One of the things abt smallville lois is like. Yes she's brave and fierce and all that but shes also wrong like all the time. Sometimes her stubbornness is defending a story she believes in sometimes its other random things bc she will Die on Any Hill. And it drives Clark crazy because she is sooo confident and she is sooo cocky bc she doesnt care if shes wrong. She doesnt care about being perfect and he has no idea what that's like. He's always wracking his brain did I do what's right? Was I a gentleman? Do I live up to what people think of me? And Lois is like I always steal the little soaps at bath and body works. And he's like what???? You can't just do that. You certainly can't admit that so easily. She will be this close to getting killed (for her own actions) and be rescued and be like wow another daring escape from Lois Lane and Clark's like IF I HADNT SAVED YOU YOUD BE A PANCAKE DONT U WANNA HAVE SOME HUMILITY and shes like no ❤️ and he can't say anything because it's easier to do ANYTHING else but argue with her.

What I love most about Lex and Otis' relationship is that all insults and mistreatments on Lex' part fall flat with Otis. He doesn't care, he never truly feels threatened by Lex at all. His care and his belief in Lex' good side is so genuine that it disarms Lex completely, there's no bite to his threats. Even when Lex fired him he showed up the next day to make sure he was okay. He risked his life to save Lex several times without Lex asking him, in fact, Lex often asked him to stay out of harm. He saw Lex make bad choices countless times and still believed he was capable of good. He knew Lex was just playing the role of the evil villain because everyone expected that from him. Can you fucking imagine if Otis and Lex met before Lex spiraled? Fuck Clark, Otis would have single handedly saved Lex from darkness with his honest lack of judgment and ability to see into his heart. That's why they had to introduce him in s11 otherwise there would be no show and no villain.
