tbh i think ludgers most toxic trait is that he has the tendency to become so fixated on his goals that he often takes what he has in the present for granted. even in his past life, he was so focused on studying to become a doctor/scientist that he forgot to treasure the current relationships with his mom and his sister, leaving him to die full of regrets, and them with no closure. and then onto the next life, he is so focused on getting his past life back that he is carelessly throwing all connections he has been making in the new world away, albeit how much they mean to him or make him happy. he considers these relationships to be simply passing connections that are fine to have and also fine to lose, but how much of that is true? even if he views this place as a purgatory where everything is fake and temporary, his existence is real, and thus, so are his feelings. no matter how much he tries not to have any lingering attachments, the connections we have with others, regardless of how deep or shallow, are what makes us human and impossible to avoid. we tend to not know what we've got until it's gone, and regrets happen when we realise we should have appreciated what we used to have. ludger believes that regrets have had no place in his mind since the day he was born into the new world, and yet regrets for his past are ultimately the reason why he is pushing himself so hard to achieve his goals. how much more contradictory and hypocritical can this man get? how can he be so sure that he would be happy leaving this world behind with so many regrets deeply buried in his heart? has he learned nothing after all?

Yeah, Heath still dies in that AU so it's literally just single mom Krolia raising her Keith by herself- or in this case, the twins. She rigs up some illusion tech that lets her blend in a little easier... or at least the Krolia definition of 'blending in' which basically means not being visibly purple.

I think Keith and Akira in the Garrison together would drive like. so many people insane. They're probably two of the best pilots they've ever seen, but they're also just so weird. They don't live on campus housing. They live out in the desert with their mom, who is also very weird. They mostly seem to kind of just ignore everyone else around them, except for Shiro and Adam.

And it's not out of malevolence, necessarily! It's the same kind of tunnel vision that really only let Keith see James because he was on a closer level to him than Lance ever was. He's number one, and then there's the guy right below him- and maybe tangentially the other top five. So if Keith has a twin who shares his reflexes and piloting abilities, they're basically just going to spend all their time at the Garrison competing with each other.
