Going to the Berlin Philharmonie tonight to hear this (among others) performed by the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. I'm not familiar with Zemlinsky or the Polish NRSO, but am very much looking forward to the Philharmonie.

𝒔𝒚𝒏𝒐𝒑𝒔𝒊𝒔 moka ends a closing shift with jonathan.
𝒇𝒐𝒓 @jonathanxmk ♡
moka’s days are a series of happenings in which she gets easily lost.
even though it’s only been a month since classes resumed again, she already feels as if she’s two weeks of work behind on the summoning and casting class. she’d always been better at the “remembering” classes than the “doing” classes, so she definitely has to ask somebody to help her with that. it’s all work for later, anyways. even more than that, the customers at bubbling boba today were being particularly harsh. one cursed her after they told her that she made milk tea instead of the jasmine tea that they’d ordered (moka was pretty sure they ordered milk tea…), another was persistent with asking for a discount, and the third just seemed to have a bad day.
she manages, though, for the most part. after adjusting for a bit, moka finds it harder to get overwhelmed. her emotions aren’t intense to the point where she can’t control how her body reacts anymore. the only thing that’s left on her mind on days like these is going back to the dorms and doing something that she actually likes. it’s evening now, and she’s working the closing shift today, so it’s only about ten minutes until she can go and do exactly that.
she’s lost in her own thoughts, zoning out until she sees a face that has become… a bit too familiar. “jonathan?” she says to herself, tilting her head when she stares through the glass door from behind the counter. seeing him around is the first hint of excitement in an otherwise dispassionate day, but of course, her revelry is hard to differentiate from her usual state of indifference. “johnny,” she says again, waving as if she’s willing him to come in. he’s seen her upset, she’s more than certain, but she’s already decided that the two are not going to discuss deeply philosophical topics today. instead, moka gives in to a smile.
