!! SIMPLY BE BUILT DIFFERENT), and the near 10k and growing character analysis oh and like majority of the fanfiction I've written for the last 1.5 yrs now plus this tweet:

sweats profusely To say he's impacted me quite a bit would be an understatement. Everytime something photon related happens in the tcg, I wake up to 10 different DMs and it's all this twink's fault

Favorite moment: omfg how does one pick a favorite when the character has become your entire life for a minute LOL Uhhhhhhhhh I will say I have the clip of him jumping into the cockpit saved on my phone for chuckles ajgkdlsj I love his duel against Ryouga, it's very showing of his character and his impact, also love how they banter His rematch duel with Yuma at the end of Part 1 is also really good, love to see him encounter his own uncertainty and let himself be inspired by Yuma I love that he stares at the footage of Mizael in the monitors in his lab like a freak after their first duel His duel with Shun in Arc V is always a rewatchable one

Idea for a story: Every story you could imagine!!!!! The one I'm currently most actively working on between upcoming ship week work is a semi-complicated post canon AU that has a past life subplot to it because lord I'm just gonna fill in the wasted potential subplots for Kaito myself at this rate ALLEGEDLY Have an OC I'm working on that ties back to him too, that's also lowkey in that lore also Stay tuned :)

Unpopular opinion: UH, the one I wanna say I'll wait for another ask that's currently in my inbox gjdsal So here is another from the analysis from another take I saw awhile ago:

I also think one of the long forgotten truths of Zexal is Yuma rarely sees anyone as a true villain. There are a few exceptions to this of course, Don Thousand and Mr. Heartland both come to mind, but Yuma manages to find compassion in just about everyone he faces and uses dueling as a way to bridge the gap between him and them, even ones who arguably don’t deserve it like Faker, Tron, and… well, beloved mothman Vector. If Kaito was ever supposed to look like a terrible person when he’s at the height of his crime spree, we would have seen that from Yuma’s perspective. Instead we see Yuma's fear, his intrigue, and ultimately, his motivation. Motivation to protect Astral from what’s to come, and then following the conclusion of the Kaito vs Zexal duel, motivation to help Kaito, and finally, the motivation to get to his level. Instead of the same treatment we get for other unforgivable types, we get to see Kaito for what he is beneath the snark, the beatdown strategies, and the unconditional love for his brother: he's lonely, he's incredibly desperate, and he's dangerously selfless for those who are the most important to him, so much so he initially struggled to find his next purpose.

I'm also on record for considering Kaito the strongest of all of the rivals lmao

Favorite relationship: Honestly all of them, family, ships, friends, I love how Kaito is written with others both in the shows(Zexal and Arc V both), the manga, and even Duel Links gives some of his lesser shown rivalries and connections more depth Kaito and Ryouga's rivalry is proooobably my favorite though? Especially including Duel Links moments, they've got so much in common but just will not connect unless it's to show the other up, but you know it's game over when they can find a strong reason to remain on the same page Also the card Photon Emperor exists, which is one, named very suspiciously, two, has a similar cape design to Nasch with the shoulder gems and the cape being attached by those pieces, and 3, very notably resurrects itself when it's sent to GY from hand, deck, or when it's detached as material from an XYZ At the same time, I LOVE Kaito and Mizael's entire story too, both as a rivalry and a relationship, god they're so good and it's truly so hard to put into words how much I love their dynamic, the parallels, how they match each other's crazy, they have my longest ship playlist gjkldadas For Arc V, I'm also a sucker for Kaito and Shun as well as Kaito and Edo Shun went back for him and wasn't going to quit until he convinced him,,, and Edo and Kaito have such strong chemistry for no reason, it's not unwelcome at all-- they just threw men at him for some reason and I'm all for it

Favorite headcanon:

I ALWAYS write him as both touch repulsed and touch starved because he's almost never shown without his jacket during canon except for a handful of flashbacks and exactly that one examination scene, and even in the flashbacks, all you get is his forearms from his one collared shirt

[ Dynama Zarrow ] Nope. Either the religious talk would drive me stir crazy or I'd drive them stir crazy with the fact that I make several jokes About God, and various other things.

[ Tejuri Kromab ] Hell yeah! Granted our Southern-Hospitality might collide a bit, but not in anyway negative! I'd be interested in what she's writing just out of pure curiosity. I am sharing some sweet tea with her.

[ Presae Covnul ] Split. Doesn't know half of the electrical appliances I'd be using, and would probably tear them apart. But otherwise seems like a pretty chill roomie! Would make a mean soup that would cure me of all diseases.

[ Pardus Rubato ] Split. Would probably blare the music she's working on at 2 am. While the music in itself is impressive, but I'd be tormented with unwarranted AMV's every time I take my headphones off. But I must also consider that, 1. is kitty 2. PARKOUR.

[ Retris Morage ] Wouldn't Mind! Having a decent place wouldn't be out of the question, and a pretty nice guy once you befriend him! Probably would pester him with too many questions though given his knowledge.

[ Ajax Barrett ] I don't see why not! Watching shitty or good movies sounds like an absolute TIME with him, plus I'd like to take him to a rage room and absolutely Wail on a TV.

[ Emeric Sargas ] Split. We'd need an entirely separate ventilated room so I don't get attacked by fumes that could kill me, but otherwise would be a fun roomie! I think they'd be interesting to talk to, even if my brain would get melted a little. But I'm pretty sure it's already halfway there on it's own.

[ Kausat Stolar ] ...Split, but leaning on yes. Got the same interest of Weird Houses. Although he takes it a bit more... Seriously then I do. Would absolutely not go with them on a Abandoned House exploration, but would absolutely make him Worse by showing him the game "ANATOMY".

[ Inaniloquent Commander - Inaco ] Split, leaning on no. On one hand, the garden would FLORISH. On the other, no leniency on rules would probably jack up my anxiety real bad.

[ Argebi Kromab ] Unsure... I'm sure she's wonderful, and the package deal with Khanda doesn't bother me too much, but it's a living situation where it'd drift more into "You do your thing, and I do mine". Can't really say for sure why!

[ Meseri Covnul ] No, but for my own safety & sanity. I'd like to keep my skeleton, thank you.

[ Khanda Morage ] Split. He'd tell me something Entirely Untrue, and the worst part is that I might believe him if I have no knowledge of the subject in the first place. Would be embarrassing in the long run. But, is hilarious, and probably plays a mean DND game.

[ Arsine Sargas ] Running so so far away. She'd get a wiff of my brainworms and use them to her advantage. No thanks. + The apartment would smell like wet cigarettes' 24/7.

[ Ochosi Stolar ] Split. High energy would probably get me pretty exhausted after a while, but in moderation would be pretty cool! Would give me near heart attacks though with the kinda stunts he's doing.

Wow, the first thing I want to say is how incredibely talented you are. The stories you have written, particularly Asis, is nothing short of masterpieces. I stumbled upon Asis when i started using ao3 a little over a year ago, and after reading countless of well-written fics, none have left an impression quite like Asis (in my humble opinion, of course hehe). I found myself hooked from the very first chapter and loved every word from the beginning to the end. At times I even had to pause reading in order to just feel the intense emotions stirred in me - from absolute joy, to sadness and at times even anger. Never has a fic hit something so deep in me and I still find myself thinking about Asis every now and then, just lingering in my thoughts. Whether I’m on the bus, walking my dog, or even when I’m at work, I find myself picturing Loki, Narvi and reader in various scenarios:’))

Despite being in a different continent and thousand miles away, you have impacted my life (without intending to sound overly dramatic). You have an incredible talent for capturing the essence of the characters and have such a way with words. Each emotion, dialouge, and relationship feels so authentic and genuine. It's easy to see how many hits/kudos a fic has and forget that each of those has an actual person behind the screen experiencing the fic with me. The fact you think of asis Loki and Narvi while you're doing such mundane activities makes me smile. It's always going to be a little crazy to wrap my head around.

First impression - He was a redhead?!?! Or like some kind of brunette?? To preface this, I didn't get to see DBZ as a kid as I only was able to catch the original Dragon Ball after school, so. But I decided to watch DBZ as an adult and seeing his first appearance being so colorful was very much a shock. I wonder how he'd look if they kept the original color palette throughout the show instead of giving him black hair/blue clothes. DBZ grew into its own art style over the years vs the feel of DB so just an interesting thought.

Impression now - He is both funny and an ass but also has deep underlying traits that I don't think are talked about/explored enough in the show. Like he focuses on his desire to fight and outmatch Goku but not much else. It's so OBVIOUS that there are all these other dynamics/thoughts/feelings going on and part of his internal conflict but you never SEE it or hear it talked about but maybe in passing. Honestly, I think this is just a weakness to DBZ in general. Overall, Vegeta is a cool character though that has a lot going on.

Favorite moment - When he lost his shit after Cell killed Future!Trunks.

Idea for a story - LOVE your idea of Vegeta meeting Goku during the events of Dragon Ball during his kid years. But if I had to pick my own, I'd love to see the in between dynamics between him, Bulma and Trunks. Again, these are relationship dynamics I want to see explored more within the DBZ show's timeline. I want to see how he got from A - B, to see his growth and see is change from his "Dark Prince" set on destruction personality, to his love of Earth and settling down and wanting to protect it.

Unpopular opinion - Don't think I have one for him tbh. Agree with your sentiment that the show should have ended wayyyy earlier than it did tho.

Favorite relationship - Yeah, Vegetabul has grown on me. I was kinda sidelined by the show changing Bulma and Yamcha to suddenly pairing Bulma and Vegeta but... I get it.

Favorite headcanon - I haven't watched GT and stuff so idk if this has actually happened but I love to think that he would simply smack a highschooler if it meant defending Trunks from any type of bullying. He'd obviously scold him for not beating the bully himself and blame hanging out with Goten for making him non-confrontational, but he is not beneath fighting a child haha.

a day at the beach - iko x strom

LOOK this is not a weird ship. I'm rereading Winter right now and hate that Marissa killed Strom off, because the dynamic between him and Iko would be pretty interesting. Well, it's practically the same as Kiko, but in my opinion, a Lunar wolf soldier is more impressive than Kinney.

This is a oneshot about Strom feeling excluded from the Rampion Crew at the beach and Iko's first kiss. This was written in one sitting so please be merciful. It's a little bit messy.

Iko was sprawled across a beach towel, feeling drowsy under the scorching summer sun. She wore an illegally dark pair of sunglasses that almost completely obscured her vision. Unfortunately, that prevented her from staring at the gorgeous French boys splashing water at the horizon. Fortunately, they could see her, and she was wearing her cutest pink bikini. She loved turning her auditory processor up and hearing their lusted mumbles.

A hurricane of sand disrupted the rest, accompanied by a heavy thump. Annoyed, Iko took off her sunglasses to find Strom sitting beside her, looking ridiculous in a pair of orange swim trunks. He scowled ferociously at the horizon, scaring all the seagulls away from their vicinity. Kids that were originally playing near them scurried away to their parents.

Iko sat up, baring an impressive scowl herself. “Oh, great. Now I’ll have sand stuck in my joints for days until Cinder can clear it up. Thanks, Alpha.”

He looked away. “Sorry.” She studied him. It was unlike Strom to apologize or display any emotion other than sarcasm or anger. He was exaggeratedly slouched over his knees, as if forcing himself to forget the stiff posture Thaumaturges commanded him into. Even after his readjustments after the war, the Lunar surgery was visible even now. Unnaturally large hands and feet, sharp jawline, pointy canines, bulging muscles, its shape visible through a too-tight white shirt. Strom was distant through everything. Frustratingly so, even after Iko’s efforts to crack his shell.

“You okay? Aren’t dogs supposed to like the beach?”

The soldier chuckled without humor. “Shut up. I’m only here because your Special Op keeps sending me looks. Like I’d steal his mate.”

Iko raised an eyebrow, flipping behind a braid. Hmm… Alpha vs Alpha. “Don’t talk about Scarlet like that. If you actually took the time to get to know us, you’d see that we’re your friends. We actually want to form a relationship with you.”

His eyes flicked towards hers. “Do you want to form a relationship with me?”

“I—well—I’m just saying that you don’t have to be so closed up all the time. Being a hateful little brat might’ve worked back on the moon, but here, we actually like to enjoy each other.”

“Hateful little brat…”

She sighed. “Listen—” “No, you listen to me!” Strom growled, sudden anger soaring through his body. He planted both palms on each side of her hips. A tinge of helplessness surged through his expression and his whispers landed directly on her lips. “I didn’t want to come here, to France, to Earth. Selene commanded me to ‘take a break’. She knew that I couldn’t resist an order from my queen, but I don’t have to like it. You guys preach about how kind and good you are, but I know you only talk to me out of pity. Pity for the weak runt. Pity for the lesser Alpha. I’m better off alone, and you know it. So stop pretending like you care about me.”

Iko blinked, waiting for her internal processor to compute those words. Did he really think that? “I know I can’t speak on behalf of the crew, but I genuinely care about you, much as I hate to admit it.” He drew his gaze to her palm on his forearm. “It might take a while to get used to having people that care about you, but… you’re not a soldier anymore. You’re someone I want to know.”

There was a minute of silence where Strom searched her face. They were still in that intimate position. He was almost straddling her. She tightened the grip on his arm and felt something. A pulse.

“It’s weird,” he murmured. “Your scent is like perfume and iron. Even though you’re not human, you still smell like blood.”

Iko slowly straightened, getting closer and closer to his face. He placed a steady palm on the small of her back, and she would’ve melted right then if not for those three urgent words: “We should kiss.”

He wasted no time in crushing their mouths together. He was hungry, desperately licking every tooth, dragging a tongue across her right cheek. She’d dreamed about heated embraces many times before, but none of them were as real as Strom’s weight against her stomach, pressing them closer, closer. She used her spare hand to run through his bushel of brown curls, blissful as she caught a whiff of his shampoo.

She recalled the net-dramas and exposed her neck. A deep noise vibrated at the edge of his throat before he started nosing her jugular. Soft moans escaped through their lips, quiet pleads to keep going. Iko trailed her fingers along the edge of his shirt and almost tore it off, loving the flash of brown skin— “Excuse me!”

They pulled apart, staring at the figure of a fuming lifeguard hovering above them. Pink rushed through Strom’s cheeks, an unusually adorable look.

“This is not private property! Please leave all public displays of affection inside your bedroom. There are children watching.”

Indeed, theirs were not the only flabbergasted faces staring at the pair. Frozen at the shoreline, all of her friends gaped at the unlikely duo. Iko grinned. She loved being unpredictable.

“Sorry, sir,” Strom said, not holding back a cheeky grin. “We’ll try to keep our hands off of each other this time.”

As soon as the guard went away, Iko slapped his arm. “We’ll try to keep our hands off of each other this time? What were you thinking?”

He threw back his head and laughed. “Am I going to beat you at volleyball or would you rather spend your time whining?”

Iko pressed a kiss against his jaw, loving the way he tensed up. “You’re on.”
